Shorter guy in casual black appearing to trap the taller man with folded arms against a wall and grab his tie in a threatening move: 少管我，听懂没？[Don't bother/mind me, understand? (Snappy, rude)]

Taller guy in beige coat, detective vibes grabbing the shorter man's leg and neck to spin him against the wall, tables have turned: 老实点小少爷 [Be honest, young master.]

Taller guy, moving his hand from the neck to cup the shorter man's cheek: 我可没那么耐心 [I'm not that patient.]

Shorter man looks startled by the action, then lets go of the tie, looking downwards with a sombre expression as he's chastised.

Like, let's first appreciate the outfits because yes.

And also it's the the "少管我，听懂没？" — which can be translated to "Don't bother me" or "Don't care/mind for me" and that's very Kaito- defensiveness of refusing to rely on anyone when he secretly fears putting them in trouble and aggressively reacting to Saguru's persistence

VS Saguru just dismantling that "老实点小少爷，我可没那么耐心" and his solemn (but also a little spicy snide bite) demand for honesty, that he's aware and seen through Kaito, merely just waiting for the truth to be revealed.

Could see this play out as canon but it also feels like Saguru as a more experienced detective or even a heir to a mob/business empire vibes of he runs the world and he knows how ugly it is.

A redraw of lower one's eye kaishin au i made for a friend last year 😋 I'm happy to say that I'm better at drawing people dancing nowadays.

Old art :

A small yap about the changes i made. First of all, i made the hair longer based on the idea that having longer hair would help you get better with magic/mana control (something i took from Dungeon Meshi). Then i made the outfit kaito used to be more similar to the 'lower one's eyes' version. I'm going to miss the cape. I might recolor it too one day.

I'd imagine rather than shinichi imagining the dance happening between them like in the mv. They're both dancing to the news of kaito's announcement of capture and execution. (How romantic/s) Something happened that made the town wary of dark magic and to take the suspicion away from shinichi. The town people would not stop the search until they find the 'perpetrator' and shinichi situation made her look like the prime suspect. Kaito went and orchestrated it like it was all her doing.

This dance is a final request made by kaito. Shinichi feels guilty for indirectly driving kaito to her death. She's capable of hiding and running away, so why doesn't she? Kaito has long accepted her fate. She's lived for centuries and doesn't regret meeting shinichi despite the warnings akako gave her.

Kaito wishes shinichi would stop crying, though
