A lot of Inscryption doodles I did after I watched Markiplier play a year ago - but as I type this I’m fucking feral for the game so there’s even more art to appear.

1: Trying to figure out what they looked like to me (this has changed lmao)

speaking my truth i do not like grimora's starter deck. i dont care for the godfather ect ect. it was the first one i chose when i got into act 2 and i had to reload the save because it was just so... not for the faint of heart i think honestly.

I think the Scrybes should be more intrinsically connected to their residences and not just their domains. Yes, Leshy is a beast and therefore is a part of the domain he lords over, but he should have a connection with the forest too. A tree falls and he feels it just as much as he can feel a tap on the shoulder. P03 leaves its factory and the machines ache for its presence—they still run the same, but their belts cannot change direction or oil themselves without a wave of its claw. Even his own wires spark and twitch when something breaks further down the line, even when he hasn’t plugged himself into the network of cameras. The ghouls feel themselves returning to their dead-state the longer Grimora is gone; she feels a persistent itch when one of them finally gives in and starts trying to dig up their old coffin. Magnificus’s entire tower reeks of magicks, residual of its hegemon’s frequent casting. It’s so tied to him that when he paints the floorboards creak and groan in a desperate attempt to mimic the motion of his brushstrokes, Magnificus feeling more than just his eyes ache when the studio’s walls lean in for a closer look.

So, I was thinking, what species are the scrybes? Like, Leshy is obviously a leshy (a Slavic forest spirit,) P03 is a robot/android, Grimora is probably some sort of undead, a ghoul maybe. But Magnificus? That motherfucker is an enigma. I, however, have two theories.

Theory 1: Magnificus is a tree animated by magic (or, in Inscryption, "magick.")

Theory 2: Magnificus is an Urayuli. He looks similar enough to the Urayuli card, but he's weaker, and smaller, than Urayulis are normally, so, perhaps he's a runt Urayuli who learned "magick" to make up for his weakness. I mean, even him having neon eyes makes sense because "real" Urayulis are thought to have luminescent eyes.

Well votes are in! Looks like you all want a prompt with one of the canon scrybes! Now since I've already written one for P03 in the past I will be refrain from writing a new one this go around. However that prompt is still open for responses on my rp blog @junosshadowlibrary which i have reblogged so you all won't have to scroll! Just make sure to read the rules post before interacting with that prompt.
