Well, I don' think I'm going to top @writernopal's musical number there, but I do have some ongoing stuff, the main one being Empty Names, an episodic monster-of-the-week urban fantasy story. Not much romance there as half the cast is a-spec and the other half has way too much else on their mind for romance to even be on their radar, but if you want drama and angst we've got:

A programmer trying to DIY her transition via magictech mad science and semi-accidentally creating her own AI-assisted magic system.

A young wizard coping with realizing he doesn't have a home to go back to after returning from his decade-long magical isekai adventure.

A monster hunter who's resigned herself to her hobby getting her killed by forty but still makes time for having a social life.

A former(?) assassin who inherited a fortune from his wife whom he probably killed, may or may not eat people, goes out of his way to provoke nearly everyone he meets, and tells bedtime stories to his best friend when they can't sleep.

The world-hopping adventurer who gathered all these weirdos together onto one team, comes across to everyone as just about perfect and infallible, and is one really bad day away from a complete breakdown.

Or if you want something a little slower paced, I have The Archivist's Journal, a slice-of-life on a fantasy tropical island with peppered with a dash of supernatural spookiness, existential dread, and anxiety. This one's more "finished" than "ongoing", but if you want the full experience of it, you can always start at Day 1, and then read one entry/post every day for a year. Or binge it all 330,000 words of it over the course of a week. I'm not going to tell you how to read.

And if you find yourself in the mood for a relatively quick bite of something different, I've got a few standalone short stories (this is where my romance and romance-adjacent writing lives):

The Tale of the Merchant and the Blacksmith's Daughter: A sapphic fairy tale.

The Melts: An attempt to shift what would normally be body horror into the genre of slice-of-life. "What if your body slowly melting over the course of the day were treated as no more serious than the common cold and you still had to go to work?"

Kindly Basilisk: A human mech pilot who wants to be a machine, an AI who wants to be human, and the relationship they form.

Where are all the stories???

Is it just me or is there much less fiction coming across my Tumblr dash right now (or altogether?) I still see a fair amount of short whump prompt-type things, which is great, but what I really want are some ongoing OC stories I can get invested in! Something romantic, whumpy, dramatic, angsty, or (even better) all of the above? 🙏

I know people are SO busy right now, but I know I'm not the only one who actually tends to do MORE reading this time of year! (Or maybe I'm just procrastinating on other stuff, but oh well!😄)

And of course, I may have just missed some great stuff, too!
