“Magnus, please.”

Alec hoped desperately that he was dreaming. Stuck in one of his nightmares; watching Izzy waste away to yin fen, losing Jace to Valentine. Endlessly searching for Magnus in the Institute, only to find his still body on the ground, cat eyes staring lifelessly back at him. Every time he woke up, breathless and afraid, he would find himself in Magnus’ arms. They would chase the cold away and fill his heart with the warmth it was longing for all his life.

Now, as he was cradling Magnus’ cold body to his chest, he wished desperately for the ability to bring warmth to Magnus’ fading life as well.

It was supposed to be a regular mission. Reports of vanishing downworlders reached the Ops Center just when Magnus and him were getting ready to leave. And of course, Alec wanted to deal with this himself. If he had just listened, for once in his life, then maybe Magnus wouldn’t…

Wouldn’t lie on the ground of this dirty warehouse, magic depleted, slowly bleeding out and… and dying.

Alec pressed his hand harder against the gaping wound in Magnus’ side, soaked with blood. The movement rattled Magnus and he let out a few weak coughs, his eyes fluttering closed. Alec’s heart was gripped with a growing sense of panic.

“No no no, baby, don’t close your eyes. C'mon, c'mon you know how much i love them, please.”

Slowly, Magnus’ golden gaze met Alec’s. It was almost ironic, the way Magnus tried to comfort others even when he was the one hurting. Dying, Alec’s mind supplied. 

“Alexander”, his name left Magnus’ mouth in a tired sigh, “you have to-”

“No! I’m not leaving you. Catarina will be here soon and you’ll be fine.” Alec longed to take Magnus’ face in his hands, kiss him, tell him over and over again that he would never leave him, but his hand was still pressing.. he could feel the tears building in his eyes.

There was fondness in the way Magnus was looking up at Alec, and as he raised his hand to place it on Alec’s neck, another cough forced itself out of his body.“I don’t think there’s enough time.”

Alec’s eyes snapped to Magnus’ wound, the blood coating his waistcoat, surrounding his entire body, and with dread he realised, he’s right.And just like that, Alec could feel his mind clear. A single objective, the mission he never leaves taking over his thoughts. Protect.

“Take my strength.” Reluctantly, he moved his bloody hand to grip the one on his neck, “C'mon, love, take it. Take my life, it’s yours.”

But it was too late. Alec saw Magnus’ eyes close, a smile at the corners of his mouth, murmuring the words they had just given to each other week’s ago.

Just as a scream ripped itself out of Alec’s throat, he heard the portal open behind him.

Thoughts of the loft were always accompanied with feelings of love, home. Magnus’ bed was Alec’s safe haven. Memories of slow kisses, hugs, pure adoration, of safety, invaded his mind as he watched Catarina’s magic engulf Magnus’ body. 

There were tear tracks on his face, he couldn’t quite remember when he stopped crying but Catarina’s assurances seem to have calmed his mind slightly. His hand was still gripping Magnus’, and his heart wouldn’t be satified until he saw those wonderful eyes open again.

Seeing Catarina’s magic vanish, he forced his gaze to leave Magnus’ face, only to see her smiling down at him.

“He lost a lot of blood. But Magnus has always been stubborn. Especially seeing as he used up almost all of his magic fighting those demons.”, she shook her head slightly. “He’ll need a potion once he wakes up.” With a last look in  Alec’s direction, and a kiss to Magnus’ forehead, she left the room, naming ingredients under her breath.

Slowly, Alec brought Magnus’ hand to his face and pressed his mouth against it. “You know, when I say I won’t leave you, I expect the same from you.”

“That’s funny.”

Alec could feel the emotions slam into him as he looked up to see a smile on Magnus’ face, his eyes still closed.

“I say that every time you come back injured.”

Suddenly, he felt the urge to be as close to Magnus as possible, to feel his breath against his own. So without preamble, he let go off Magnus’ hand to mold his body to his, hand on his heart, head buried in his neck. After a moment, he felt slurred words being pressed into his hair.

“Mhm, you’re so warm.”

Alec only gripped him tighter, silent tears once again slipping down his cheeks. Slowly, understanding sank into his heart.

If I lost you, I’d lose myself too.

Mitch + Matt ; someone shrunk me by accident au

Matt thinks it’s fair to say that Mitch is a small guy, but there’s a difference between a little lankiness and literally being the size of Matt’s thumb like that princess story his mom told him and his siblings about as a kid.

He spends the rest of the day carrying Mitch around in his pocket and later his glove, worried that someone will step on or squish or drop the little guy. The problem comes at night though, because he doesn’t want to lose Mitch in his bed, and he doesn’t want to put him somewhere small in case he changes back during the night; he compensates by putting Mitch on the corner of his pillowcase and wakes up suffocating underneath his human-sized weight.

Astronomy is a core class and subject taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Uagadou School of Magic. Astronomy is a branch of magic that studies stars and the movement of planets. It is a subject where the use of practical magic during lessons isn’t necessary.

Yesterday I hit 500 followers?! I know this may not seem like a big number, but this is a huge milestone for me, and I’m extremely thankful and grateful to everyone who has followed me and helped me reach this goal <33
