You know Magui is not it when her cheating on her ex was the most tame thing she is known here (in portugal) for
I literally cannot profess to you enough how much I do not care about one-sided hearsay or tweets that are more than three years old. Nor do I care about her involvement in Lando's life.
#this is a carlando blog not a magui blog bro#I'm not suddenly a magui blog because i acknowledged a current event 😭#ask#magui c

impossible (l.n) - pt.3
part two here
-
Max leaned against the doorframe of (Y/N)’s hotel room, arms crossed and a knowing smirk playing on his lips. “Come on, you can’t say no to a Lando Norris celebration party. He won, you have to be there.”
(Y/N) sighed, flopping onto the bed. “Max, I’m tired. And these Miami clubs are insane. I don’t know if I have the energy for all that.”
Max rolled his eyes. “Oh, please. You’ll regret not going when you hear all the stories tomorrow. Besides, you never go out anymore. Just one night, and I promise I’ll make sure you don’t do anything stupid.”
(Y/N) shot him a look. “Oh, so now you’re my babysitter?”
Max grinned. “Only when you need one.”
(Y/N) hesitated, but the excitement in Max’s expression was infectious. She knew he wouldn’t stop pushing until she agreed. Plus, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to celebrate with everyone.
“Fine,” (Y/N) said, sitting up with a small sigh. “But if I regret this tomorrow, I’m blaming you.”
Max clapped his hands together, victorious. “Deal. Now, get ready—we’re leaving in twenty.”
-
The club was alive with music pulsing through the walls, bodies moving in sync with the heavy bass. Lando’s victory party was everything Max had promised—loud, chaotic, and full of energy. Lando and Magui were at the center of it all, completely wrapped up in each other, while (Y/N) stuck with Max, his girlfriend, and a few of their friends.
The drinks flowed freely, and soon, (Y/N) felt the pleasant warmth of alcohol in her system. She was tipsy, but not completely drunk—just enough to let loose and have fun without losing control.
At some point, she excused herself to go to the bathroom. The club was packed, and it took her a while to maneuver through the crowd. On her way back, she glanced around, searching for her group—only to stop dead in her tracks.
In a dimly lit corner of the club, away from most of the party, Magui was pressed against one of Lando’s friends, their faces dangerously close. Before (Y/N) could even process what was happening, she saw it—the kiss. It wasn’t a mistake, wasn’t a misunderstanding. Magui was kissing someone who definitely wasn’t Lando.
A wave of panic crashed over (Y/N). What the hell was she supposed to do? Her heart pounded in her chest as she turned on her heel, pushing through the crowd until she found Max and his girlfriend.
“Max!” (Y/N) grabbed his arm, breathless. “I—I just saw Magui. She was kissing one of Lando’s friends.”
Max’s expression darkened instantly, but before he could say anything, a voice cut through the noise.
“What did you just say?”
(Y/N) turned to find Lando staring at her, confusion and anger flickering across his face. Before she could answer, Magui appeared beside him, her face the picture of innocence.
(Y/N) opened her mouth to speak, but Magui let out a dramatic scoff. “Are you serious right now?” She turned to Lando, shaking her head. “She’s drunk, Lando. And jealous. She always hated me.”
(Y/N)’s stomach twisted. “That’s not true!”
Lando’s expression hardened, and he stepped closer. “Maybe you should go,” he said, his voice cold. “You’re drunk and making shit up.”
(Y/N) felt the sting of betrayal sink deep, but before she could say anything else, Max was already beside her, his grip firm but gentle on her arm. “Come on,” he muttered. “Let’s get out of here.”
Max led (Y/N) through the throngs of people, his grip never loosening as he guided her past the flashing lights and booming music of the club. The air outside hit (Y/N) like a cold wave as they stepped out into the Miami night, the quiet hum of the city contrasting sharply with the chaos they had just left behind. Max didn’t say anything at first, just kept walking with purpose, pulling (Y/N) along beside him.
They made their way to the car park, the sound of their footsteps echoing on the pavement. Max opened the door of the car for (Y/N), giving her a soft, reassuring smile before sliding into the driver’s seat. He started the engine, the low growl of the car a steady comfort in the otherwise still night.
(Y/N) slumped into the passenger seat, her mind still spinning from what she had witnessed. The image of Magui and Lando’s friend—the kiss, the betrayal—it all played over and over in her mind, making her stomach churn. She stared out the window, watching the blur of neon lights pass by as Max pulled out of the parking lot.
The drive was quiet at first. Neither of them spoke, the weight of the situation hanging heavy between them. Max kept his eyes on the road, his knuckles white as he gripped the steering wheel. (Y/N) could feel the tension radiating from him, but he didn’t say anything, clearly giving her space to process. Still, his presence beside her was grounding in a way nothing else could be.
As the city passed by in a blur of lights, (Y/N) let out a shaky breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts. It was hard to ignore the hurt, the confusion, the sense of betrayal that gnawed at her. She hadn’t even known how to process everything, but the silence in the car wasn’t helping. She needed to say something.
“I can’t believe it,” (Y/N) finally muttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Max glanced at her briefly, his expression tight but softening when he saw the pain in her eyes. “I know,” he said quietly. “It sucks.”
“I thought… I thought he would believe me. We have been through so much stuff together. We’ve known each other since ever…” The words tasted bitter in (Y/N)’s mouth, and she clenched her fists, trying to fight back the tears threatening to spill. “And he just believed her.” Her voice cracked on the last word.
Max’s jaw clenched, but he didn’t respond immediately. He just kept driving, the car cutting through the city streets. After a few moments, he spoke again, his tone gentle but firm. “Lando’s reaction? That wasn’t you. That’s on him. You told him the truth. He didn’t listen. That’s his problem, not yours.”
(Y/N) didn’t know how to respond to that. The words helped, but the sting of Lando’s coldness still lingered. She had expected more from him, from her friend. The thought of it made her heart ache all over again.
The city skyline slowly gave way to quieter streets as Max guided the car toward the hotel. (Y/N) didn’t even notice the time passing, the only sound now the gentle hum of the car and the occasional swish of tires on wet pavement.
When they pulled into the hotel’s parking garage, Max parked the car in the spot closest to the entrance. He turned off the engine but didn’t move to get out right away. Instead, he took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Max asked quietly, looking over at (Y/N).
(Y/N) thought about it for a moment. She didn’t know if she could put everything into words yet, but she appreciated that Max was giving her the option. Maybe it wasn’t about talking right now—it was just about not being alone.
“I don’t know what to say,” (Y/N) admitted, feeling exhaustion seeping into her bones. “I just feel… lost. I thought I knew where I stood with everything, but now I’m not so sure.”
Max nodded, his face softening with understanding. “Yeah. It’s messy. And I’m sorry you have to go through this. But whatever happens next, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here. Always.”
(Y/N) swallowed hard, the lump in her throat threatening to choke her up. Max’s words, his loyalty—it was more than she could have asked for in that moment. She nodded, finally letting out a shaky breath.
“Thanks,” she said, her voice barely a whisper.
Max gave her a small, comforting smile. “You don’t have to thank me, (Y/N). That’s what friends are for.”
The silence that followed wasn’t uncomfortable—it was just two people sitting in the aftermath of something painful, something uncertain. Max reached over, gently squeezing (Y/N)’s shoulder before getting out of the car.
They both walked into the hotel together, the cool air of the lobby greeting them. As they waited for the elevator, (Y/N) felt the weight of the night slowly starting to lift, if only a little. The betrayal still stung, the confusion still clouded her thoughts, but with Max there beside her, it didn’t feel as impossible to face.
When the elevator doors opened, they stepped inside, and Max pressed the button for their floor. As the elevator ascended, (Y/N) couldn’t help but feel that no matter how this played out with Lando and Magui, at least she had someone she could count on—someone who wouldn’t walk away when things got messy.
The elevator chimed softly as it reached their floor, and Max stepped out first, holding the door for her. The quiet of the hallway contrasted sharply with the noise and chaos they’d just left behind at the club. Max led the way to her hotel room, his stride purposeful, but she noticed the tightness in his shoulders—the same tension that had been there since they’d left the club.
She pulled her key card from her bag and slid it into the door, the click of the lock breaking the silence. As the door swung open, Max followed her inside, and she immediately felt the weight of the night press down on her again. The room felt far too still, far too quiet for her mind to settle.
Max closed the door behind him and leaned against it, his eyes scanning her face as she dropped her bag onto the bed. “Do you want to talk about it now?” he asked, his voice gentle but laced with concern. “Or should we just… sit for a minute?”
She took a deep breath, shaking her head. “I don’t know what to say, Max. I thought—” She faltered, trying to make sense of the mess of emotions swirling inside her. “I thought everything was fine. I trusted her. I trusted Lando.” Her voice wavered at the end, the sting of betrayal creeping back into her chest.
Max pushed off the door and walked over to the small couch by the window. He sat down, patting the spot next to him. “Come sit with me for a second,” he suggested, his tone more like that of a friend offering comfort than a solution.
She hesitated, but the warmth of his presence was hard to resist. She crossed the room and lowered herself onto the couch, her legs folded beneath her as she settled next to him. For a moment, they sat in silence, the soft hum of the city below filtering through the closed window.
“Why didn’t Lando believe me?” she whispered, her hands clenched tightly in her lap. “I mean, he knows me. I’ve never lied to him. I would never make something like that up.”
Max’s expression softened, and he leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees as he met her gaze. “Sometimes people see what they want to see, (Y/N). And sometimes they don’t want to face the truth, even if it’s right in front of them.”
She nodded, but it didn’t make the hurt any easier to bear. “I don’t know what to do now,” she said, her voice quieter now, almost as if she were talking to herself. “Do I tell him again? Do I just walk away?”
Max sighed deeply, running a hand through his hair. “You’re not responsible for Lando’s actions, and you can’t force him to see the truth. But you deserve to be heard. If you want to talk to him again, you should. If you need to walk away, you have every right to do that too.”
The simplicity of his words almost felt like a relief. She wasn’t sure what her next move should be, but knowing she had the choice made her feel like she could breathe for a second.
Max leaned back against the armrest and looked out the window, the city lights below casting a soft glow in the room. “You know, you didn’t deserve what happened tonight. Neither of you did.”
She smiled faintly, but the smile didn’t quite reach her eyes. “I know. But it doesn’t make the feeling go away. It doesn’t change the fact that Magui was kissing another guy… or that Lando didn’t even give me a chance to explain.”
“I get it,” Max said, his voice steady. “And I’m sorry you’re dealing with this right now. But I just want you to remember that none of this is on you. No matter how badly Lando or anyone else reacts, you did the right thing by being honest.”
The honesty of his words hit her in a way that made her chest tighten. She’d always appreciated how Max could cut through the bullshit and speak directly to what mattered. In that moment, she felt his unwavering support like a lifeline, something to hold onto in the storm.
“Thanks, Max,” she said, her voice small but sincere. “I don’t know what I would’ve done if you weren’t here tonight.”
He gave her a reassuring smile. “You’d survive,” he teased gently. “But it’s a lot easier when you’ve got someone in your corner.”
She chuckled softly at his words, but the laughter felt hollow. Still, she appreciated the effort. Max always knew how to make things feel a little less heavy.
A moment of quiet settled between them, the only sound in the room the distant hum of the city. She let herself lean back, trying to let the tension ease from her shoulders. After a few moments, Max stood up, stretching his arms above his head.
“You need anything? Want me to get you some water or something?” he asked, his tone casual, though she could tell he was still concerned.
She shook her head, though she didn’t feel quite ready to sleep just yet. “I think I just need to be alone for a while. I don’t know… clear my head. You should probably go back to Pietra, she’s probably worried.”
Max nodded, understanding. “I’ll be around, okay? You’re not alone in this.”
As he left her room, he paused at the door and gave her one last glance. “I mean it, (Y/N). You’re not alone.”
With a small, grateful smile, she nodded. “Thanks, Max. Seriously.”
The door clicked softly behind him, and she was left alone in the quiet of the hotel room. But for the first time that night, she didn’t feel completely alone. Max’s words echoed in her mind, a reminder that, no matter how bad things got, she had people who cared about her.
Taking a deep breath, she sank back into the pillows, trying to calm her racing thoughts. Tomorrow would bring its own challenges, but tonight, for just a little while, she could rest. She didn’t know what the future held with Lando or Magui, but she had Max—and that meant more than she could put into words.
For now, that was enough.
-
The following morning, after a restless night of tossing and turning, she woke up with a strange sense of resolve. The pain from last night’s betrayal was still fresh, but a part of her knew she couldn’t just let things fester. She needed to talk to Lando. She needed to defend herself, to make sure he understood that everything she had said about Magui was the truth.
Max had been insistent that she shouldn’t feel guilty for telling him the truth, but deep down, she couldn’t shake the feeling that she needed to fix this, somehow. She owed it to herself and to their friendship. She owed it to Lando.
After a quick shower and a cup of coffee, she grabbed her phone and sent a message to Lando. “Can we talk? I’ll be in your hotel room in 10 minutes.”
It took only a few moments for him to reply. “Okay.”
Her heart was pounding in her chest, and her hands were shaking as she made her way out of her hotel room. Each step felt heavier than the last. But she pushed it aside. She couldn’t keep running from this. She had to face it.
When she arrived at Lando’s hotel room, she took a deep breath before knocking. There was a long silence before she heard his footsteps approaching the door. It swung open, and he stood there, looking slightly disheveled, his eyes narrowing when he saw her.
“What are you doing here?” Lando asked, his voice still tinged with anger from the previous night.
“I need to talk to you,” she said, keeping her tone steady despite the nerves twisting in her stomach. “About last night.”
Lando looked at her for a beat before stepping back, allowing her inside. She entered the room cautiously, her eyes darting around, avoiding his gaze. She could feel the tension crackling between them already.
“I don’t know what you want me to say, (Y/N).” His voice was colder than she remembered, and it made her chest tighten. “You showed up last night and started making accusations, then ran off. I don’t know what kind of game you’re playing, but I’m not in the mood.”
Her heart raced, and her mouth went dry. “I’m not playing games, Lando. I’m telling you the truth. I saw Magui kiss one of your friends. And I was not drunk, I wasn’t making it up. It’s what I saw. And I swear to you, I wasn’t trying to hurt you.”
Lando’s face hardened, and he crossed his arms over his chest, a defensive gesture. “I don’t know why you’re suddenly so hell-bent on ruining things for me, but you’re wrong. Magui’s not like that. You don’t know her like I do.”
“Really? So, you think I’m lying about what I saw? You’re honestly going to stand here and act like I didn’t just see what I saw? You’re going to choose to believe her over me?”
Lando flinched at her words, his eyes flashing with something like pain. “You don’t get it, do you?” he snapped, his voice rising. “I know Magui. We’ve been through shit together. She’s not like that, okay? She’s not some cheater. Why would I believe you over her?”
The words hit her harder than she expected. The pain of his dismissal stung more than she cared to admit, but she wouldn’t let him dismiss her like this.
“I don’t know why you’re so willing to believe her, but I can’t keep being your backup option just because you refuse to see the truth.” Her voice shook now, her anger boiling over. “I came to you last night because I thought I was your friend. But you didn’t even give me the chance to explain. You just believed her and shut me out. And now you’re acting like I’m the one who’s wrong? I did everything I could to help you, Lando.”
She was practically yelling now, the frustration and hurt spilling out of her. Lando’s expression twisted into something unreadable, and his jaw clenched as he stepped closer to her, his posture tense.
“I don’t need you coming here and pretending to be some kind of saint, trying to tell me what’s going on in my relationship,” he said harshly. “You think this is easy for me? You think I don’t feel betrayed too?”
She stared at him, disbelief and anger flashing across her face. “I’m not pretending to be a saint. I’m just telling you what I saw, and you’re so caught up in defending her that you can’t see what’s right in front of you.”
Lando’s hands clenched into fists, his face reddening with frustration. “You don’t get it. Out of all people, I never thought you would be able to do something like this. Like you’re the one who knows what’s best for me?”
She could feel the heat between them, the tension sparking in the air. She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself, but her heart was still pounding, adrenaline rushing through her veins.
“No, Lando, that’s not what I’m saying,” she snapped, tears beginning to sting her eyes despite the fury she felt. “But I care about you. I care about your happiness. And if you can’t see the truth when it’s right in front of you, then maybe I shouldn’t care anymore. Maybe I’m better off staying the hell out of it.”
Lando’s eyes widened, the anger in his expression giving way to something more complicated—hurt, confusion, and maybe even a hint of regret. But before he could speak, she turned on her heel, her heart pounding in her chest. She wasn’t going to stick around for more of this. She had already said everything she needed to.
“Don’t come to me when you realize you’ve lost everything because you couldn’t trust your own friends,” she said quietly, her voice breaking.
With that, she stormed out of the room, her footsteps echoing down the hallway as she made her way back to the elevator. She could still feel the weight of his gaze on her back, but she didn’t look back. She didn’t need to.
She had said what she needed to say. If Lando wasn’t going to listen, then that was on him.
-
Max knocked on Lando’s hotel room door a few minutes later, his knuckles rapping sharply against the wood. He could already feel the tension simmering, knowing that things between Lando and (Y/N) had gone off the rails. The argument had escalated quickly, and now it was time for someone to step in and hopefully help cool things down.
Lando opened the door almost immediately, his face taut with frustration, and his eyes dark with the lingering anger from earlier.
Max gave him a small, cautious nod. “Hey, man. Got a minute?”
Lando didn’t say anything at first, just stepped aside and waved him in. Max could tell he wasn’t exactly thrilled to see him, but the frustration on Lando’s face told him that he was at least willing to listen, or at least to vent. Max didn’t waste any time once he was inside the room, closing the door behind him and folding his arms across his chest.
“You two had it out pretty good, huh?” Max said, his tone casual but laced with concern.
Lando sighed heavily and sank down onto the edge of the bed, rubbing his hand over his face. “I don’t know, man. Everything’s messed up. (Y/N) shows up at the party, gets all worked up about Magui, starts accusing her of something… and I don’t know what to think.”
Max leaned against the desk, his eyes narrowing slightly. “Lando, (Y/N) didn’t just show up out of nowhere. She was your friend before anything else, right? She saw something that didn’t sit right with her, and she came to you.”
Lando shook his head. “Yeah, but she doesn’t know Magui the way I do. She’s not in my relationship. I’ve been with Magui for a while now. I trust her. And now (Y/N) comes in, drunk and saying she saw something that didn’t happen? It feels like she’s trying to tear things apart.”
Max let out a breath and pushed off from the desk, stepping toward Lando, his expression softening. “Look, I get it. I know you care about Magui, and you want to protect her. But that doesn’t mean you should completely disregard what (Y/N) saw. She’s not some stranger, Lando. She’s your friend.”
“I’m not saying I’m disregarding her, but she’s making these accusations without knowing anything about what’s really going on,” Lando retorted, frustration creeping into his voice again. “She’s trying to act like she knows better than me, like I don’t know what’s going on with my own relationship.”
Max stayed silent for a moment, allowing Lando to vent, his hands in his pockets. He could tell Lando was struggling with a lot of emotions right now—anger, confusion, maybe even guilt. But Max wasn’t about to let him stay in that place.
“You know, Lando, I think you’re pissed because deep down, you’re afraid that she might be right,” Max said quietly, his eyes meeting Lando’s.
Lando froze, his breath catching slightly. He opened his mouth to protest but then closed it, clearly processing what Max had said.
“I—no,” Lando started, shaking his head, but Max held up a hand to stop him.
“Look, I know you don’t want to believe it,” Max continued. “But (Y/N) isn’t some malicious person. She’s been through enough to know the difference between looking out for someone and just throwing around accusations. She’s your friend, man. She wouldn’t have come to you like that if she didn’t care. She did the right thing by saying something.”
Lando’s eyes dropped to the floor, his jaw clenching as he processed Max’s words. He ran a hand through his messy hair, his face drawn. “It’s just… hard to believe. I want to believe Magui. I do. But (Y/N)… she’s not just making this up.”
Max walked over and sat down on the bed next to Lando, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. “I know, Lando. I get it. But you’ve got to stop thinking that just because you want something to be true, that makes it true. If you keep brushing this off, it’s only going to hurt you in the end.”
Lando’s head snapped up, his gaze flickering with emotion—anger, hurt, and maybe even fear. “What am I supposed to do, then? (Y/N) thinks I’m stupid for not seeing it. She blames me for not doing something about it.”
Max’s eyes softened, his voice dropping to a gentler tone. “You don’t have to blame yourself, Lando. But you do have to face the truth. If (Y/N) was right, you’re going to have to make some tough choices. But running away from it isn’t going to help you. It’ll only make things worse.”
Lando exhaled sharply, his frustration giving way to exhaustion. “I’m not sure I’m ready to face that yet.”
Max gave a short, understanding nod. “I know, man. But if you keep shutting people out, you’re going to lose the ones who care about you. I know it’s hard, but you need to talk to (Y/N). You need to listen to her. Whether it’s Magui or whatever, you can’t just dismiss your friends because of your own fears.”
Lando looked down at his hands, his fingers twitching as if he didn’t know what to do with them. He looked like he was struggling to process everything Max had said, torn between his loyalty to Magui and his friendship with (Y/N).
“I just don’t know how to fix this,” Lando muttered. “I don’t know what’s real anymore.”
Max’s voice was firm but compassionate. “You start by being honest with yourself. And then, you talk to (Y/N). You don’t let this fester. You owe her an explanation, and you owe yourself one, too. Because if you don’t figure this out, it’s only going to get worse.”
Lando stared ahead for a long moment, silence thick in the room as he processed everything Max had said. He finally nodded, a weary expression crossing his face. “I’ll talk to her. I don’t know what I’ll say, but I’ll try.”
Max clapped him on the back, standing up as he gave him one last look of support. “You’ve got to do it, Lando. And don’t let pride or guilt stop you from doing what’s right.”
With that, Max gave him a final nod and walked toward the door. Lando sat on the bed, staring into space as the weight of Max’s words settled on him. It wasn’t going to be easy, but Max was right—he needed to face the truth, no matter how difficult it might be.
As Max left the room, he knew the ball was in Lando’s court now. It was up to him to decide whether he was going to fight for the truth or let his fear and pride keep him from seeing it.

Lie To Girls.

pairing: lando norris x reader
genre: angst
wc: i didn’t count ☹️
warnings: none?
y/n didn’t know who’s hand grabbed who’s first, but now their fingers were intertwined. her free hand came up to rest on the back of lando’s neck, playing with the curls that rested there also.
their bodies were practically pressed together, chests rising and falling against each other. their eyes motioned the same way, flickering from each others eyes to their lips.
y/n waited for lando to make the move. this didn’t feel real, as if it was a fever dream. inches of separation were between them.
that’s when she noticed the hesitation in lando’s face. her heart sunk as she realised the situation she was in. she took a step back, taking her hand away from lando’s. her hand now felt empty, cold.
she turned around, walking in the direction of her hotel to hide and never come out again. she thought that lando would run up to her, stop her from walking away, but no.
y/n stood on the balcony of her suite, watching as the sun rose over the city of monaco. it was qualifying day, and there was still no message or call from lando.
maybe it was all a hoax. maybe he really didn’t want what they had before. after signing her mclaren cap with his number, after messaging into the late hours of the night until they both fell asleep unwillingly, after he flew her out to this damn city just for her to watch the grand prix, none of it meant anything anymore.
she took the morning to walk around the city, taking the path by the ocean where the yachts laid untouched and bobbing from the small waves in the water.
she watched the couples on their morning walks and runs, the animals who had coupled up over the winter and stuck together through the spring, how that could’ve been her and lando.
she attempted to rid the memory of seeing someone post lando in a club an hour after he had hesitated to kiss her. how he was dancing with other girls and drinking with his mates.
it broke her heart to think that maybe it wasn’t him, but her. maybe she wasn’t pretty enough, not smart enough, not good enough for him like luisa or magui.
then came the second stage of grief. her face scrunched up in disgust at lando’s actions to lead her on. she’s stupid, but she’s clever.
she had been here before many a-times. lando wasn’t the first to make her cry herself to sleep over a fuck up on the man’s behalf.
boys. they’re not men if they can’t commit to even kissing you, they’re boys.
she’s had no problem with making a shit show look a whole lot like forever; with lando, though, she couldn’t urge him on. she couldn’t keep him in her cage and tame him. he was famous, he could have any girl he wanted and it seemed that that’s exactly where his mind was last night. maybe even this morning, too.
she wanted to scream at him, break him down and make him feel exactly how she felt. she wanted to scream how,
‘you don’t have to lie to girls’.
because, in the end, if they like you, they’ll just lie to themselves. that’s exactly what y/n did. she lied to herself. lando had let her lie to herself.
in a white bikini with sun kissed skin, y/n dangled her legs over the edge of the yacht. her feet dipped in the cool water. the seagulls and sea birds called out to each other overhead, the waves crashing against the side of the boat.
she didn’t have to look up from the water to know exactly who had sat themselves down next to her. she was torn between bargaining and depression. she didn’t want to talk to him, didn’t even want to be seen near him.
“i didn’t mean to hurt you,”
y/n scoffed, watching the fish swim under her feet.
“don’t i know it better than anyone else?” her words came out more as a statement than a question.
lando leaned down to her shoulder, placing a soft kiss on her shoulder. if it was anyone else, y/n would’ve pulled away, maybe even pushed him in the water, but something kept her in place.
lando tilted her chin to make her look at him. she couldn’t resist noting how green the sun made his eyes look. lando felt the same about the colour of her eyes.
he leaned down, joining his lips to hers. the kiss wasn’t like any other. it held guilt, love, an apology. the apology that y/n deserved.
everyone else on the yatch disappeared at that moment. normally she wouldn’t give in this easy to a man who had broken her heart the night before, but she knew lando. she knew that he wouldn’t mean to hurt anyone, especially not her.
once their lips detached from each other, nova placed her hand on lando’s shoulder. it was a sweet gesture until she pushed him into the water with all her strength.
she watched as lando rose back to the top of the water, running a hand over his face as he shook the water out of his hair like a border collie would.
“i deserved that, didn’t i?” lando breathed, looking up at y/n who hovered above him on the boat. what he didn’t miss was how she smiled down at him before joining him in the water.

now, idk who’s up-to-date with the whole lando/magui c thing, but apparently it’s the second time (from what i know) they get caught red handed together (like not a blurry picture, but a almost 4K one) and the picture need to be taken down per request of the person who took them (not a paparazzi but a random someone who run across them in the streets, takes the pic, sends it to gossip pages or something similar and then asks to remove the pic) all while magui posts hints of being with him (even when she isn't, see the brazilian gp this year)… like the heck??!!!?! some pr isn't pr-ing hahahah

deuxmoi is full of shit like they really believe that taylor is in a secret gay relationship, they get a lot of fanfic passed as gossip. I would say tho that charles definitely cheated on charlotte or rather he was double playing with Alexandra, I remember in November he was seens with Alexandra when he was still with Charlotte, like Charlotte posted them on IG and days before there were photos of Alexandra in Charles Ferrari, he was liking Alexandra photos when still with Charlotte. how to get them you lose them and alexandra shouldn't be surprised if this happens, my unpopular opinion is that the next girl won't be a girl from Monaca/ same group friend but rather someone more established maybe an c level European prime video/Netflix actress. it feels like Charles started dating Alexandra with a pr team manufacturing their whole relationship, like I do think they love/like each other and wants to be together but also they want to sell their imagen, is giving youtube influencers couple
Yeah I feel like he’s always been known to scout the next girl and at least put feelers out before he breaks up with the last one. But I’m not sure I’d count that as a “how you get them is how you lose them” because I do think he’s always planning on the break up regardless of the other girl. I think he just can’t be single.
I’d be surprised if Charles got with a Magui type but you never know. I don’t see him with someone who has much to do besides be with him, and I think that while he’s young I think he likes to date someone he can potentially see a future with and that that’s a girl from his subculture that’s going to fit in with his family. But I could be wrong

100 CANDLES - Review
DISTRIBUTOR: Devilworks

SYNOPSIS: 100 CANDLES centers around four friends playing a game, in an old house, that requires them to tell one another horror tales by candlelight and then go off to this room and stand in front of a magical mirror and blow out their candle. Supposedly, one story for every candle. They cannot leave the game until all the candles are out; otherwise they will fall victim to a witch’s curse.
REVIEW: The good news is that there are not 100 stories, as you may have surmised. There are six tales, and the wrap around story. While the six tales each have their own list of credits it is interesting to note that they all feel as if they were produced by the same filmmaking team. They all have a similar level of production design, cinematography, and effects that sets this film at a level of a production that looks like an independent film budget as opposed to a home grown horror film.
I thought the six stories were interesting and well acted. Some had a well developed narrative while a few were just about the “gotcha” moment and the special or visual effects. I thought that “Blight” was the most ambitious of the tales and very well made. It features a solid cast, some impressive visuals. And, as a period piece, nice costumes and location. It was a bit curious that the story “Buried Alive” was in Spanish. All the other tales were in English, and even the storyteller spoke English, and no explanation as to why it was in Spanish. It was well done but didn’t offer anything in the way of surprises. “When Demons Die” was interesting in that it really isn’t a genre tale. It was a good story with nice production values and a good cast, but would have been more effective if the director could have told the story more from the child’s point of view.
The “100 Candles Game” is the weakest link. Because the characters have to go into another room, alone, where the mirror is after telling their story you expect something “scary” will transpire there. Also the mannequins covered with sheets does nothing to offer any suspense, surprise, or a red-herring in terms of what is going on. The acting is good, the production values above average, but simply serves as an excuse to unite these six other short films.
100 CANDLES is an interesting anthology film whose six tales are worth your consideration. The warp around story can simply be discarded by fast-forwarding if you choose to view on demand or DVD, which I would recommend watching that way as opposed to in a theater. The six short films are well worth the watch, and might look good on a big screen, but taken as a whole I don’t think it has the gravitas to warrant a theatrical viewing.

❍❍❍ Definition and Definition of Film / Movie ❍❍❍
While the players who play a role in the film are referred to as actors (men) or actresses (women). There is also the term extras that are used as supporting characters with few roles in the film. This is different from the main actors who have bigger and more roles. Being an actor and an actress must be demanded to have good acting talent, which is in accordance with the theme of the film he is starring in. In certain scenes, the actor’s role can be replaced by a stuntman or a stuntman. The existence of a stuntman is important to replace the actors doing scenes that are difficult and extreme, which are usually found in action action films.

LANDO HAS A GIRLFRIEND??????
lmaooo I mean *nothing* has been confirmed and likely won't be considering how batshit insane social media is. Nor are we even entitled to a formal confirmation.
(but i will put the explanation below a read more for people who don't want to engage)
I'm not sure how aware you are of his friend group, but one of the girls in it, Magui, has been around a considerable amount since the Spring time (though she dates back to May 2023). You might like to say she posts hinty things sometimes, but for the most part since this year started, hasn't posted him and seems to respect the boundary that's to not post when she's in his immediate presence. For instance, she was in Abu Dhabi with his other friends and family, posted the first night, and then never again.
I've been in and out of the Together Pond since August because they'll do something that to me has little platonic explanation and then immediately do another thing that's like "that's not relationship behavior."
Anyway, Lando posted those ski photos a little while ago with the pink beanie and goggles, and then around a half hour later, she posts a story from last night in a hotel room bed in London watching Mamma Mia where the hat and goggles are plainly visible. So very much calculated in my humble opinion.
And I just know if this is indeed what it is, they're both sitting there laughing their asses off because they do both understand how social media works very well. At the end of the day and at the very least, she's someone he likes to spend time with, and him being surrounded by people he likes makes my heart full.
But also... I need her to post the boyfriend-ism because I know she's got the goods in her camera roll.
#lmao how do i tag this? i guess...#gossip#and to make sure it catches people's filters who don't even want the knowledge of a read more:#ask#magui c

okay i'm going to be honest: i had kind of ignored all the drama about this weed person because i genuinely thought she was just another gossip account talking about the same old stuff that all those other gossip accounts talk about, and i thought people were just picking on her specifically because she shows her face so we can see that she's weird and cringy when most of the others stay anonymous. i've never been one to get on my high horse about gossip blogs because i mostly feel that if you want to be famous and enjoy all the good stuff that comes with it, then rumours about you are part of the territory, and also people like wags and influencers literally thrive on this stuff because it grows their following, even if the stuff being said about them is negative. i think magui for example is only getting a higher profile from all these people talking about her and so i can't imagine she's bothered one bit.
but i'm just now realising that this girl actually thinks her "exposing" videos are going to make a difference in the lives of these people she doesn't even know, and is actively encouraging people to share them as much as possible in the hopes of it reaching max or his family, and this is now just a level of unhinged creepiness that i think goes far further than any other "gossip" account
Oh no, she’s actually C R A Z Y.
Yeah I do think to a certain extent rumours are part of the deal, but I’ll always think that the hate these women get is unhinged, and not even for them, but more from a standpoint of what it says about society that people feel ok saying that stuff about strangers. But anyway.
Weed is another level of unwell. Someone sent her weird video to Max’s sister (and got blocked). She quite seriously thinks she’s going to end a real life relationship over her creepy little theories. Shes on another level

Best Movies Coming to Netflix in August 2021
https://ift.tt/3yg0gQx
As quickly as the summer movie season of 2021 seemed to come upon us, it’s already about to begin its long, languid slide through the dog days of August into fall. That’s not to say that theaters won’t still have plenty of interesting fare to encounter, with films like The Suicide Squad, Free Guy, Respect, Candyman and The Night House all on deck. Hopefully the other hideous sequel happening at the moment — Pandemic 2: The Delta Variant — won’t set any of these potential hits back.
In the spirit of keeping August entertaining, Netflix is rolling out a slew of new streaming additions as well, including an underrated Spielberg gem, fantastic teen comedies both old and new, a couple of stoner classics and perhaps the finest film from the canon of one of the modern era’s most revered directors. We’ve rounded up our recommendations below, and hope you stay cool and healthy whatever you’re watching!
Universal
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Beethoven (1992)
August 1
Hollywood in the 1990s was a glorious and furry era when studio executives never met a family movie that couldn’t be improved with the addition of at least one animal character. Beethoven is one of the most successful examples of this winning formula. Directed by Brian Levant from a script co-written by John Hughes himself (alongside Mystic Pizza co-writer Amy Holden Jones), Beethoven is basically the story of how a husband and father, Charles Grodin’s George Newton, feels threatened by the attention his family gives their new dog, a St. Bernard named Beethoven.
George eventually works through some of his issues and accepts the charming Beethoven into the family, a process that comes to a head when Beethoven is dog-napped into an animal experiment scheme run by evil veterinarian Dr. Herman Varnick. (Honestly, the plot isn’t dissimilar to the story in cinematic masterpiece Paddington.) The deep supporting cast includes Bonnie Hunt, David Duchovny, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Oliver Platt, Stanley Tucci, and Everybody Loves Raymond‘s Patricia Heaton. The film’s sequel, Beethoven Second, will also be available on Netflix starting on August 1st.
Dreamworks
Catch Me If You Can (2002)
August 1
As one of Steven Spielberg’s most charming and laid-back efforts, Catch Me If You Can is a breezy and star-studded entertainment. The story is loosely based on the real grifts of conman Frank Abagnale Jr., who beginning as a teenager was able to pass himself off as a pilot, lawyer, doctor, and many other things. But really, this is a cat-and-mouse chase movie between a still baby-faced Leonardo DiCaprio as Abagnale and Tom Hanks as the FBI stiff who hunted him down. It’s all good stuff, with the movie enjoying a light touch and fresh take on Spielberg’s favorite subject matter: fathers and sons.
Warner Bros. Pictures
Deep Blue Sea (1999)
August 1
A shockingly entertaining B-movie about a bunch of genetically engineered super-sharks which break out and take over a testing facility, this is horror silliness at its best with great turns from Samuel L Jackson, Thomas Jane, Saffron Burrows and LL Cool J. Partially shot on sets built around the same water tanks used for Titanic, with animatronic and CGI sharks, Deep Blue Sea is action-packed, schlocky fun from director Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger).
STX Entertainment
The Edge of Seventeen (2016)
August 1
A bit like Lady Bird before there was a Lady Bird, Kelly Fremon Craig’s Edge of Seventeen is an underrated gem that stars a teenage Hailee Steinfeld as a young woman stumbling through an especially awkward time in her life. Steinfeld is terrific in her best performance since True Grit, playing Nadine as a bundle of insecurities, yet still nobody’s victim. Also of special value is Craig’s hilarious and authentic script, which captures the specificity of growing up in the social media age while being near-universal in its accessibility and empathy for a wide ensemble which also includes Kyra Sedgwick, Haley Lu Richardson, and Woody Harrelson.
Paramount
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)
August 1
Just in time for the dog days of summer comes one of the best summer movies ever. Relying on charm and sharp characterization instead of special effects for its spectacle, John Hughes’ Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a truly great teen comedy that follows the easygoing bon vivant (or secret sociopath?) of a high school’s senior class when he decides to take the day off in the best fashion: by faking he’s sick and then guilting his BFF into giving him the keys to his dad’s Ferrari.

Never Have I Ever Season 2 Review: This Netflix Teen Comedy Deserves to Run and Run
By Louisa Mellor
It’s silly yet curiously honest stuff about the pressures of young adult life, at least in 1980s suburban America, and a beguiling showcase for an ensemble that includes Matthew Broderick in his coolest role, as well as Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, Jennifer Grey, and a seriously stoned Charlie Sheen. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re due.
Warner Bros. Pictures
Inception (2010)
August 1 Still Christopher Nolan’s most complete and satisfying film to date (yes, even more so than The Dark Knight), Inception is a cerebral sci-fi set of stacking dolls combined with a rollicking James Bond adventure that all happens to be mostly situated inside one guy’s head. Leonardo DiCaprio leads a team of professional thieves who steal things from people’s minds — only this time they’re hired to implant an idea, even if they have to dive deep into the mark’s subconscious to do it.
Mind-bending imagery and several jaw-dropping action sequences are wrapped around a surprisingly emotional core, with only the usual unwieldy exposition there to remind you that there are some things Nolan may never get right.
Lionsgate
The Lincoln Lawyer (2011)
August 1 Based on a novel by crime writer Michael Connelly, this gripping, suspenseful 2011 drama arguably kicked off “the McConaissance,” a shift from rom-coms to more serious roles by Matthew McConaughey that launched a new, largely acclaimed phase of his career.
McConaughey is formidable as attorney Mickey Haller, a slick lawyer who works out of his Lincoln Town Car and undergoes a crisis of conscience as his new case starts to feel disturbingly like an old one. In addition to McConaughey stepping up his game, this Brad Furman-directed thriller is the kind of character-driven, literate melodrama we don’t see much on the big screen anymore — although we see plenty of them these days on, of course, Netflix.
Paramount Classics
The Machinist (2004)
August 1 Director Brad Anderson followed up his cult classic 2001 horror effort Session 9 with this surreal, Kafka-esque psychological thriller. Christian Bale plays Trevor Reznik, whose inability to sleep leads him to cause an accident at his industrial job that costs a co-worker (Michael Ironside) his arm. Already physically and mentally deteriorating, Reznik begins an even deeper descent as he tries to unravel what’s happening to him and why. Bale is intense and viscerally shocking as the emaciated Reznik, with his riveting performance anchoring an atmospheric, visually striking film that is sometimes an exercise in style over substance.
New Line Cinema
Magnolia (1999)
August 1
Boogie Nights pushed director Paul Thomas Anderson into the spotlight, but it was his massive, sprawling jigsaw puzzle Magnolia that made him into a superstar filmmaker. Following multiple narratives and numerous characters all finally brought together by a climactic storm of frogs, this is high art packed with standout moments.

Best Modern Horror Movies
By Don Kaye
Tom Cruise is electric as a toxic motivation speaker, Julianne Moore is brittle and tragic as a trophy wife who has grown to love her dying husband, while the burgeoning relationship between Melora Walters’ addict and John C. Reilly’s cop added sweetness and hope to a tale of messed up people and damaged families. Epic.
Sony PIctures
Pineapple Express (2008)
August 1 After its trailer introduced everyone to M.I.A.’s amazing “Paper Planes,” Pineapple Express’s work was already done. It didn’t even have to produce a satisfyingly funny movie on top of that. Thankfully the filmmaking team of Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and David Gordon Green decided to give us one anyway, because Pineapple Express is the ideal of the little-seen-or-attempted stoner action comedy.
Rogen stars as process server and marijuana enthusiast Dale Denton, while James Franco portrays his annoying drug dealer Saul Silver. When the pair witness a murder, they are forced to flee hitmen, a pair of corrupt cops, and worst of all, Danny McBride. The Rogen/Goldberg comedy catalog has very few misses and this one is particularly excellent.
Universal Pictures
Seabiscuit (2003)
August 1
No one would ever accuse Gary Ross’ Seabiscuit of being subtle. With its voice-of-god narration by Ken Burns fave David McCoullough, which helpfully spells out the themes of the movie every few scenes, and its achingly sentimental score and dialogue, Seabiscuit is a Cinderella story which all but asserts its titular race horse ended the Great Depression. Yet Ross captures some of the simple American grandeur of Laura Hillenbrand’s non-fiction source material book, as well as the beauty of this true story where a horse that everyone counted out as worthless was nursed by three men into becoming one of the greatest racing animals of all-time.
It’s the type of feel-good yarn that won people over in the 1930s and which is still winning now. When coupled with a handful of strong performances, including from Jeff Bridges, Chris Cooper, Tobey Maguire, and a seriously underrated Elizabeth Banks, you have a crowd-pleaser that actually pleases.
Paramount Pictures
Team America: World Police (2004)
August 1 Roger Ebert’s one-star review of Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s Team America: World Police sums up the film’s nonsensical political stance nicely. “I wasn’t offended by the movie’s content so much as by its nihilism,” the great film critic wrote.
Rog was right to criticize Team America’s incomprehensible worldview. Nearly 20 years later, its seeming position that Alec Baldwin and Kim Jong-Il are equally bad hasn’t aged that well (despite Mr. Baldwin’s best efforts). But it’s hard to argue that the South Park creators’ nihilism doesn’t lead to some great comedy. The novelty of Thunderbirds-style puppets saving the world amid graphic sex acts and voluminous barfing never quite wears off.
