Sivagami's Tale
I have my tests coming up and I'm in no place to write anything, so here's something 14 year old me wrote during her peak Bahubali obsession.
.
.
.
She should've seen this coming. She just should've known. She knew then, that Baahu wouldn't do anything as such. Whatever it was, Baahu would never go to the extent of getting his brother killed. Only if she had trusted her conscience. Her son and husband had pushed her to take further actions. They had led her into a lie, and she had only accepted all of it. The greatest empress, Sivagami the epitome of justice, had just signed a warrant of death, that too of her dear son. This was a total mistake, a grave one at that. She had given up her poise, her stiffness and her grandeur. She was starting to lose herself. Her blood boiled, not due to anger, but for she was afraid as to what would happen to the kingdom of Mahishmathi. If she were given a choice she would undo all of it, but only if it were that simple. She was disgusted by how low she had stooped. It was all in her ego wasn't it? She just wouldn't accept her fault. Ah! And vanity. What a fancy word for her arrogance. And all of this led to what? Her hand with Baahu's blood on them. Yes, the very same Amarendra Bahubali, who let go of the throne and also went into exile pushing away all the luxuries, just for his dharma. In the thick of all the doom and gloom, Sivagami heard the chamber doors creak, and just as she and Kattappa looked up, their hearts wrenched. It was time to break the dreadful news to that person who was most concerned with it. Devasena.
.
.
.
14 year old me was VERY proud of this.

Please can you do a DEVASENA MANDALA!!
Super excited to see how it turns out.
please do zoom in and look at all the details on the mandala in higher resolution, actually put time and lots of love into this, proud of this one
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
thank you so much for the ask! absolutely love my queen devasena and here ya go bestie <3
thank you for giving me this opportunity my love, i obviously did have other plans for this mandala i swear, you know the blue/gold attire from the song, i was going to use one of my very iconic 2017/18 devasena edits as background and inspiration to the colour theme and design motifs for it,
but then @an-adventureland, my beloved gave me a colour palette of orange/pink and i could not stop. i have been at it for 2½ hours continuously lmaoo
i didn't just make a casual usual intricate mandala, i decided to make her an edit too, i did what is the chef's equivalent of tearing the insides of bread to make it into a soup bowl, and used the border strips of the mandala as a backdrop/ halo for devasena, also i finally tried the pop-up desaturate idea like i have always wanted to do for a long time <3
consider this a return gift and me going back to my roots and origins, baahubali and starbharat brought me onto tumblr, my first fandoms <3
my back is already aching lmaoo but i would still always, readily, and willingly die for this fucking queen, i love her so much, devasena supremacy and jai mahishmathi!! <3

prompt : baahubali/marvel crossover or AU (any characters)
Soo many ideas! This was what came to mind when I first read the prompt, though I have two more written up:
“How did you do it?” Baahu asked hesitantly, eyeing the mighty thunder god standing next to him.
Thor’s eyebrows scrunched and he picked at his eyepatch. “Do what, son of Vikrama?”
“How did you get your brother to come back?” Baahu’s tone held a plaintive note that begged for answers. “To you?”
Thor chuckled and patted Baahu’s shoulder reassuringly. “I let him go.”
“So did I.” Baahu confessed with a frown. “But I’m not sure he’ll return.”
“If he loves you enough, he will return.”

Honey, you have to let it go. If I worried what every bitch in Mahishmathi was saying about me, I’d never leave the house.

Questions Answered ~ Know me Better xD!
RULES:
Post the rules Answer the questions given to you by the tagger Write 11 questions of your own And tag 11 people
From the amazing @avani008:
1) If you could know the answer to one unsolved mystery, what would it be and why?
I am an ardent fan of BuzzFeed unsolved, and today I (ironically) revisited their True Crime series, where they were investigating whether O.J. Simpson really killed Nicole and Ron. So, I would love to know the answer to this unsolved mystery! (even though O.J. Simpson was proved innocent; to really know what happened~the truth!!).
2) Favorite myth?
I love Greek Mythology!
3) The main characters of the last two movies/TV shows you watched have switched places. What madness ensues?
The last two movies I watched was Spyder, starring Mahesh Babu, and Darling, starring Prabhas. If Mahesh Babu came into the storyline of Darling, then he would have been able to ears drop on the phone conversations, and the storyline of Darling would be non-existent because a lack of communication and playfulness created the whole confusion in the movie! If Prabhas came into the storyline of Spyder, then he would use his amazing charm, charisma and beautiful fingers to save Hyderabad from the sadistic yet perfect villain!! *sigh
4) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Scotland because it is so insanely beautiful! (Thankyou Adam Joan for showing the beauty of Scotland!). Honestly, anywhere in Europe!
5) Who would be the worst person to be stuck in an elevator with? How about the best person to be stuck in an elevator with?
Worst: My mom. Best: My dad!
6) If you could make a movie/TV series out of any book (or remake one if it exists already), what would it be?
I would love to make a TV series about 2 States: The Story of My Marriage, a book around inter-regional marriage in India, because the Bollywood movie literally sucked! I would cast a brown skinned girl as Ananya, because representation matters!! A TV Series because the cultural difference between a Punjabi and a Tamil family cannot be explained and shown thoroughly in a movie!
7) What would be the title of your autobiography?
Priya enna Annkutty (A boy called Priya), because, my mom always complains that I should be a traditional indian girl, not a wild free spirited rebel! #Proud
8) Favorite poem?
All songs are poems, and my favorite poem is from this song called “Hrudayavum” from the 2006 Malayalam movie, Notebook. The lyrics are so romantic and whenever I hear it, it always remind me of my first crush. #hehe
9) Least favorite cliche/trope in fic or literature?
Villains who are Men. Women can be badass too!!! More women in villain roles!!!
10) If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Power to lose weight instantly!
11) If you could have dinner with any three fictional characters, who would they be and why?
Bahubali, Devasena and Shivudu because who wouldn’t want to have dinner with the most amazing family of the Mahishmathi Kingdom!! (in a perfect world) *cries
My 11 questions!
1. What is your best childhood memory?
2. Most recent movie watched?
3. What do you feel most proud of?
4. If you could only keep 5 possessions, what would it be and why?
5. How do you spend your free time?
6. What are your three favorite movies and why?
7. What is your strongest personal quality?
8. What is your most embarrassing moment?
9. What age do you feel right now and why?
10. What is a skill you would like to learn and why?
11. Which movie are you most awaiting for and why?
I tag @weeguttersnipe @baahuxdeva @kannathil-muthamittal @queenofmahishmati @hedevimaiyya @bleedinknight @captain-ramya-me @aminimuthi @narumugaiye @justahalfling @life-for-the-brave @too-much-intention or anyone else who want to!!

GUYS GUYS has anyone watched Baahubali yet? It just smashed like every Indian box office record in existence and it’s incredible. It’s got amazing music (we’ve been listening to Mahishmathi on repeat) and it’s basically Lord of the Rings meets 300 meets just a little bit of Narnia. And also every single woman in the franchise is a stone-cold bitch like you would not believe. I will never think of the word “statecraft” the same way again. Please join me in this unique hell.

WARNING SPOILER ALERT!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED I went to see Baahubali 2 The Conclusion and my god I loved this movie so much. The first one was good but this surpassed by expectations and stunned me beyond words. I loved the smallest details that the director SS. Rajamouli added into the film, it showed how much effort was put into making the film. The movie itself was completely riveting I never wanted to look away from the theatre screen with the fear that I would miss out a scene. Each scene was so well made, the scenes were breathtaking and the audio was so strong and powerful. It was such a well made movie and I am so proud of being from the region that Tollywood is from. My favourite scenes have got to be when Amarendra teaches Devasena how to shoot with 3 arrows just them fighting in harmony made my freaking day. I loved how he let her do her thing instead of being all go and take shelter I save you, No that's not what he did, he respected and admires her courage and strength which probably led to her falling in love with him. I mean who wouldnt hes a perfect human being. Another of my favourites was when he stood up for her and eventually lost his right to the throne because he believed his wife and god he loved her to the point her sacrificed his love for the people and the one thing he trained for since he was born. I loved that scene so much I would have married him right there. Unfortunately these kind of things dont happen to women when their partners/spouses wont defend them against their mothers. In which it really inspired me with what Amarendra did. Moving on to songs, my favourite songs in the movie was Dandalayya, Hamsa Naava like I kept playing them on repeat, they were very well composed by MM. Keeravani I liked these songs a lot more than the first movie, Baahubali The Beginning. Next, the actors themselves. PRABHAS. My goodness he was so amazing as Amarendra Baahubali, simply fantastic he was every bit Baabhubalis character demanded. Arrogance, Charisma, Strong, Powerful, Caring and Generous. Truly a stunning performer he played both Baahubalis so well although I must say that I enjoyed watching Amarenda Baahubali much more than Mahendra Baahubali. RANA Daggubati was brilliant he portrayed Bhallaldeva so well if made me feel so much hatred towards him, which shows that the actor is good because it evokes genuine feelings from the audience. ANUSHKA SHETTY . HOLY CARP she was a goddess in this movie so well played. She played the part of the warrior princess so well. Every bit of her character was potrayed a strong, brave and independent. I liked her before but now i love her after watching this movie. She such a strong character she her own army. Its so difficult to see these kind of characters in Indian cinema unfortunately, however things are gradually changing and I am so glad for the change in more female oriented movies. Ramya Krishnan she was fabulous as Rajamata Sivagamj such a strong women leading the kingdom alone, shes a real inspiration. In this movie her role consisted of playing and vulnerable humane like when she was blinded by her own familys conspiracies which eventually led to the demise of Baahubali buts she was sophisticated and suave she deserves an award for her role. Sathyaraj A.K.A. Kattapa, finally after almost 2 years we found why Kattapa kills the son that he raised and loved. He played him so well and wa every bit Loyal, Caring and Caring Kattapa is. In this movie Kattappa has a more comedic role which Sathyaraj plays very well. A surprise Bonus Character is Subba Raju as Kumara Verma, I loved him he was so comic and hilarious and in the end he turned out to be such an amazing warrior fighting till death for Baahubali . In Conclusion( hahaha get the pun?!?) Baahubali 2 was stupendous going beyond my expectations it had everything that an audience wants a great cast, an action and romance packed movie with great fighting scenes . In my opinion the plot was a bit weak and could have been better but other than that everything was fantastic. I am so proud to be a Teluguite because of the fact that we keep getting flak that we dont make good movies so the haters can suck it. I hope that Indian Cinema continues to produce and create this standard of movies. I wish to congratulate the movie and its team on the terrific job they have done. JAI MAHISHMATHI !!✊ ps. if you want to talk about thr movie with me i would be glad to
