We were sitting at home and we were all trying to keep calm. My older brother had been kidnapped by the Ghoulies and we had no idea where they took him. My Dad had all the Serpents looking for them, but there wasn’t even a hint at where they could be. Betty and her Mother were calling everyone they knew to try and help. I was sitting with my arm around Jellybean and tried to comfort her. That’s when the phone rang and everyone stood still. Dad walked over and picked up the phone.
“Hello?” He asked, while looking at all of us.
“Where the fuck is my son!?” He growled into the receiver.
“No fucking way!” He shook his head. Dad was silent for a moment until he sighed. He walked over to me and handed me the phone. I looked at him confused as I took it from him.
“Hello?” I asked.
“Hello there, Princess.” I heard Malachai smirking voice come from the opposite end. I looked up at my Dad with wide eyes and he knelt in front of me. He gently squeezed my knee and gave me an encouraging nod.
“Where’s my brother, Malachai?” I asked and he chuckled.
“Where’s the fun in that? I wanna talk to you for a bit.” He said and I rolled my eyes.
“Malachai, cut the crap and tell me what you want for my brother.” I said and he sighed.
“Fine… I want you, babe.” He said and my eyes widened.
“W-What?” I asked.
“I said I want you.” He said and I bit my lip. Dad looked at me with worried eyes as I felt tears spring to my eyes.
“Let me talk to Jughead.” I said, much less confident than before. I heard Malachai sigh then a door opened. It sounded like he threw the phone and someone caught it.
“Talk, asshole.” Malachai’s voice sounded distance now.
“Hello?” Jughead asked and my heart pounded faster.
“Juggie?” I asked with a slightly broken voice.
“Y/N/N?” He asked and I sobbed slightly.
“Are you alright?” I asked.
“I’ll be fine. Whatever he wants don’t give it to him. I can handle whatever these idiots do to me.” He said and I just knew he was giving Malachai a hard stare.
“That’s enough.” I heard Malachai say and the phone was pulled out of Jughead’s grasp.
“Y/N!” Jughead shouts became distant.
“You know he’s alive now, babe. So what’d ya say?” He asked, clearly having a smirk. I stared at my family and bit my lip. My Dad asked me to give him the phone but I shook my head.
“Let me sweeten the deal, if you don’t, I’ll kill your brother.” He said and my breath hitched.
“What do you say, babe?” He asked.
“Fine…” I whispered.
“Oh I promise you won’t regret it.” He said with a smile.
“I’ve got your number, I’ll text you where to go and meet you there.” He said and hung up. I pulled the phone away from my ear and stared at it in shock.
“What did you agree to, honey?” Dad asked, making me look at him.
“Nothing, Dad. Malachai’s just an asshole and wanted torment me.” I lied and he pulled me in for a hug.
“We’ll get your brother back, I promise.” He whispered in my ear. I nodded and held my Dad tightly.
Once the sun went down and the moon was high in the sky, I sat at my window and stared into the night. I felt my heart beating rapidly as I waited for the text from Malachai. I had written each of my family members notes and snuck into their rooms to leave them. I even wrote one for Juggie to let him know that this wasn’t his fault. I was doing this to save him, he didn’t deserve whatever the Ghoulies were doing to him. I didn’t want him to die, but I knew he was going to blame himself. My phone dinged, pulling me from my thoughts and made my heart beat quicker. I grabbed my phone and looked at the address that Malachai had sent me. He even added a ‘hurry babe, or your brother is gonna pay’. I took a deep breath and grabbed my bag that I packed a few things in. I grabbed my bike keys and headed out of my room as quietly I could. I snuck out the house and hopped on my bike. I started it and saw the light turn on in Betty’s room. I quickly pulled away from the house before anyone could stop me.
I pulled up to the address and found it to be an abandoned warehouse. I parked my bike and took a deep breath. I walked into the warehouse and found a bunch of Ghoulise staring at me with smirks.
“Where’s Malachai?” I asked with my arms crossed and my eyes glaring at all of them.
“Well the Princess arrives!” Malachai said as he pushed through the group. He smirked at me and walked right up to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into him. I kept my arms crossed and glared at him.
“Where’s Jughead?” I asked and he sighed.
“Why ruin the moment?” He asked and I raised a brow at him.
“Fine, bring out the Prince!” He shouted and two people went to go get my brother. Malachai turned his attention back to me and pulled me even closer. He leaned down and kissed my neck, making my breath stop.
“If you just be a good girl and act like you actually give a shit about me, I promise you won’t be hurt.” He whispered in my ear. I sighed and wrapped my arms around his neck and he smiled at me.
“There you go.” He said and pulled me in for a kiss. I reluctantly kissed him back and I heard someone gasp then struggle.
“Get off her!” I heard Jughead growled. I pulled away from him and looked at my brother with wide eyes. His face was bloody and I saw some blood staining his shirt.
“Juggie!” I shouted and went to run towards him, but Malachai wrapped his arms around my waist and stopped me.
“Mal, let me go.” I begged and he smirked down at me.
“Hearing you call me that is perfect.” He said as he rested his head on my shoulder.
“Mal… please, just let me see my brother.” I begged him and he sighed.
“Let him go.” Malachai said and they shoved Jughead to the ground. Malachai still had me wrapped in his arms and I looked at Juggie with pleading eyes. Jughead got up and started rushing towards up. Malachai chuckled and pulled out a gun, holding it towards Jughead. He stopped moving and his eyes went wide.
“Malachai, you promised!” I shouted and squirmed in his arms, but he only tightened.
“I’m gonna let her go to say goodbye to you, but if you try anything to take her from me I will kill you.” He said and I stopped moving. He let go of me, but turned me to face him. He looked at Jughead with a smirk and kissed me possessively. I head Jughead growl, but he didn’t move. Malachai finally let me go and I rushed over to Jughead. I wrapped my arms around him tightly. Jughead held me tightly and I buried my head in his shoulder.
“What’s going on, Y/N/N? Why the hell is Malachai kissing you?” He asked, gently pulling me back so he could look at me.
“I’m saving you Juggie…” I whispered. He looked at me confused and shook his head.
“Tell me Dad knows your here, or anyone?” He asked and I shook my head.
“You can’t do this, Y/N/N…” He whispered.
“He said he’d kill you, Juggie… I can’t let that happen.” I whispered and let a tear slip down my cheek. Jug whipped it away and held my head in his hands.
“What the hell deal did you make?” He asked and I sighed.
“Me for you.” I answered quietly.
“No, no! I’m not letting this happen, so go home.” He said and Malachai came up behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me against his chest.
“Too late, Prince. The Princess already agreed and the deal is done.” He said with a smirk.
“Get your fucking hands off my sister!” Jugead growled and went to lung at Malachai, but two guys grabbed him. Malachai let go of me and held his gun to Jug’s head.
“Mal, no!” I shouted and stood infront of my brother.
“Please, you promised me that you wouldn’t hurt him anymore if I came.” I begged. He looked between us and his gaze settled on mine.
“Please…” I begged.
“I said if he tries anything he’s dead.” He said and I gently pushed his gun down.
“H-He just needs to leave, please Mal…” I begged and he sighed.
“He has two minutes to leave, if he’s not gone by then I’ll kill him.” He said and walked back. He motioned his guys to let Jughead go and I turned to face my brother.
“Please just leave, Juggie.” I begged and he grabbed my shoulders.
“I’m not leaving you here.” He said and I shook my head.
“You have to…” I whispered and pulled one of his hands off me. I placed my bike keys in his hands and stepped away from him.
“Y/N/N, please… you don’t have to do this.” He begged. I bit my lip and stood next to Malachai. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me into his side.
“Relax snake, she’s about to be a Queen.” He said with a smirk and Jughead glared at him.
“Just go, Juggie. I’ll be alright.” I said and my brother started at me for a moment. I knew he could see the fear in my eyes, but I was more scared of losing my brother than being forced to be with Malachai.
“One minute left, better hurry.” Malachai said, his smirk growing as he shook his gun.
“Go…” I begged and Jughead sighed. He walked up to us and I saw Malachai go to lift the gun, but I squeezed his arm and he left it at his side.
“I’m coming back for you.” He whispered and Malachai laughed.
“Good luck with that.” He said and held me tighter.
“I’m not letting you snakes take my girl from me.” He said and Jughead glared at him.
“I swear I’ll be fine, Juggie, just go.” I begged and he sighed. He left the building and looked back at me one last time. I let my tears fall as my heart broke. I heard my bike roar to life and the sound slowly fading as my brother returned home.
“Don’t worry babe, I’m gonna make your life perfect, just like you deserve.” Malachai whispered and kiss my head.
“Meet your new Queen!” He shouted and I heard his gang cheer. I knew my family wouldn’t let me go easily, but I also knew that Malachai doesn’t want to hurt me. I think he actually loved me, which is weird to think about. I could possibly keep the peace between our gangs and prevent a war. But at the same time, I knew my family wouldn’t stop until I was away from the Ghoulies. I would do anything to protect my family and if that meant being with Malachai as he wanted, I would. I will keep my family and the Serpents safe.

“Do you hear that?”
The smallest sound of a girl’s whine is heard over the movie playing. The boy watching the screen turns to his girlfriend to see if she caught it, too.
“Jo?”
“Hm, what?”
“Did you hear that noise?”
Suddenly, on the tv, a woman cries out. The killer has slashed her throat.
“That one?”
“No, you goof, the one coming from upstairs. I thought we were home alone tonight.”
“We are. Aside from Kai, but Kai is Kai. He doesn’t leave his room.”
“Well could he be doing anything to be making that noise?”
“Jackson, I don’t even hear a noise. But no, he has strict orders from Dad and he knows the consequences if he breaks them.”
Jackson stills. Maybe he didn’t hear anything. In the back of his mind, he knows he did, but if Jo says it’s nothing, it’s nothing. Besides, if it is her brother, he figures it’s best to leave it alone. Jack’s never met Kai - Jo’s been adamant about that - but he does know the basics from her and her siblings.
You can’t touch him, and you really shouldn’t talk to him. He can hurt people just by touching them, and will hurt people to get his way.
Jo’s little sister, Clara, had said to him once: if Kai doesn’t wear his gloves, Daddy gets mad, because then he can hurt us. He did it to Sarah once and made her cry.
That alone is enough to keep him away from the boy. And despite his curiosities, he refuses to pry, mostly out of fear of Jo’s dad. Even without the dangerous son, the man is scary. The first time he showed up on the doorstep to take Jo out on a date, he had nearly threatened him. Sure, that’s a typical dad thing, but something tells him that Joshua Parker wouldn’t hesitate to actually harm him if he thinks it’s necessary. Maybe that’s where Kai gets it…
An eerie chuckle from the TV snaps the boy out of his thoughts as Chucky approaches his next victim.
Jo curls into her boyfriend, sweating. “Maybe we should’ve watched “Children of the Corn” instead,” she mutters.
Oh, yeah, that’s another thing…
Jackson’s mind flashes back to about an hour ago, when they were picking the movie.
“Not “Children of the Corn”,” Jo shudders, “that boy shares a name with my brother.”
Kai’s real name is Malachai. How creepy is that?!
“Eh, I think we’re better off with the killer doll,” he decides, also perturbed by the name.
As Jo cuddles into him, he starts to forget the sounds he thought he heard upstairs.
~~~~~
You’re breathing heavily, hardly. Kai’s hand is around your throat as he rocks his body into you. He pulls out nearly all the way before thrusting back in, and you swear his cock is reaching your stomach. His other hand holds onto your waist to keep you in place, probably leaving a bruise you’ll find in the morning. Every so often, he ducks his head to nip and lick at your breasts. Or, he’ll lock eyes with you, and you’ll feel your pussy fluttering, wetness pooling.
“Kai,” you mutter, eyes fluttering. Between his grip and the pleasure, you’re having trouble forming words.
And normally you wouldn’t care, but one thing’s wrong: the spell is breaking, you can feel it. You’re losing your concentration, and quite frankly, your consciousness.
“Kai. Sl-slow d-, wait-” the last word turns into another moan, and you’re unable to get his attention.
You can feel the energy of the magic in the room as it weakens. Though as the spell fizzles out, your orgasm draws nearer. Harder, even, as if the magic is channeling itself into you instead of holding up your silencing spell. Kai repositions his fingers on your neck, but he doesn’t slow down. There’s no telling what Jo is probably hearing now. The thought of her telling on you two starts to fill you with fear. Sweat beads at your forehead and you fight to cry out your boyfriend’s name as he keeps pace.
“Cum for me, Princess,” he whispers into your neck.
The pet name takes you out, quite literally. Forgetting all about Jo and the spell, your orgasm hits you. White spots take over your vision and your mouth becomes dry. Equal parts pain - from his grip on your neck - and pleasure - between your high and his, occurring at the same time - are felt throughout your body. He spills into you, filling you so much that it already starts to leak out. Your legs are shaking hard, and for a second, you black out.
When your head slacks onto the pillow, Kai stops abruptly and removes his hand from your neck. “Princess, are you okay? Wake up, please, come on.” He gently taps the sides of your face to bring you back to consciousness. With no luck, panic starts to rise in his chest. “Y/N, please.” Grabbing the water bottle beside the bed, he puts the cool metal against your neck, hoping a temperature shock will do the trick.
Immediately, your eyes open. You wake gasping, still feeling the effects of your high.
“Hey, gorgeous, you okay? Sit up, let me get you some water.” Kai fully pulls out of you, then comes to your side to tuck a few pillows under your head. He holds the bottle as you drink, playing with your hair gently at the same time.
Finally, you’re stable enough to look at him. Before you can get a word out, he’s already talking. “Baby, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you. Are you okay? I think I choked you too hard, or maybe I should’ve slowed down. Fuck. I’m sorry.”
His concern melts your heart. “Shh, it’s okay,” you sit up to cradle his face, assuring him he didn’t hurt you. “I’m totally fine, and you didn’t do anything wrong. I enjoyed every minute of that, Kai.”
“You blacked out because of me.”
“Yeah, because you can fuck me that well, Kai. That’s something to be proud of.”
He tries to smile, but you can see he’s still worried.
“I promise I’m okay.”
“Okay… can I at least take you downstairs to go get some orange juice? I don’t want you passing out again. Just in case.”
“Of course.” But as soon as you say it, you realize, “wait.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Part of the reason I think I blacked out was the spell.”
“What? What spell?”
“Kai - the silencing spell.”
His blood runs cold, “oh fuck.”
“I lost it right before we came. I think I tried to warn you, but I was too lost in the feeling.”
“Oh fuck, Y/N, I’m sorry! You tried to stop me, this is my fault!”
“No, no, no, hey, baby, come here.” The boy avoids your eyes, so you hold his face to make him look at you. “It is not your fault. And even if it was, I don’t care. It’s not the end of the world if your innocent little sister hears us.”
“She’s my twin,” Kai misses the point.
“Kai.”
“Hm?”
“She’ll live.”
“But if she tells Dad, we’re both screwed. He’ll ban you; he’ll do a stupid little spell that’ll keep us apart.”
“Then we’ll just have to bribe her. Chocolates?”
“Y/N, she’s daddy’s good little girl,” he mocks, “she’ll tell.”
You try to hide your anxiety. If Kai knows you’re worried, he’ll be ten times as worried. “Well, we can’t undo it. What’s done is done.”
“Maybe you didn’t lose the spell?”
Biting your lip, you answer, “no, I definitely did. But it’ll be okay, okay? Let’s just… go downstairs, like you said. Because to be honest, I am still a little out of it,” you try to refocus his anxiety onto your black out instead of his fear, “and if she brings it up, I’ll handle it.”
Thankfully, he nods.
“I promise you, it’ll be fine, Kai.” You give him a kiss. “I love you.”
“I love you, too. I trust you.”
“I trust you, too, pumpkin.”
Minutes later when you’ve dressed, you and Kai head downstairs, hand-in-hand. He’s still adamant about getting you an orange juice, and has now suggested several snacks, too. Though the sound of the TV being on as you near the kitchen has him holding your hand more tightly.
“It’s okay,” you whisper, “maybe it blocked us out.”
The way the Parker house is designed, anyone in the living room can clearly see anyone in the kitchen, and vice versa. The fridge door, however, blocks the person looking inside it. So the minute Kai opens the fridge, and you’re left standing by the sink, Josette’s and Jackson’s eyes turn to you.
“Hey, guys. Are youuuuu-?” You drag out the last letter, pointing at the unfamiliar boy.
“Jackson, Jo’s boyfriend.”
“Right.” You knew she had a boyfriend, but had never met him. Kai hadn’t, either.
“And who are you?” He shoots the question back at you.
Jo, however, cuts you off before you can even start to speak, “Kai’s only friend, that apparently, is a little more than a friend.”
So they heard. Whoops.
“Yeah, um, about that…”
“Dad gave you one rule when you started hanging out with my brother, and it was to not touch him. Do you not remember that?!”
“Oh but how could I not? His skin is so soft,” you whine.
“Y/N!”
“Jo, how am I not going to touch him? He’s my best friend.” You notice her eyes harden as soon as you say that. “What am I supposed to do if he needs a hug? Or if we’re watching a movie and our shoulders touch slightly? Ooh,” you make a wide gesture with your hands, “scandalous!”
“Y/N, this isn’t you.”
“Oh, it isn’t?! I’m sorry, was I supposed to come here almost every day to see you and pretend I didn’t notice your brother being left out of things? Forced to wear those stupid gloves because your daddy thinks he’s trying to hurt you? Not even allowed to talk to people, not allowed to leave his room half the time, not allowed to go on these stupid family functions you always have? Even I got invited to one of those, and I’m not even a part of this family. Josette, it’s insane! No wonder you think he’s crazy, you don’t even know him! You’ve never even let boyfriend over here meet him. Whatcha gonna do if he marries in? Say, ‘oh that’s my twin brother, but you’re never even gonna make face-to-face contact with him’? That screams dysfunctional family, and that’s not Kai’s fault!”
This interaction wasn’t going as planned. You hadn’t meant to start a fight with your ex-best-friend, you wanted to convince her not to tell on you and her brother. Well now she definitely will. Yet, you can’t stop.
“We are a dysfunctional family because of him, Y/N! He’s the reason we’re like this.”
“Why?! Because he was born different?! Because he doesn’t have ma-”
“Shut up, Y/N!” Her eyes widen as she scolds you.
Jo never says anything remotely close to a bad word, nor does she raise her voice. Her reaction only means one thing: Jackson doesn’t know. He doesn’t know they’re witches. Holy shit. You look over to Kai, both of you wearing shocked expressions.
The house goes quiet. Jo’s embarrassed by her own outburst, and everyone else is too speechless.
Finally, she calms, “just stop. I’m sorry I yelled. I don’t want to fight with you, I just want to know why you’re with him,” her face has a look of disgust, “like that.”
You sigh, “I’m dating him, because I love him, Jo. Because I let him in, and got to know him, and fell in love with him. He’s not some rabid animal trying to hurt you for fun, and he’s certainly not the man in the house you should be fearing.”
“Wait, me?” Jackson asks, confused, and ruining the seriousness of the conversation.
“No, idiot. Her dad.”
“Oh, yeah, he’s scary.”
Kai finally comes out from behind the fridge door. You knew he was hiding, but now it seems he’s gotten the courage to face his sister. Jackson stares at him, seeing him for the first time. Without glancing up at them, he hands you a glass of orange juice and a snack.
“Eat that.”
“What is it?”
“Cheese blocks. One sec, I have crackers, too.”
“So you’re Mala-”
“Don’t call him that,” you hear Jo mutter.
“-Kai.”
“Yep.”
“And you’re-”
“Y/N.”
“Soooo, best friends,” he points to you and Jo, “then curious about brother, but can’t be friends with both, so you chose brother, now you’re dating?”
“Yep,” you confirm with the same tone your boyfriend just used.
Kai then rises from the pantry floor, crackers in hand. “Eat this, too. Salt good for dizziness.”
“Why are you dizzy?”
Jeez, this boy is nosy.
“You wanna take a guess?” You can’t help being sassy to him.
“Oh.”
“Anyway… we’re going to go watch a movie now. Leave you to Chucky.”
As you turn to go, Jo stops you. “Wait, Y/N-”
“What?”
“I just… I’ve never felt comfortable with you two alone together, but now that you’re… doing that?”
“Jo, never in my life have I felt in danger around Kai.”
“Yeah, but one wrong,” with Jackson facing you, she makes the gesture of a siphon touch to your arm, “and you can,” she then makes one imitating someone being killed.
You take a deep breath. “Said it once, I’ll say it again. Kai’s not the man in here you should fear. That being said, you tell him you heard us, we’re all in deep shit. Including you, for having your boyfriend over when your parents aren’t home.”
“Dad loves Jack, he won’t care.”
“Believe what you want, but all I’m saying is that I snuck into Kai’s window the other night, and we both overheard Joey getting punished for just kissing a girl at school. You cuddling after what’s probably acceptable Daddy Parker hours, and us actually having sex, plus you not intervening with that? We’re all fucked.”
Her face goes blank at your words. “So you really did?”
“What’d you think we were doing? Hardcore cuddling? Nah, our first time was a loooonnngg time ago, Josette.” You pause, waiting to see if she’ll answer. Nothing; too shocked, apparently. “But yeah… don’t let your daddy find out his kids are growing up. I mean, I guess no dad likes to know their kids are doing that, but yours is particularly aggressive. I literally heard the slap to your brother’s face through the walls when he admitted he kissed some Clarissa girl he likes. I flinched. Kai didn’t. Wake up, Jo, your dad is a monster.”
And with your last word spoken, you take the snacks back upstairs, Kai close behind you.
The walk isn’t interrupted by a single voice, and it stays that way until you turn to your boyfriend. You’re on his bed while he’s just watching you.
“Come here, baby,” you make grabby hands towards him like a child, “let me cuddle you. I’m not gonna let him hurt you. Jo won’t tell; she knows I’m right.”
“She won’t change her opinion of him. She’s always going to be a suck up.” He caves and joins you on the bed, laying between your legs, head on your chest. It’s his comfort position whenever he feels scared: close to you, inhaling your scent, feeling your soft breasts on his cheek, hands intertwined.
“Yes, but she won’t tell about us, because she can’t do that without spilling her own secrets. One of them being that Jackson doesn’t even know she’s a witch. Like, that’s insane alone.”
Kai doesn’t answer, but you feel his tension ease up slightly.
“Hey, you need to relax a little more, okay? Take some,” you hold out your forearm for him to siphon, knowing your magic in his bloodstream usually calms him.
“No. Can’t hurt you.”
“Baby, it never hurts.”
“Already hurt you once today.”
“That didn’t hurt, either. I loved that. And I love this.”
He doesn’t answer.
“C’mon, Kai. You need it, and I need it. Makes me feel closer to you. Y’know, I can feel it, just a little, when my magic’s in you. It tingles my stomach. If I relish in it too much, makes me want you. Makes me wet,” you whisper, letting your breath hit his ear. “And I know you can feel it, too.”
Your words affect him, and soon, he becomes hungry for the need for your magic. The need to feel that same tingling effect, now amplified knowing you feel it, too. Slowly, he reaches a hand out, the one that’s not linked with yours, and grasps your forearm. As he focuses, the site glows orange, and the energy transfers between your bodies. You both moan lightly, and you cradle his head closer to you.
“There you go, my angel.”
After a few moments, he breaks contact, but that’s all that’s needed to have you swirling around his bloodstream. The sensation is there, and it’s strong, but you can tell Kai is too tired to take advantage of the feeling. Sometimes, it’s so intimate it puts him to sleep. Like this time, where you can feel the heaviness in his eyes from your linked bodies. It starts to make you tired, too.
“Take a nap, it’s okay.”
“I love you,” he mutters, almost inaudibly. You feel the words from his lips moving on your chest, though, and know what he’s said.
“I love you, too.”
Making You Mine - Kai Parker x Reader
Tumblr media
Okay so this one is SUPER LONG I’m sorry I got into it! I hope its okay! Requests are open! I can do TVD/TO and Teen Wolf. Request away my lovelies.
Pairing: Kai x Reader
Prompt: You’re Enzo’s sister (not by blood) and you have a secret kink/lifestyle that only your best friend Bonnie knows about. Kai ultimately finds out.
Warning: Daddy kink, DD/LG, fluff, smut and lot of Malachai Parker which everyone loves!
ENJOY!!
****
“What?” You deadpanned, your face staring blankly into Enzo’s eyes.
“I said-”
“I heard what you said you bloody arsehole.” You grumbled at his cheeky response.
Enzo took you in when you were 5, you were an orphan on the street with no family and he knew how that felt so he chose to raise you in England until you were 21 then gave you the choice to turn and travel with him or to stay and have a human life. You chose to turn, because you didn’t want to leave the man who raised you to an eternity alone. He wasn’t just like a big brother…he was your big brother. Blood bound or not.
“All I’m saying is it’s obvious that you clearly like him.” Enzo supplied switching his gaze to his girlfriend who was currently sipping her coffee watching you and your brother bicker back and forth. Bonnie had become one of your closet friends and she knew pretty much everything about you, even a few things that Enzo didn’t. Such as your hidden lifestyle. Bonnie was open enough that you trusted her with your deepest secrets and desires.
“I don’t like him. More like I want him to bend me over while I scre-”
“Stop talking.” Enzo groaned as if you were causing him physical pain, chuckling along with Bonnie at the sour face he was pulling.
“He’s a psychopath so I personally don’t see the bloody appeal.” Enzo muttered after regaining his composure.
“He’s not like that anymore and you know it. Even Bonnie has forgiven him big brother.” You replied, rolling your Y/E/C eyes at his childish attitude.
“Yes but he doesn’t deserve someone as pure an-” Before he could finish his sentence Bonnie snorted making you blush because you knew exactly what she was thinking. You shot her a death glare picking up your coffee and taking a sip to avoid having to speak.
“What’s so funny?” Enzo asked obviously very confused by Bonnie’s reaction.
“You don’t wanna know babe.” Bonnie supplied making Enzo nod his eyes wide, like he was scared to know the truth. You knew if your big brother found out about your secret life he would never look at you the same.
After everyone finished their coffee, the couple dropped you off home and went out for their usual Friday Date night. Enzo was old fashioned and loved spoiling Bonnie. You thought it was so sweet how much he loved her. As you walked up to the house and saw Tyler’s car in the driveway you let out a pained sigh.  You were currently living in the Salvatore boarding house along with Stefan, Caroline, Damon and Kai. You and Tyler weren’t on the best of terms after he bit you when you first came to town. Thankfully Niklaus handed over his blood easily since he liked Caroline and you were also good friends with Elijah who you met a few years after you turned. You stopped as soon as you saw Tyler, Stefan and Kai in the living room. Looking over at all of them, each holding a glass of bourbon. You rolled your eyes and hung up your coat and scarf up.
“Hey Y/N how was your coffee date with Bonnie?” Stefan asked sweetly making me smile. Stefan was always so sweet and kind to you, his gentleness is probably what made Caroline fall for him so easily.
“It’s was good but Enzo tagged along so girl conversation was kept to a minimum.” You pouted over at him before walking over to the kitchen and making myself a cup of tea. You really were British you thought to yourself. You strolled back into the front room, taking a seat in between Tyler and Kai, bringing your feet up and tucking them under you, sipping your tea as you soon settled down.
“Jesus why do you look like you’ve grown wolf claws?” Tyler snorted sarcastically, you looked down at my fresh acrylic nails that you had done the day before. They were stiletto shaped so you nodded noticing his comparison.
“You watch way too much teen wolf Tyler.” You teased mercilessly making him blush faintly.
“I d-do not!” He stuttered making you and Stefan laugh.
“Not that I blame you I mean…Derek Hale is a bloody sex god.” You groaned, faking a shiver for emphasis. Stefan snorted and took a sip of his drink before glancing at Tyler who was sulking in the corner of the couch.
“Anyway what are you boys doing tonight?” You enquired curiously as you sipped your tea.
“Well we’re going out to the bar to have a few round of pool and some drinks.” Tyler informed, nodding in response you kneeled up on the couch and reached over Kai to get your book you were reading in the living room the night before. You smiled sweetly at Kai before a voice interrupted.
“Jesus do you have to wave that thing at me. I may dislike you but I’m still a guy.” Tyler groaned rubbing a hand over his face. You looked over your shoulder to see him trying not to look at your ass, you were still hovering over Kai’s lap when you rolled your eyes at him. You sat back down ignoring Tyler’s previous statement.
“Caroline won’t be back tonight she’s staying with the kids because Alaric has a conference in New York. I’ll be joining her tomorrow since Alaric is gonna be gone a few days.” Stefan smiled softly adding that he’d leave you the key to the cellar. You nodded before making your way upstairs with you cup and book in hand. You reached the top of the stairs and almost tripping over a pair of combat boots.
“GOD DAMN IT MALACHAI!” You screamed before hearing all of them burst out laughing.
“Oops.” Kai chuckled softly before you made your way to your bedroom slamming the door angrily. You and Kai share this side of the house, his room is directly across from yours and he’s always leaving his shit everywhere. Stefan and Caroline have the attic area and Damon has the other side of the house.
After the boys left you checked they were completely gone and decided to have some you time. You searched through your wardrobe and grabbed the locked chest that was in the back of the giant wooden closet. Grabbing a pink crop top that had Princess written on it, your high waist Calvin Klein undies and some white and pastel pink stripy thigh high socks. You grinned deciding to also grab your stuffed white teddy and spare laptop that you used in secret. Making your way to the bed after changing into the outfit, you laid down on your stomach turning on the laptop and opening tumblr.
You had been a little since it pretty much became a thing. You didn’t do the whole diapers and bottle thing but you liked feeling small and well…little. You turned on your Lana Del Rey CD and scrolled through tumblr, re-blog some things your friends posted.  Your profile on this laptop was purely for your daddy kink and little space so your entire blog was covered in pastel colors, cute frilly stuff and then the filthy gifs just to top it off. You turned up the music and kicked your legs aimlessly.
You rarely got to do this anymore because you lived in a house full of people, only one person had ever seen you like this and that was Bonnie. It wasn’t on purpose you just accidently slipped into little space around her one day. You guessed it was because of how comfortable you were with her. She was shocked at first but she went along with it because she’s understanding and cares. She even braid your hair. You loved that you had someone who knew about this, it made you happy that someone was so understanding.
You giggled as a message from one of your little friends popped up in the corner, you had known Lilly for years, she was a vampire and also had a vampire Daddy, you envied her for being able to find someone who understood everything and cared for her. You opened it to see a few pictures from over the past few days. A few of the pictures were of her and her Daddy (Alexander). Giggling as you scanned through the pictures of them at the zoo and making food together in the kitchen. Lilly was clearly in little space at the time the picture were taken. You sighed sadly, rolling onto your back staring at the ceiling intensely. You hadn’t had a Daddy in at least 10 years. Your last one was human and he didn’t know you were a vampire which is why it didn’t work out. Trust and honesty is needed in any kind of relationship especially these types.
You got up and decided to get some candy to cheer yourself up. Skipping downstairs with a grin on your face, the teddy still hanging in your grasp, you bent down and opened the cupboard you knew Kai hid his candy in. You picked up a lollypop and went to grab a chocolate bar but heard the sudden sound of a pair of keys hitting the floor. Jumping to a stiff position you spun round quickly hiding the candy behind your back. It was a literal version of a kids hands being caught in the god damn cookie jar. Kai stood there with wide eyes looking you up and down, you blushed looking at your feet trying to avoid his gaze.
“Hi…” You covered my mouth as soon as you realised you still had your little space head on. Your voice slightly more high pitched and full of innocence, blushing even brighter as you looked up seeing Kai’s eyes widen further if that was even possible.
“Hey Kai did you grab that th-” You heard Tyler making his way to the kitchen, your eyes widened in fear as his foot step got closer.
“Don’t come in here.” Kai interrupted him quickly, his eyes never leaving mine.
“Huh? Oh whatever come on lets go.” Tyler said stopping in the hall way right outside the kitchen.
“I can’t go I just realised I have to talk to Y/N about some stuff. I’ll speak to you tomorrow tell Stefan I said sorry.” Kai’s eyes narrowed as he looked you up and down once again.
Tyler sighed and slammed the front door on his way out. You were about to sneak up stairs and lock your door so you could text Bonnie and tell her possibly one of the most embarrassing stories of your life but when you tried Kai raised one brow at you like he was daring you to move from that spot. In that moment he looked like a Daddy who had caught his little sneaking candy when he said no. You made involuntary squeak that made his lips twitch slightly like he wanted to smile.
“Anything you’d liked to share?” He asked his voice slightly more stern than he usually spoke before you could stop yourself, you blurted out the truth.
“I’m a little.” Your eyes grew in size as you soon registered what came out of your mouth. The silence was deafening, the blush painting your cheeks increasing tenfold as you moved your candy filled hand to the front of my awkwardly.
“You have a Daddy?” Your eyes shot up looking at him in surprise that he knew what little was. His voice seemed tense like he wanted to yelled but couldn’t. You shook your head and began speaking.
“I’m unowned and haven’t been collared in about 10 years.” Your voice was quiet but you knew he could hear you. His eyes grew dark a smirk slowly making its way to his lips. He made his way over to you stopping as he backed you into the corner of the kitchen sides. He looked into your eyes, his blue ones softening considerably.
“In that case I might just have to make you mine. Would you like that princess?” He whispered a real smile appearing on his face. Your eyes widened as you stared at him like he had grown another head. You’ve wanted a Daddy for so long but to have the man you have been lusting after all this time to offer you everything you want was like a dream that you never wanted to wake up from.
“R-Really?” You question curiously in a soft innocent tone.
“Mhmm. We should have a trial period to see if it’s really what you want. Okay baby girl?” Kai responded his voice soothing and gentle. You nod your head eagerly a bright smile forming on your gloss covered lips. You looked up at him shyly through your thick lashes, he grinned back causing your heart to flutter slightly.
“God if I’d have known you were a little I might have made my move sooner.” Kai groaned his hands making their way to your waist picking you up and putting you on the counter top.
“D-Daddy?” You said unsurely, since it was your first time calling him that. His eyes darkened slightly before his smile brightened.
“Yes princess?” He responded happily.
“C-Can I kiss you?” Your blush had yet to leave you face and wouldn’t be anytime soon as the thought of finally being able to kiss this gorgeous man in front of you swamped your mind. Instead of answering and cupped your cheeks gently before bringing his lips down to yours and kissing you softly. You felt so much emotion swirl in your stomach, his lips were surprisingly soft. They moved slowly prying your own lips open, his tongue cautiously slipped past your teeth wanting to explore all of you. His tongue investigated your mouth with so much tenderness you teared up slightly. He pulled back and stared at me in shocked wiping my eyes carefully.
“What’s the matter baby?”
“I’m s-sorry, it’s just I’ve been waiting for the right Daddy to come along and the fact that I’ve had a crush on you for a while and now this is happening…I’m just really happy.” You sniffed, smiling up at him happily. He kissed your cheek with a smile before picking you up and wrapping your legs around him. You giggled as he sped upstairs to his room, he placed you on the bed carefully before turning on his smart TV he had on his wall. He put on Netflix and sat on the bed with you, pulling you into his chest like you’d done it a million times before.
Sitting here with him felt so natural. You snuggled into him as he put on ‘Beauty and the beast’ you squealed as your favourite movie came on making Kai chuckle at you. Half way through the movie you got a message through Instagram. You opened it to see a picture of Alex and Lilly sat in what you presumed was their bed, Lilly was holding a teddy with one arm and the other was clutching Alex’s top. You read the message below.
‘When are you gonna come and see us? – A&L’
You sighed sadly, suddenly your phone was yanked out of your hand you tried to grab it but he moved it out of your reach. Suddenly the front camera had loaded up. Daddy pulled you into him, his lips pressing to the top of your head as you heard the camera sound go off, you looked at him confused as he sent it to Lilly and Alex with a message saying ‘Soon – L/F/N & K’
“You don’t have to envy your friends anymore princess. If you want selfies with Daddy or you want a new dress. All you have to do is ask.” He stated confidently, you stared at him with wide eyes. Before either of us could blink you were straddling him, your lips smashed against his. You hadn’t felt happiness like this in years. You left out a soft whimper as you pushed your hips into his. You pulled back and bit your bottom lip, both my hands resting on his chest.
“Jesus…You look so innocent right now.” He flipped you both over, his hands pinning your arms to the bed. He moved closer his lips hovering near your ear.
“It makes Daddy wanna ruin you.” He moved back slightly, looking down at you with lust filled eyes. He slowly kissed down your neck, his hands sliding up your crop top exposing naked breasts. You heard him groaned as he looked down at your body. You let out a needy whine as his lips enclosed around your nipple, his right hand stroking up and down your body soothingly, his other gently massaging your left breast as his mouth tend to the right. He continued kissing down your stomach making you arch into his touches, biting your lip to keep from whining again. As he reached the top of your high waist Calvin’s you gripped his shoulders your manicured stiletto nails digging into his flesh. He groaned and sucked a hickey into your ribs which you both knew would be gone before you finished but he didn’t care.
“Those little claws are going to be the death of me kitten.” He groaned as he tore off your undies you were about to snap at him for breaking your favourite pair of undies but when his lips were hovering over your dripping pussy you lost all words.
“I’ll buy you some of the same ones in pink whatever you want baby.” He spoke as if he knew you weren’t happy about the undies.
“P-Please Daddy…” You cried out as he kissed everywhere but the source of your problem.
“What do you want princess?” His hands rubbed circles into your hips making you buck into his touches.
“Touch m-me…Please D-Daddy…” You tried to clench your thighs together for some kinda of frictions but Kai pushed them down spreading them further as he did. Instead of replying he finally moved his lips to your soaking pussy, he licked softly at your clit causing you to lurch forward at the sudden immense amount of pleasure. Your hands thread through his hair tugging on it slightly. He didn’t give you any warning before entering you with two fingers, making you arch up in surprise, a moan making its way past your lips. Kai’s lips pulled away from your clit his husky voice only making your arousal worse.
“God your moans are filthy. Daddy’s so hard baby girl.” You tugged at his hair making his hiss, he sat up easing your hands off his hair and pulled his shirt off. You looked his toned body up and down admiring the view as he pulled his pants and boxers off. You stared at his member which was a lot bigger than you had imagined, it was thick and it made you keen at the thought of it being inside you.
“Like what you see princess?” Kai asked smugness radiating off him but you didn’t care. You nodded biting your index finger watching him as he got between your legs his fingers soon re-entering you. Sighing in appreciation as you pushed yourself as far as you could onto his finger. He moved his hand slightly, the heel of his palm against your clit, his ring and index finger got into a certain position. You knew as soon as his finger started moving up and down what he was doing. You screamed as his finger pushed into your g-spot firmly, you’d only been with one other guy who knew how to find and hit your g-spot. Most men don’t know where it is. Your screams were getting louder as his up and down motions got faster, he placed his hand on your pubic bone to hold you down.
He grinned down at you clearly loving the reactions he was getting, you instantly felt your insides clench as he made you cum for the first time, you saw white as you fell off the edge into bliss. Your body was having little spasms as you came down from your high but apparently Kai wasn’t done because as you started to see slightly better he started doing it again. You looked up at him with wide eyes.
“D-Daddy stop…” You sobbed your back arched slightly, another orgasm building up.
“Cum for me princess.” He demanded softly, his voice finally pushing you’ve over the edge once again as you felt yourself starting to squirt. It wasn’t loads but it was enough to make you flush in embarrassment. You knew what squirting was but had never experienced it so you were shocked beyond belief. You covered your face with your hands embarrassed at what had just happened. All of a sudden I felt Kai’s tongue at your entrance making your body twitch.
“God baby girl that was so hot…You taste so delicious.” He moaned as he continued lapping at the mess you had just made. You gasped at his words looking down at him in shock.
“D-Daddy I want your cock inside me…now.” You demanded you still managing to sound timid and embarrassed.
“Good because Daddy wants to see if he can do that again. With his cock this time.” Kai smirked as he moved his dick towards your entrance. As he pushed in slowly your hands grabbed onto him clawing at his back at a desperate attempt to ground yourself. He was by far the biggest you’d had making you feel fuller than you had ever felt. Once he was full inside he started thrust slowly changing his angles until he found what he was looking for. Once he found your g-spot again he started thrusting into it roughly.
“Shit! O-Oh god Daddy!” You screamed your nails still digging into his flesh drawing blood, making his speed increase.
“Princess you’re so tight I don’t know how much longer I’m gonna last.” He groaned his breath fanning across your cheek. Your body started to build for the third time tonight, your walls clenching round him.
“M-Me too Daddy…S-So close.” You screamed in pleasure as you felt yourself building further.
“Come on baby girl cum all over Daddy’s cock.” He moaned huskily into your ear. With that you fell off the edge more powerful than the previous two times, you felt Kai pull back still pounding into you mercilessly as he watched you cum undone all over him.
“P-Please Daddy cum inside my pussy.” You moaned seductively, biting your index finger for emphasis. He bite his lip letting out a pleasure filled groan as you felt his hot seed spill into you. You moaned as some of the hot seed trickled out because of the shear amount. He rolled off you and laid next to you pulling you close to his chest.
“Well done baby. You made Daddy very happy.” You sighed contently as he stroked your hair lovingly, whispering words of praise into your damp hair. After about 5 minutes he detangled himself from you making you whine.
“I’ll be back in a minute I need to get you some juice.” He said softly lend over the bed and kissing your forehead gently. You shook your head and made grabby hands at him.
“You want to come with me?” He asked softly, you just nodded in response. He chuckled and made his way to get you some clothes. He grabbed his shirt and boxers then left the room coming back with some panties and a cloth. He slid on his boxers and some joggers before moving over to dress you. He wiped you down before sliding his top on to you that he’d been wearing previously and the panties he’d just brought you. You sighed happily as he made sure your socks were set right before picking you up bridal style. You let out a giggle as he sped downstairs only to come to an immediate stop in the living room. You looked up at him confused before you saw his face. You looked at what he was looking at, there sat Enzo, Damon, Bonnie and Tyler. You jumped out of Daddy’s arms, which was a big mistake as you literally couldn’t stand. Kai caught me before you fell lifting you back up with a worried look on his face.
“Well this is sufficiently awkward.” Tyler whisper under his breath. You dared to turn and look at your brother, a blush covering your cheeks.
“That was kinda hot not gonna lie, though I didn’t take Y/N as a screamer.” Damon snickered making Enzo shoot him a death glare shut him up instantly.
“Well I’m happy for you. Your brother would probably say the same if he wasn’t so mentally scarred right now.” Bonnie added smiling softly at you.
“You heard her from all the way upstairs Bonnie!?” Kai screeched making you look up at him.
“Yeah…” Bonnie replied cautiously, at that Kai appeared to preen like he’d been told he was a god. You rolled your eyes smiling softly.
“Don’t look so smug Malachai. When I get a hold of you. You’re not gonna have a dick.” You heard Enzo growl as he sped towards both of you. Kai ran to the other side of the living room placing you of the couch gently, like that was his only concern.  Suddenly he was yanked back you grabbed the nearest heavy object ready to throw it when Bonnie stopped you shaking her head. You looked at her confusedly before turning to look at your brother. Enzo had his fist back ready to throw a punch at Kai who was pinned to the coffee table.
“Fine hit me if it makes you feel better but that not gonna stop me. I’ve waited far too long for this and I won’t give her up now. You might think my feels are just lust but they’re not! She’s the reason I’m trying to repent, trying to make myself better. The moment I saw her pure and innocent smile I wanted to be a man worthy of her.” You sat there shocked at his confession your hands trembling as you took in every word he said. He glanced over at you and smiled softly. You took a deep breath and smiled back at him. Your brother turned to look at me seeing the smile you had on your face. Enzo let him going letting Kai get up but making no move to help him.
“Just know if you ever hurt her. I will torture you before I kill you.” Enzo snapped before sitting down next to Bonnie. Kai nodded and left the room quietly. He soon came back with a glass of orange juice and a blood bag. He sat down passing you the glass before stroking your hair as you drank the juice, you shot him a smile as you finished the juice. He nodded smiling as if to say an unspoken ‘Good Girl’ after that you cuddled and sat with everyone talking around you.
You’ve never been as happy as you are in this moment.
Love Story - A Kai Parker One Shot
Tumblr media
*not my gif
Pairing: witch!Reader x siphon!Kai
Character Name: Rosalie Wilson
This IS a reader insert fic; I just don’t like writing with Y/N in the place of names. Use Rosalie/Rose as a placeholder for Y/N and Wilson as L/N :)
Requested?: No
Word Count: 3,269
Song Inspiration: Love Story - Sarah Cothran, sad version
This is a cover of 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift, but it's arranged in a minor key and some of the lyrics have been changed. The version with lyric changes cannot be found on Spotify. It is one of the most hauntingly beautiful things I've ever heard.
This piece is inspired by Romeo and Juliet.
Description: The Parkers and Wilsons had been feuding families in the Gemini Coven for centuries now. The constant battle for Coven leadership harmed them to this day, stealing lives and happiness...
Warnings: Angst/darker emotions, familial violence and abuse, suicidal thoughts/ideation, and mentions of death
Sections of italicized song lyrics signify scene changes (note: the lyrics aren't necessarily in order). The story begins after the break :)
We were both young when I first saw you I close my eyes, and the flashback starts I’m standing there… on a balcony in summer air.
A deep sigh rang out from within Rosalie’s chest. She stood on her balcony, closing her eyes as the cool evening breeze washed across her bare shoulders. As the daughter of the Wilsons, Rose knew she’d have to make her obligatory appearance soon enough, but she hated these stupid parties. They were full of obnoxious, stuffy people who couldn’t be bothered with her.
Being a Gemini witch meant nothing if you weren’t born a twin, no matter how powerful you were. Every year her parents threw these ridiculously lavish parties for her younger brother and sister, counting down until their 22nd birthday.
People were spinning around under the sunset, laughing and dancing in their gowns and tuxedos. “Yay for Sarah and Sam Wilson…” Rose muttered under her breath. It was all a technicality, anyhow.
The Parkers were to keep Coven leadership, but there was something up with their oldest twins – something they kept under wraps. Whatever it was opened the pathway for her younger siblings to merge and take over everything.
Swallowing softly, Rosalie turned around and headed inside. Her burgundy ballgown grazed the wooden floorboards despite the painful golden heels her feet struggled in. Gold detailing around her waist matched the lotus-shaped clip in her hair, keeping it swept away from her face.
The last element was a mask hiding her face, the most important aspect of her façade. It was time to join the party; time to put the mask of the supportive sister on once more.
See the lights, see the party, the ballgowns See you make your way through the crowd and say hello Little did I know…
Malachai couldn’t breathe for another moment in that house, despite all the warm and fuzzy memories associated with it: mom and dad calling him an abomination, annoying little siblings running around, and years upon years of being a pariah. Tonight was the annual birthday bash the Wilsons threw: the perfect distraction.
With so many suits and dresses and masks, it was easy for Kai to slip in unnoticed. His outfit was his camouflage with no flashy cravat and a sleek black mask hiding his face. He got himself a gin and tonic, watching the throngs of people weave between each other.
Minutes passed, and Kai didn’t look away from the crowd. The twins of honor were identifiable enough with their navy blue and silver attire. It seemed all of the Wilsons were in blue and silver. All except one.
Even if she was wearing a façade, Malachai recognized her. They’d met before, of course, at Coven meetings his father would let him attend and crowded high school classrooms. Rosalie wasn’t one for outbursts, but her silent protests were worth applause. A smirk came onto his face, and he made his way through the crowd
Discreetly coming up behind her, Kai leaned in, whispering into her ear. “Quite a colorful show of support for your siblings.” He was rewarded with a little jump of surprise, only making his smirk grow.
Rosalie recognized his voice, but she’d never imagined a Parker would have the guts to come here. The animosity between their families went back generations, and Malachai Parker did not belong here. “Quite the stunt you’re pulling on enemy ground.” Even so, when she turned to look at him, Rose couldn’t help but be intrigued by his bravado.
“What are you doing here?” Rosalie twirled around, facing Kai. He had this unique sparkle in his eyes, something she’d never known him to have. “Well, I’m here to celebrate the birthday of the future Gemini Coven Leader… pre-merge Coven Leader.”
Wilsons are taught to hate all Parkers. Parkers are taught to hate all Wilsons. However, Malachai and Rose had a shared reality that bred respect between them. Both felt jilted, hurt by the Coven’s demands.
It was comforting to have someone who could understand them, even if the comfort came from fleeting glances or a handful of conversations in between classes. There had been a few flirtations, too, and the attraction finally came bubbling to the surface.
“And to get out of your house, I presume.” He placed a hand over his heart, feigning hurt. “You wound me. Is that what you think of me? I’m just here to congratulate your siblings on getting one year closer to taking the Coven Leadership that was supposed to be mine.” Rose pressed her lips together, muffling a snicker. “Am I wrong though?” Playfully defeated, Kai’s shoulders sank. “No, you’re not wrong.”
“I thought so.” Feeling rather pleased with herself, Rosalie took his drink from his hand and took a sip of it. “Um, that’s mine, drink thief." Despite his complaints, Kai wore a cheeky grin. A bubble seemed to have formed around them.
There was an exchange of smiles, a brush of fingertips as the cool glass changed hands. “Oh, I don’t think you really mind. You’re a gin guy, hmm?”
Kai drained the last few drops and set the glass on the stone edge of a fountain. “Is there something wrong with that? I think gin gets a bad rap.” Before she could blink, Kai took her hand in his and twirled her into the middle of the dancing crowd. She yelped in surprise yet laughed when his hand rested on her waist, the other interlocking with her fingers.
“You know the gentlemanly approach would be to ask a woman to dance.” Kai only shook his head, the smile never leaving his face, as he spun her out and pulled her back in. Rosalie’s back pressed against his chest, his heart racing. How had he been so close to her all this time without knowing this heady effect? It was better than the buzz from any alcohol in the world.
“Lucky for me, I am no gentleman.” Even as he spoke, Kai led her through the dance seamlessly. With the song coming to a crescendo, they were face to face once more. Their bodies were close. Their gaze locked on the other. Suddenly, it seemed there was no one else.
The party went on, and the music continued to play, but Malachai and Rosalie stood still. Their cheeky banter had subsided. Now, there was only them.
Feeling particularly brave – perhaps because of the gin, or maybe because of the wondrous turn of events – Kai let his instincts take the lead. Without another word, both leaned in to feel the other’s soft kiss.
People danced around them, yet they only held onto each other tighter. So enraptured by each other, the disdain of Rosalie’s father went unnoticed…
I sneak out to the garden to see you We keep quiet, ‘cuz we’re dead if they knew So close your eyes… escape this town for a little while
With her bedroom door locked from the inside, Rosalie opened her window with painful slowness. One creak and she’d be caught. She had no real belongings with her, which made maneuvering to the giant oak just a few feet away that much easier. Her heartbeat rang in her chest and drummed into her ear, serving as a ticking clock; each second brought her closer to Malachai.
With about as much stealth as a golden retriever, Rosalie somehow made it to the ground safely. The hard part was over. Now, she trekked to somewhere only they knew: the meadow. It was almost a sacred place, untarnished by warring families or harsh Coven rules.
Malachai was waiting for her. He gathered up some smooth pebbles from the ground, chucking them at the trunk of a tree. The moon was high up in the sky, and within just three days, it would reach its zenith.
Kai stared upwards, an unknown expression of peace on his face. He’d never known contentment, especially not within his own home, but he was adamant. Kai would no longer yield to his family or the ties binding him to the Gemini Coven. The only tie he wanted was the one that connected to her.
His daze made Kai all the more vulnerable to a sneak attack. Swallowing her giggle, Rosalie jumped forward. The surprise knocked them both to the ground, earning a groan from Kai. “Well, hello to you too.” Turning over to face her, Kai felt his heartbeat grow stronger when he gazed upon her smile. “I’m happy to see you.”
They lay side by side in the field of flowers, talking about everything and nothing. Their fingers were linked together, their bodies entangling for warmth. They’d found their other half, and the worries of the world no longer mattered.
 The night wore on, and the serenity of the meadow served as a sanctuary. It was a place they were safe and alone and happy and cherished… What else does one need?
You were Romeo, you were throwing pebbles And my Daddy said, stay away from Juliet I was crying on the staircase, begging you please don't go.
Weeks went by, and their secret romance continued. There was joy in their eyes, a spring in their step. Both were hopelessly and irretrievably in love with each other just as it should be. Of course, the world doesn’t care to let such happiness last for long.
In the early hours of morning, when Malachai came with Rosalie to bring her home, the porch lights turned on. The lighthearted feelings from just a moment ago vanished.
Rosalie’s father stepped out of the house, his arms crossed and his eyes hateful. Rose attempted to move away from him and go to her father before something went wrong, but her feet were frozen. With a strong, defiant arm around her, Kai didn’t dare let her go.
“Malachai Parker, has Joshua not taught you well enough to not trespass?” The corner of Kai’s lip twitched, unsure whether to frown or laugh.
“My dad doesn’t really care about me, and it’s not trespassing if I was invited.” Rosalie bit the inside of her cheek, already anticipating the storm this would create.
“I suggest you let go of her and leave before I make you.” He advanced forward, the threat transparent. Malachai was not unhinged; his hold on Rose only tightened. Rosalie bit the inside of her cheek, finding the strength to wrench herself from Kai’s grip and step in front of him to protect him.
The sound of her dad’s jaw snapping shut echoed into the fearfully quiet night. Without another word, a harsh hand encased Rosalie’s forearm, tugging her inside. Before Kai could move or even let a sound escape, they’d disappeared. He heard the door slam shut, and then everything was still again.
Behind the silent walls of the house, Rosalie’s father tossed her into her bedroom. Slamming into the ground with the force of his push, her head scraped against the floor. Warm droplets of blood seeped into her hairline, trailing down her cheek and falling to the floor. Her room was sealed with magic, and there was no way out.
Malachai stood in the dark driveway in front of Rosalie’s home for nearly an hour, wracked with a dilemma. Kai could tear down her front door and take her away with him, away from all of the Coven and their families, or he could walk away.
It wasn’t much of a choice. He couldn’t do anything right now, not without risking their safety. Silently, he promised to come back – knowing it was a promise he’d kill to keep.
‘Romeo, save me, they’re trying to tell me how to feel. ‘This love is difficult, but it’s real. ‘Don’t be afraid, we’ll make it out of this mess. ‘It’s a love story, baby just say yes…’
Malachai stared at the blank ceiling. His bedroom fan spun around once… twice… thrice… Time didn’t make much sense. He wasn’t sure if he’d been in his room for days or weeks. He hadn’t seen or heard from Rosalie in just as long. Joshua Parker heard of Kai’s actions through Josette, and his rage rivaled that of Rose’s father.
It was a miracle the Gemini Coven was still alive today. With the Parkers and Wilsons at each other’s throats, how this Coven hadn’t imploded was a mystery. It was ridiculous. No one knew why they hated each other, the feud going too far back to remember. How did the two of them falling in love hurt anyone? If anything, it had the power to fix this wretched fight.
He was under house arrest, hence the staring contest with his fan. The only one who could pass through his door was Josette – some twin loophole in Dad’s sealing spell – to bring him food. She knew nothing about how Rosalie was faring, just that she was also caged like him. They had no way of communicating, no way of knowing how the other was. It was more painful than the solitude.
His door burst open then, rebounding off the wall. Joshua Parker came in and uttered a few terse words. “You and Josette will complete the merging ceremony tomorrow. Afterward, when you have the knowledge given only to the leaders of the Coven, you’ll understand exactly why we stay separated.” Giving him no time to ask questions, Kai’s father left as soon as he came.
An unsettling feeling made its home in his stomach. Malachai knew his father and how much he despised him. He wouldn’t just hand Kai the Coven leadership, even if they’d planned to steal it from the Wilsons all along. Something was horribly wrong.
I got tired of waiting… Wondering if you were ever coming around. My faith in you was fading… When I met you on the outskirts of town, and I said ‘Romeo, save me. I’ve been feeling so alone. ‘I keep waiting for you, but you never came.’
Seventeen miles away, Rosalie hugged her knees to her chest. Her whole being was empty, devoid of thought or feeling – devoid of hope. She’d lost faith in everyone and everything. The door opened, and the magical seal was removed. Her father stepped inside, not moving any closer.
Rose didn’t acknowledge his presence. His sigh rang throughout the room, the only sound to bounce from the walls in hours. “Rosalie, Kai is gone.” She blinked a few times, not registering what he was saying. Gone? What do you mean by gone?
"It's done. Malachai is gone. He is dead."
If she’d felt numb before, it was nothing compared to what happened then. Her senses gave way: she could no longer see anything but darkness or hear anything but faint ringing.
Rose sat this way, frozen as a corpse. Her father had long since left when the first sob escaped her lips. The first turned into many, the numbness turning into agonizing pain. Suddenly, she’d do anything to have the emotionlessness back.
Rosalie’s hand clasped her throat, her windpipe not letting any air in. “Oh, make it stop, make it stop, make it stop!” Gasping for oxygen and trying to survive the sheer anguish, her body trembled with uncontrollable sobs.
“I can’t – I won’t – I can’t…” Her grief-filled refrain chanted on and on. She couldn’t survive this. She wasn’t going to try.
~ Earlier that night ~
Kai’s father led him to a clearing, not too far from their special meadow. Other Coven members filtered in, forming a circle around him and Josette. They joined hands, and Josette smiled at him encouragingly. He wasn’t convinced. They weren’t saying anything, and no one began the merging ritual.
“Why aren’t they saying anything?” Malachai’s question was an unanswered whisper in the night. Joshua Parker saw the confusion on his son’s face. He would’ve laughed had the situation not been so dire.
His father took something out of his pocket, and Kai flinched out of instinct when he came closer. It looked like a clock of sorts, with many different mechanical pieces moving together. “You asked why Parkers are taught to hate Wilsons? It’s because of someone like you.”
The Coven members took a step inwards, shrinking the circle. Josette slinked back into the darkness until it was just him and his father. “What? I don’t…”
“A daughter and son, twins of soul and heart, come to life in winter and spring. Should these flames unite, the Coven burns with them.” Joshua spoke the prophecy known to all Coven Elders. “We have long known a daughter and son of our families could destroy everything. Our ancestors made the decision long ago to foster hatred between themselves, hoping it would be enough to stop the prophecy from coming true.
“You and Rosalie are the ones the prophecy speaks of, and we cannot allow you to be together.” Kai saw his father’s eyes soften then. It was the first sign of any genuine affection from him in years.
“I’m sorry, my son. But the Coven always comes first.” The chant began then, and the remorse vanished from Joshua’s eyes.
A scream wrenched itself out of Malachai’s chest. His father aimed the Ascendant at him under the light of the full moon, and it began to unravel, the metal clicking. His head throbbed, feeling like his brain was being seared. The Gemini Coven stood around silently, watching the show. The sky above tore in two, opening a dimension to a new realm. The last thing he saw before Kai was taken away was Rosalie’s father standing in the crowd…
My dad said, ‘It’s done, you won’t bother me. ‘Your soul’s in the sky.’ I fall to your feet. They said, ‘Romeo’s gone now. Get up and go live your life. ‘Find a man, forget about him, you’ll be fine.’
The meadow felt strange. Surreal, as if someone had plucked it from a dream. Rosalie wasn’t even certain she was there. Kai was at the edge, hidden behind a few trees, but she could see him. Her mouth opened to call out to him, but no sound came out. It felt like she had just blinked, but he was now in front of her.
Something in his expression made Rosalie fearful. This no longer felt like a dream; it felt like a nightmare. “Kai…”
Malachai glared at her, his eyes filled with a loathing she'd never seen in him. He wasn’t truly there, of course. This was just some image her mind conjured up in her last moments… strange that it wasn’t a happy one. She’d never gotten the chance to tell him that she loved him.
Even in death, happy endings are awarded to a fair few.
I can’t go without you, it’s agonizing. If you’re not here, then I’m so done with trying…
Eighteen years later, Kai Parker stood in front of a grave. Everyone had hated him, tossed him in a prison of time. He still looked the same as he did all those years ago when he stood in the meadow with her. All Malachai could do now was sink to the ground and trace his fingers over the etching on her headstone.
Rosalie Wilson Beloved Daughter and Cherished Friend December 22, 1972 - May 11, 1994
The handle of a blade turned over in his other hand. Kai saw his reflection in the shining silver metal. A look of hurt and peace gleamed back from his eyes as a lone teardrop fell onto the weapon. He was out of the Prison World now, which meant he could escape the cell of his existence.
Without much more aplomb, Kai thrust the knife into his heart.
This concludes my Malachai Parker Romeo-and-Juliet-inspired One Shot!
Romeo and Juliet is a tough act to follow, and I was grappling back and forth between originality versus inspiration. I hope I managed to do the story some justice.
Thank you so much for reading :) I welcome your thoughts, comments, constructive criticisms, or anything under the sun!
I've had this piece planned for months, but life didn't give me the chance or energy to write it. Nevertheless, I'm happy I was able to get it out of my head and typed out of my fingers now :)
If you enjoyed this piece, check out more of my Kai Parker stories from my Malachai Parker Masterlist. If you’d like to be added to my taglist, please send me a message or comment on this post.
Tumblr media
Your life was pretty hectic to say the least, you were the only living family member of Malachai, otherwise known as the King of the Ghoulies. Growing up was never easy for either of you so when Malachai had a chance to improve he took it no questions asked. He had built his family so to speak.
 Being the sister of Malachai was interesting, since you were the baby he was overly protective. At Southside High he had his ghouls to watch over your every move, but tomorrow… tomorrow you start Riverdale High.
Riverdale High was going to be your escape, sure the Serpents knew who you were but they seemed to leave you alone, the Northsiders wouldn’t know you, you would have a fresh start. Somewhere you wouldn’t get dirty looks and people avoiding you, yeah tomorrow was a new beginning and you couldn’t be more excited.
You shouldered your faded light blue, torn to shit bookbag as you stared at the building in front of you. It seemed to taunt you, once they find out who you are, they’ll all hate you, might as well not get your hopes up. You were shaken out of your thoughts with a slight bump to your shoulder. Looking over you saw three serpents.
You sighed. “Look I don’t want any trouble...I just want to go to a school where I’ll actually get to learn.”
Sweet Pea eyed you suspiciously, before clearing his throat. “Why aren’t you at Seaside?”
You rolled your eyes, you had heard enough of this from Malachai. Annoyed you let out a huff. “I’m not an official Ghoulie so I was put in Riverdale High, look I don’t ever cause trouble with you guys, yes my brother is a known enemy, but if you don’t tell then I won’t.”
They huddled in a little closer to each other murmuring softly, before the shorter one turned back flashing you a smile. “Deal. Just follow behind us, we’ll call Riverdale High neutral territory.” You nodded. “I’m Fangs, this is Sweet Pea,” You had known Sweet Pea all too well from a party you weren’t supposed to be at and one too many beers, you both had pretended the whole thing didn’t happen. “That’s Toni. Stick by us these Northsiders can be real mutts.”
You nodded as you walked up the stairs following the two headed angry snakes in front of you. If Mal knew you had befriended Serpents you would never hear the end of it. You stopped abruptly, watching in horror as students stood on the stairs yelling at the Serpents that stood in front of you. Quickly you snuck off grabbing your schedule out of your pocket, staring at it trying to magically will yourself to know where these classes were, turning into the next hall you smacked into someone sending you to the ground. You looked up profusely apologizing to the boy in the blue and gold letterman that stood above you. He held his hand out helping you up. “Don’t worry about it, I’m Moose.”
What was up with these Riverdale names? “I’m Y/N, uh-sorry for running into you… it's my first day and I have no idea where my classes are. Someone was supposed to show me but then a fight happened between Serpents and students and well I ducked out.”
Moose studied you for a moment, “I can show you to your class if you’d like?” You smiled nodding, grateful to literally run into someone helpful.
Moose showed you to the correct class a few minutes before the bell rang, you stepped in seeing an empty desk near the middle, you awkwardly maneuvered in and out of the desks before settling on the only empty one, you slid your bookbag off your shoulder, opening it up as you pulled out a pen and your notebook. You patiently awaited for the teacher to start, hopefully they would care and not just have you read from a book or do whatever the class wanted.
“Hey”
You looked over to the desk next to you. There sat one of the students that were yelling from the stairs. Was he going to yell at you now? In front of everyone? Oh God.
“Why don’t you have a jacket on?”
You looked at him puzzled. “What do you mean?”
“You’re obviously new, I watched you walk in behind the school's new trash but you don’t have a jacket… why?”
“I’m not a Serpent, only Serpents have those jackets….I’m just a normal girl.” You added in as you turned back towards your notebook as the teacher took the front of the class.
The boy next to you seemed to study you a bit longer before he nodded and looked away.
You spent the rest of the class taking notes, painstakingly aware of the boy next to you stealing glances. When the bell rang you gathered your things slowly as you pulled your schedule back out. Jumping when the shaggy haired boy next to you spoke again.
“I have that class next, if you’d like I can walk you?”
If he thought the Serpents were trash, how would he think of you? Why did it matter? “I don’t even know you...”
He flashed you a smile as he extended his hand, “I’m Reggie Mantle.”
“I’m Y/N.”
He arched his brow, “Just Y/N?”
You nodded, as he led you out of the classroom, your eyes flickering to Sweet Pea as you walked out the look on his face utter betrayal. What did you do? What did you owe him anyway? He hated you.
You shook the look off as you followed Reggie to the lockers, a familiar face waiting. Moose gave you a warm smile. “Y/N, I’ve seen you’ve managed to find another tour guide.”
A light chuckle escaped you, “I keep finding those. Guess I’m just lucky.”
You sat down at a small table near the back corner pulling out your lunch, you huffed annoyed when Sweet Pea joined you.
“What can I do for you Sweet Pea.”
“Just giving some friendly advice, you might want to stay away from Mantle. He’s not the nicest person, very judgy.
You rolled your eyes. “Why do you care?”
“Look I know we aren’t the best of friends, but we have… well you know, so I’m just trying to look out for you, make sure you don’t get burned by a mutt.”
“I’ll be fine Sweet Pea. I can handle myself.”
Sweet Pea scoffed as he got up walking away, not much longer both Moose and Reggie were joining you.
“So Y/N you new to town?”
“Lived in the town of pep my whole life. Just on the Southside.”
“You must be the only good thing about the Southside.” Reggie flirted.
“Lots of good people are from there, just are never given a chance, always judged too early.”
The bell rang giving you about 5 minutes to get to your next class. “Can I walk you to class?”
You smiled at Reggie letting him lead you to your classes for the remainder of your first day. He was cute to look at but he did call the Serpents trash, what would he think when he found out who you were. Yeah you might not be one but you were associated, hopefully you could be the one to open his eyes about the Southside, for now you were just glad you had made a few friends.
-
You walked into the house of the dead happier than you left it and your brother took notice.
“How was school Y/N/N?”
You flashed him a smile, “It was good, the teachers actually care so I’m learning for once, I made some friends.”
“Serpents bother you?” Malachai cut you off.
You rolled your eyes. “As always they left me alone. I tell you all the time Mal they pretend I don’t exist they are there to learn to you know, besides they can’t be that bad”
Malachai studied you then, you had never been one to talk of the Serpents, always kept to yourself in school, was Riverdale High going to change you? He needed things to stay the same, you were the most important thing in his life he’d be damned if he let something happen to you. He needed to find a way to get information of who these new friends were and quickly.
“Just stay away from them.”
You rolled your eyes once more as you swung your bag over your shoulder and headed to your room. You should have known this was how he would react. Always treated you like you would break at any given moment. This year was going to be different, yeah this year you were going to live how you wanted to, what’s the worst thing that could happen?
Hi! I love your writing so I was just wondering if you could do one where Kai is dating The Salvatores sister and neither of them approve
Family. KAI PARKER
Hi! Omg i love you & hearing about people’s opinions on my writing so this really made my day💛
Tumblr media
The position you were in right now, of course not literally, was definitely one you didn’t want to be. You wished your brothers would be able to give you more freedom to at least pick who you wanted to date. But no, you were forbidden from dating your boyfriend. At every available moment Damon and Stefan made it now that they were against yours and Kai’s relationships.
Okay so yes Kai has done some bad stuff but wouldn’t you if you practically neglected your whole childhood because you were different? You know you would. And to be fair, if the whole save Elena group would have just let Kai kill his coven then they would have never had any problems. But no, it’s never their fault.
You were in the prison world alongside Damon and Bonnie and that’s how you met Kai. Kai never laid a finger on you, ever. You were curious at first but he simply just smirked at you and said, ‘well i’ve never seen a girl as pretty not only in 18 years, but my whole life.’ To say your face heated up would be an understatement.
You never thought now, months later, you would be here arguing with your brothers. “You can’t be with him he’s a murderer, a sociopath.” Damon’s voice rang through the boarding house and you had to wince at how loud he was being. “What don’t you get?”
“Don’t try to make him look like a monster! We are all monsters in someone’s story!” Now this seemed to shut up your brothers, as if they had just been hit with the hard truth they had never heard before. You could tell it impacted Stefan more by the way he bowed his head down and looked at his shoes with a grim expression.
“I may be old but i’ve never got to experience love. Real true love.” You couldn’t help the tears that filled up your eyes. As soon as one dropped you harshly wiped it away, refusing to show them any sort of weakness. “And that’s because i’ve always been running around after you two. So if anything, you owe me this.”
Not being able to stand both of their presences anymore, you left. You made sure to slam the door on the way out though.
—————
The door of the shared apartment caught Kai’s attention. You felt as if you were dragging your body along as you entered. But when you saw Kai sat down in the chair by the desk, you immediately smiled.
“What did they say this time?” Kai knew the drill. You’d wake up one morning, convince yourself maybe they’d be different today, go see your brothers and then get hate and argued against for your relationship. Each time it happened you managed to accept that maybe they would never accept you and Kai.
Sighing, you threw your keys onto the small coffee table. “The usual.”
Kai looked down before speaking again, only this time more quiet and you could almost hear the insecurity in his voice. “I don’t want your relationship with the only family you have left to be ruined because of me.”
Now, Kai didn’t care for your brothers but he certainly didn’t want you feeling down or upset so he was willing to try to make an effort. It was just a shame your brothers couldn’t do the same.
You walked over to the chair he was sat on and placed the palms of your hands on his cheeks, “Hey, you’re my family too. Don’t forget that.”
Placing a soft kiss to his lips you pulled away and hugged him into your chest. His hands wrapped around your waist whilst you cradle his head to your chest and slowly stroked his back with the other.
Our Son
Tumblr media
Request: Yes or No
"You'll be staying with your mother for the rest of the summer." FP said, glancing at (Y/N) stomach. She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.
"It's a baby, not a demon."
"Might as well be a demon if that psycho's the dad." Jughead grumbled.
"Fuck off, Jughead." (Y/N) sneered. FP sighed, rubbing his forehead.
"Come on, (N/N)."
(Y/N) ran a hand through her son's black curls. She smiled, pressing a kiss to his forehead. Ezra yawned, looking up at her.
"Morning, Ma." Ezra mumbled, rubbing his (E/C) eyes.
"Hey, baby." (Y/N) sat up. Erza slid out of bed, going to the bathroom.
"(Y/N)?" The young woman looked up when Jughead entered.
"Malachai knows your back. He wants to see you or else he'll keep having his boys pick fights with us." Jughead said. (Y/N) glanced at Ezra when he walked over, handing her his toothbrush and paste. (Y/N) helped him put the rest of the paste on the toothbrush.
"Does he know about...?" She motioned towards her son. Jughead shook his head. (Y/N) stood, grabbing her jacket and putting it on.
"Ezra, come, we're gonna go meet someone." (Y/N) said. The toddler tilted his head as (Y/N) got some clothes for him. (Y/N) made some toast for Ezra, going with Jughead.
Malachai still looked the same just with longer curls. His eyes softened upon seeing his ex. He curiously eyed Ezra.
"Why'd you bring a kid?" Penny asked. (Y/N) stepped forward, heart racing. Ezra occupied himself with his mother's dog tags.
"He's my son." She replied. Malachai furrowed his brows.
"He's... Our son, Malachai." (Y/N) said softly. Malachai faltered, realization flashing in his eyes. He dropped his bat and approached them. Ezra looked at him curiously, glancing at his mom.
"He's mine?" Malachai whispered-asked. (Y/N) nodded.
"This is your daddy, Ezra." I snorted when I wrote that (Y/N) said. Ezra blinked, looking at Malachai. He eyed him, not sure what the say or do.
"Okay." He mumbled. (Y/N) pressed a kiss to his temple.
"They're staying with me." Malachai said, looking at Jughead. (Y/N) looked at her brother, stopping him from saying anything.
"Don't mess with other Serpents and I'll go." (Y/N) said. Malachai huffed but nodded.
"Deal." He backed up, going back to the other Ghoulies. (Y/N) followed with Ezra.
"I promise I'll be a good father." Malachai said, gently touching Ezra's cheek. (Y/N) smiled, kissing him.
"I know you will, Mal." Ezra yawned, nuzzling against his mother. Jughead sighed, knowing his father was gonna be pissed.
"Mom!" (Y/N) looked away from the fridge as Ezra stomped into the room.
"Tell dad that Pietro is better than Wally West." He crossed his arms as Malachai entered the room, crossing his arms as well. They looked exactly alike. (Y/N) snorted, chuckling. She grabbed a water bottle, closing the fridge.
"I prefer Wanda and Artemis over both of them." Her two boys huffed and went back into the livingroom. (Y/N) shook her head, giggling softly. Ezra looked and acted more and more like Malachai with each passing day. (Y/N) already knew her son would grow to be as attractive as his dad.
Forever Forbidden. (Malachai x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: When Y/N goes to help a friend, she ends up being kidnapped by the infamous Ghoulies.
Warnings ~ None
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Serpents and Ghoulies are supposed to be enemies. That’s how it has been from day one. It’s basically a right of passage. My brother Sweet Pea has always had strong opinions, especially about Ghoulies.
Many rumours circulate around their gang. However I choose not to believe them. Words can become twisted. I learnt that a long time ago.
“Fangs being released has started a riot.”
Pulling on my Serpent jacket, I grab my bag. Archie text me earlier asking for helping, apparently Reggie has disappeared. Despite being a Serpent, I have a great friendship with the Bulldogs. Especially Archie.
“I’m heading home. It’s been a rough day.” I lie, if I told my brother about my plan. He would never let me leave!
Sometimes coming from the Southside has its benefits. You know all the shortcuts and alleys, it’s quite easy to find people.
Heading towards Sunnyside Trailer Park, I find myself face to face with a pack of Ghoulies. Glancing behind me, I realise that I’m surrounded. Just my luck.
“What do we have here? A Serpent. If I’m correct you’re Sweet Pea’s sister. Y/N.” One of them says, as they close in on me.
I debate pulling out my knife but that would only make things worse. Not to mention I’m surrounded ten to one.
“Malachai will be pleased with you.”
My breathing picks up slightly as fear sets in. With my hands bound behind my back, I’m forced towards Ghoulie territory. The House Of The Dead. That’s the Ghoulie hangout.
It’s dark inside, much like the Wyrm. However candles light up the insides with an eerie glow. Looking to my right I can see several Ghoulie’s in the process of creating Jingle Jangle.
“Ah Y/N, so glad you could join us.” Malachai exclaims, as I’m thrown onto the sofa.
Pulling myself up, I glare at the leader. His hair is dark and curly, he’s tanned with hollow brown eyes. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t find him attractive.
“Your little friend Jughead caused shit for us. So now it’s war.”
I frown. This isn’t good. The Serpents aren’t exactly at their strongest right now, especially with a serial killer on the loose.
“Malachai! I’m waiting for blood shed!” A voice shouts, as footsteps approach us.
My brow furrows as I look up at the scruffy blonde woman. Penny Peabody. Of course, she’s working with the Ghoulies. Why wouldn’t she be?
“Y/N, long time no see.”
Her mouth curls into an evil smile, staring at me. I haven’t seen Penny since she tried to rejoin the Serpents. I’m guessing she’s here for Jughead. After all, what he did to her was wrong.
“Oh Penny, I have missed you so much.”
My voice is laced with sarcasm and she senses that straight away. Pulling out her knife she moves insanely quick. The sharp edge held under my chin.
“Where’s your tattoo then Y/N?”
Glaring at her, I know I have to answer. I don’t really have a choice at the moment. After all I’d rather not die tonight.
“My hip.”
I spit out the words, making my hatred towards her blatantly obvious. Penny hauls me up, then pulls the edge of my leather skirt down so that my tattoo is clearly visible.
Malachai watches closely, almost as though he’s making sure Penny doesn’t do anything. So when she puts the knife to my skin, he snaps.
I’m pushed backwards, so that I land on the sofa. Penny seems to be collapsed on the floor. Knife in hand, blood trickles from her head. Malachai stands over her, gripping a rather large hammer.
“Did you just kill Penny?”
The question is stupid, when I obviously know the answer. Malachai seems to be breathing heavily, dropping the blood stained hammer to the floor.
He approaches me slowly, untying my hands. On instinct I move away from him, but when I see the small smile on his face I know that I’ve got no reason to be scared.
We sit in silence for a moment, neither of us knowing what to say or do. I’m not even sure whether I should leave or not. So instead we both sit and stare at the dead body in front of us.
“I didn’t kill her on purpose.”
Looking over to him I can see the guilt in his eyes. Something I’ve never seen in anybody before let alone a Ghoulie. Cautiously I take his hand, unsure whether I’m pushing a boundary.
“I couldn’t let her hurt you.”
Smiling, I trace patterns on the palm of his hand with my thumb. He tilts my face to look at his and I can see the pure emotions on his face. The emotions that are usually masked by his terrifying bravado.
Leaning my head closer, I press my lips to his. Even I’m shocked by my actions as I remember that we’re supposed to be enemies. However when he runs his hands through my hair, I can’t seem to bring myself to pull away.
“My brother can never know about this.”
My voice is quiet, barely louder than a whisper. Yet he hears me perfectly. All I can hear is the sound of my heart beating as he pulls me onto his lap.
“You’re not too bad, for a Serpent.” He tells me, stroking my cheek.
I laugh quietly, wrapping my arms around his neck. For the first time in a long while I feel happy. I can forget about everything going on, about the black hood and Hiram Lodge. I can forget about Fangs being shot and the war between the Southside and Northside.
“You’re not too bad either, for a Ghoulie.”
The sounds of our laughter echoes around the empty room. I know this is forbidden, but how can something so wrong feel so good? It doesn’t make any logical sense!
So as I sit on the tall Ghoulie’s lap, one leg either side of him, I can’t help but feel like this is the start of something new. The start of something thrilling. With that I firmly press my lips to his once again, and the rest of the night is forgotten.
She’s Family
Kai Parker X Daughter!Reader Klaus Mikaelson X Adoptive Daughter!Reader
Word Count: 2278
Requested: @klausisahooottriiieee
Request: Hii! I am a huge fan of your blog and I was wondering if you could make this one. It's about Kai's biological daughter named Evelyn and when only he got out of the prison world, he learned about her. He did a research and he found that she is now Klaus's adopted daughter who he loves and adores very much. Hope is seventeen while Evelyn (Evie) is three years old. Btw there is peace in New Orleans. You could show about Klaus/Evie moments, Kai/Evie (she is shy with him) and Klaus/Kai/Evie. Evelyn is a truly sweetheart.
A/N: Still wrote it as a reader fic so that you can put in any name that you want, but the name is only mentioned once so doesn’t really change too much.
(Y/M/N) - Your Mother’s Name
Tumblr media
Hope had heard the teacher talking about you while she was at school, she heard the way that they talked about you, it was the same way that they used to talk about her and her father, they didn't want you there, they wanted to keep an eye on you and that was it, they had assumed that you were going to be a problem even though you had only just been born. Unfortunately for you, your mother had died in childbirth and that left you without a family because your father Kai Parker was trapped in the prison world. Hope decided that she knew a way that she could help you, she knew that you needed to be with people that wouldn't be scared of you or suppressing you from what she had heard about your father you were going to be strong.
Hope was home for the holidays when she decided to approach her family about her idea "hey Dad have you ever thought about me having a sister?" She asked. "Where is this coming from?" He asked. "I just wondered." She answered with a shrug and he raised an eyebrow, he'd been able to read her from the moment that he became her full-time father and he knew that there was something else going on in her mind. "I've never thought about it, you were enough work." He answered, taking a sip of the drink in his hand "now are you going to tell me why you asked this?" "Alright, fine." She sighed. "At school, I heard Alaric talking about someone, there was a baby that was just born." Hope started to explain. "And you expect me to take this baby?" Klaus asked with a small smirk on his face. "No Dad, I thought that maybe you could adopt her, they are all afraid of her because of who her Dad is and her mum is dead now." She explained, her voice took on a pleading tone and he looked at her. "Who is her father?" Klaus asked. "Malachai Parker," Hope answered, the moment that the name left her mouth, Klaus knew that she was right, he knew that they would all be afraid of you because of where you had come from and with Alaric being the one in charge of your schooling there would be a lot that he would keep from you. "And where is she now?" Klaus asked. "She's still at the hospital, apparently she'll be handed to the adoption agency soon," Hope answered and he nodded. "So does that mean that we are going to adopt her?" "We aren't going to do anything." He mumbled before waving her away "give me some time, I will let you know what I decide."
Ultimately Klaus decided that he wasn't going to let them stifle would be natural talent because of their fear, everyone in Mystic Falls was too quick to judge and while he had never thought about having another kid, he was not against it and if he didn't take you in now, he was going to end up doing it later when you started going to school with Hope. Klaus attempting to get a hold of you brought attention to him and the rest of Mystic Falls was in an uproar about it that was why Caroline was in the courtyard of his house. "Is there something I can help you with, Love?" Klaus asked, leaning against the banister of the first story. "What are you doing?" Caroline asked, raising an eyebrow. "Right now, I'm getting ready to take my daughter shopping." He answered. "You know that's not what I mean?" Caroline glared. "Why are you trying to adopt her, how do you know about her?" "Hope informed me of something that she heard you all talking about and she told me about how she always wanted a little sister," Klaus answered. "You expect me to believe that's the only reason that you're doing this?" Caroline asked. "When was the last time that I involved myself with you and yours?" He answered her question with one of his own. "I have finally made a safe home from me and my family, but maybe your ability to think the worst of me is the reason that I'm taking her from you." "I didn't-" "You can't help it but that's the problem, that child deserves a chance like anyone else, no matter her parents and you all can't seem to separate her from her father." Klaus explained, "you look at the baby like a threat and she hasn't even met the man that gave her that name." "Klaus-" "My decision to adopt her has nothing to do with you or your friends." He admitted as Hope appeared at the stairs "now if you'll excuse me."
The day that Klaus came home with you, all the Mikaelsons were so happy to have you in the house but they could all see that you were going to be attached to Klaus from here on out. None of them had known your mother so they had no idea what they were to expect but they knew that you could very well be able to use magic. "Niklaus, are you sure that this is the right thing to do?" Elijah asked, "we've just managed to get a family back together, everyone is happy and safe." "Yes, the perfect environment for a child." He mumbled as he ran a gentle finger down your cheek. "And if someone comes for her?" Elijah asked. "No one will come for her, they'll be happy to be rid of her." Klaus dismissed him "but if they ever did, I'd protect her with my life, she is family now." "Mmm." Elijah hummed "I can't deny that."
It was three years later that Kai managed to get out of the Prison World and while he had revenge on his mind he remembered that he had left someone behind, he remembered her as vividly as the betrayal of his family. Kai knocked on the door of your old apartment and the face that greeted him was not yours "Tell me where the previous owner is." He compelled the woman in front of him. "She died just over 2 years ago, they said that she died in childbirth." She answered. "Childbirth?" He asked and the woman nodded. "Where is the child?" He asked. "I don't know, she had no parents so they probably put her up for adoption," Kai growled as he walked away from the door, there was no way that they just let his child go, there was only one way that he was going to find her.
Kai walked into the school whistling a tune, eyes traveling over him for a second before moving away, that is until he saw a face that he recognised "Kai what are you doing here?" Alaric asked, taking up a defensive position in front of the few kids that had decided to stay at the school during the holidays. "Alaric nice to see you," Kai smirked as he leaned against the wall next to him. "So I went to see (Y/M/N). Imagine my surprise when I find out that she's dead." "That had nothing to do with me." He said quickly. "Really? Well, I'd be inclined to believe you if you showed me that baby that she was supposed to have had." Kai smirked, "or..." He disappeared from where he was standing wrapping his hand around Josie's throat "I start killing kids one by one." "Kai stop!" Alaric yelled. "Tell me where she is," He ordered as he tightened his grip around Josie's throat. "Dad, don't tell him." Josie managed to say. "Klaus Mikaelson adopted her, last time I heard she was in New Orleans! Please let her go." Lizzie spoke up. "New Orleans?" He asked. "Well then it looks like we're going on a family road trip, I hope you're not lying."
Klaus could hear you laughing in the kitchen, he was sure that you and Hope were in there making breakfast, he was sure that he had heard Elijah's low mumbling too. When he walked into the room, he saw Elijah sitting there with a newspaper and Hope had you in a chair at the table helping you eat your food. He could tell that you had gotten yourself dressed this morning because your top was on wonky. "What do we have here?" Klaus asked as you looked over at him and smiled. "Nik!" You cheered as you reached up towards him, he walked over and pressed a kiss to the top of your head as he straightened your top. "Finish your food and then we can wa-" "Mikaelsons!" You all heard the yell but you were the only one that didn't understand the implication. "Hope, stay with her, keep her safe and quiet," Klaus ordered as he walked out to the courtyard where Rebekah had Kai pressed into the table next to Kol whose feet were kicked up. "So do you want to tell us why you want to see our brother?" Kol asked, taking a bite out of the apple that he had in his hand. "Your brother has something of mine that I would like back," Kai answered, trying to pull himself free but that only caused Rebekah to tighten her grip. "She's not a possession, she's your daughter," Klaus said as he knocked Kol's feet off the table. "And I assume up until this day you didn't even know that she existed." "That doesn't matter." Kai dismissed him and Klais gestured for Rebekah to let him go as he sat down himself. "So tell me what are you here for?" Klaus asked. "I want to see her," Kai answered. "And after?" Elijah asked, taking his place standing behind Klaus. "After... I guess she'll come with me." He answered, they all turned to him, and he could see the disapproval on all their faces, they all seemed quite attached to you. "With all the enemies you have, there is no way that she would be safe," Rebekah argued. "I'm strong enough to keep her safe," Kai answered. "What do you even want her for, you don't know and you don't feel any allegiance to her," Klaus said. "I-" "You want to prove a point." Klaus interrupted him "show them that they can't take anything from you." "She's the only family I have left." Kai finally admitted. "Then keep her safe," Elijah ordered. "Why don't we just ask her?" Kol suggested. "Ask her?" Klaus asked. "She's smart for a toddler, she'll make the right decision, we'll all have to respect the choice that she makes." Kol shrugged. "Hope bring her in," Klaus ordered, his voice didn't raise as he waited to see both his daughters walk into the room, he stood from where he was sitting meeting you halfway and picking you up. "Okay?" You asked. "I'm okay," Klaus answered with a soft smile as he looked over at Kai. "Who is that?" You asked as you pointed at Kai. "That's your Dad," Klaus answered. "You, Dad." You frowned as you looked at Kai. "No, I look after you when Dad is away," Klaus answered, he moved closer to Kai but his hands tightened around you. "Are you going to say hello?" "Hello." You said quickly before burying your face in Klaus' neck. "Hi," Kai said softly, slightly stunned because you looked just like your mother, the smile that took over your face and the way you loop your hands into Klaus' shirt. "What's your name?" "(Y/N)." You answered though it was muffled because you didn't look up this time. "She looks just like her," Kai mumbled. "Her mother?" Hope asked as came to stand next to her father. "Mmm." Kai hummed, taking his phone out of his back pocket and turning the phone so that they could all see the lock screen, a picture of a woman who looked just like you, laughing at something. "If I had been there, I could have saved her." "There's no point in theorizing, we spent 1000s of years doing the same and it got us nowhere," Elijah said, "but I assume that she would want her daughter to be safe." "I get it. She's safer here with you." He nodded. "I'll make peace with my enemies or get rid of them and then I'll be able to be here for her." "Then go make peace with them." Klaus dismissed him and you lifted your head again to look at him. "Where are you going?" You asked. "I'll be back, I just have to take care of a few more things before I can stay with you." He promised as he took his necklace off and put it around your neck "your mum gave me this when we had to be apart and promised that this was a way that she could always find me." He said softly. "Did it work?" You asked. "Every time." He smiled. "So I'll find you once I finish my work okay?" "Okay." You nodded as you hid away again. "Keep her safe," Kai ordered. "Go." Klaus jutted his head towards the door "do not bring your trouble back here!" "Do you think that he will come back?" Elijah asked. "I do." Klaus nodded. "As do I but I worry that he's still grieving and the only thing that keeps him here is her connection to her mother." Elijah sighed. "We'll be here no matter what... She'll always have us." Klaus said as he watched the exit Kai and left through. "Like I said, she's family now."
Being able to work on Riverdale was a dream come true! I loved season one more than anything in the world and I knew I had to try and get on season two. My agent got me an audition to be Malachai’s younger sister, the Ghoulie Princess, and Sweet Pea’s love interest. I was so excited and more than ready to rock this audition!
I went to the audition and sat in the room with a bunch of other short girls. All of them had different colored hair and a few of them had piercings. I had my ears pierced and my lip pierced. After two hours of waiting there were only a few girls left.
“Y/N Y/L/N.” Lyndsey Baldasare called into the room. I got up and followed her into the audition room. I stood in the middle of the room and faced the table where Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Greg Berlanti, Jason Moore, David Rapaport, and Lyndsey Baldasare sat.
“Okay, Y/N Y/L/N. You are going to be reading for the part of Alex, or as her nickname Minxy.” Roberto said.
“Yes sir.” I said with a smile.
“No need to be so formal. Anyway, Let’s have you read.” He said with a smile. I nodded and got into character.
“Mal, can you just tell me why we’re working with the Lodges?” I asked.
“Alex, just trust me.” Roberto read the next line.
“Of course I trust you, but I don’t trust that rich prick.” I said back.
“I know but you just have to trust me okay?” Roberto said.
“Fine. But there’s no way I’m going to any meetings.” I said crossing my arms.
“Alex, you have to! You’re my second hand, the Ghoulie Princess, the younger Ghoulies will follow you if you go along with everything!” He said and I rolled my eyes.
“So you just want me to blindly follow?” I asked.
“If you could that’d be great.” Roberto said. I scoffed and shook my eyes.
“Are you kidding me?” I asked.
“Alex, you know I won’t let anything happen to you.” He said and I sighed.
“You trust me right?” He asked.
“Yeah…” I sighed.
“That was great.” Roberto said with a smile. He looked over at the others and they started whispering. I stood up straight and waited patiently.
“Could you wait here for a second?” Lyndsey Baldasare asked and I nodded. They all got up and left. I stood in the room alone and I decided it was a good time to check my phone. My best friend Y/B/F/N texted me and asked how the audition was. I texted her back telling her that it wasn’t over yet. The door opened again and I quickly put my phone away. I looked up and saw Roberto and Lyndsey had only returned along with Jordan Connor. I smiled and tried to hide my excitement. I had a huge crush on him, but being a professional I knew I couldn’t act on those feeling right away. I needed to keep things professional right now until we got to know each other better.
“Y/N, this is Jordan. We would like you to read a scene with him.” Roberto said and my eyes widened a bit, they must have liked my audition.
“Okay.” I said and he handed me a script. Jordan was holding one and he walked over to me. He held out his hand and I took it.
“Nice to meet you.” He said with a smile
“You too.” I smiled back. Roberto and Lyndsey sat down at the table. Jordan and I stood across from each other and smiled. I looked down at the script and saw Jordan had the first line.
“Why the hell are you coming to me?” He asked with an annoyed tone.
“Because, my brother is crazy. I really need to be around someone that doesn’t like me.” I said.
“What makes you think I don’t like you Minxy?” He asked.
“Uh, I’m a Ghoulie, the Ghoulie Princess? You’re a Serpent? I figured it was mutual.” I said with a shrug. Jordan moved closer to me and brushed some hair out of my face. His hand rested on my cheek and he smirked.
“So you’re saying you don’t like me?” He asked and I looked at him with wide eyes.
“Sweet Pea…” I said in a breathy voice.
“Admit it Princess, you are head over heels for me.” He smirked.
“W-what?” I stuttered and he grabbed my waist with his other hand.
“Come on, I’ve seen you staring at me in class when you thought I wasn’t looking.” He said, his warm breath on my face. I stared at him and bit my lip. Once I realised what was happening I pulled away and turned around.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about Sweets.” I said and crossed my arms. He chuckled.
“Whatever you say Minxy.” I could hear the smirk in his voice and then someone clapped.
“That was perfect! Lyndsey send everyone else home, we’ve found our Alex!” Roberto said and she nodded. She left the room and Jordan and I looked at him.
“Y/N, you’re amazing and just what we’re looking for. Would you be able to start tomorrow?” He asked and I smiled widely.
“Yes, of course! Thank you.” I said and Roberto shook my hand.
“Great, we’ll see you tomorrow.” He said with a smile and walked out. I walked over to grab my bag that was placed off to the side.
“Looks like we’ll be working together.” Jordan said and I turned around with a smile.
“Looks like it.” I smiled back.
“How about I show you around the set and everything so that way you know the place before tomorrow?” He asked and I nodded.
“That’d be great actually.” I said and Jordan motioned for me to follow him. I did and he lead me to the set. He showed me around and we got to know each other some more. Jordan was better than I could ever imagine. He was so sweet and kind and so funny. We had run into Drew, Vanessa, and Madelaine. Jordan introduced me and they were also very kind. Vanessa and Madelaine wanted to take me away from Jordan to get to know me better but Jordan grabbed my hand and started running.
“Get your own newbie!” He shouted over his shoulder and I laughed. Jordan continued to show me around the set and he introduced me to everyone else. Everyone was so nice and I couldn’t wait to start work tomorrow. Jordan finished showing me everything and then he walked me to my car.
“Wow, I’ve never been so excited about a job in my life.” I said with a laugh.
“Yeah, you’ll fit right in here.” He said with a laugh.
“I hope so.” I said with a smile.
“You will, don’t worry.” He said returning the smile.
“Well, I’ll see you tomorrow?” I asked and Jordan nodded.
“Yeah, can’t wait.” He said. We said our goodbyes and he walked back to set. I got in my car and and drove off to my apartment.
I walked inside and my best friend attacked me with hugs. I laughed and pushed her/him off me. he/she stood there with a huge smile on his/her face.
“So? How’d it go?” He/She asked.
“You are looking at the new cast member of Riverdale!” I said and he/she squealed with happiness.
“Oh my god! My best friend is going to be famous!” He/She shouted.
“Relax, God.” I said laughing and rolling my eyes.
“So, did you meet your dream boat?” He/She asked and I blushed.
“They had me do a scene with him.” I said as I sat down.
“No way Y/N/N!” He/She shouted.
“Yeah, and oh my God! He’s even better than I ever could have imagined!” I said and laid down on the couch.
“Well you’ve got it worse than I thought.” He/She said with a smirk.
“What can I say? He’s amazing.” I said with a happy sigh.
A few months later
I’ve been working on Riverdale for a couple of months now and I was the best job in the world. Jordan and I have gotten closer, very close actually. Jordan had asked me on a date a month and a half after I started working here. I, of course, said yes and we hit it off very well. Drew and Vanessa would make fun of him for being so soft and touchy whenever I was around. Now I didn’t totally believe in the idea of soulmates but man, did it feel like we were made for each other. I loved him more than anything in the world and he loved me.Today we were filming a scene where Alex and Sweet Pea were talking about their relationship and how they weren’t sure if they could keep hiding it from everyone. That they could fake hating each other in front of everyone.
“‘And action!” The director called.
“Sweets I don’t know if I can keep this up! My brother is catching on that I’m not hanging out with Ghoulies…” I said with a sigh.
“I know…Toni, Fangs, and Jughead are suspicious of something too…” He said running his hands threw his hair.
“Maybe we should just stop trying…We both know world war three will break out if anyone finds out, so why should we risk everything?” I said a few tears blurred my vision. Sweet Pea cam up to me and he grabbed my face.
“We can’t just give up. Mixy come on.” He said, his voice wavering a bit.
“Sweets, we knew going into this that everything could implode on us! We’re getting close to that happening and I can’t risk Mal killing you!” I said letting my tears fall.
“Alex…I can’t lose you…I love you.” He said and I looked up at him with wide eyes. We never said I love you to each other yet…
“W-what?” I asked in shock.
“I love you Alex and I don’t care if anyone finds out. I love you and I can’t lose you!” He said pulling me close to him. I looked up at him and he placed his large hand on my cheek.
“I love you too…” I confessed as I looked into his chocolate brown eye. He leaned down and placed his lips on mine. The kiss was sweet but salty because of the tears we were both shedding.
“Cut!” The director shouted and we pulled away.
“That was perfect you two!” He said coming up to us with a smile.
“Alright, well that’s it for today.” He said and we nodded. The two of us left and took off our character’s outfits and went to hair and makeup to get everything off. I had to dye my hair black and purple for the role but honestly it made me look so much cooler than I actually am and Jordan thought it suited me. We were walking to my car hand in hand with small smiles on our faces.
“You know, even though those words were in the script, I meant every one of them.” Jordan said as I went to open the car door.
“Huh?” I asked confused.
“Y/N, I love you and I could never lose you.” He said and my heart warmed.
“Jordan, I love you too. You’ll never lose me. I love you way too much.” I said with a small giggle and his smile grew. He grabbed my waist and place his lips on mine.
“I’d never let you go.” He said when we pulled away.
“I would never go.” I smiled.
The betrayed and the heretic
Character: Malachai “Kai” Parker x male reader
Universe: Vampire Dairies
Warnings: None
A day like another was the turning point in your life. You always had lived at the edge of everything. Almost perfect in school, almost popular, almost able to do magic.
Instead, whenever you just scraped by at anything, it became worse. The little magic you had as a child, vanished into the air. Your sister, which was the strongest of your bloodline since it had begun, seemingly took all the magic your family had to offer, at her birth. She was three years older than you and made your life a living hell.
She discredited you in school. Destroyed all relationships you ever had. Just so she could get on top, just as she had done with her magic.
And your parents and the rest of your covenant just stood at the sidelines, watching everything happening, cheering your sister on. You tried to run away, but they always found you again. When you turned eighteen, you disowned your entire family and covenant and moved far away from these narcissistic people.
For a while, you searched the country for other witches, vampires, or werewolves. But you actually met something else first. A fairy, so friendly and good, that it made you feel warm on the inside.
He told you all about time and his home place. It sounded wonderful. Before he left you to get reunited with the love of his life, a very old vampire, he gave you a gift. A stone with a strange rune on it, it shimmered in the sunlight and gave you a shining light in the night.
After that, you never heard from him again, even though you asked him to visit you someday. But you guessed that he was way too happy with his love, to come to you. Which you could understand, he seemed just so genuinely nice.
You never forget about him, alone because of his little gift, that had saved your life more times than you can count.
Everything went down this normal day, you just had arrived in a small town, after searching further for others. You visited a restaurant, where the energy of the supernatural was especially strong. It was heavy in the air.
You had sat down, and opened your computer to do some work for your university, as out of nowhere someone sat themselves on the other side of your table. As you looked over your computer, you saw most likely the most handsome man you had ever laid eyes upon.
He had brain short hair, dreamy blue-grey eyes, and a smile, that could destroy every resolution you ever had.
„Can-Can I do something for you?“, you asked but not without stuttering. His flirtatious smile changed into a sinister one at his question.
„Yeah, you can give me your magic,“ he told you darkly.
You were confused at his words, but as he touched you, nothing came. The confusion you had gone over to the unwon man, in front of you.
„What?“, he asked almost disturbed. „But you should’ve had tons of magic!“, he whined as he let go of you again. Ready to leave again. This time it was you, that grabbed him. Desperately you looked at him, his eyes annoyed but he still sat down again.
For a moment it was silent between you two. Until you finally remembered where you had seen this man before. „You are Malachi Parker, right?“
„Yes, you heard of me?“, he asked with a smug smile.
You nod before explaining further. „I met your family. Nice people, they told me disturbing things about you. But deep down they love you, even what you did with your siblings. Except for your twin sister, she is a bitch.“
The reserved face he has shown you the second time around, changes into a genuine smile again. „And you still don’t fear me? How stupid of you.“ The laugh he lot go came from deep down. It was warming to hear it. He seemed psychotic but still a human. Even though no one seemed to see it. Not even him.
„Why should I? I don’t have any magic. I’m no other magical creature and I actually would want to ask you out?“, the last part was almost silent. You feared he would say no to your proposal.
Like the fear you had, he laughed. Loudly. It was humiliating. Tears formed themselves in the corners of your eyes.
„You were serious?“, he asked utterly dumbfounded.
At that moment you could only nod, packing up your things and running out of the restaurant. Not without leaving the money on your table for the food, you had ordered, but not gotten at that point.
You drove in your car around the city, until you found yourself on the outskirts, near a walking trail through the woods. Where you had parked and took. After that humiliating moment, you did not want anyone else to see or hear you cry.
Just like everyone else, even love did not want to come to you. As if everything was against you. Walking aimlessly through the woods, you at some point found yourself near a cliff. „It would be the perfect moment, to finally end everything,“ you thought out loud to yourself. „At least my family would be finally happy, that I’m gone.“
„And let them win?“ The sudden voice, made you jump, so much that you actually took a leap over the cliff. Out of sheer panic, you grab onto the dirt floor.
Sneakers stood in front of your hands. As you looked up to them, the handsome stranger from before stood there. As he kneeled in front of you, playing with your finger, he smiled devilishly down at you. „I could help you, with your death. Just loosen up your fingers,“ he proposed, but you could feel that this wasn’t everything. „Or I could help you get back, what was stolen from you. From your family, which are just as narcissistic pricks as my own.“
„What?“, you asked, just as your finger began to weaken their grip on the ground. You never had much upper body strength even though you trained quite often.
„You should decide quickly, you don’t have enough strength left,“ he taunted you jokingly. It made your stomach turn around. For some reason, you liked the way he was.
„Help me,“ you muttered under slight pain, from the grip you had. With just one movement of his hand, you flew up, directly onto the floor a couple of meters away from the cliff itself.
For a while you laid there on your stomach, hurting every bit of your body. Even though nothing was broken. „Are you still alive?“, the man asked annoyed. You were just so able to turn around and look up at him, to give him a thumbs up. Just for him to pull you into a standing position again.
„Do you still want to go out with me?“, his face blank like a white sheet of paper. Intimidating you nod your head. „Great, because I’m dying from hunger!“
Without any second thought, he grabbed your hand, pulling you with him. You were so overwhelmed, that you just followed him out of the forest and away from the cliff, which could’ve saved you a lot of hardship. But with this man at your side and the secrets he could help you uncover, you believed that everything would turn around in your favor.
a/n: this not an 'x reader' fic, however, i may write a separate one-shot where he does talk about this stuff with her, and actually gets some real comfort from a person he's grown to trust.
also, i don't know why i wrote this. i don't know why i'm posting it, either. but i do feel like writing and reading this kind of fiction has helped me with my own traumas, in some way. i don't understand it, but as long as it's recognized as fiction, i don't think it's wrong to engage with it. if it bothers anyone, i can take it down, or move the page break to the top, before the warnings.
On the night of his mother’s death, Kai had never felt so numb.
He was crowded in a room with his father and seven siblings, all of them sobbing and sneezing as they huddled around her body, willing her back from the hands of death, but he felt numb. Nothing. No sadness, no joy, no emotion at all. He stared at her, mind completely void, as he tried to think up a good memory of the woman, as prompted by his father to his siblings.
“Everyone share your favorite memory with her,” he said in between sobs. The children immediately started spilling out their hearts. Snot dribbled from their noses and dripped down to the carpet. The oldest two were dry heaving in an attempt to catch their breaths, and the youngest were crying. His twin sister held one, while his father held the other, but nothing helped. “Malachai?” His father turned to him, “your turn to share something.”
Kai had nothing. When he opened his mouth, his tongue tripped over the first word - the I, in ‘I don’t know’.
“Malachai?” He asked again, nostrils beginning to flare. If Kai didn’t say something soon, he knew what would happen. But when he tried to speak, nothing would come out. “Would you give us a moment?’” He addressed his children.
Joshua took his eldest son by the hand then, gripping tightly, and dragged him to the garage. There, he slapped him across the face, pushed him up against the wall, and hit him in the stomach. Everything he needed to say, he said in his actions, and that was enough. Kai had grown used to his father communicating with his fists.
“Twenty-four hours,” he spat, wetness hitting Kai’s cheek. The boy wasted no time getting up and heading to his room, where he’d be for the next day. Only this time, he wondered what it would be like without his mother.
---
Madeline never had the same relationship with her firstborn son as she did her first daughter. They were twins, and expected to be loved the same, though that quickly proved not the case as they grew older.
The change started around the time they turned four. At this time, his sister, Josette had begun to develop her magic, but Kai was never able. First impressions were that Kai was simply behind his sister in his development, but soon, whispers of something more sinister were born.
At age six, the coven’s deepest fear was confirmed as true: Kai was a siphon, and could not produce magic himself. Then, like a black sheep, he was casted out from his family. His sister could not play with him, his coven could not give him affection, his own mother was not allowed to touch him. They feared he’d steal their magic and hurt them in the process, and so contact became forbidden.
Madeline cried when told she could not reach for the child she bore. Her own flesh and blood, yet if she touched him, he could cause her harm. Her relationship with him became an obsession. She would cast him aside like the rest of the coven, but when given even a second alone, she’d return to him, coddling him with affection. She craved closeness she could not give, and her desires made her spiral out of control.
Malachai was eight when his mother’s attention became one of his greatest threats. What happened was something he didn’t understand until much later in life, a sinking feeling in the soul as the memory resurfaces. Buried deep to protect himself and only remembered when he came across an old story she used to tell him to lull him to sleep.
Joshua would sit beside her as she’d read the story of Peter Pan, and she wouldn’t dare to brush the hair from his face. She wouldn’t kiss him goodnight, nor would she tuck the blanket up to his chin. She put her son to bed, and then she and her husband would leave the room.
But on nights where Joshua had meetings with the coven leaders, and Madeline would stay home with her three children, she would visit him in the night. The woman would creak the door open very quietly and check to see if the boy was awake. Usually, he’d be fast asleep. Madeline would then crawl up next to him on the bed and trace her fingertips along his blanket. If Malachai did not stir, she’d slip a hand underneath the sheets and feel for his soft skin. First on his stomach, but her hand always traveled further than a mother’s should. One hand held his waist while the other felt his length, at the time, barely three inches. Her heart swelled with pride - three inches at eight years meant he’d grow much thicker by puberty. Girls would be tripping over their feet to sleep with him, she’d smile to herself.
Sometimes while she was rubbing him, Kai would wake up. He would be confused at her presence in his room, but he’d never question it the way she held a finger to her lips.
“I just missed you, baby boy,” she’d say, “mommy never gets to see her baby anymore.” And Kai, with a deep suspicion that something was wrong, yet never knowing what, didn’t ever ask. It was nice to receive attention from his mother, he had convinced himself.
But by age twelve, it wasn’t such a nice feeling anymore. Madeline snuck into his room whenever possible, her head immediately ducking underneath his blankets. Her wet mouth would wrap around his length, a whole inch larger now, and pleasure him in a way he didn’t understand. If he fought against her, or begged her to let him sleep, she’d shush him and continue without a care. She called these nights her Mommy Time, and if Malachai interrupted, she’d grow inpatient with him. Twice she slapped him across the face before putting her hands back on him. So, he eventually learned to let her have her way.
At fourteen, like most children his age, Kai was a tenacious kid. The more he acted out against his father, the more time he served in punishment. And every time he would be barred from being with his family, his mother would be his only visitor. Kai hated every aspect of his home life. He hated his siblings’ chatter, he hated his father’s hand, he hated his mother’s tongue. Most of his days were spent in his room, by choice or by rule, leaving him to rot through his teenage years.
Ten years had passed from the date he was banned from human contact. Eight had gone by since his mother took it upon herself to break that rule.
Madeline would have other children as the years went by. Year after year, his father would impregnate her, and she’d bear him another. It soon became more unusual to see her not pregnant than carrying. But whether she had just given birth or was still round, she would still come to see him in the night. Sometimes, her breasts would be full and leaking milk, and she would offer him a taste, but Kai would narrow his eyes and shake his head. The woman would shrug and continue her ministrations on his lower body. Kai would squeeze his eyes shut until the sinful pleasure lulled him to sleep.
A few times throughout his teenage years, Kai would ask questions about the rituals. Most of the time, she would refuse to answer, again, with a finger to her lips, but sometimes she’d give him something vague to chew on,
“This is common for boys your age, exploring your body. You’d be learning about this in school if you hadn’t gotten expelled. Since you can’t learn it there, I’m teaching you.”
Another common one would be, “you should be lucky to have someone touching you at all. Your father has forbidden it, and if you are to tell, we’d both be in trouble.”
So Kai never told. Because as much as he feared nights with his mother, he feared days with his father more. He knew, partly, that his mother was right. If she weren’t going to show him attention, he’d never get it again.
Nothing changed at sixteen. Nothing, except for the fact that he’s longer now and produces more. The feeling of his mother’s hand still feels wrong upon his body. Though with nothing to compare it to, nor anyone with whom he could discuss it, he doesn’t.
A couple of times, he’s felt a tension in his stomach not caused by her unlawful touches. Something needy from inside himself. He tries to ignore it, but ignoring it, he learns, only makes it worse. The few times he’s reached for himself, to follow some internal instinct he doesn’t understand, he’s retracted his hands immediately. The trashcan in his bathroom soon finds a new residency beside his bed.
Eighteen isn’t a healthy year for Malachai. He’s skin and bones, and face is a sickly pale color. Old clothes hang off his shoulders, barely fitting his frame. Bruises cover his body, both those visible in their purplish tint, and those invisible, known only in his mind.
His parents don’t seem to notice his decline. If they do, they don’t care. That is, until his little brother, Joey, pokes his arm one time, and looks up to his father. “Malachai doesn’t look so good, daddy.”
Joshua’s eyes go wide at the sight of his younger son touching his eldest. He sweeps him off his feet and scolds Kai, “do better.” Like Kai can control the way he looks when his father more often beats than feeds him.
After that, though, his parents give a little more attention to his appearance. His father makes sure he eats three meals, and his mother applies a salve to the bruises that his clothes don’t hide.
By twenty, he’s back to a normal weight. For the first time in years, he feels a strength accompany him, something he refuses to let slip through his fingers. His mind wants to fight; his body wants to escape. He’s been held down and tormented for twelve years. Twelve years too many, and won’t stand for a single one more.
Twenty, it seems, is a year of change for more than just Kai. The year prior, his mother fell pregnant again, but that time, with twins. When the ultrasound of the unborn fetuses was produced, the coven had a small celebration, as if this was something they’ve been waiting for. Kai, feeling confused, angry, humiliated, and anxious all in one, watched from the window. The longer he stared, the more numb he began to feel.
The twins’ arrival stole a lot of their mother’s attention. They were restless children, always seeming to need something from her. But despite their constant cries, she still made time to visit him in his bed. Fewer nights she’d come, though she demanded from him the same. So he let his mother do as she always had done, but now, instead of squeezing his eyes shut in the midst of the pain, he let his mind run wild. The pain turned to anger - red hot and eating him alive. Revenge carved itself a corner in his head, and hours were spent planning how he’d get it. The more space it took, the less he cared for other things, but Kai didn’t feel it necessary to occupy himself with anything else. In that moment, he chose to survive.
Later that year, his planning was cut short by his mother’s death. She went in her sleep, in her own bed, and beside her husband. There was no warning, except for a mild flu she had earlier in the week. It was sudden, and unexplainable, but the doctor on call assured it was at least painless. Kai’s eye twitched at the news. Some dark part of him wanted her to suffer in her last moments. Just a little slice of what she made him feel would be enough retribution. Yet, she never paid. And now she was gone.
Twenty-four hours later, when Kai had served his punishment in silence, and was allowed to return to his mother’s bedside, the paramedics came to take her body. He didn’t care to see it, nor smell the rotting corpse his father had probably slept beside that night. The paramedics entered quietly and worked swiftly, as if spelled to not ask questions. A doctor spoke to Joshua in hushed silence, careful to not let children overhear. The children, herded in a corner by Josette, only stared at the scene of their mother being carried out. His twin sister had tears in her eyes, but none of them fell. She locked eyes with Kai. A face wet with rain met a desert. She looked away in disgust, while he looked down, feeling nothing.
“All due respect, Mr. Parker, if you had taken her to a doctor, we may have been able to catch if something was wrong earlier,” Kai heard the doctor say. His heartbeat quickens knowing there was a way to prevent this. Maybe she did suffer.
“Madeline hated doctors. I’d never make her do something she wouldn’t want to do.”
“It might have saved her life. You can’t have eight children without any medical intervention and expect no complications, sir.”
“I would never go against the will of my wife. She hated modern medicine. Speaking of, release her body to me after you find the cause of death. I would like to bury her in my family’s tradition.”
“Very well, Mr. Parker. And again, I’m sorry for your loss.”
Kai watched the body as it was wheeled out of the house, knowing in only a short time, it would be brought right back. His mother would be buried alongside the rest of the family, and the coven would gather to celebrate her life. Kai looked over to the small gravesite by the side of the house. Flowers had grown atop it, but they wouldn’t be there for much longer.
When paramedics finally began to drive away, Josette cracked. A whine escaped her lips, and it quickly became a sob. She fell to her knees. Her father and their siblings rushed to her side, offering comfort he’d never felt. Comfort, to mourn the loss of a woman who had only ever hurt him. Kai’s throat dries. His head hurts, and there’s a pang in his heart. But it’s not for love, nor mourning of the woman, but for rage. Rage that his childhood was so different from his twin’s. Jealousy, anger, resentment, towards all those in his family who didn’t share the same fate of his youth. Kai’s need for revenge didn’t dissipate after his mother’s death, though that’s what he had expected. In fact, it only grew.
It became his only comfort. Something he never felt from his family, but could find deep within himself. But to have it, he’d have to separate himself even more than he already was. A small price to pay: to sacrifice his sanity for survival. It was a price he was willing to pay.
FP Jones/Andrew’s Family/Riverdale imagines - Oh Dear Part 35 - Final Chapter - A Sore Goodbye
Tumblr media
A/N: This is based on the memorial episode for Luke Perry. Watching and writing this was very hard and I miss him as do many fans and everyone who ever knew him. My characters pain here is almost real as it pained me to write about Fred’s death knowing that we didn’t just lose Fred Andrews, we lost Luke Perry. I hope you enjoy this final chapter of ‘Oh Dear’. It’s been a wild ride and I thank every single reader, liker, etc. I love you all.
MASTERLIST LINK (HERE)
Overall Summary: You’re Archie’s older sister and you have a thing for a certain Serpent.
This chapter: Based on Season 4 Episode 1 - (Y/N) has been living away from Riverdale for two years now. Only keeping touch with her family every now and then but (Y/n)’s brother, Archie, and herself never allowed any Riverdale drama to pull her back to the town which held the man she loved but couldn't have. But the sudden death of her father meant she had to finally return...
Pairing: Reader x FP Jones, Sister!Reader x Archie Andrews, Daughter!Reader x Fred Andrews,
Word count: 8,864
Warnings: Very emotional. Loss of a father. Some strong language. Some smut.
“(Y/N).” His voice was like velvet as his arms snaked around you.
You slowly moved in his arms to face him. Your smile widened as you met his eyes.
“You’ve been gone ages–” Fp’s mouth cut your words short as he kissed you deeply and with a hunger you could feel in the pit of your own stomach.
Your fingers tangled themselves in the older man’s hair within seconds, your hips pressing against his as he held you tightly.
You dragged the man backwards to the bed behind you and allowed yourselves to fall down onto it. FP’s hands rushed to rip the clothes from you.
You let your eyes roll backwards at the feeling of his hot tongue against your neck.
His hands left your body for a moment which made you pout and whine in desperation. The empty feeling didn’t last long as hands placed themselves back against your soft skin; but the feeling was different... Not completely foreign but not him.
Your eyes fluttered open to see Malachai’s face. The air flooded your lungs in a sharp gasp but before you could make another sound, Malachai’s hand trapped your lips beneath it.
You screamed into his hand and tried to fight underneath him but his body felt like a deadweight.
You watched him with wide eyes as he moved closer to your face; his lips and eyes blood red.
You squeezed your eyes shut, feeling his fevered breath against your cheeks, trying your best to mentally escape this.
You finally felt the weight lift from you when you snapped your eyes open and thrashed forward, sending your bedsheets across the floor.
Sweat drenched you.
It took you a minute to realise you were alone in your apartment, not in Riverdale.
You shifted your legs off the side of the bed and rested your elbows against your knees with your head low whilst you tried to slow your breathing.
It'd been months since you dreamt of Riverdale; of FP; of Malachai and that night.
You lifted your mobile from the bedside table and a glaring 4:43am flashed back at you.
It was July so the sun was already rising outside.
You pushed back your curtains and opened your window to let some air into the stifling room.
It wasn’t likely you’d be able to sleep against after a dream like that so you just headed to the shower and put some coffee on for yourself.
You kicked some of the dirty clothes from the night before towards your clothes hamper as you entered the bathroom to cool off and clean the nightmare from your body.
Your apartment was small and you hadn’t been there very long but it was perfect for you. No one had been inside it but you since you moved in so you felt like you truly had a place just for yourself.
You let the water cascade down your body and through the tangle that is your hair.
You thought after all this time why would the dreams be coming back?
The dreams plagued you for weeks when you first left Riverdale but after your first short relationship with some barista that you met in your first town, they’d completely disappeared. They’d only ever come back if you had been heavily drinking but you hadn’t gone out drinking for weeks so why would it happen now?
You managed to waste some time in the shower, clearing your head before you slipped into some clothes and went to get your coffee.
You checked your phone again to see that only 40 minutes had passed so you decided to go through your unopened messages.
Archie had texted you last night asking how you were but you must've been asleep when he did.
You had to admit you missed your little brother, you had always been there for each other even when you disagreed with each other. It was hard for you to stay away from Riverdale when he was arrested so soon after you left but Archie had convinced you to stay away. He always convinced you any problem in Riverdale was smaller than it was in order to stop you from leaving your current life to return to one you didn’t really want.
You contemplated calling him but you knew that he'd be asleep. That boy always tended to sleeping if he wasn’t with Veronica or facing whatever problem Riverdale currently had.
You put down your phone and walked over to your small portable radio to switch it on. Your footsteps pattered around the apartment whilst the quiet music began to fill the space.
You had work today but it wasn't until 8, it was a small bookshop a few blocks down so there was no need for your bike. Still you eyed your helmet and keys and wondered where to go.
You downed your coffee as the idea came to mind then grabbed your keys, heading down to the apartment blocks private garage.
The wind challenged you as you rode towards the smell of the ocean. You inhaled deeply as you pulled up to the sand, slowing down to eventually switch off your engine.
You had travelled all over the U.S. and some of Europe too but you always ended up somewhere near the sea. It was calming and even during these hotter months where the beaches became overcrowded and noisy, you somehow always found the most peaceful area or time to just come and sit.
You fought the urge to go swimming over the couple of hours you sat there due to the fact you knew you'd have to head to work shortly.
Tumblr media
“Morning (Y/n).” The son of the owners of the book store was sat behind the counter with an open book on his lap. He was about Archie’s age and was very polite and nice enough but you knew that he held a small crush on you which made it a little difficult to converse sometimes.
“Morning Jeffrey.” You smiled as you passed him to walk into the small staff room to place your bag inside.
“That book for your dad arrived yesterday afternoon while you were off.” Jeffrey hopped off his stool to collect the novel for you.
“Perfect. I wanted to write a note inside it before I sent it to him.” You explained to the boy about why you didn't just order it to your old home. It was that and the fact it was way more expensive to order the book to the house rather than the bookstore.
“Well if you need me to run it down to the mail for you, I’m heading there at lunch?” Jeffrey offered as he leant against the counter, close to your side.
“Thank you, Jeff, but I’ll probably write in it tonight and send it off before work tomorrow.” You passed on the offer which made the boy look a little disheartened but you brushed it off and asked what other orders came in yesterday so that you could start on calling the customers to inform them.
A couple hours into your shift you kept feeling your phone vibrating in your pocket. You excused yourself to use the bathroom and checked it to see it had 1 missed call from your Dad, 3 from your Mom, 2 from Archie and 3 from Jughead.
You called Jughead since his was the most recent number and he answered within two rings.
“Jughead? What the hell is going on? I’m at work and my phone’s been exploding with missed calls from you, my mom and Archie?” You didn’t bother with a hello since the calls seemed so urgent.
“(Y/n)...” Jughead swallowed. “(Y/n), you need to come back to Riverdale. It’s your dad...”
“My dad? What’s happened? Is he okay?” You felt your chest tighten.
“(Y/n), he... He died.”
The words spun around in your head like a marble in a bowl.
“Jughead... Whatever you’re playing at...” You started, trying, hoping, that this was some stupid game or prank.
“(Y/n), it’s true. Archie got the call from the hospital. He was in an accident. The details aren't clear at the moment but––” You hung up as Betty took Jughead’s phone and spoke the truth.
You threw your phone across the bathroom which resulted in your screen cracking but it didn't matter. All that matter was that your dad, Fred Andrews, was dead.
The events that followed were a blur.
Jeffrey sent his mother into the bathroom, an elderly woman with kind eyes and red hair. She found you collapsed on the floor with tears streaming down your cheeks and tried to help you as you gathered the words together to tell her what happened.
The next thing you knew was that you were at your apartment, packing a small rucksack full of essentials with your bike keys in your hand.
The only moment that became clear in your memory of that moment was when you pulled open your closet door to find your old Serpent jacket.
You held the rough leather material in between your fingers as you reminisced your old life. You ran the tips of your index and middle finger over the embroidered snake but only Fp’s face flashed before your eyes.
You pushed down the memories of the Serpents and continued to pack.
You didn’t know how long it took you to travel home. You knew you didn’t follow the speed limits but you didn’t care. You needed to be home. You needed to know if it were all true. Really true.
You passed the old sign at the border of the town and what felt like a hundred different emotions all seemed to hit you like once.
WELCOME TO RIVERDALE
You hadn’t stepped foot into the town in a couple years now. It felt like a whole new place now.
That is until you hit the top of your road where your old home resided.
You pulled up in front of the house and stared up at the front door with tears in your eyes.
Your dad's truck wasn't here.
“(Y/n)?” The door opened whilst you were lost in your head. Archie must've seen you from the window after hearing your bike pull up.
“Arch?” Your eyes met his with the question you didn’t want answered.
A tear fell from Archie’s eye. You immediately rush up the stairs and took him in your arms.
“(Y/n)?” Your mothers voice crept up behind Archie. It was almost a disbelief in her voice.
“Hi Mom.” You wiped your nose and faced her. In that moment, all hatred and betrayal washed away and you just wanted to be a family again.
The three of you held each other in the doorway, sharing the same pain, crying the same tears.
When you finally parted, Archie was the one to notice his friends had gathered outside.
“It’s good to see you, (Y/n).” Betty was the first to greet you. “It’s been too long. I’m sorry this is why you had to come home.”
You could see the pain in Betty’s eyes, the sadness, the sympathy.
“Me too.” You whispered, returning her hug.
Veronica then hugged you and so did Jughead but when Reggie made some comment about how good you looked you decided to leave them be.
You tiptoed up the stairs to your old room. It was just the same as you left it, not that you stayed in it much towards your final few months in Riverdale.
As you sat down on your bed, you looked towards the door, half expecting to see your dad’s head poke around it to check on you.
You heard commotion in the garden. Archie and his friends were all putting seats around in a circle and chatting.
“When things started getting bad with my dad and drinking, my mom would call up Fred... for help.” Jughead’s voice caught your attention as you sat by the window. “And he would drive to the bar, and he would pick up my dad and he'd lay him on the couch. And he'd always stay a little while... just to talk to me... to see how I was doing in school, and... if I'd eaten dinner. He just wanted to know if I was hungry. I always was.” The group chuckled lightly at Jughead’s comment but the story just reminded you of FP. How you looked after FP when Fred could no longer do it...
You wondered what he was doing. How was he handling this?
You mentally scolded yourself for thinking about him when you were Fred’s daughter. You should be thinking about you and the pain you feel.
You heard a knock at your door. It was your Mom.
“I thought you’d want to know about the accident.” She sniffled as she entered.
You nodded your head. You wanted to know if he died in pain, if it was his fault or someone else's, something else’s...
“FP spoke to the Sheriff at Cherry Creek. He knows all the details. I don’t know if I can––” Your mother broke down in tears once again and you found yourself comforting her with a short embrace.
“FP? Why would FP know the details?” You pulled away, a little confused.
“FP is Riverdale’s Sheriff.” She managed to string together. You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. You were almost convinced this was all some crazy nightmare.
“Okay. I’ll be back soon.” You hurried past your mom and down to your bike.
You were at the station within minutes.
Tumblr media
It took every ounce of energy you had left to walk through those doors at the station. Your feet felt like rocks being dragged through the mud at Sweetwater River.
The station was busy, people rushing around and talking to one another.
You found yourself outside the sheriff’s office, peering through the small glass window at a man you knew you recognised despite the khaki disguise.
He was on the phone, wrinkles frowned on his face and his eyes were glassy but focused.
You watched him put the phone down and pinch the bridge of his nose. He slid off the corner of his desk and moved around to his chair where he finally became horizontal to you.
His eyes finally lifted from his desk and upon seeing you, the colour seemed to drain from his face. It was as if he’d seen a ghost.
Suddenly, your flight mode kicked in and you turned to leave.
“(Y/n)!” FP’s voice seemed to freeze every joint in your body even though your mind was screaming at you to walk away.
“I only came to know what happened. What happened to my dad.” You couldn't stop the tears rising to your eyes but you refused to let them fall.
“Come... Come inside.” FP held his door open for you and you forced your feet to move in that direction.
“It’s, uh, good, good to see you.” FP seemed almost as nervous as you felt.
“It’s been–– Please tell me what happened.” You couldn’t do small talk right now. You were desperate. You wanted to know if it really were an accident.
“Fred was driving home to Riverdale when he pulled over to help someone's car that was stalled on the side of the road, and, uh... Another vehicle... came upon them way too fast and... He was struck by it.” FP could barely get the words out himself.
You buried your face into the palm of your hands as you broke down once again. He just wouldn’t ever say no to helping someone. And now he's dead because of it.
“I’m so sorry, (Y/N).” FP placed his hand on your back and the electricity almost made you jump backwards but you managed to stay sat.
“I kept dodging his calls. I hadn’t spoken to him in three weeks. I was sending him this stupid collectable book to apologise for my distance and now, now he’s... he’s...” You couldn’t help but let the words fall from your lips.
“Hey. Hey, now.” Fp pulled you towards him and you let yourself engulf in the man. His arms felt familiar, safe and warm. His scent flooded your nose which brought you some peace. “It’s alright.” He tried to assure you but seeing you in this much pain only made his pain worse.
You were even more beautiful than ever. His heart almost stopped when he saw your (y/e/c) eyes shining through the window. Sad but still bright.
“Sheriff?” The door swung open which made you pull away from the man out of habit. “Sorry to interrupt but there's a call waiting for you, sir.” The young deputy recognised you as Fred’s daughter and sent an apologetic look your way.
“I should be going. I shouldn’t be bothering the ex-Southside Serpent sheriff anyway.” You laughed a little trying to lighten the mood but nothing could lighten the darkness inside your chest.
You returned home and found yourself in your fathers closet.
You pulled out one of his favourite shirts and pressed it against your face. You hadn’t even gotten the chance to hug him since you last left Riverdale.
You pulled it on and retired for the evening to your bedroom.
Dreaming of you as a little girl in Pickins park with Betty as you took turns on the father/daughter potato sack race with your dad.
You woke in the morning to your mothers stern voice downstairs. She was clearly on the phone with someone who’d upset her.
You pulled yourself from bed and trudged down the stairs. You held on to the banister as you swung around to see your mom at the end of the hall in the kitchen on the house phone.
Your mother hung up before turning to face you. The irritation she once felt from the call had disappeared when she saw you stood at the bottom of the staircase with your father’s shirt on. You look almost as innocent and sweet as when you were a child, a picture image of you 8 years old in your dad's shirt to go play ball in the garden with your father and Archie came into her mind.
But today you were different to that little girl; dark circles clung to your eyes and  your skin seemed to dull in colour. You weren’t a little girl anymore, you were a woman, but it seemed that both of you were desperately wishing times were different in this moment.
“Who was that?” You asked, you didn’t realise how hoarse your voice was until you spoke, it must've been from the crying during the night.
“Your brother. He went all the way up to Cherry Creek to fetch your fathers body.” Your Mom sounded almost as shocked as you felt by the news.
With that, you darted back upstairs and grabbed your cell.
“Archie?” You were fuming as Archie answered your call.
“(Y/n)?” Archie responded.
“Why did you go to Cherry Creek? Why didn’t you say anything? Why have I travelled all the way back to Riverdale just to be alone?” The questions seem to leave your mouth like a flood. “He’s my dad too, Archie. You didn’t think I’d come with you to bring him home? I waited so long to see him and now it’s too late.”
“(Y/n), I’m sorry. I didn’t think you’d want––”
“––want to travel hours away to bring dad home? Want to see him as soon as possible?” Your voice broke as tears flowed from your eyes.
“I’m sorry, okay?! I had this nightmare and I left as soon as I woke up. I just couldn’t leave him here. I didn’t want you or Mom questioning or dictating to me about this journey. I’m sorry, (Y/n).” Archie sounded emotional himself. You wondered if he had seen your dad yet.
“What if I get on my bike and come up now? I’ll leave within minutes.” You suggested.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, (Y/n). It’ll take you a few hours to get here and by the time you arrive, we’ll be allowed to take dad and leave. You might as well stay there and make sure Mom’s alright. We’ll be back as soon as possible.” Archie discouraged your idea and as much as you hated it you knew it was best if you stayed and waited with your mother.
You heard the doorbell go off downstairs by the time you hung up the phone and got dressed for the day. You knew you had slept in your dad’s shirt but his scent clung to it so strongly you didn’t want to take it off.
The sound of high heels downstairs gave you an idea of who might have arrived so you weren’t surprised to see Cheryl and Toni in the hallway, embracing your mother.
“(Y/n)! Oh my god! Wait ‘till the Serpents hear your back!” Toni almost ran towards you when she saw you. You hugged the girl back and smiled at how grown and beautiful she’d gotten since you left.
“I’m terribly sorry for your loss, (Y/n), but I must admit seeing your face has made it a happier time for Riverdale.” Cheryl hugged you once Toni finally let you and all you could do was force a smile onto your face as you tucked your hands into your back pockets.
“The girls say they’ve come to ask us something.” Your mother chimed in.
“Actually I’m going to head out and look around town. It feels too heavy in this house without dad.” You admit, sending an apologetic look towards Toni.
“It’s alright. Maybe you can stop by Pop’s later and we can get some food and catch up?” Toni asked,
You just nodded before taking hold of the front door handle and escaping.
Just as you looked up from the concrete floor, leaning against the house door whilst letting out a deep breath of relief, there stood at the bottom of the steps on the sidewalk was FP.
You watched him remove his hat before stepping towards you.
“Are you alright?” He asked, his face full of concern.
“Just feeling a little claustrophobic.” You admitted you felt a little closed in with the visitors this morning.
“I see you kept your bike.” FP gestured to your motorbike on the side of the road.
“She took me all around the country. Broke my heart to leave her here for a while when I travelled Europe. I plan to take her to Italy in the future. I rode a bike there but it just wasn’t the same.” You found yourself talking about his gift to you with ease. It was the first conversation you had that wasn’t about your father.
“Wow, Europe? That’s further than most people from Riverdale get.” FP saw how you gushed over your bike and it made his heart squeeze knowing he was the one who got it for you.
He still couldn't believe you were stood in front of him. When you rode off and out of Riverdale he figured he wouldn’t be seeing you for a long time. Perhaps ever again.
You had grown in more ways than one. He could see the travel helped you find yourself or at least figure out yourself a bit better than Riverdale could ever do.
Even though you looked worn from the news of your father passing, he could see that you were comfortable in your skin, any insecurity you had previously shown was gone or hidden. He admired you from afar.
“How are you? How did you even become Sheriff? Are you seeing anyone?” You couldn’t help but let the last question be spoken aloud.
“Uh, it’s complicated.” His response seemed to answer every question. You noticed his eyes flicker to the Coopers household.
Alice.
“Do you, uh, do you want to get out of here?” You pointed your thumb down the direction of the street as you looked around.
“Um, (Y/n), I––” FP started, tugging on his belt loops with his thumbs as he too looked around but his answer only began to panic you.
“––No, it’s fine. I shouldn’t have asked. Things have changed, I get it.” You rambled on, hugging your arms around yourself as you retreated.
“I’d love to.” FP cut any more rambles from your mouth off.
“Your ride or mine?” You asked, nodding towards the sheriff wagon across the street.
FP chuckled and shook his head,
“Mine.” He made his way to the car, and opened the door for you.
The gesture was so small yet so large. Who was this man now? Has he changed much? His smile hasn’t changed. It never has.
He had his radio on quietly, probably so he wouldn't miss any calls on the police satellite. You tend to be busy as the sheriff of the town called Riverdale. This crazy, surreal like town.
“How’s Red handling it?” Fp asked,
“He, um, he went up to Cherry Creek last night. Arrived this morning to collect my dad. He didn't tell me or our mom. He just went with Jughead, Betty and Veronica and left. Called Mom this morning asking her to sign some paperwork so that dad could be released to Archie.” You stared out of the window as you spoke. The town floated by as if it hadn’t been bothered by Fred’s death.
“He what?” FP furrowed his brow as he looked over at you for a moment. “That boy...” FP started but you finished it with a light chuckle and a ‘I know’.
FP pulled off the main streets of Riverdale and toward the river.
“So, what happened the last time you spoke to your old man? You said you didn’t speak to him for three weeks after that.” FP was careful to poke due to the sensitive topic but for some reason, you felt calm enough with him beside you.
“Nothing. The usual, asking questions where I'm living, if I’m eating, have I met anyone? Have I got a job? But he kept talking about me coming to visit Riverdale now I was a little closer. He kept on about how much my Mom wants to see me and how happy it’d make Archie but... But I just didn’t know how to say that I didn’t want to come back yet.” You admitted honestly.
FP’s car wheels came to a squeaky stop as he pulled into Sweetwater River.
“I know it’s stupid and selfish and I should have come back when he asked. I mean he only wanted me to visit and now it’s too late. Now I can’t... He can’t... He’s not here.” You felt yourself crumble throughout the sentence and FP watched with tears in his own eyes.
“Hey.” He pulled you towards him, hugging you tightly. “It’s not your fault. You had only just got the hell out of here.” FP tried to comfort you.
You gripped onto his shirt as you buried your face into him.
“We all should have spent more time with him. Life likes to play these dirty games with us.” FP could feel the pain radiating from your body.
You seemed so small and fragile in his arms. You felt like the person you used to be right at the beginning of your relationship, when all you wanted to do was look after him and make sure he was alright. Now, he just wanted to make you feel alright.
“I remember when Fred found out that he was having a baby girl. He couldn’t have been more excited and terrified at the same time.” FP laughed softly, “Little did he know that little girl would grow up to be one of the kindest, strongest and damn-near smartest women in this town. Fred knew you were beautiful in and out, (Y/n). He believed you could do anything you wanted to.” FP explained, trying his best to bring some happiness to the memory of your father.
You pulled away slowly to look the man in the face. He took hold of your cheeks and tried to smile but you could see the sadness in his eyes.
“And I can’t believe that little girl grew up to change my life. She used all of her kindness and strength on a hopeless drunk who couldn’t hold down a job.” There seemed to be a hint of regret in FP’s eyes. Not regret for the relationship but perhaps regret that he had dragged you alongside him for so long.
“That man has turned out to be the sheriff today. Ex-king of the Southside serpents and sober. He helped me find a backbone and gave me something to fight for.” You argued with his negative outlook. “My dad must've been so proud to see you as big dog in Riverdale.”
FP lowered his eyes and shook his head with a smile.
“He wouldn’t have been proud much longer if he found out that his best friend had been in love with his only daughter.” FP’s words seemed to fall from his lips in slow motions as you processed what he had said.
You had no control over your body when you found your mouth meeting his, lifting his head back up.
FP didn’t expect the gesture but welcomed it as one hand found the back of your neck and the other squeezed your waist.
Your tongues danced together like two lost lovers had finally found each other again.
You tried to lean forward to press your chest against his but the position of the car seats wouldn’t allow it.
It was the police radio that interrupted you both, a deputy calling for ‘Sheriff Jones’ to return as there was new information on the Fred Andrews case.
You fell apart as quickly as you came together.
You shot your eyes down to your feet as you tried to catch your breath.
Fp stayed silent as he panted beside you.
The car came alive as he cleared his throat, pulling out of the famous riverside and back onto the main road.
You both remained silent until you pulled into the station.
Your skin felt like it was on fire from the passionate kiss but the news about the case overtook your thoughts.
You both rushed into the station and to the sheriff’s office where FP picked up the phone, dialling the Cherry Creek police.
You sat in the rigid uncomfortable chair opposite FP’s desk and bit down on your thumb nail as you waited anxiously.
You sat up in anticipation as FP hung up the phone.
“So?” You asked, your voice was soft, almost a whisper.
“The guy that hit Fred. He turned himself in this morning.” FP informed you, dialling a number on his cellphone.
“So they’ve got him? He’s off the roads?”
“He, uh, he made bail. He’s been released. It’s just how these things go sometimes.” FP could see the anger on your face when he said that the guy was released.
“But he killed my dad.” You felt sick knowing the man who killed your father was out walking around.
“And he’ll get justice for it.” FP said it in a way that you immediately it was a promise than a statement.
“I’m gonna call Red. Go ahead and inform your mother.” FP instructs you and you do as you’re told. Telling her only what you know.
When you returned to the office from taking the call outside, you could see the worry on FP’s face.
“What’s wrong?” You asked,
“Your brother. I think he’s gonna try and take justice into his own hands. I’m trying to get through to Jughead now.” FP held up his phone.
When Jughead finally answered, FP told him everything and Jughead said he’d take care of it.
“Jug will get to him. Archie might be mad but if they get to him first then no one should get hurt.” You tried to be optimistic. You didn’t want Archie starting a fight he might not win. Who knows who this guy is!
FP leant back in his chair and ran a hand over his face the way he usually does when he’s stressed.
Tumblr media
“For some reason, it doesn’t feel real.” You murmured as you folded your arms across your chest and moved yourself in front of FP. Leaning back against his desk, standing between his legs.
“I keep thinking that I’ll go home and his truck will be there. He’ll be stood in the kitchen, buried in some paperwork with a beer bottle in his hand. He’ll moan at me for staying out so late and we’ll argue about how I’m an adult. But at the end of the night, he’ll still be leaning in bedroom doorway to say goodnight.” You didn’t realise you were crying against until the salty tears found your lips.
“This town’s not gonna be the same without him.” FP met your eyes with his own glassy ones.
“I didn’t tell him I loved him in three weeks.” You broke.
Fp rose to his feet and his hands squeezed your upper arms as he tried to get you to look at him.
“You didn’t need to say it. He already knew.” FP embraced you once again and you relaxed once more.
“Look, while you were on the phone to your mom, I got a call from Cheryl. She has this whole parade planned for when Archie returns with Fred. A special way to honour him and I gotta be the one to stop Archie from going straight into town. We’re gonna give him a police escort and let the town say goodbye.” FP thought the idea would give you something to look forward to. Something to be apart of.
“This town really loved him, huh?” You wiped at your nose and smiled sadly.
“Yes, they did. Now, if you’ll have me, I’d like for you to ride in the wagon with me out front.” FP knew it was a risky move but he knew you’d appreciate it.
You nodded your head, letting another tear slip from your eye.
FP caught it with his thumb.
The next thing you knew your lips were gently pressing against his.
Fp nor you could fight these feelings. Fp knew that if Alice or Jughead’s mom found out.... His thoughts seemed to disappear when your hands caressed his arms, leading up to your neck.
He deepened the kiss, closing the small space between you by lifting you up onto his desk. He fitted nicely between your legs and you arched your back against him as he kissed down your neck.
You internally rejoiced when you noticed the blinds on the office door were shut. Hopefully prompting anyone who needed to enter to knock.
You straightened back up to reclaim his lips as his hands moved up your shirt to your chest.
“FP.” You whispered, your hands were on his belt buckle but you didn’t make any movements to loosen it yet.
The pain of the past couple days seemed to melt away at the touch of one another. You were like each others morphine.
FP took the hint and yanked at your jeans, pulling them down your thighs to your ankles. You clawed at his belt, hissing when he brought you forward and sank his teeth into your shoulder.
You threw off your top and fixated your arms around the older man.
He could feel your want on the outside of your panties.
A moan escaped as his fingers brushed your sex as he moved your panties to one side.
“You have no idea how much I’ve needed this. You.” FP spoke against your skin as he pressed himself inside you.
You threw your head back for a moment before resting your forehead on the man’s shirt.
Fp lifted you slightly to get a better angle as he thrusted in and out of you.
He felt so good that the world around you seemed to become white.
“Fuck.” FP snarled as you rolled your hips against his.
His name left your lips as you both picked up the pace. You could feel yourself drawing close to climax already.
His hand buried itself in your hair and tugged as you bit down on your lip to stay quiet. Your cheek burned against his with the friction of his beard and the heat from you both.
With your bodies moulded together, the desperation of a release built.
You bit down on his shoulder as you unravelled, throbbing around him which only brought his release closer.
You let go of his shoulder and silently cursed at the wet teeth mark you left on his khaki shirt but you quickly forgot as he pulled his length from you and emptied his seed over your thigh.
He rested his forehead against you as you both caught your breath. You were glad you tore off your shirt as you were coated in a thin layer of sweat.
FP reached over to the box of tissues in the office and began cleaning up his mess.
He looked up from your thighs to catch something he had forgotten about on your shoulder.
A very obvious ‘M’ was scarred in your beautiful skin.
You watched him stare at you with a twisted look of pain. His thumb ran over the mark which made you flinch away slightly.
It was just a horrid reminder of what nearly happened that night. However, you refused to cover it with a tattoo as it also reminded you that you survived it.
You slid off the desk to tug up your jeans and scoop up your t-shirt.
You cringed slightly as you realised what you had done. You had thrown away your dad’s shirt to fuck his life long best friend on the sheriff’s desk.
FP must've noticed your face pale as he asked if you were okay.
You could hear his belt being done up and you muttered a swift apology about his shirt before turning the handle on the door.
“Hey! Wait!” FP called after you but you tried to escape the building as fast as you could.
As soon as you were out the station doors and the warm summer air hit you, you started sprinting.
You ran until your legs ached and when you finally stopped.
You were at the play park.
It wasn’t too busy considering what the day was.
You sat down on an empty swing and took a moment to catch your breath.
“I’m sorry, Dad.” You looked up at the sky as you spoke. You didn’t know whether you were happy he never found out about the affair or sad because all you did was lie to him for years.
The internal conflict you had only worsened the pain you felt.
“I didn’t expect to see you here.” The voice was enough to almost make you groan audibly.
“Don’t think anyone did.” You pressed your lips into a thin line as Alice approached you.
“No. I mean in the park. Of course, you’d come home for your fathers funeral.” Alice looked like she had been crying but her words were stable enough.
You didn't respond.
“I’m sorry for your loss, (y/n). Fred Andrews was one of the best men this town ever knew.” Alice stated.
“Yeah, thanks.” You pushed yourself off the swing and started to stride away from the woman when she caught your wrist.
“Hey, you need anything you let me know? You and Archie are as much family to me as my own.” Alice sent you a sympathetic smile and you couldn’t help but remember all the times you’d play with Polly and Betty at their house.
“Thank you, Alice.” You softened your words before turning to leave again.
“(Y/n)! (Y/n)!” Not long after you left the park you heard a man calling your name.
You faced the direction of the call to see FP shutting his car door to come towards you.
“I’ve been looking for you everywhere. Archie’s almost back.” FP announced.
“We better head to the edge of town then.” You brushed past his shoulder to enter the car.
“Hey.” FP took hold of your wrist and made you look at him. “What happened?”
“I just... I’m wearing my dad’s shirt today. It smells like him. I threw to the side to be close with you and when I picked it up... I couldn’t help but think about how much I’ve lied to him. How many lies I told and how many secrets I kept.”
“Sometimes we have to keep things from others to keep them from getting hurt.” FP’s eyes darkened at the mention of your secret relationship.
“There’s just so much I never said.” You sighed, closing your eyes to prevent any more tears.
“Fred knew all of the important stuff you needed to say. We all kept a few secrets and lied to your old man, that’s the way it is in this town. We can forgive ourselves for it or we can let it turn you into a sour old drunk that can’t even feed his kids.” Fp’s eyes flashed with regret and sadness from his past mistakes.
Your throat was locked shut so you just nodded your head.
“Let’s go get your old man.” Fp opened the car door and you followed.
You didn’t have to wait long on the side of the road before Archie emerged in a hearse with your dad’s truck, driven by Betty and Jughead, behind him.
Fp pushed himself off the front of the car where you both had sat to wait, you lifted your head from his shoulder to watch him stand and raise his hand to slow Archie down.
“Everything all right, Mr. Jones?”
“Everything's good, Red. I, uh, heard what you, and Jug, and the girls were up to, and I wanted to be a part of it. I'd like to give your dad a police escort the rest of the way home, if you're okay with that. He deserves it.”
Yes, sir.” Archie looked past Fp to you. You smiled as much as you could manage and quickly wiped away any water escaping your eyes.
“All right. Follow me then.” Fp leaving Archie’s side gave you the signal to climb into the wagon.
As you drove towards town, you couldn’t help but hold FP’s hand. He held onto you tightly and gave your hand a tight squeeze here and there when he caught you getting emotional again.
“He’d be so happy to see you home.” Fp told you.
“I know.” You agreed.
That's when the parade became clear ahead.
You smiled as you cried silently to the cheers and appraisal your father was getting.
You couldn’t help but laugh as the Serpents all cheered loudly as you passed. You blew them all a kiss as a thank you.
You didn’t stop crying until you pulled up in front of the house.
All the signs and familiar faces tore at your heart and made you think about how well known Fred actually was.
He changed a lot of people’s lives and you were so thankful he was always apart of yours; as your father.
As Archie exited the hearse, you opened your own door.
You rushed to his side and wrapped an arm around his waist as he approached your mother.
“I couldn't leave him there, Mom.” Archie confessed, taking both you and your mom into a tight embrace
“I know.” Your mom said as she snivelled repeatedly.
“I brought Dad home.” Archie looked between you and your mother. You only smiled and tucked yourself under his arm.
“You did. You sure did. I'm so proud of you. I know he would be, too.” Your mom gushed, Archie pulled her back into the group hug and you all just stayed there for a minute.
Fp watched from a distance as you hugged your family and he knew that things would never be the same in Riverdale ever again. He once thought that when he saw you leaving but now, now he knew that he truly meant it.
“Hey, I found something in Dad’s truck.” Archie parted from the hug and dug into his pocket.
What he pulled out was a photo of you, Archie and your dad. All together. Happy.
You laughed weakly as you stepped towards your bike, pulling up the seat to get into the under compartment.
You put your hand into a small bag inside and out came the exact photo but more crinkled and torn. It has travelled with you always.
“I can’t believe he’s gone, Arch.”
“I know. Me either.” Your brother buried you in his chest and it wasn't the first time you felt like the younger sibling between the two of you.
The funeral didn’t take too long to put together and before you knew it, the casket was being walked towards you and your mother at the graveyard.
You watched your mother press a kiss against the closed casket as she lay her rose on top.
You were shaking when you found the courage to step forward yourself.
You wrapped your arms around the casket and pressed your cheek against the cold wood, letting your tears hit it below.
“I love you, Dad.” You were heartbroken. Here lay Fred Andrews, never to be seen again. Not outside of pictures or videos.
Archie had to be the one to come forward and move you along as the crowd watched with agony in their hearts.
“And now... Fred's son, Archie, would like to say a few words.”
You watched Archie take the podium with more strength than you could even muster that day.
“‘Uh, earlier I was thinking... on the drive over here... how much of Riverdale my dad built... or just fixed up. Houses, office buildings... A bit of everything. He helped build this town. And one day if I'm lucky enough to have a son or a daughter of my own... I'll be able to point to a building or even just a brick in the building, and say, "Your grandpa made that... with his hands."” Archie paused, you smiled at the idea of a little Archie running around Riverdale.
“It's the 4th of July. I remember this one th... it was raining. The fireworks show was canceled, and, uh, I was so bummed, I remember sitting in the backyard just bawling... Until my dad came home with all these fireworks. I mean, enough to burn our house down, you remember that, (Y/n)? Mom?”
You and your mother nodded with a smile as she took your hand.
“And, uh... we lit them in the backyard, it was just... it was the best night. My dad was here for every high and every low. He's the greatest man I've ever known. It hurts me that I never got to say goodbye. That I won't get to see him again or talk to him. But his spirit and his memory lives on... in this town, and in everyone he's met. Fred Andrews will always be a part of Riverdale. I love you so much, Dad.” Archie finished his speech and you felt like you couldn't even move.
You felt horrible that you couldn’t say anything but you could barely get a word out without breaking down completely.
Once the funeral was over and you had returned to your childhood home, you went upstairs and draped one of your dad’s flannels over your shoulders and your dress.
“I miss you, Daddy.” You curled up on his side of the bed and buried your face into the sleeves of the flannel.
Archie could see you from the hall and he considered comforting you but the sight of you so broken was too much for him to bare at that moment.
You knew you couldn’t stay in Riverdale without Fred being there.
You knew you couldn't even stay a week just to stay with Archie.
You had spent so much time in the past fighting to stay in the town but now all it held was memories of your pain.
You returned to your room after what felt like hours, you must’ve fallen asleep at some point as you felt groggy when you finally lifted yourself up to gather your things together.
“You’re not staying for the fireworks?” Your mom appeared at your door.
“I can’t.” You tried to keep yourself composed. “I can’t, Mom. I can’t be here without him. He was always there. Always. When you left, when I'd fight against him, when I left. He was always right here.”
“I understand.” Your mom surprised you with her answer and even more with her hug. She kissed you on the cheek and pressed a smile onto her lips.
“I love you so much. Please don’t be a stranger in the future.” She begged,
You kissed her forehead as she lowered her head.
“I promise I won’t.”
As you moved away, you noticed she had changed and redone her makeup.
Archie was downstairs from what you could see from the top of the stairs and he too was dressed up.
You descended with your mothers hand in yours and your bag in the other.
“We’re about to start...” Archie’s words trailed off when he saw you were holding your bag.
“I’ve got to go. I’ll visit you real soon little brother.” You placed your bag down as Archie watched.
“Already?” Archie pouted,
“I have too. We all have our ways of coping. I can’t move past this if I stay here. I can’t stay here without him.” You were honest with your little brother.
You awaited an explosion but Archie followed in your moms footsteps and simply hugged you.
“Promise me this isn’t the last time I’m going to see you.” Archie whispered against my ear.
“I promise.” You kissed his cheek and pulled away. “Tell the others it was good t see them.” You didn’t want to deal with any more goodbyes.
“I will. You ready?” He turned back to his mom and she said she was.
You didn’t stay to watch them head out to the garden to watch the fireworks.
You put on your helmet and mounted your bike.
As you drove away, you smiled as you saw the fireworks in your wing mirror.
At the end of the road you noticed FP’s sheriff car parked and FP dressed in his usual get up of jeans and a flannel.
“Didn't think you could skip town again without a goodbye.” FP smirked as you stopped your bike.
“How’d you know I’d leave tonight?” You rose your voice enough to be heard over the fireworks.
“’Cause...”  He shrugged and swaggered towards you.
“You think you can just smile at me and everything will be alright?” You removed your helmet as you spoke.
“I wanted to tell you something. Something I should have said a long time ago.” Fp only grew closer to you.
“I’m all ears, Sheriff Jones.”
“I loved you, (Y/n). I always loved you. You were this unexpected gift that came into my life and kicked the crap out of the old me. You taught me what it was like to feel again. You were better than any drink I had ever had.” FP began to confess to you. “I know I didn’t deserve you and I know we can never be together in the way I wanted to but those many months of my life with you by my side. My Serpent Queen. They were some of the best days of––”
You kissed the man after hearing the words you had always wanted to hear.
You knew he loved you that time ago but he never said. Never told you.
“I loved you too, FP Jones.” You let your lips part from his slowly as you breathed out the words.
“Keep on fighting. You’re stronger than you know.” FP pressed his forehead against yours as he looked into your eyes.
Those eyes. Those hypnotic eyes.
“Stay out of trouble. Don’t make me come back and kick your ass back into shape.” You half-kidded.
FP sighed and kissed you once more.
“I’m forever yours, FP Jones.” You let the man know as you backed away from him back towards your bike.
He watched you climb back on but before you replaced your helmet he remembered something...
“Wait.” FP pulled a piece of paper from his pocket and as he got closer with a slow jog, you realised it was the polaroid. “It’s your turn to keep it.”
You took the photo without any fight and tucked it into your jacket.
“Look after yourself, Jones.”  You brushed your lips against his as you held his cheeks between your fingers.
“Don’t break too many hearts, (Y/n) Andrews.” FP took a step back.
“Can't make that promise.” You winked. The only heart that ever mattered to you was his.
You revved your engine as you finally rode away.
Watching the man only disappear in your mirror as the fireworks only continued.
The End.
