They would stand next to each other in the kitchen when Mama Florenzi has a good day and chat while cooking (Mama Mahmood is a patient teacher and Mama Florenzi is an excellent pupil)

Amira and Matteo sit in the living room, revising stuff and / or talking about their boyfriends and Matteo hears his mother laugh and it makes him so happy that he has to flap his hands a little and hum a tune that popped into his head and they don’t think he’s annoying, they love him and he gets to join in when his Mama is the one who is the teacher this time. Sometimes they all dance through the kitchen.

Mama Mahmood and Mama Florenzi don’t share the same religion but they’re incredibly respectful towards one another, Mama Florenzi has a room for praying in her house with a prayer mat pointing towards Mekka (Amira helped her figure out the direction) and she always stashes halal sweets for the times Amira comes over for a study session.

Mama Mahmood once went to a church choir meeting with Mama Florenzi and even though she’s not Christian, the songs touched her.

I love them a lot.

I think Mama Florenzi is my favorite of all the moms in the skam universe. Like she just knew matteo needed to be held so she stopped singing to go to him. And that moment of her petting matteos head while he teared up into her shoulder? Heartbreakingly tender

Summary: On a lazy morning in bed David reflects on his relationship with Matteo, and thinks about Matteo's relationship with his father.

Notes: So this story totally took a turn from what I initially had planned (which was going to just be cute fluff about Matteo and David sleeping together/being lazy) but I actually really like how it turned out.

There's some Italian in it, which is translated in the end notes so as not to spoil anything.

Sneak Peak:

 When he got to the Quidditch pitch, he noticed that he wasn’t alone this time. There was a figure, sitting in the middle of the pitch, smoke casually puffing in the air around him. He made his way over to the person sitting there, and when he got close enough, the boys head turned. He was met with the bluest eyes he’s ever seen, but they were glossy. Lifeless almost. It was an eerie sight. He knew those eyes.

  “I wasn’t expecting anyone else to be here.” David admitted.

  “It was the only place where I could be alone.” The boy admitted.

  “Yea, I guess we both had the same idea.” David laughed.

  “I can go if you want. I’ve been here for awhile anyway.” The boy said.

  “I don’t mind the company.” David admitted. “I’m David. Slytherin.”

  “Matteo. Hufflepuff.” He said.

He turned his attention back towards the sky. David didn’t know why he did it, but he found himself lying on the ground next to Matteo. Opposite ways, their heads next to each other as they shared the cigarette. No words needed to be spoken, they were content sitting in silence like this. It was comfortable. Something they liked.
