Who was your first TOA muse? If you don’t have them anymore, could you see yourself picking them up again? felix. for a while after i dropped him i thought i had run the gambit with him in terms of narrative i wanted to explore and figured he was going on the top shelf. but the last half year or so he's been wanting to come back...

Have you had any other TOA muses? YIKES, have i. felix, sety, idunn, volug, leif, yuri, kurthnaga, ephraim, lucius, etzel

Do you think you have a type of character you gravitate towards? most common ones are probably the Sad Sack Sages ( hi etzel, sety ), fiery boys with hearts of gold ( felix, leif ), and dark paladins ( nel, felix ). i also really like chaotic neutral trickster types, but aren't usually confident enough in my ability to write for them haha

What do you believe you enjoy writing the most? action scenes for sure. any scene where there's external momentum driving things forward and giving a sense of momentum and urgency. also just anything that lets me worldbuild or exploring facets of worldbuilding hehe

Favorite TOA-related memory: that's a hard one. probably the final week of arcadia, our first lore event. all the teams ended up in boss battles, but they weren't the guaranteed staple of lore event endings like they are now. it just kind of happened because that's where the stories ended up. the collaborative scene-building and sense of camaraderie in the fights against gricenchos and gofannon are still unmatched for me to this day. they felt like dynamic scenes right out of a lord of the rings movie

Got any delusions that didn’t see the light of day in TOA that you’d like to share? i have constant delusions. i've been saying since ferp that i want to play eltshan someday and never have LOL. bringing lester into toa. bringing zeiss to toa. i have a url saved for lyre. it kind of feels wrong not having a single muse from either jugdral or tellius HAHA

hrmm... assuming you were inspired to send this after seeing a recent post i made, there wasn't anything that brought on that thought process other than someone having put this old post in my notes again the other day

i'm not very active with this blog anymore. if memory serves i started watching the simpsons back from the beginning in late 2019 and made this blog in early 2020, which is a long time ago already (remember, like, quarantine?). i had a strong hyperfixation on the show at the time and i used to post a LOT more, i'd post art, some of it incorporating headcanons i had for certain characters or original depictions of them, i'd post more thinkpieces whenever i'd want to psychoanalyze something for fun, and i DID used to have a lot to say about todd flanders

aside from posts i'd make like the one linked above i will never forget how heavily this particular episode really fed the fire of the idea that todd was destined for the potential to break free of his appointed one-notedness and eventually grow into this organic rebellion, i guess it got to me as something that felt so human, when someone is raised only ever being told certain things or trained to think in certain ways and as they get older they start to think for themselves and in many cases at least go through a phase where they desperately strive to adopt every ideology that contradicts those things they maybe now feel were harmful to their growth as a person, and maybe it's to spite a parent, or maybe it's to figure out who they wanna be, whatever it means to them in the moment they just HAVE to BREAK AWAY... it's a shared experience of so many people and it's sooo much fun to apply it to silly yellow cartoon child

wbwbw !! early 2023 was pretty much where i started using the mthods i use now for my art (the orpheus drawing in top right is pretty much the first time i'd used lineart and cell shading rather than painting in over a year. and then it stuck!).

it's also real funny to see how much the designs of my characters have changed over the course of the year (for orpheus, it's somewhat significant of a change; markos' design has also changed, but less so)

Which Halo is your favorite and why? I like Halo 2 the best because the side by side plot of Chief v Arby developing is really compelling and watching the Great Schism happen in real time is really dope. Also I'm fucked up on shrooms rn.

oooohhh it depends. If its centered around Master Chief, then it would have to be Halo 2. Mainly bc playing a the Arbiter is such a different experience, getting to see the Covenants perspective on the war is always refreshing. It's also really fun to see the Covenant completely collapse 😊

As for the other games not about Chief, it'd be Halo: Reach hands down. The story is fantastic but the main reason it's my all time favorite is all the memories that are associated with it. My brother and I used to build our own maps in Forge World and go buck wild. We had a map where one of us would use a Gravity Hammer and the other person had a Ghost or Revenant but you couldn't use the weapons on the vehicle, you had to run over the other player. Basically the goal was to kill the other person. Sounds boring but once you started playing, it was so much fun
