Hello all, admin here

I wanted you guys to know that I have saved all of George’s works and I am planning to upload them as soon as I can.

I was wondering what platform/post upload would work best for you all? For instance, would you want them all posted - chapter by chapter - here and make a masterpost when im done? Would you rather I made a seperate account on tumblr to do that? Or would you want them on another site and I could link you to them?

Please let me know your thoughts so I can get something up and running.

I am sorry to hear of the accounts deleting. I’ve been in this fandom since early 2012 - and it’s amazing to think that these fics have been loved for nearly a decade. When George said he was not going to finish his fics back in 2014, I took the time to save every fic I could because I suspected that something like this would happen.

It is distressing to know that that day has come, but I want to remind everyone here that George does, in fact, have a life and commitments. Please do not (should any of you have his contact/email/etc) berate him about this or spread negativity about this happening. He has moved on - we knew this a long time ago. Let him do what he must to be happy. He deserves it.

George deValier is gone

Sometime in the last 24 hours, deValier deleted everything off of fanfiction.net. It's all gone.

Does anyone remember who had his stories printed? Someone had printed his stories and bound them.

Also, I know it is very distressing, but please remember there could be a good reason. Some possibilities obviously include ff.net deleted them for content, deValier needed some peace of mind from the activity it still received, various personal reasons, etc. But it could also be good, maybe they're getting published?

But for now, who let's try to find who had them printed out!

George DeValier is really gone now. I was devastated upon finding this out. His original work is gone, and his account has been deleted. I'm still trying to process this right now, but I feel more numb over it than anything. He was the reason I started writing again and strived to do my best at it, and now he's gone. His work brought magic into my life and made me believe in love again when I discovered it so many years ago, and now all of it is gone. I'm so sad that a writer I looked up to and admired disappeared without a trace, taking his work with him, but it makes me want to write better to make up for his loss. Thank you for the magic, George. In the end, it had all been worth the risk. ❤

deValier on Wattpad

Hello all!

A lot of the feedback that I have gotten about posting on other platforms has been very helpful, and I’ve decided to make a Wattpad account with all of George deValier’s fics uploaded to it! This way anyone who is having trouble with Tumblr can have access to George’s work.

The account name is devalier-fanfics on Wattpad for those of you who are interested! I have already posted three of deValier’s fics to start.

Once again, posting all of the chapters is going to take some time, so please be patient. I have never used Wattpad before so this platform is very new to me. Any helpful feedback you may have about how to use it would be greatly appreciated!

Fanfic Update

All of George deValier’s non-Veraverse fics have now been posted to the-observant-frisbeetarian (with the exception of chapter 13 of The Tiger and the Dragon and Meanwhile, Across Town—which I am still looking for if anyone has them!) I will begin posting the Veraverse within the next few days. 

I would like to ask that anyone who uses these posts to upload on AO3 or any other platform to PLEASE credit me. These take a long time to re-format and draft and hyperlink to the appropriate sources, and it makes me feel happy to know that the time I have spent on these is appreciated. 

Until the next round of fics are posted, I encourage those who have not yet read deValier’s other works to go and check them out! They are all such wonderful and enjoyable stories—several of which are my all-time favorites—and I wish more people were aware of them!
