Tanggapan Mas Herri tentang konser Coldplay di Jakarta !!

Coldplay sudah menjadi band internasional yang basis fansnya sangat luas. Dari yang berkelas, sampai abang tukang parkir mendengarkan lagu mereka. Jadi, kalau mereka mengadakan konser di Jakarta, menurut saya bagus. Bukti mereka menghargai.

Saran saya untuk kalian yang punya uang untuk beli tiket konsernya, entah Ultimate, My Universe, atau sekadar CAT 8, jangan dibeli. Buang-buang uang. Toh, lagu-lagunya mudah didengar secara gratis di banyak platform. Nonton konser juga lagunya itu-itu aja. Bisa konser virtual di YouTube secara mandiri, kok. Nuansa konsernya yang tidak bisa terganti? Terlalu mahal untuk sekadar mendapatkan pengalaman yang tidak membawa manfaat untuk kehidupan. Menonton konser adalah kebutuhan tersier yang bahkan termasuk hal yang tidak terlalu perlu. Lebih baik uangnya dialokasikan ke hal yang bermanfaat. Tiket CAT 8 seharga Rp. 800.000 itu bisa jadi beasiswa anak yatim selama satu tahun; beli seragam baru anak dari keluarga miskin 10 pasang; atau itu bisa beli 15 sak semen untuk wakaf pembangunan masjid atau sekolah. Atau, hal-hal lain yang bermanfaat untuk kita dan bahkan orang lain.

Sementara untuk kalian yang tidak punya uang untuk beli tiket konser, bersyukurlah. Karena dengan cara itu Tuhan memberikan pencerahan ke kalian bahwa ada hal yang lebih penting yang harus kalian tuntaskan, yaitu mencari uang. Uang susah untuk didapat, masa malah dihamburkan untuk menonton konser. Apalagi sekadar nonton dari tribun yang penyanyinya cuma seukuran kelingking. Tidak rasional.

Ya, ini sih pendapat saya pribadi ya. Karena saya rasional dan punya opsi untuk berpikir jernih. Saya pendengar setia Coldplay. Saya hafal beberapa lagu populernya. Tapi tidak menjadikan saya merasa harus mengeluarkan uang banyak untuk menikmati lagu-lagu yang sudah saya tahu. Meski saya punya cukup uang untuk itu, tetap tidak akan saya lakukan. Tapi, itu saya lho ya. Kita boleh berbeda pendapat, silakan.

I’ve lived in Amman, Jordan for the last year, and since I’m going back home to the states in a week, I wanted to share some of my favorite places in the city (I’m not gonna pretend like I’m a local or that I know everything, but still wanted to share these!).

First of all, cafes. This one is very important as it made up 70% of my going out experiences in Amman. My favorite is Sade Cafe in Jabal Amman. They have tons of cats that wander in and out of the cafe. The staff is really nice. It’s never really crowded. Also they have chess boards! (Which is really a plus since a lot of places don’t let you play chess or cards because they think you are gambling). Finally, the Mexican hot chocolate is fire. Literally.

Close second is Manara. The view from the terrace particularly around sunset is amazing, and it’s also super big so you can go there to study without having to order anything. That said I love the Spanish lattes there. And! They have punch cards for free drinks. Don’t forget those! They also sometimes I believe do film screenings on the roof, and I highly recommend those.

Shout out to Jungle Fever as well! Near the big blue King Abdullah Masjid. The art gallery below is really cool, and the cookies there are very good (by Western dessert in Amman standards).

Speaking of desserts, trying kanafa is a must in Jordan! No doubt in your first week (or even day) in the country you will hit up Habibahs. The kanafa there is excellent (although I have to admit the best I’ve ever had I watched someone make by hand over an actual fire in the woods). However! I personally believe the kanafa at Bab Al-Yemen (or as my friend once accidentally said Yab Al-Bamen) is better. Do yourself a favor, go there and get the kanafa with the Karak tea.

My personal favorite Arabic dessert is Awameh, but I never found any amazing places for this in Amman. If you know any, let me know!

Final and most important point on desserts, if you have a birthday coming up in Jordan, order the ice cream cake at Bekdash (the berry cheesecake flavor one). I believe there are multiple branches in the city, but we always go to the one in Wast Al-Balad.

Now that I have said the words Bab Al-Yemen, I got to say… I think it’s overrated. It’s worth going to, don’t get me wrong. The fahsa slaps. But I don’t think it’s as good or as cheap as everyone makes it out to be. Also sometimes… they try to scam you.

On the topic of scams, in my opinion, avoid all the restaurants above the ground level in Balad. The food is not that good and is overpriced because I guess it’s farther from the ground?? If you want to eat in Balad, go to Sharezade. The arayes there are so good, and I don’t even like arayes. When I say avoid all places above ground level, I am not talking about the Ezwetti Initiative (although they are more of a quick sandwich stand). Really anything up that set of stairs (the cafes and shops) is good. There’s a cute Palestinian jewelry and clothing shop up there too, although I can’t remember the name.

I will probably add to this later, but for now, a quick lightning round.

Alloy, it’s a jewelry shop in Jabal Amman. Everything there is really cute and unique. It’s all vintage or handcrafted by the man who owns the shop. Definitely check it out for you or your loved ones.

Shisha! I love Ayyam Zaman on Rainbow Street, mostly for nostalgia reasons. Also Beit Baladna in Lwebdeh is nice, but some of my friends have warned me against the tiramisu there.

You have to go to Bait Al-Roman. It’s a juice place, and it’s also in Jabal Amman. A worker there once recommended to me the Mango Passionfruit flavor, and I have not found a better one yet.

If you happen to be in the Sports City/Shmeisani area, go to Tash bakery. Specifically, you have to order their zataar manaqeesh with the stuffed cheese crusts. Best thing I’ve ever had. Your welcome.

Maybe this is cliche, but my favorite spot in the city is the Citadel. Please go. Particularly around sunset.

That’s it for now! Of course, listen to locals above me. Also, pretty much all food in restaurants pale in comparison to food made at home here. Seriously, try to get adopted by a local family here and let them feed you mansaf, msakhan, and malouba at home (and makmoura too if you are lucky). okay i hope this doesn't sound offensive or anything but i have a muslim friend and we're like part of a small friend group together. we're pretty close but the thing is i have a cat. so everytime we decide to hang out she doesn't come to out hangout if i'm coming, because she says that muslims can't interact with cats and i own like 2 cats. so everytime we go out i have to cancel on them if she decides to go or they just make plans without me. and i feel bad because of me owning a cat the two of us are not able to hang out. if i send my cat away from home for sometime, can i hang out with her then? and also can you please explain to me if muslims can't interact with cats? i am so so sorry if this sounds rude and is offensive but i am not a muslim and all the information i have on the islamic religion is either because of documentaries, my parents or my friend. thank you for taking time out of your day to read this. happy Ramadan

No no it isn't offensive. I'm glad you put forth your query here. Muslims can interact with cats. It's nowhere said that having come across cats is not allowed in Islam and that we should stay away or refrain from interacting with people who own them. Our Prophet (PBUH) never despised cats in anyway. And we can always find cats in Masjid E Haram too! There is no way that having cats will cause her to stay away or not interact with you or your cats. 😭I don't get why she is doing that. Maybe she is allergic to cats or might have had a bad experience with cats in the past. You should try asking her if there is something that might have caused her to despise cats or something ( :( I'm sorry you had to face that.)

Ujian

Kau tau, ujian apa kiranya yang luar biasa besar itu?

Ujian tentang waktu

Sebagai anak yang ndak suka main sosmed sejak SD SMP SMA, aku beranggapan bahwa sosmed hanya akan menghabiskan waktu ku. Buku tidak terbaca. Waktu istirahat berkurang. Belajar terganggu sama ingatan video lucu atau sekedar video kucing the cat. Maka, aku berencana, tidak akan memiliki sosmed terkhusus IG sewaktu duduk di bangku sekolah. Iya, aku baru memilki IG waktu kuliah. Itu pun karena tugas ospek 2019 dulu.

Adaa beberapa alasan :

1. Menurutku, memiliki IG adalah suatu keputusan yang membutuhkan kedewasaan. Iya. Kenapa?

Karena bagiku, aplikasi seperti ini akan terus berkembang untuk membuat pemakai nya menjadi kecanduan. Dulu nya hanya IG story, skrng ada live IG. Dulu adanya feeds video, sejarang ada reels, yang kalau dipikir semakin membuat kita 'terjebak' dalam IG. Aku melihat betul bagaimana teman teman ku bermain IG pada saat pertama kali IG diluncurkan waktu dulu kelas 8 SMP atau 2014. Namanya juga SMP 1 Solo, tidak mungkin se terbelakang itu untuk mendapatkan update terbaru ttg apa yang menjadi tren saat itu.

Dan satu satunya anak yang bertahan untuk tidak membuat akun adalah.... Nadya Gifary :) Kelas 8A hehe

Alasannya, sibuk. Tapi bukan sibuk organisasi atau masuk dalam OSIS atau Pramuka (Dewan Galang). Sibuk belajar, karena pada saat itu, Nadya punya target membawa 3 piala dalam tiap satu semester. Ambis banget jujur. Juga mempertahankan ranking kelas maupun pararel (ampuni hamba yang dulu mungkin pernah sombong yaAllah). Tapi pada saat itu, insyaAllah niat nya hanya satu, membuat mama ayah bangga.

Lanjut, SMA. Di tengah hingar binar SMA N 1 Solo atau orang menyebutnya sebagai sekolah negeri paling elit (padahal engga) se Solo, Nadya tetap teguh pendirian. Ndak pernah main, ndak main sosmed, kalau ada acara yang kurang jelas dan bercampur baur (misal suporter DBL, class meeting yang harus ke sana kemari, berdesak desakan dll), Nadya pilih lari dan mlipir ke UNS buat kajian (sok sokan mahasiswa ; bahkan dulu dah hafal mapping UNS wkwk), ke Goro Assalam (buat cari printilan muslimah), ke Masjid Muchlisin buat sekedar sholat dan kajian pagi, ke Togamas (srkng kata temen2 dah nda ada), ke Arpusda, ke Gramed (Slamet Riyadi yuhu), atau sekedar membaca sejarah di MonPers. Agak lain, tapi juga bukan yang paling baik. Memang sedikit untuk bisa menemukan teman yang se frekuensi. Di tengah semua orang memainkan hp untuk sosmed nya, untuk share story, untuk buat feeds, Nadya tetep teguh pada buku yang ia temui di Arpusda wkwkw. Tapi jeleknya, ya ndak tau apa yang sedang terjadi skrng. Berita-berita terbaru, kabar SMANSA yang viral di IG, atau sekedar melihat apa yang sedang dibicarakan anak².

Tapi rasanya betul juga, "memang tidak semua hal perlu kita ketahui dalam hidup". Coba deh dilihat, ndak semua berita di IG itu sifatnya penting dan mendesak. Lalu untuk apa berlama lama untuk scroll video dan post yang nda akan pernah habis ? >> Ini pemikrian ku waktu SMA.

Mending waktunya dibuat baca buku di perpus, diskusi sejarah atau ndak research materi debat.

Dimana letak kedewasaannya?

Iyah! Aku juga bingung dimana. Tapi menurutku untuk bisa menetukan mana yang penting untuk saat itu, mana yang ndak darurat, mana yang mendesak, mana yang tidak, rasanya sudah bisa tau kalau sosmed itu ndak berguna (untuk saat itu, karena memang tidak ada kepentingan). Hanya membuat lelah, capek, menghabiskan waktu dan kuota (juga saku), dan akhirnya tugas yang lebih penting akan terbengkalai ; belajar.

2. Buku Tidak Tersentuh

Lanjut, ujiannya sekarang ada pada bangku kuliah. Pada saat 2019, atau maba, akhirnya sudah memberikan diri menyematkan simbol "Cukup dewasa buat punya IG", terlebih ada kepentingan berupa tugas upload twibbon dan video edukasi cuci tangan. Kalau nda ada dua tugas itu, kayaknya sampe skrng akan bertahan ndak punya IG deh hehe.

Awal awal, menurutku begitu mudah untuk bisa membatasi. Ndak terbawa, ndak terngiang2 atau tidak terdistraksi. Biasa aja gitu rasanya punya IG. Ndak ada yang perlu diupload selain tugas ospek hehe.

Lambat laun, satu semester, dua semester, tiga semester, ternyata aku kecolongan. Banyak hal yang terasa berubah. Intensitas main hp naik tinggi. Buku ditinggalin. Kajian mager. Ke pondok buat ngaji, mager karena alasan ngantuk, capek, ada tugas praktikum, tugas TM, tugas tutorial dll.

Awalnya aku menyangka, tapi ternyata IG lah biang keroknya huhuhu. Ternyata, sering banget main IG, bukuku ndak kesentuh. Buku selemari yang aku bawa dari Solo, akhirnya ndak tersentuh. Di situ aku sedih dan menanyakan, "dimana Nadya Gifary sih perpus berjalan itu pergi?" Kok, bukunya itu aja. Ndak ada upgrade, ndak ada kemajuan, bahkan tidak tersentuh :(

Akhirnya, 2020 akhir, aku membuat evaluasi dan resolusi baru untuk 2021. Apa? Iya. Membuat alur membaca buku dan membuat pengelompokkan jenis buku. Muslimah dengan Allah, muslimah dengan diri sendiri, muslimah dengan orangtuanya, muslimah dengan suaminya, muslimah dengan anak anaknya sampai pada ilmu keluarga. Terlalu dini sih untuk anak semester 4 untuk berfikir se kedapan itu. Tapi memang demikian. Aku merubah rencana hidup, yang dulunya waktu SD SMP SMA, hanya terfokus pada target lomba, sekarang mulai fokus belajar agama dan sedikit² mengenal dunia organisasi (menurutku ini hal baru), dan saat itu diberi amanah menjadi Kadep Kemuslimahan th 2021. Mulai sedikit² belajar wkwk telat banget yah. Dan yang terpenting adalah membatasi IG, dengan cara uninstall IG untuk waktu aktif setiap bloknya (Minggu 1 - Minggu 5) dan baru install lagi pada minggu pasif atau minggu libur (Minggu ke 6 atau setelah OSCE).

Sebegitu versus nya yah dengan IG, sangat musuhan wkwkw. Maka, jangan heran kalau sampe skrng pun, sering banget install - uninstall IG. Apalagi pada saat koass, rasanya waktu jauh lebih fleksibel mengikuti stase yang sedang ditempuh.

Semoga diberikan keistiqomahan selalu untuk mengatur ujian waktu nya dengan baik. Karena sungguh, ujian tentang waktu adalah perkara yang besar. Bisa jadi membuat terlena atau bahkan terlupakan.

Kalau yang dibawah ini adalah beberapa langkah kiat untuk menpasrahkan. Sungguh ujian ini begitu besar, begitu rumit, juga begitu menyesakkan. Bantu hamba yaAllah. Hamba serahkan kepadaMu ya Allah :)

this weeks been too much, whole damn rainbow of human emotion and every stage of grief rotating like a wheel spinner. i went to the greek orthodox church nearby today, its closer than any masjid, and orthodox churches will always be home to me. it was closed apparently, apparently in america churches like this aint open all the time, but some kind old ladies who were suprised to see me allowed me to go in. there was noone else, it was quiet, the walls were of turquoise blue mosaic and it smelled of frankincense and myrrh. a shelter which feels familar in this cold and foreign place. i stayed for awhile, im glad i did. a moment of grounding in all this. these days, i have been feeling the presence of god in everything. these days ive remembered, nothing goods ever come out of me shielding myself from it. but now it is late, and i feel nothing, not even numb, just nothing, empty. i ate earier, it was not, but to me it was tasteless, bland, texture and shape and colour and all, nothing. i wish for nothing, i want nothing, i want to do nothing, i dont even want to do nothing because thats something. i feel like the hum of empty black space inbetween stars and planets and galaxies, simply, void. my cat has come to keep me company though, and that, i appreciate. her company is always simple and nice, at most annoying at times. i wish too, the world was like this. a little more nice, more soft, quieter and simpler. mostly, i just wish for nothing at all

Rumah - Ibbas, Done

Alhamdulillah saya ucapkan karena pada pukul 10 waktu indonesia barat tadi, target sejak 2020 lalu telah tercapai. Oh senangnya... *berusaha tetap chill

Yak wkwkwk jadi sejak lulus SMA dan cukup sering berlari salah satu target yang entah kok kepikiran adalah lari ke Pondok dari Rumah. Ga deket, sekitar 39 kilo kalo diputerin lewat tugu Kartasura, bisa lebih deket kalo ga muter.

Itung itung sekalian latian buat Jogja Marathon minggu depan, ah cobalah tak ke Pondok. Selama H-1 yaitu pas Sabtu kemarin, alhamdulillah bisa dibilang sangat excited dan ga sabar buat segera coba besoknya. Dan cukup percaya diri juga, cuma masi ada ragu ragu nya hehe, makanya baru upload SW mau lari, ya paginya, ga malemnya, takit gajadi kayak dua tahun belakangan Hehe.

Selama lari, pas mulai jujur ini termasuk yg enjoy bgt, pertama karena emang udah excited, kedua karena sadar ya, kali ini larinya sangat jauh wkwkwk dibanding biasanya, jari kecepatannya ga ngoyo, target HR maks ya Zona 4 tapi tetep diusahain Zona 3 ke bawah dengan pace rata rata 5:30/km. Ketiga, karena udah sepekan lebih TWS rusak, ketika coba lari sambil musikan rasanya, asik aja gt hehe. Dan keempat, karena pagi, suasana terik tak ada, adem, ayem, tentrem jalanannya, enjoynya luar biasa. Bahkan sampai Slamet Riyadi, Purwosari, kek masi amaan bgt, mantap. Baru habis itu...

Jalan yang awalnya CFD mulai beralih ke jalan biasa, pagi yang adem mulai beralih ke terik matahari pelan pelan, dan suara TWS yang mulai mengecil, mulai memunculkan sekelebat "waduh" di dada, buset bahasanya, biasa aja kali napa wkwkwk, oke. Oiya sama beberapa kali mau sendawa, tapi kok gabisa bisa, mesti kek ada yg ikutan naik, bikin agak begah dikit lah perutnya. Tapi karena masi awal pergantian suasananya, kondisi nafas masi terkendali, dan kaki belom pegel, alhamdulillah masi bisa stabil pacenya.

Baru mulai 20+ yaaa bolela istirahat hehe, sejak tadi berhenti cuma di km 16 minum pertama, yg malah bikin agak tambah isi perutnya wkwkwk, waduh. Tapi masi belum sesering itu, berhenti cuma kalo emang pas lagi agak begah aja perutnya, dan itu kek cuma under satu menit, paling pol ya 2 menitan lah. Kayak gitu terus sampe sekitar km 30 an, tiba tiba...

Kaki pegaaaaaaaal bangeeeeet, awikwok.

Jadi, kukira awalnya, kalo emang udah 21an kilo aja bisa kalem kakinya, mau dipanjangin sepanjang panjangnya, ya kalem aj, pasti bisa. Ternyata enggak. Wah pegalnya ini luar biasa, dipake lari pegel, dibawa jalan, eh lha kok tambah wkwkwk yowes akhirnya beberapa kali berhenti lebih lamaaan daripada yg pas 20k+, stretching bagian hamstring sama betis karena emang disitu aja pegelnya, walau ga terlalu ngaruh, tapi okela. Ke Alfa, di Delanggu, beli Pocari, mayan juga lah, walau cuma bertahan beberapa menit aja, trus pegelnya dateng lagi. Alhasil, daripada gaada progres, mending jalan biar maju terus.

Jalan lari jalan lari, jalan jalan jalan lari jalan lagi, wkwkwk. Akhirnya keliatan Alfamart deket penggung dari kejauhan, karena jalan Solo Yogya udah panas bet, lurus terus lagi, bosen, belok masuk gang, lebih nyaman. Maju maju maju, agak banyak jalannya hehe, mulai keliatan nih, landmark landmark jalan Troso - Penggung yang masi bertahan.

(dengan asumsi otw nya dari Penggung) Masjid ijo kiri jalan, patung pemanah, konter konter hape tempat dulu cari hedset sama mp3, SD, apotek, dan Masjid Joglo sampe Akhirnya, Ibnu Abbas yang sekarang mesjidnya udah gede, gapake dinding kaca, cat bangunannya ijo ijo, linkungan sekitar yang juga lebih ijo dan rindang, kompleks kamar mandi masjid yang masi sama aja tegel biru wkwkwk, pun satpam kesayangan rakyat Troso, Pak Asep dan Pak... waduh lali wkwkwk yang masi setia menjaga dan deket dengan santri. Luar biasa.

Baru dateng, sapa pak satpam, minum, istirahat duduk bentar, dan disapa sama santri, eh ternyata anggota halaqoh (mentoring) ku pas kelas 12 dulu, Alim yang ternyata sepupune Zahra, aku kelas 12 dia dulu kelas 7, alhamdulillah jadi ada yang ngajak ngobrol (selain pak satpam) selama istirahat. Sempet bahas kedokteran juga, kok belum koas, awikwok. dan lain lain. Ga lama ternyata beliau dijenguk, saya lanjut ke masjid mau sujud syukur dulu hehehehehehehe.

Kelar masjid, balik, langsung ga lama pesen gojek, sambil nunggu, eh diajak ngobrol sama bapak2, yang ternyata kenal Nayaka, dan beliau adalah reserse polsek, ngobrol yaa seputar kehidupan anak beliau yang lagi sekolah dan sedikit hal lain. Gojek dateng, saya pamit, bapak e juga pamit, tapi saya duluan, tiba tiba, disamperin, eh kamu pelari to, saya juga. Ya sambil di jalan sirothol mustaqim, ngobrol dikit, pisah lagi, otw penggung, nunggu bis lama, ke alfa dulu, nunggu lagi dapet, alhamdulillah, Solo i am coming. Jadi kalo ada yang bilang saya PP lari, itu hoak harap jangan dipercaya, sekarang masi mustahil mungkin, tapi suatu saat nanti, pas tua, moga bisa aamiin.

Sampe solo, solat dulu, nunggu bentar, alhamdulillah terima kasi sanget matur nuwun arigato syukron, mas Solon datang dengan mantapnya menjemput, walau agak salah si, aku di pintu keluar arah Solo, beliau di pintu keluar Jogja :) Ya akhirnya jalan lagi dikit hehe, numpak, gas, ngobrol biasa, tapi yg ini beneran kedengeran, ga koyo biasane sok supir e ngomong opo, sing dibonceng daripada gaenak, kita, dengan menyesuaikan intonasi yg terdengar, hoo ya pak, oh poyo?! wkwkwk, hmm bener pak. WKWKWKWK. alhamdulillah terdengar. Sampeeee, akhirnya di Rumah.

Eh pada lagi makan diluar. Rumah dikunci. Untung tadi bawa makanan yang dikasi Alim dari Uminya, hatur nuhun sanget Alim dan ibu, jazaakumullah khayran katsiron. Kelar makan, yang makan di luar dateng, masuk, mandi, cuci, tidur dan Terima kasih. Tunggu cerita Jogja Marathon pekan depan, insyaaa allah, dan mohon doa baiknya, makasi.

Eh eh kelupaan, entah juga kenapa, ini pun yg terjadi post Tektok Lawu Cetho kemarin, kan sbenere saya ada nyeri dengkul, lha kok habis dibawa lari malah enakan wkwkwkwk. dan sebagai evaluasi, mestinya penambahan strength training sama stretching biar kuat dipake lebih lama. sekiaaaan hehe.
