HMM been listening to a lot of Otoboke Beaver! Also, a friend got me into re-listening to Los Prisioneros' album Corazones. My favorite filler has been Rodrigo y Gabriela's instrumental tracks ⭐
bestie gi @pinknoisemp3 tagged me to share my 9 albums of 2022!!! ty that was v fun to do and think abt!!!
criteria for being a nica album of the year were: °albums i listened to front to back a lot, not just albums where i loved a couple individual songs, °albums that actually set the vibe and made me think of a lot, °albums i liked (ofc), °albums that i either discovered or came out this year OR if they're old favorites, °albums that were particularly relevant, and °albums that were somehow in pace w my character development

“I’m Sleeping in the Forest Tonight” -Indie music. Very chill vibes- like sitting by a campfire with your woodsy friends who all wear Earthy tones and have cute beanies. (Gregory Alan Isakov, Sufjan Stevens, Lord Huron...just to name a few)
“Art”- Indie. I use this one for writing a lot. Music that tells a story, or part of one, or just makes you feel good. (Hozier, Gang of Youths, The Amazing Devil)
“For Villains of Every Era”- Em? Envision a- uh- villain from the 1920s in the US. Some of it gives a little bit of an old western days vibe. Idk, it’s immaculate and I guarantee it will satisfy your villainistic means. (Mother Mother, Shayfer James, Rob Cantor, The Crane Wives, Dirt Poor Robins)
“Is this the end?”- end of the world, slightly badass (Adele, Rihanna, Woodkid, SYML, Fall Out Boy). Very minimal use of metal bands, you can always hide the songs you don’t like!
“Alter Ego” -mad alternative/skater vibes. (Fall Out Boy, Gorillaz, Arctic Monkeys, The Neighborhood, Foster The People, Greenday, Paramore...I don’t think I need to list more)
“POV: you’re a vampire and you lost your mortal lover”- Indie. Can you tell I really like indie music? Anyway...this one sounds cliché, but it’s really sweet and I think the title gives it a good perspective. (Sufjan Stevens, Iron & Wine, Lord Huron, SYML, Kodaline, Keaton Henson)
“you are dying and this is all which you cannot portray”- Metal/rock. Similar to the vampire playlist, but make it a different genre. (Seether- mostly this band, Breaking Benjamin, Staind)
“105.5 before it was country”- local radio station that had alternative/folksy music. They abruptly stopped broadcasting and the country folk took over. (Fitz and The Tantrums, Neon Trees, Florence + The Machine, Cold War Kids, Of Monsters and Men, Train, OneRepublic, fun.) This was my FAVORITE type of music when I was in middle school...ten-ish years ago?

There are others on my page, but they’re more personal playlists and don’t really have themes. Some of them are just chaotic playlists that I use at the gym 😂
Hi Maty, hast du irgendwelche deutsche Podcast Empfehlungen? Irgendwas damit ich es bis zur nächsten Amelia season aushalten kann! 😊
Whelp, I didn't expect that. I have to say, I don't really listen to any German Podcasts, since I have yet to find a German Fiction Podcast. I know there are some translations of SCP Archives episodes? But I honestly haven't looked into that too much. I can recommend podcasts to you, though?
Primordial Deep.
Take Wolf359 but make it underwater. I won't say more except that JORDAN COBB and don't listen when you have to rest your eyes because I was scared out of my socks for a second there. Also, it's in the same universe as Janus Descending and Descendants is apparently out?? I only saw that yesterday so I might have to retreat to the vents and listen to that.
Micro-Cosmos. @microcos-pod
Currently on break, but found family on a planet? Felix is a mood. I don't want to spoil anything but god this podcast is so good. I love every character. I love the premise.
Once again, @starstrider-productions ' The Pilgrimage
Am I biased because I'm both queer and autistic? I don't know. I binged through most of it in one day while painting, basically hiding from everything because I was captured. They are also still crowdfunding their last season I think! So check that out!!!
The Secret Of St. Kilda 👀
It has Alan, our Interviewer, it has... a not-cult, it has twists you don't expect and also... No. I am not saying anything else because that podcast is - as well - better enjoyed without knowing what awaits you. People acted as if they would be snatched away if they spoilered me so... I wonder what that is about, @thekilda ?
just seen ur reblog of my recs and i’m so sorry for making u cry bb :,( you all deserve the recognition for being amazing writers n just being lovely people <333 love u lots

NO it's happy tears mati!! feel free to make me cry any day (lol) IT WAS SO SWEET and i would love to do something similar one day soon!
Song recs, eh? I have a playlist I use for writing (a couple, actually, but this is the main one). All indie music- some low radar artists (no metal- I read you don’t like it). Anyway. There is that.
I would also like to offer an idea. I used to ask my followers for songs they wanted turned into a story/prompt and then write based off what they gave me. Every suggestion got put into a playlist that I called “Amethyst Maties.” That way I didn’t lose any recommendations (prone to guilt over here) and I could also see the neat mix of music my followers enjoyed :)
EYYYYYY LETS GOOOOO!!! I’ll definitely check it out and YOU ALL should do that too!!
Tabi! I have been obsessed with your aromantic playlist since you posted it, and several of the songs have been on my own repeat playlist since then, so I was wondering if you have any other songs that would fit that playlist that you didn't include (or have since found?). I'm particularly obsessed with No Lover by Jetty Bones 😍
i'm so glad you like it! (made for my pride month aro gifset, listen to it here) while making that playlist, i listened to another much longer aro playlist that i just found on spotify, so here's some songs from that that made it onto my liked songs but that i didn't include, plus some other songs that i found later that vibe with it.
