Matthew Paul Miller - known by his Hebrew name Matisyahu is a Jewish reggae singer. In 2018 he asked 3,000 Muslims and Jews in Haifa (none of whom had ever met before) to come together and learn the song "One Day" with him in less than an hour. Not only that, they also learned to sing and harmonize the song in three different languages. The concert that resulted from this brings the spirit of the new era into the world. There is an incomprehensible power inherent in the spirit of UNITY, LOVE and CONNECTION. Carrying this power TOGETHER into the world is the new WE ❤️

15. A song that is a cover by another artist

Hurt, originally by Nine Inch Nails, covered by Johnny Cash. Cash’s version, recorded several months before his 2003 death, was essentially his swan song. Trent Reznor, the Nails’ lead singer, even went so far as to say “that song isn’t mine anymore”. It’s just a super heartwrenching iteration.

28. A song by an artist with a voice that you love

One Day by Matisyahu. I don’t usually listen to a lot of reggae, so his voice definitely stands out amongst artists I listen to. I love the mix of reggae and hip hop in this one.
