31 Days Idol Challenge - Oliver Riedel

Day 13 - Being Goofy

While the public often gets to see a serious Oliver Riedel, the man definitely has humour. Since Oliver doesn't speak a lot in public, it is difficult to know how he is in private, but from the glimpses we get, his sense of humour seems to be quite physical.

My pick for this is my video of Oliver on Puppe Cam in Oslo, 24.07.2022. While it may be a little hard to catch, he enters with his in-ear lights off - but then they get turned on as he gets a bright idea! I really love it, it's funny and clever, and he actually did it again in Chorzów this year.

Bonus material: 1) Oliver deciding to follow Flake during Los in Nîmes 2005, my gif. 2) Oliver having fun in Philadelphia, from Jens Koch's video. The outfit in itself also qualifies as pretty goofy, I'd say... My screenshot. 3) Oliver sliding around in a chair during the M&G in Helsinki. I'm afraid I don't remember who made these gifs, so sorry! 4) Oliver and Flake surprising people at a M&G, unknown photographer. 5) Paul "shooting" Oliver into a pool, by Olaf Heine. 6) How can I not take yet another opportunity to post the photo of Oliver cooling down his ass after trying (and succeeding) to light his farts on fire, by Matthias Matthies. 7) Oliver and Paul having fun in a boat, gif by unknown. 8) When the bridge didn't work and the guys couldn't crawl across with Schneider holding their leashes, Oliver decided to crawl anyway. Gif by unknown. 9) Last but not least, a grinning Oliver randomly hanging in a pole outside of his and Paul's dressing room, by Jens Koch.

I could also mention stuff like Oliver and Paul having fun with hiding stuff in their sleeves during Making of Rosenrot, young Oliver showing a "magic trick" in the In Amerika documentary, Oliver wiggling his eyebrows in the same documentary, Oliver trying to lift Paul on stage, Oliver singing at the end of the Making of Radio, Oliver randomly bursting out singing the "yodeling" part of Dragostea din tei Majahi Majahoo in one of the recent backstage videos...

How can you not love this man!

Mit Freude kann ich berichten, dass es einen positiven Verkaufsstart auf der 34. Kunstbörse des Kunstvereins Schloss Wiligrad gegeben hat und diese bis zum 26. Januar 2025 verlängert wurde. Wer sich also noch vielfältige Kunst in den wunderbaren Räumlichkeiten des Schlosses Wiligrad anschauen und erwerben möchte, der hat dazu bis zum 26. Januar 2025 also noch Gelegenheit dazu. "¿qué? ¡no!" exclamación sale sin querer, sin recuperarse completamente del súbito sobresalto que ha provocado la pregunta, sin haber reparado en su presencia antes, demasiado acostumbrada a los silencios y a la soledad en aquel lugar y con su mente enfocada en el motivo que la llevo ahí. "tampoco creo que las personas confiesen saber algo" mucho menos probable con los acontecimientos de los últimos días. entrecejo se contrae, gesto pensativo. "¿te preocupa algo?" la pregunta vienen de un sentimiento de curiosidad genuino, matthias que siempre le ha perecido tan ilegible y cada platica se siente como entrar a trompicones a un campo minado. "papá sigue mencionando este lugar y en ocasiones vengo a-, no sé..." explica entonces, algo escueto, es consciente de ello, pero no cree poder expresar con palabras sus fundamentos "...no pensé encontrarte en este lugar" .

📍zona norte: iglesia abandonada.

se encuentra en una pequeña tarea que había prometido a su progenitor que realizaría apenas tuviera un momento libre, y la mirada avizora se centra en los antiguos restos de lo que había sido un lugar destinado a la fe. los grafitis y daños causados por los infames eventos musicales no pasan desapercibidos, y se limita a tomar un par de fotografías antes de enviárselas a uno de los contratistas que han trabajado con la familia. la sensación de no estar en soledad (extraño en aquel lugar que no debería atraer a nadie), le hace volverse sin prisa, hablando antes de reconocer siquiera de quién se trata: "no sabrás algo de las bandas de rock que tocan aquí, ¿no?" es hasta entonces que su vista se eleva a ahora acompañante, simple curiosidad presente en tono de voz.

Having children with Matthias

❀Matthis knew he would have a family with you from the moment the two of you met. He couldn't wait to raise a family, to raise them differently from how he was. To give them a better quality of life.

❀Matthias would be a firm but fair parent. He'd want the best for them but he understands what having too strict parents can do.

❀If you were to have sons, he'd want to teach them everything he knows. how to hunt for food, how to create a shelter, and the signs to look for danger. They would be well-versed in numerous weapons. He would want them to be able to look after themselves, you and any potential daughters you may have.

❀If you had a daughter they have him wrapped around their finger. He's willing to give them anything they want. They would be his little princess.

❀However, he would also teach them how to survive. However, he'd also push harder on self-defense. Your daughter would be able to protect themselves, she would know how to use any weapon Matthias could teach her to use.

❀They would not be taught to fear or disrespect Gresha. He grew up to hate and hunt those different from him. Since meeting Nina she's changed his view of the world. They would not be raised the same way he was.

❀Matthias is an active part of their lives. He doesn't care where he's doing, you and the children will always be his priority. Nothing to Matthias is more important.

❀Matthis always planning and being involved in your children's activities. He's an active parent. He's a supportive parent. He's a good father.

❀Matthias would read to their children every night. He'd tell them grand stories about his adventures, about heroes and villains. However, his favorite stories to tell them include both of you. The adventures the two of you have been on together.

❀Matthias wants his children to know they can be anything they wish to be. He's going to support them no matter what. The world is there to make the best of it and it's never too late to change your mind. If he hadn't, he probably wouldn't have met you.

In 2009, Till Lindemann described a disturbing practice he experienced at the nation’s school. “There was a so-called “class assignment’. We recieved political training, for example, in theory lessons we had to create folders on current events,” said Lindemann to Metal Hammer. “After these lessons, it was usually straight on to blood irradiation: the treatment was intended to get more oxygen into the circulation during extreme stress. A cannula was inserted into the crook of the arm and blood was drawn from there. It then ran in a hose over a kind of plate on which it was irradiated. Then, driven by the heart, it flowed back into the body. We always lay there for around two hours until the procedure was over.”

31 Days Idol Challenge - Oliver Riedel

Day 19 - Showing Back

Since Oliver still plays concerts "oberkörper frei", it is not that difficult to find photos of his back. Oliver has a lean and muscular body, and even though he is now in his 50s, he is in great shape.

While he painted his body dark for the entire 2023 Europe Stadium Tour, if anything, darker complexions can make muscles pop in bright light. My pick for this challenge is a photo from Budapest by Matthias Matthies. The contrast colours in the photo make it really stunning.

Bonus material: 1) Another photo from 2023 Europe Stadium Tour, this time from Brussels taken by Jens Koch. I love when Oliver and Richard find together on stage, and this photo from Mein Teil is such a great example of that. 2-3) Screenshots from the Making of Rosenrot. The band members didn't want to use make-up for the flagellation, instead they drank vodka and went out in the cold and whipped themselves. 4) I love the atmosphere in this photo by Frédéric Batier, from Völkerball, where Oliver takes a moment for himself in Budapest 2005. 5) Oliver getting his in-ears taped to his back, by Jens Koch 2019. 6) Screenshot from one of Jens Koch's videos 2023. 7) Silly little promo video for the Mein Land music video, where we see Oliver and the girls. It does show his back though. 8) Oliver during the shooting of the Mein Land music video, from the photo book by Frédéric Batier. 9) I guess these last two photos are what people expected. First out, Andreas Mühe's photo of Oliver, naked, in Winnipeg 2012... 10) ...and finally, Missy Funnybunny's photo of Oliver, taken in Paris 2012. This is probably the most well-known photo of Oliver's back, and deservedly so. It is really good.
