69 for Wyn and Qiu
50 was What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out -- Gang of Youths, so this was sad...
Context is that between Steps 2 and 3 Wyn tries to run away from home and ends up getting hurt and messing up his lungs pretty bad. This takes place after he gets home from the hospital!
---
I want to know if I'm hurt and if I'm understood see if the selfish desires some stupid thing
---
Qiu stands on the Twilight’s porch, facing the door. One hand clenches and unclenches at their side, the other white-knuckled around the straps of a bag. They shake their hair back from their face, press their shoulders back, try to look confident despite the nervous rhythm of their heart in their chest. Then, they reach out and knock.
There’s a long moment of nothing, but then the door creaks open a crack. A single reddish purple eye stares out at them from a sunken face, rimmed with exhaustion.
Qiu holds up the bag and wills their voice to remain steady. “Hey, mom and I made you some osmanthus cakes and I brought some tea… could I come in for a bit?”
The eye glances from the bag back to their face, and then the door opens wider. Qiu accepts the invitation, stepping out of their shoes and nudging them aside as the door is closed once more. Wyn’s shadow looms at their back and they almost don’t want to turn around, mentally chiding themself for being so nervous. Just because they haven’t seen Wyn since he got out of the hospital didn’t mean they got to act all scared at being in close proximity again.
Wyn steps to their side, brushing his hair behind his ear. Their hair has gotten longer and messier since the last time Qiu saw them, the dark cranberry strands still obscuring their right eye. His thin fingers barely peek free from the oversized sleeves of their sweatshirt, nails chipped. They’d been tall and thin ever since hitting their growth spurt, but being sick had made them gaunt, almost fragile. Qiu wonders if they were to reach out… would their hand just pass through him?
They feel knuckles brush against their own, Wyn reaching for the straps of the plastic bag. His words are quiet, voice hoarse and preempted by a short cough. “I can take that for you.”
“No, it’s okay.” Qiu tightens their grip on the bag. “I’ll take care of it. Do you mind if I use your kitchen?”
“Sure.” Wyn’s gaze slips away from theirs, shoulders jerking in a loose shrug. Then they clear their throat, pull in a ragged deep breath, and give a weak shout up the stairs. “Ma, Qiu’s here.”
Qiu tilts their head, distantly making out the sound of Ms. Twilight calling back that she’ll come say hi in a bit. It’s almost funny to them, the child calling up to the parent about guests. Wyn stifles a cough and shuffles into the living room with Qiu behind him, lifting the bag to begin rifling past plastic containers of small cakes for the tin of tea leaves.
Wyn clears their throat again, gesturing weakly to the kitchen appliances, “do you need the kettle? A pot? Saucepan?”
“Kettle is fine! And two mugs if that’s okay.”
He gives them an odd look. “Why wouldn’t it be?”
“Well…” Qiu fights the urge to shift their weight between their feet, trying to hide how nervous they feel. “I don’t want to intrude, but I was hoping we could hang out.”
Wyn stares at them for a moment, long enough that Qiu starts to worry that they’ve already messed up. Then he shrugs and turns to fish the kettle out from a cabinet. “You don’t have to ask.”
“I might not have too, but I should.” Qiu steps closer to them as Wyn turns away from the stove. They reach up and carefully brush his bangs back, revealing that long hidden cranberry eye. “Not everything needs to go unsaid or unasked just because I think I know the answer.”
Wyn swallows hard, eyes darting away from Qiu’s face. They don’t take it to heart, instead retracting their hand and fishing the container of cakes out of the bag. “Here, take these and sit down. I’m supposed to be the one taking care of you.”
He frowns slightly, closing his eyes so he can face them without looking. “In my own home?”
“Yes.” Qiu lets some of their usual sass bleed back into their voice, smirking. “Are you saying there are flaws in my plan?”
“Yes.” Wyn huffs, but takes the container of cakes and retreats to a stool on the other side of the counter. “But… Thank you.”

i have so many thoughts about leliana and my inquisition crew. the only inquisitor who actually trusts her is aurelie and thats only because the other options are templar and seeker. she gets softened but only because atlas is like "you are NOT answering every problem with violence". hes in direct contact with the hero of ferelden who is in contact with the queen and princess (who is the ex of leliana). na'ava is sat in denerim like "did she do that to get back at me". leliana is sat in skyhold like "did she do that to get back at me". she becomes divine because to atlas shes the best of a bunch of terrible options (hates cass and viv) (the gals like viv but none of them get on with cass). they make briala the ruler over puppet emperor gaspard because of elven loyalty, and it's an accidental side benefit that thats who leliana would prefer ruling. anora and na'ava get word in denerim that the inquisition has just made gaspard (ferelden warmongerour) emperor and theyre both like WHAT is leliana PLAYING AT. IS SHE DOING THIS TO GET BACK AT US (shes not. wasn't even her call)

I really like the fact that Cullen is probably the only advisor that doesn't believe that the MC is chosen by the Maker or Andraste or anything. Cassandra believes that the Herald has survived due to the Maker's will, even if that will is a mystery to her. Leliana is hurt and angry that the Herald has survived while Justinia has died, and tries to make sense of it. Even Josie admits that she wants to believe there is something divine going on. And then Cullen, despite being very religious, does not seem to care that much about the whole "Herald of Andraste" thing. I especially love this bit of dialogue in Haven:
Herald: I just hope I can help. Cullen: As do we all. It's enough that you will try.
Like… if I was expected to perform miracles and was worshiped against my will and someone told me that me, just trying to help like anyone else, IS ENOUGH… it would be so comforting.

Here’s a commission I did for @stephschoices and her MC Lili since we’re all in a Luci mood lol. While I code the rest of Luci’s scenes, here’s this to tide you all over 🤲
Remembering the anniversary of a relationship that’s ended is a unique kind of torture, you think. It was once a day you celebrated and now it caused nothing but pain. Time is ruthless, and nothing stays the same.
Well, some things stay the same.
Like how your heart skips a beat when you see him slumped over the railing in the hallway, looking out at the night sky. That’s never changed, and you don’t think it ever will. Lucien Rivera will, perhaps unfortunately, always take your breath away. Then your heart sinks as you see the ruffled wings, the whiskey bottle dangling between limp fingers, the way his head is bowed as if in prayer.
He’s not praying, you know that much. Despite being part angel, Lucien never had much faith in anything.
You approach quietly, your steps silent against the concrete. He’s too far gone to hear you anyways, you realize, reaching out a gentle hand to nudge his shoulder. He spins around, the shitty overhead light reflected in his wide eyes.
It’s quiet for a moment, then your name tumbles out of his clumsy lips, “Leliana”
Maybe it’s providence, be it of fate or the divine or something you aren’t even aware of, that you brought you both here. Maybe it’s your shit luck, or maybe it’s a chance you’ve been wishing for in the depths of your heart. Either way, he’s here and so are you.
“Lucien,” You force his name out, and it feels like the air has been knocked out of your lungs, “I think…I think you’ve had enough.”
You glance pointedly down at the bottle. He looks away.
“I’d disagree,” He mutters.
When you hold your hand out, you don’t expect him to actually hand the whiskey over. He does, though, obediently and with shaking hands. There’s no lid in sight, which tells you he fully planned on drinking the whole thing tonight.
“Is Cameron back at your dorm?” You ask, and the knowledge that you don’t know the ins and outs of his life anymore is like acid on your tongue.
Lucien gives a stilted laugh, “No. He’s with his aunt.”
You offer your arm when he tries to stand on wobbling legs. He stares at it for a long moment, like he isn’t quite sure if he’s imagining it or not. Then he moves gingerly to take it, his skin on yours both foreign and familiar.
You know very well where his dorm is. Perhaps you’re over conscious of it, the fact that he lives just down the hall. It was stinging, at first, that he was so close yet so far. That seems to be the common theme between the two of you.
“Why?” Lucien asks, his gaze dismal.
“You need help,” You say, as if it isn’t tearing you apart from the inside out to be so close to him.
The look he gives you calls you out on the lie, but he’s retained enough manners to say nothing.
You reach his dorm, and he’s left the door unlocked. You’d fret about safety if it was anyone else, but it’s Lucien, so you push the urge down. He ambles to the couch when you release him, sitting in a heap of mussed curls and disheveled feathers. You open the fridge, cringing slightly at the lack of food as you get a bottle of water.
“Drink this,” You say, handing it to him before you drift back into the small kitchen.
The crinkling plastic tells you he listened as you pour the rest of the whiskey out. He doesn’t object, despite seeing you do it. When you turn, his eyes are locked on you, a half empty bottle held in his hands.
“Do you need anything?” You can’t help but ask, surprised when the question makes him wince away.
“You,” He mumbles, sullen and slurred.
At first, you think there’s more to what he’s saying. That he has some request for you. You almost ask a question, to clarify, when the realization strikes you.
It’s just…you.
Perhaps you sit next to him because your knees are weak, or because you feel like you can’t quite breathe, but either way you end up on the couch. His hand is so close to yours, and you long to reach out. When you look up at him, you see he’s looking down at your hands as well. You wonder if he has the same impulse, the same desire.
You think he does. You hope he does.
“Do you-“ You swallow the words down, unsure if you should ask.
Does he remember? Does he know what today is? Or is it just another thing lost, another thing time has consumed in its ruthless pursuit of your memory?
You already risk forgetting his touch, his skin, his smile. The way his voice used to sound, so kind and in love.
“I remember.” He says, voice rough.
Is that better or worse? You don’t know. Then his fingers brush yours, bold, and you lose track of any thoughts you’d been scraping together.
“You should rest,” You say, instead of the thousand other words that threaten to spill out.
“I…” He hesitates, his lip trembling before he bites it, his teeth sinking into the soft flesh.
“I can stay,” You offer, unsure if it’s wanted.
“Please,” He whispers.
It’s wanted. You’re wanted. You thought being forgotten was torture, but this is so much worse. Knowing he wants you and you want him but history and pain and things that can’t be taken back are pushing you apart…
You curse fate, the divine, your luck, whatever it is that brought the two of you to this point.
“Okay,” You nod slightly, “I’ll stay for a bit.”
He leans forward, curling into the couch, tucking his wings around him like a blanket. He keeps ahold of your hand, though, clutching it like a lifeline. He rests his head on the stiff upholstery, turned so he can still watch you.
“Would you sing?” He asks, his voice painfully small.
You falter slightly. He squeezes your hand. He wants you to sing, so you sing. It’s a lullaby, one that lingers in your memory from a past long gone. Just another thing time has ripped away. The Latin spills out easily, as if you know it by heart, your voice shaking just like your mother’s used to.
He doesn’t care. Not about the shaking, or the way your hand trembles in his. He looks at you with shining eyes, fighting the fatigue that threatens to close them. He doesn’t want this to end, and neither do you. In the dim light of the living room, he watches you sing like he’s finally found faith.

so a second article has hit the da fandom and i'm in the part of the "this is genuinely so disappointing i'm considering not actually preordering/playing on release". i'm sure i'll come to terms with it and still get it but this really has been such a blow to my sheer enthusiasm that is like...incredible really for me as a fan invested in this franchise for over a decade to put me (and others) so low lmao
(under a cut bc it got stupidly long, a cookie if you read all of it)
one of the big "reasons" i've seen parroted by the fandom and the justification from the devs is (paraphrasing) you're in the north and all of these major decisions are in the south, which is frankly, stupid? sure, the choices of the divine wouldn't matter too much (if the circles are disbanded or not, for example) but the divine choice itself, should matter? the throne of ferelden? orlais??? these are major characters!
whoever is the sitting ruler of ferelden, regardless of the choice, has obv, lived through a blight not 20 some odd years prior. so one could imagine they would be invested in this, you know, double blight is going on and would like to help or help for their country? given the fact one of the last of the two archdemon prisons is canonly within ferelden!! marketing has also started the blight has spread across thedas, so one would think the current world leaders would be supporting or at least looking to the group seemingly working on stopping the blight. but i guess not since it's not a choice.
even setting aside the lore and plot significance of the majority of choices, even if it truly did not matter, you can say the exact same for choices within dai itself, however the devs knew the desire to have that impact + fan service, even minor, still superseded lore and plot significance. the hof letter and mentions by their romance partner is clearly fan service (since tbh i doubt leliana or morrigan would willingly talk about their partner themselves) but it was also telling you, the player, where your mc was. another example is there is no impact who the sitting king of orzammar is, but the game still mentions in a codex the consequences of that choice, even if the anvil was kept or not in ambient dialogue.
these and many more mattered, not in a world shaping way, but to tell you, the player, yes you played in this world and here's the acknowledgement of it, thank you. i didn't need to decide the fate of the world to enjoy leliana talking about my warden or varric supporting templars because my hawke did, because it still felt like i mattered, that yes this is a world i changed, even in a small way, that i lived in it.
and they removed all of that.
like, hell it was even a good way to "check-in" in choices and characters without dedicating entire plot beats to them! the epilogue for a non-divine!romanced leliana heavily implies she and the warden are still doing their own things but meeting up when hey can. that aside the cure? the fucking cure??? did they find it? did they share it with the other wardens? was it suppressed? the other members of the inquisition were invested in stopping solas, what about them? since you are literally going to their turf, is dorian, josephine, isabela, and even bull okay? is zevran or fenris going to be ignored? fenris had a whole comic about him!
the only way i can take this is being told to no longer be invested in previous material, even material leading up to this game. even if i know that's not really the truth, it really feels that way.
i don't even like the excuse for getting newbies into the series, because, well, dai did that fine WITH returning characters and overall plots lol? there's a loss of some context and dai itself had writing flaws with this method, but it did show you could have both returning and new players work fine, and not alienate said new players despite it being the 3rd game.
speaking of dai, why bother making the choices so endgame linear if they wouldn't of even mattered? why no matter your choice of divine, another group rises up to oppose her? why have the grey wardens going quiet and possibly on the brink of civil war, exiled or no? i had assumed at the time the bottlenecking was future proofing to create less variables, and i guess i was wrong since there are no more variables lol!
i'm genuinely not sure what they truly thought would be the reaction, given they are still trying to pull returning players via the marketing? like. varric, harding, morrigan returning, the focus on the grey wardens as a group (and likely why davrin gets such a spotlight) are all indications for returning players. fuck even solas, no matter what you feel about him, is a returning npc! to resolve his plot!!!
i never truly believed we would see big huge cameos, i did expect the divine, those who live in the north, but otherwise simple codex entries or letters if anything.
but to have.......nothing? be left with nothing? burns.
i do mean this completely honestly: what is the point of investing myself, my time, my money, hell even just interest in this series anymore? without the impact of previous games (or a better lore reason, such as a longer timeskip than 5 fucking years since the last dlc) then this is your run of the mill rpg with better writing than most, but that's all it'd really have. i didn't fully play or get into the series because of the decisions carrying over, but it sure as fuck kept me and others coming back. if this is the norm going forward past da4 then well, might as well pick any other rpg series.

hello hello! thanks for putting your idea out in the world! looking forward to seeing where it goes!
so, i had a question. You said the Swan Princess inspired the A romance. If it isn't a spoiler, could you share any other media that inspired the other ships? Songs, books, etc. Thanks!
These choices don’t have to do with just the romance with the MC — more so their character in general and how that’ll translate into said romance.

So I almost forgot to show off my trainer in Pokemon Scarlet!
You all have seen the awesome art @k-chips did for me, but imma post it again alongside general screens screenshots of her:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Trainer Profile: Samantha Weiss
Age: 17
Nationality: Unovan
Favorite Subject: History, Art, and Biology
Team: Tuesday (Meowscarada), Leliana (Corviknight), N (Zoroark, smaller than usual), Loid (Sylveon), Alder (Volcarona)/Cullen (Pyroar), Riley (Lucario), Koraidon, Zorua (Shiny Zorua)
Born in Unova, cousins with White, Unova’s Champion and who is off searching for N (and who is rumored to be missing). Isn’t a big fan of battling, at least battling other trainers. Prefers exploring/ finding new Pokemon/ picnicking. Wants to be a Pokemon professor someday and aims to complete her pokedex. Her hero is Laventon, the creator of the first pokedex. Fiercely protective of her friends, has a soft spot for Arven. A bean, smol bean.
Totally is in love with him lol
Team Personalities:
Tuesday: Samantha’s starter and one of her aces. A girl. Curious and nurturing. The older sister/mom of the team. Friends with Mabosstiff, originally grooming and laying with them while they were still recovering
Leliana: Named for a video game character. A glutton. Bit of a clutz. Loves shiny things; often chases Gimeghouls around
N: unusually small for a Zoroark. Mischievous and tends to pull tricks. Very protective of Samantha, and gets jealous easily. BFFS with Leliana. Often butts heads with Riley
Loid: Named for a character from an anime. A bit spoiled. Samantha’s other ace. Rather serious. Koraidon fears him, even if Loid could care less about him. Likes Arven.
Alder: A cuddlebug (lol). Used to sit on Samantha’s head as a Larvesta, and still does despite being bigger than her. Named for the former Champion of Unova. Thinks he’s smaller than he really is. Talkative and cheerful
Cullen: Named for a character in a video game. Samantha found him being bullied as a Litleo being bullied by a group of Gastly. Tends to wait and study a foe before attacking. Scared of Ghost types. Loves little kids and Deerling- has befriended several wild and owned Deerling.
Riley: Stern and serious. Rarely speaks. The peacemaker of the group. Often butts heads with N.
Koraidon: Sammich lover. Dislikes battle, so Samantha never forces him to battle. Scared of Loid, even though the Fairy-Type could care less. (In the AI!Clavell AU: Technically Clavell’s, but he requested she keep Koraidon for the time being.)
Zorua: A shiny Zorua Samantha found rummaging through her bag one day. A baby, having assumedly only hatched earlier the same day he met Samantha, he doesn’t battle. Refuses to return to his Pokeball and enjoys traveling around in her arms or in her bag. Jealous of Arven and a bit judgemental of him.
Does she alternate Alder and Cullen? Yes. Do Zorua and Koraidon exceed the limit of 6 Pokémon? Also yes, but I imagine you can keep more if they aren't used in battle- Zorua is a literally baby while Kor isn't a battler and prefers zooming around lol
Is her team (and by extension mine) named for Pokémon and Dragon Age characters besides Tuesday, who is named for my cat? Yes and you can't make me change them this is the first time I fully named a team (my first Riolu/Lucario in every game is always named Riley after he gave us the Riolu egg, one of my favorite (if not favorite) Pokémon movie is Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, (and I may or may not still have a crush on Riley and Sir Aaron since I was little), so he is always named as such but everyone else is a new naming thing I decided to do apparently lol)
She'll be showing up in my Scarlet/Violet fics (WHEN I FINALLY START WRITING THEM 🥲)/drabbles/the occasional headcanon (so I can stop saying Player/MC) and in the AI!Clavell AU (again, when my lazy ass finds energy and motivation and inspiration QAQ)
Might make an old blog an ask blog for her, no idea yet.
Feel free to ask about her!

Propaganda under the cut! (tw rape)
Alfani
Propaganda
He is also part of the Brothel route (he and Dorain Grey share it). He is a prostitute at the Oscar Wilde brothel, and he has absolutely no problem raping MC under his bosses orders, not letting her leave and overall assists his boss in turning MC into a brainwashed sex slave.
Cullen Rutherford
Propaganda
stupid racist cop creep whose fans cry about how hes "changed" and "you can't judge him he was addicted to magic drugs" nah he still chose to be a racist cop and abuse his power over innocent people and i hate him. the writers making him romanceable in da:i after how blatantly horrible he was in da:o and da:2 is baffling but i guess they had to appeal to the part of their audience who watch those "mafia boyfriend" videos on tiktok or whatever
He's creepy in origins, though still 100% willing to kill the female mage pc he's crushing on, as well as all the other mages trapped in the circle with him. He's the second-in-command in an even worse circle in 2, listening to and defending the increasingly obviously insane meredith until literally the end. He's one of the people still pushing for the circle system by inquisition, and yes he's going through withdrawals and working through the traumas of previous games. And to be brutally honest his was the first romance i took and while i don't remember much from it, its not worth all the girls going absolutely nuts over knockoff terrible alistair.
He's basically a cop who thinks being born a certain way can revoke personhood and by Inquisition still thinks mages are monsters to be controlled, not people. He gets a fairy tale cutesy romance that focuses on his personal struggles with addiction while showing absolutely no regard to the atrocities he committed and still thinks were justified. He can be romanced BY A MAGE and his actions and beliefs are just glossed over. He believes mages are 'not people like you (Hawke) and me', but if the Warden was a female mage he canonically had a crush on her and would deliberately hang around her despite the fact that he was her *jailer*. If that Warden romanced Leliana, there is war table dialogue in which he pesters Leliana for news of his 'former' crush despite her repeated statement that she doesn't want to talk to him about her. All this shitty behavior and lack of introspection gets swept under the rug by the game, not even giving the PC the chance to really challenge his beliefs. Like damn even Fenris could apologize when he lashed out due to past trauma with mages, and if anyone has a reason to hate mages it's Fenris. If you want an ex Templar hottie Alistair is RIGHT THERE. Tbh I know Cullen is a popular romance and I'm not here to tell anyone what they can or can't do or like in a video game, I'm just saying I think he is deeply undateable
Spends the first two games as an antagonist, fervently devoted to the cause of subjugating mages, then a bunch of "character development" happens off screen and the games treat him like he's completely reformed. However he's actions make it clear he still sees mages as dangerous and lesser. Not to mention if you romance him with an elf he doesn't pay your culture more than lip service respect like most of the devout characters
He was a total villain in the first two games who was violently prejudiced against mages and uses one single bad experience as an excuse for it (a bad experience that is pretty much exactly what he in his job subjected graduating apprentices to, mind you, but this is never brought up). Now he says he's changed, but his words and actions say otherwise. He still distrusts mages, sympathises with the rebel Templars trying to kill them, and he never owns up to the terrible stuff he did and helped others do in the past two games. He totally knew what Meredith was doing and says he doesn't, and he still tries to defend her intentions. And you have no option to call him out on it. If you romance him as a mage, he angsts about how he might have seen you as subhuman in the past but NOW you're one of the good ones, and when you ask him if he'll kill you if you get possessed, he dodges the question. And the PC is written as being almost sad that she's a mage? Like 'can you love me despite what I am??' Also if Leliana romanced a female mage PC in the first game who is still alive, he asks her creepy questions about their relationship. Fitting considering his original purpose was to be creepy to the female mage Warden.
I hate him and want to cause chaos. Plus his VA is an asshole.
Cop
I think you covered almost everything but don't forget that beautiful moment in DA2 - Act 2 where you find out some templars had a petition to lobotomize all mages and Meredith, THE HARDCORE TEMPLAR LEADER, rejects it, but Cullen says they got a point. Despite the fact that we just found out that those templars were using lobotomy (or the threat of) to rape people and get away with it. And then Cullen in DA:I is whining that anything that happened it's not his fault because Meredith kept the worse away form him so he didn't know, but also that anyway Meredith had a point and did what she had to do. Meredith does not go mad until Act 3, before she was of sound mind and Culllen was her second in command BECAUSE he hated mages as much as (or even more) than her. What the FUCK did she even hide from you, Cullen. Oh, but he changed! Because the writers make A VICTIM OF THE TEMPLARS say so. And anyway he only says so BECAUSE HE READS MINDS not because Cullen did anything to show it. Also the narrative wants to sympathise with Cullen for his drug problems while Cullen is openly attacking the only other character with the same problem for...having the same problem. And he's the antagonist, so there were OTHER things Cullen could be mad about. But he is mad about the drug problem. Also I'm not an expert on writing characters with addictions but he is an addict only when it's time to have a cut scene where you pity him. Otherwise it has zero impacts on everything else.

List of Sexualities for Current list of Dragon Age MCs:
For Freedom’s Design
Cian Mahariel: Bisexual. Does prefer men as a whole but is fairly equal in his interest. Romances Zevran, and has a threesome with Isabela.
Lorry Hawke: Bisexual. Goes for girls mostly due to her complicated feeling on motherhood and the scare of a child. Romances Isabela. Did have a minor crush on Fenris that went nowhere.
Mila Trevylan: Asexual but unaware. She’s interested in sex but only in a ‘this sounds interesting’ thing. Does enjoy it so she remains unaware. Romances Iron Bull after a brief flirtation with Blackwell she ends due to her uncomfortable with the idea of being with someone who sees her as the Herald of Andraste.
Good Men Need Rules
Folcher Aueducan: Bisexual but unaware. He’s always just looked at woman. Romances Leliana.
Archie Hawke: Demisexual. Struggled with ideas of attraction for most of his life. Romances Merrill who he loves dearly.
Lucas Cadash: Straight. Romances Cassandra.
Crashing Fantasies
Noamahn Tabris: Straight. He once tried with a guy but deemed it not for him. Romances Morrigan

Thea Surana: Straight. Mostly. A pretty butch woman turns her head but it’s not common. Ends up with Alistair.
Teddy Hawke: Straight. Annoyed me since I wanted to romance Isabela but Teddy kept yelling straight. Romances Fenris then Anders.
Ophelia Trevylan: Straight. Never tried and never wanted to. Pretended to be to help a friend avoid and annoying admirer. Romances Blackwall.

Muirin Cousland: No clue. Legit this girl is only into power. She does end up carings for Alistair in the end but she romances him for the power.
Willow Hawke: Straight. Romances Sebastian because she honestly liked him but it was a plus he’s a prince.
Gloria Trevylan: Straight. Was only into Iron Bull at first but romances Cullen for the power. Does actually come to love him.
Uneasy Rests the Laurels
Lochlan Hawke: Bisexual. Romances Zevran and married Anora. Ends up in an honest triad with them.
Simon Hawke: Gay. Very much. Romances Fenris.
Edmund Trevylan: Bisexual. Romances Dorian, and loves him very much.
Revolution is Never Kind
Runa Amell: Murder. And men. Very straight, romances Zevran.
Wyome Hawke: asexual but very into Anders and Justice. Has no positive or negative thoughts in sex.
Faith Sustains
Brynja Brosca: Gay. Has had sex with men for money but rates it a 0 each time. Romances Leliana.
Aisley Hawke: She is asexual and sex repulsed. Falls in love with Sebastian and they have a chaste marriage he supports and loves even when Prince because he is a good guy.
Charity Cadash: Bisexual. Also a trans woman who doesn’t talk about it much. Romances Josiephine.
To Be Kind
Caoimhe Tabris: Bisexual. Is into buff people though. Romances Alistair.
Ivy Hawke: Bisexual. Isn’t that focused on romance with everything. Romances Fenris.
Revas Lavellan: Pansexual. Has had casual relationships with all genders. Dabbled in gender non conforming and identity stuff. Not for her. Romances Solas.
Love Yourself
Riley Cousland: Straight. Has a lot of internal issues regarding beauty and self worth. Romances Zevran.
Ivy Hawke: Bisexual. In this world also has a lot of issues she’s working though. Romances Fenris still.
Harel Lavellan: Bisexual. I never really settled on a romance for her, she’s kind of always gravitated towards Josie though. So probably Josephine.

Can we have some hc’s you have for your mc’s and their chosen RO from Disenchanted?! Your art is absolutely amazing, and your mc’s never miss!
Ahhhh yes!! I’m glad you like my mcs and art 🥰 tysm 💞🫶🏻
Isabelle (nephilim, Viktor route):
They will absolutely be Beauty and the Beast for Halloween
Viktors presence calms her down so she likes being around him whenever possible
When her anxiety gets going (which is often) he knows she needs more comfort and to be grounded, so he holds her hand.
They’re very touchy with each other which starts bc of Isabelle’s anxiety but at this point it’s just natural for them to always be touching in some way
If they hold hands for too long she’ll start playing with his
She doesn’t like talking to strangers so when someone comes up to talk suddenly she’ll look to Viktor and he knows to speak for her
She’ll wear his hoodies/sweaters whenever possible
When they’re sleeping together she likes to sleep on his chest and cover them both / wrap her wings around them
She likes to smooch the base of his horns to get him flustered 🤭
At some point Isabelle will start calling viks parents mom and dad
Leliana (siren, Lucien route):
They will absolutely be Ariel and Eric for Halloween (if that wasn’t obvious from my recent art 🤭)
Leliana will tell Lucien “I love you” all the time, because she never stopped and she wants him to know she always will
When the moment is right and she sees his back with no shirt on she’ll kiss the scar on his wing/back
Even tho it’s hard for nephilims with wings to swim, she’d definitely take him swimming in the shallow part/shore of the ocean. Lucien is always mesmerized by her siren form so she’ll splash him to get him to focus lol
Her legs get tired easily, especially when she wears heels. So when Lucien notices her getting too tired he’ll carry her bridal style wherever they need to go
They’ll take baths together and Leliana will like to wash Lucien’s hair and just cuddle for a few min before getting out
Leliana will mayhaps like to softly bite him with her sharp teeth during spicy times 🫣
Kamry (wraith, Avery route):
Less obvious than the others but her and Avery would be Sally and Jack for Halloween
Steals Avery’s clothes whenever possible
Whenever Avery is in a bad mood she’ll do the thing where you poke someone’s mouth corners to make them smile 🤭
I’ve thought the least about her route mainly bc I know the least about Avery so I don’t have many headcanons yet I’m sorry 😅
Elena (nephilim, Theodore route):
Also less obvious but they would be Rapunzel and Eugene for Halloween
They are the literal version of the angel x demon ship trope
Theo always knows how to make her smile. When she’s sad he’ll surprise tickle her to make her laugh
They’ll post so many cute couple pictures online, everyone is jealous
When he’s being too annoying she’ll grab his tail 🤭🤭
She likes to tell him “good boy” - in the bedroom and out just to see him get a little red 🤭
When she sees him getting really angry about to go full cambion she’ll hold his hand or wrap herself around his arm to calm him down
They’ll definitely fly together, being cute in the sky, wrapping their wings around each other 🥰
👏🏻 MATCHING PLUSHIES 👏🏻 specifically, Elena’s room is very pastel cute vibes, except her one dog plushie that’s red and black and very demon looking. And Theo has one dog plushie that’s white and very angel looking 💞 I like to imagine they have a few cute matching couples stuff, like pajamas and mugs 🥰

so i made a list of my “I romance the same person every time” from all my non-otome games with romances
Dao: zevran (I’ve done leliana and alistair too, but zevran’s just my type.)
Da2: fenris
Dai: cullen or solas? less consistency here. I hop around. I’ve done all who can be done by fem mc but iron bull and also romanced cassandra. This is the only game I swap who I romance in.
Me2-3: garrus
Bg2: dorn
Bg3: astarion (I cannot deny it.)
Pathfinder kingmaker: Tristian (currently trying to replay this and not romance him but. Uh. It’s not working. :( )
Pathfinder wotr: daeran (currently romancing Arue but I miss daeran)
Rogue trader: marazhai (rip heinrix van calox, you were my second favorite type)
Dos2: lohse (red prince honorary mention)
FE:A: lon’qu (Frederick is a close second)
FE:F: saizo (birthright only, other routes I tend to jump around)
FE3H: Felix, Hubert
Inquisition is an odd one because I do like Cullen, but he’s not quite my usual type, and I usually romance someone different each time. I’d say that’s most like fire emblem: fates, where I hop all over in non-birthright routes for romance.
Anyways I like spicy boys who are very loyal in their own way (or can be made to be).
Also s/o to lohse, the only woman on this list. She’s just that good. I’m not sure why I don’t end up with as many female characters in my staples, but it often feels like the lady characters don’t get to go quite as feral as the dudes. Wendaug in Wotr was really good, but Daeran was right there and my favorite type of guy.
Octavia in pathfinder kingmaker is super cool (and you get Regongar!) but again. Tristian. Leliana just isn’t my type, sera is…Sera, Josephine was adorable but not my type. I dunno. I think I’ll run across a romance one of these days where I click with a lady but for now, lohse is the only one on my list.

for the veilguard hype thing, 4 and/or 6?
Dragon Age: The Veilguard HYPE Q&A
4. What does your worldstate look like going into DAV?
Hmm. Well, my Tabris saved Ferelden and lived to tell the tale, also Kieran is her son by whatever (blood) magic we lesbian Morrimancers decide that happened - I'll have to put my Warden as male in case any of that happens to be relevant, I guess. Anora rules Ferelden alone, while Alistair was a Warden and got left in the Fade, sorry, my guy.
My new Hawke, whose playthrough I'm currently finishing up, will side with mages and that will ultimately result in a dead Fenris, which will be... interesting in case of any potential cameos. Bethany is in the Circle, altho I don't think that will be relevant.
EDIT: False alarm, Fenris did stay by her side! Somehow! Yay!
And I'm not changing my forever Inquisitor, so, human, Trevelyan, sided with mages, took the Wardens in, did NOT drink from the Well, Leliana (softened) is the Divine and last we checked Briala was pulling the threads of the Orlesian throne. Kinara herself is married to Sera and I am flinching in advance awaiting the inevitable explanation on why they are separated when Inky appears in the game (as was with Hawke and their LI previously).
She also kept the Inquisition going and swore to stop Solas by any means instead of trying to change his mind so uuuh yeah Varric does not act with her authority there. Curious to see how THAT plays out.
6. Do you have your Rook(s) planned out to any degree? If so, would you share some details or ideas you have?
I have a thought, although we'll see if I'll run with it. Way back when I was playing the Inquisition for the first time, at some point I conjured a non-Inq OC who was a dwarf pirate, which would nicely translate into a Lord of Fortune backstory. She wasn't especially detailed (or I do not remember), so she could be a nice jumping point for the Rook.
That said, I would need to rethink her design a bit, 'cause she suffered from the same careless choices Kinara did - and I know better now!
But also I may open the CC, say "Woooow" and hard pivot in some other direction entirely, who knows. This is the only thought I have by now.
I am thinking dwarf either way, though, to break the elf-human-human line a bit. And most likely a two-hander warrior, my beloved. Hopefully the swords stopped clipping through the ground on short MCs...
The first mission should look fun btw. Snow White and seven dwarves are out, Neve and three dwarves are in!

Companions as the MC recap
So over my twitch (twitch.tv/ADLegend21) I did a Dragon Age series where I played a world state where companions were the main characters of the various games. I didn’t want and overlap where said companion was in the same game or was elsewhere in a game so no DAO companions were eligible to be Hawke since Hawke leaves lothering in DAO which also meant that no DA2 companions could be the HOF since the games overlapped.
I went with the roster of Blackwall/Thom Rainer as the Hero of Ferelden, Vivienne De Fer as Hawke, and Zevran “Lavellan” Aranai as the Inquisitor.
Warden Rainier
For the headcanon, Rainier fled to Ferelden since that’s where Blackwall took him to join him and he was in Highever when the Couslands were attacked. Howe did manage to get the family, but Rainier met up with Duncan who continued what Blackwall wanted and brought Thom to the joining, while Thom was set on avenging the Couslands because they showed him a kindness when he deserved none. He survived and recruited Morrigan and Leliana after leaving Ostagar with Alistair. Rainier is big on peaceful conflict resolution and  redemption because of his backstory. He’s been on the bad side of politics twice now with his own mistake and seeing the Cousland’s fall to Howe in a similar way to the Caliers. This lets him recruit Sten in Lothering so he can offer the Qunari the redemption that he himself is also after. When finding out news in Denerim he stumbles upon Genetivi and pursues the Urn of Sacred ashes first and a clash with Sten. The two come to respect the others abilities and they rescue Genetivi and obtain some of the ashes as a reward for protecting them from the Cult.
Zevran is also recruited as a means to gain the upperhand on Loghain and a way to watch out for more Crows. Shale is also recruited and Morrigan starts to complain about her tent being “cold”
Rainier then goes to recruit the Mages since their near Redcliffe and having mages will give more help in recruiting the Arl, only for Broken circle to happen. At first he goes in with some intent to help the annulment, but Wynne convinces him to rescue as many mages as possible and they are succesful. The fade is actually a walk in the park for Rainier because of his combat focus. He and his companions defeat Sloth and gain the Litany which helps recue Irving and the other mages. Cullen isn’t regarded for his opinion on the mages.
With the Mages and the Ashes, Redcliffe is a cake walk. Rainier defends the town from the undead onslaught and with the Mages, Wynne is able to defeat the Demon possessing Connor and with the Ashes in hand, Eamon is healed.
While Eamon recovers, the Dalish are found and their conflict with the werewolves really plucks at Rainier’s heartstrings. His desire for peaceful conflict resolution rally comes through and he manages to get Zathrian to end the curse.
When it comes time for Orzammar, Rainier initially is against Bhelen because of the news from Harrowmont of Bhelen’s coup against his siblings. Harrowmont wants to keep Orzammar’s traditions intact and not let Bhelen run roughshod. That all changes when he meets Zerlina in dust town. Seeing a mother and child left to scraps all because of the caste system hits the same nerve that his story about the Dog does. An infant being left to die when there’s something he can do about it spurs him to eventually side with Bhelen because of his feelings on the casteless He defeats Branka and gives Shale the backstory she needs to find herself and also brings Oghren along, unfortunately. Bhelen is crowned King of Orzammar and he promises his army and the Legion of the dead.
Morrigan and Rainier become official official after he gives her Flemeth’s Grimoire and she gives him a ring to find him. They had found love in the middle of what felt like the End of the World. Those poor Fools.
The Landsmeet saw a rout of Loghain politically. Rainier avenged the Couslands with intent, killing Howe after declaring his mission to do so as complete. The Landsmeet ruled in favor of Rainier and he defeated Loghain in the duel.
However, he agreed with Riordan that Loghain should be submitted to the Joiining. Alistair hated that. It became the dealbreaker for him and he forsook ruling with Anora to see Loghain killed, but left with his life instead as Rainier refused to allow Anora to execute Alistair instead. Loghain survived and became a Grey Warden.
Morrigan and Rainier made love on the even of battle and completed the dark ritual as a byproduct. Together they slew the Archdemon and parted for a time.
Rainier enjoyed his time as Warden Commander of Fereldan. Building the wardens back to the respectable force they were and was able to protect both Amaranthine, and Vigils keep. He ultimately vanished as he began to search for a cure for the calling the Architect.
Vivienne Hawke
For the Headcanon, Vivienne was a friend of Malcolm’s while they were both in circles and she receives a letter from him after he arrives in Lothering when Bethany is born (no older Hawke sibling, the twins are born ‘first’) She comes to Lothering to help get Bethany some training when the Darkspawn win at Ostagar. She flees with the family, though Bethany perishes when the Ogre attacks them. Vivienne sticks with the family to help Flemeth in exchange for passage to Kirkwall and becomes a Hawke in Lieu of returning to the Circle after she hears that it’s thought that she perished in the Blight.
Vivienne contemplates joining the circle at the Gallows, after all she was first Enchanter, but after meeting Anders and seeing what was done to Karl, she resigns herself to remaining an apostate because she knows her time away from the circle would cause Meredith to use the brand on her and that is unacceptable. She has no issues controlling her power and she’s invested in returning the Amell estate to the Hawke family and Leandra even offers her a place in it.
Despite her own feelings toward Meredith, she does encourage other apostates to return to the circle. Their fates are closely watched by Vivienne, especially when she leaves Carver off the expedition team to take care of Leandra and he joins the Templar Order.
A few years into living in Kirkwall she helps Sebastian Vael avenge his family and they become as close as a dashing rogue and a mage can be. She does her best to help mediate the situation between the Qunari and the Viscount, evening earning the title of Basilt-An from the Arishok until he attacks the city.
Vivienne can no longer hide her magic once the rest of the nobles in the city see her face the Arishok in single combat and come out victorious after Isabela returns to Kirkwall. when Meredith learns of this, they stand in unison to anoint Vivienne as the Champion of Kirkwall, thus making her untouchable to Meredith without a Viscount.
Vivienne still plays it safe when dealing with matters of magic. She doesn’t abide by blood mages and tries to keep people from turning to it at any cost, especially after Leader was murdered by Quentin. She is duped by Anders because she wanted to help him seperate from Justice but despite her willingness to aid the templars, she stands firmly against Meredith when she calls for the rite of Annulment when Anders, a Grey Warden, destroys the Chantry. She immediately comes to the aide of the circle in it’s hour of need and is ‘betrayed’ by Orsino (Varric lies to protect him and says Vivienne killed him) and she slays Meredith at the Gallows
Because of her connection to the Hawke family, the Carta mistakes her for a blood Hawke and she and Carver eventually uncover Corypheus and kill him the first time which then sends her on the run and out of Cassandra’s clutches.
Zevran “Lavellan” Aranai
After eliminating most of the Antivan Crows, Zevran takes up with a Dalish clan in the free marches in between DA2 and Inquisition. For the headcanon he helps protect Clan Lavellan from bandits and they offer him a place in the clan. When they hear of the Mage Rebellion and the conclave, they send him to investigate since he has knowledge of the situation and of human cultures so he can fit right in. This leads him to Corypheus’ ritual and gaining the anchor in the explosion.
For the headcanon, Leliana recognizes him which prevents Cassandra from killing him and she vouches for him which allows them to close the rift partially and work the with Inquisition.
He immediately hits it off with Josephine as she works to clear his name of killing the Divine with magic since he is no mage.
A funny thing happens after Val Royeaux.
Zevran finds his old friend Thom Rainier in the Hinterlands under the name of a different Warden and runs into the Champion of Kirkwall at an Orlesian Ball. In the headcanon Rainier is working with Avernus on the cure and stayed in Ferelden with the Drydens and Vivienne returned to court under her previous name claiming to have stayed with the Avaar to help them fight the Blight. Cassandra was almost none the wiser until Varric needed Vivienne to talk about Corypheus. Leliana was also overjoyed that her friend was still alive.
Zevran chooses to side with the Mage rebellion, having rebelled against an institution himself he can sympathize with their blight and doesn’t want to leave them in servitude to a Magister like Alexius. He gives them their freedom because he’s seen what mages can do when they work for a common cause.
He happily accepts the position of Inquisitor and works with Leliana to understand The Game to make sure Corypheus can’t overthrow Orlais for the moment.  Halamshiral’s wintersend ball ends with a public truce between Gaspard Briala and Celene and Florianne as the Jester at Skyhold.
Vivienne and Loghain team up to track the Wardens to Adamant Fortress and there Loghain finally receives the death Alistair wanted for him all along, but this time it is to slay an enemy of the Wardens in the Nightmare.
Zevran took a liking to the Dalish Culture, finally seeing the things his mother believed in and felt a kinship to it, so when he learns about the Temple of Mythal and the well fo Sorrows, he takes it for himself after following the rituals, unlike the Red Templars and Samson. He partly does this to needle Morrigan and he boasts about it to her until they meet Mythal who happens to be Morrigans mother.
Zeveran also falls head over heels for Josephine a woman who feels like home to him because of their Antivan heritage and because she’s just plain wonderful to be around. Leliana is of course very protective of her friends and in the headcanon warns them both, but they just laugh and tease her for caring about them, lovingly of course. After Corypheus is defeated Zevran meets the previous Inquisitor in the Frostback mountains and it gets in his head that the world has taken much from him in both the fifth blight and the fight against Corypheus. He doesn’t know ho much longer he can stay in the spotlight and be the hero.
When Leliana calls the exalted Council two years after becoming Divine, Zevran and his mark dutifully step up to stop the Qunari invasion and after losing this left hand to Solas, he disbands the Inquisition as it is finally time for him to just live.
Conclusion
All in all this was an interesting Run. I was surprised that characters got along when I didn’t expect them to. Vivienne was maxed friendship  with both Merrill and Anders somehow despite their opinions on Circles and Magic. I was surprised that Blackwall and Morrigan both ended up together, but knowing how he is in Romance made it all fit for them. Zevran and Sera got along great despite him being Elfy and of course he got along with the companion versions of the MC’s he knew. He obviously would want Leliana as Divine since they were friends and his appreciation for Dalish culture ends up having him be the vessel for the well of Sorrows. I might end up doing this kind of series again with different characters just to see how things pan out. IF you read this far, Thanks! Also gimme a follow over on twitch for more fun streams!
