There’s a glitch in the system.

You’re never a victim for speaking your story. You are a survivor setting the world on fire with your truth. You really never know who needs to hear this, embrace your light and raging courage. I ponder on the question often of “When will I ever forget?”... probably not until The day I hit 72 years old, running about in my Alzheimer’s suit. That will be the day I finally feel like everyday is a new day. Every face is a new face... it’ll be like an old people’s home party with pudding and pretzels. Someone sneak in the good juice and turn this elevator jazz music UPPP PLEASE!! I hope I at least remember to do fake palm readings on the other folks I don’t like; *gasps* “KATLYNN! It says here on your hand you will only live for 3 more days if you don’t fix that mouth, oops karma I meant... wait a silly second, Judy was it?” It’ll be a hooot!

Unfortunately, it is not so much of a hoot when your IPhone update came with glitches, or when the power goes out due to a minor inconvenience In the middle of the juiciest dateline episode featuring; “mommy doomsday.” -speaking of: Lori Vallow is sick in the soul to even hurt her babies like that or allow someone else to like Chad Daybell. They both should get their maximum penalty! They should not be sneaking through the cracks for any lesser charge than what is owed. These are the system glitches that serve no better purpose than allowing these horrible people to get away with murdering sweet Tylee Ryan and innocent J.J. Vallow.

I was raised Mormon and I am a proud NOT-member now :) did you know Ted Bundy was Mormon? I was about, maybe 6? When I was sitting in church wondering who the secret psycho-path in the room was. Everyone was always in a “perfect competition” like who can pretend to be more perfect than the other. Not a shred of humbling personalities, just a bunch of maybe it’s maybelline coverups. Why would you allow your pre-pubescent teenager alone in a closed door room with this “bishop” who probably gets off on all your dirty sins that they oddly ask specifics about. Just Why? Nothing ever happened to me personally in the church, but I would not be surprised by the least on how many silent victims are walking on this planet terrified to speak because a religious community blames the outfit not the rapist. It’s always, “this is why you don’t wear that.” Or “well maybe if you weren’t hanging out with those people” instead of what should actually be the reverse. Like , “who raised their son to think it’s okay to make a poor choice that effected my child’s body and well being for the rest of their life?” Rapists rape people not outfits! It’s time to end slut shaming and victim blaming! This right here, again is a glitch in the system. The amount of unsolved murders reported cases that never went anywhere. Weed dealers getting a higher sentence than a child rapist? This goes beyond my own crown chakra’s comprehension. Probably because it’s a fixable glitch that authorities often overlook and block out. When my best friend was murdered they didn’t even look farther than the fact that she danced at a club and drank sometimes. So her murder (according to the police investigator) “was just a lifestyle that caught up to her” he says. Meanwhile I know for a fact being a mother myself my best friend would not have chosen this she was date raped and killed. A mother of three young children is not going to Rest In Peace trying to raise her kids behind a thin glass veil. Another unacceptable glitch in the system.

So, what do you do?

You become the glitch in the system.

Stand up for who you are, for what you believe in. Sometimes when you become the glitch, you play both sides with a good god damn poker face. (Shoutout to the Mormons who taught me how to “Act that Maybe it’s maybelline” style) I won’t stop voicing up for the victims who deserve justice! Even if it means I walk the line to get the info I need, I will be the glitch in the system. I speak for those who won’t, those who are no longer alive and can’t. Whether you died a victim or lived out to be a survivor the system doesn’t get to manipulate the facts circulating around these situations anymore. FACTS ON FACTS ON FACTS

Tony leans back in his chair and listens absently as one of his men tells something to him about that Jersey motherfucker Toombs and his ambitions getting too big to stay on the other side of the river.

It’s getting to be a problem, one that he’s going to have to deal with, and he already knows it’s going to mean a loss of life. He tried to avoid getting innocents hurt, doesn’t kill wives and kids like some bosses do, but sometimes, a message has to be sent.

The voice of the singer draws his gaze to the stage for the first time that night. This song isn’t one he’s heard before, and the throat it’s rising up out of is pale, swanlike and delicate.

His brows furrow as the singer swings toward his side of the room, surprise shooting through him at the beautiful boy dressed in a flashy gold dress, barely covering his pale thighs. Shiny heels give him an extra few inches and crimson stains his Cupid bow lips, tantalizing even from across the room.

The boy grins as patrons hoot and cheer, blows kisses before continuing, and Tony, Tony’s lost. He knows his men are talking and drinking around him, but all he sees is this pretty little dove, singing it’s heart out, and he wants.

He manages to wave down a waitress and ask for the name of the singer, but she just shrugs and tells him she only has a stage name for the kid—Grace.

As Tony watches him sing and dance across the stage, he thinks that’s a good name for the boy, because every movement is deliberate and full of emotion, each lyric designed to wrench the heart and burn the soul.

But loving me is overdue

He sends the waitress to get the owner, slips him enough dough to make his eyes widen and demands that the boy come see him when the set is up.

That's how they always do

He smirks at the lyrics; he’d never leave a beautiful dove like this, he’d keep him safe and at his side, singing just for him. He’d make the prettiest sounds, Tony thinks, spread out across his bed, lipstick smeared on his skin and pretty dress rucked up around those slim hips so he can mess up that creamy skin with his tongue and teeth.

He catches the boy’s eye as the song winds down, lifting a brow as the corner of his lips quirk, smirk widening as a flush rises to those creamy cheeks.

It comes back around

When the song ends and the applause quiets, the boy curtsies and hops off the stage, manager at his side instantly, hand at his back as he’s guided over to Tony’s table. The boy meets his gaze halfway across the room, wide and assessing, intelligent too.

The manager blathers through an introduction, cut off swiftly by a sharp hand movement by Tony as he leans forward and peers up at the boy. It’s obvious from here that the pale quality to his skin isn’t makeup, though his lids are lined and his lips are painted.

He’s got the kind of skin that turns golden in the sun, Tony thinks, unlike his own swarthy coloring that get dark and coppery in the summer. Tony imagines running his hands over the boy’s skin, seeing if it’s as soft as it looks and suppresses a shudder of want.

Sips his Rickey.

The boy stares back at him, still. Tony grins suddenly, pleased with the backbone he shows and slaps Cap’s shoulder, sends him and Bucky to the other table so it’s just him and the boy.

“Sit, you must be tired,” he murmurs, waving a hand to the now empty seat beside him.

The boy lifts a brow and casts a glance over the table before taking the seat furthest from him with the fullest part of the table between them. It’s an open act of defiance, and the set to his jaw is another challenge, the spark in his eyes hot and wild.

Tony laughs, harder than he has in a long time and nods, lifts his glass in a toast. “Tough little bird, eh?” The boy just scoffs and crosses his arms, rolls his eyes, and for some reason it makes Tony grin.

Everyone in his world acts with deference, bowing and scraping—“Yes Mr. Stark” “Of course Boss” “Whatever you need Sir”, and it’s enough to put his jaw on edge, because as much as he enjoys the respect he’s earned, he’d like for just one person to treat him as a regular man.

Which, considering he has the Police Commissioner, three mayors and the governor in his pocket, is slightly ridiculous to think he’s a regular man.

“What can I get ya to drink?” he offers, motioning a waitress over once more.

The boy stares at him for a minute and then looks up at the waitress, “Water Angelique, thanks,” he murmurs, voice soft, almost too soft for Tony to hear in the raucous club.

His brows raise, “You a dry?”

The boy shrugs, “Don’t bother me none what other people do, it’s bad for my voice is all.” He takes the water Angelique offers with a soft smile and a quick word in French, their shared laughter and pointed glances at him telling him everything he needs to know.

French is a bastard cousin of Italian so he understands vaguely that he’s being made fun of for his interest in the boy, but there’s no heat behind the words, so he remains relaxed.

“Well I’d hate to ruin such a beautiful voice my dove, where did you learn to sing like that?” he asks, leaning forward to stare at the boy as he sips his water and studies Tony intently.

“I’ve always been able to sing,” the boy finally replies. “Manager heard me out on the street, singin for my dinner, and asked if I’d like a job. I’m here every other Friday,” he tells Tony.

Which explains why Tony hasn’t seen him before—he and the crew usually come in on Saturday nights, but it’s Romanoff’s birthday so they’re here a night early.

“Guess I’ll have to start coming Fridays then,” Tony murmurs, smiling softly.

The boy just hums and looks nonchalant, swallows down the last of his water and gives him a wry little smile, “It was nice to talk to you Mr. Stark, but I’ve got another set soon.”

Tony frowns and leans forward as he stands up, brushes his dress off and shoots Tony a meaningless little smile.

“You know my name, but I don’t know yours,” Tony says, barely resisting the urge to reach out and grab that thin wrist.

The boy studies him for a moment and then surprises him by leaning down and pressing his lips carefully to Tony’s cheek. He inhales in surprise and smells the musky perfume the boy wears and the slightly salty scent of sweat on his skin, hands fisting in the fabric of his slacks so he doesn’t reach out and grab.

“You can call me Grace, like everybody else,” the boy whispers, lips hovering over his skin before he pulls away and shoots a parting wink over his shoulder.

Tony gapes in stunned silence and then grins slowly. So, his dove wants to play.

He can do that.

Two months pass in which Tony comes to the club, sometimes with his crew, other times by himself, always on a Friday. He watches Grace sing, buys him water, learns a little more each time.

He’s 19, an orphan, and has big dreams of being on Broadway someday.

Tony mentions his friend who runs the newest show playing there, offers to put in a good word, and it’s the first time he sees real interest in the boy’s eyes at anything he’s offered.

Two months later the boy greets him with a swift kiss and hands him a playbill, a name circled—Peter Parker.

Weeeeellllll....I hope y’all liked it!! Also, a “dry” is a supporter of prohibition, “daddy” was just gaining popularity as a term between lovers, and while Hell of a Girl is not a 1920’s song, I felt it had a good vibe for how I wanted to portray Peter as a singer.

Reddie + 80′s songs

Headcanons about what it says in the title. They are old post-IT men and are very in love. Let me know if you want a second part (and what songs should I use!)

Down Under - Men at Work

It blasts on the radio as they drive to the beach. It’s a wet California summer day, so the car’s top is down. Eddie is behind the wheel, Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses on, and Richie is on the passenger sit, feet on the dashboard, only one flip-flop hanging from his toes. Despite how many times Eddie has told him to drop it, Richie still holds an orange ice pop with his right hand, carefully keeping it outside the vehicle, letting it melt all over his fingers and occasionally giving it a few licks when his partner isn’t watching.

Eddie asks if they brought everything they needed again, even though he spent almost the whole morning making sure they did. Richie looks over his own shoulder to the back of the car, full of towels, umbrellas and an infinity of things they definitely won’t need. Still, he won’t make fun of Eddie for it. Not more than necessary. He just nods and keeps singing —screaming the lyrics—, encouraging him to do the same. Although Eddie constantly refuses to do so, he can’t help but join Richie for a few “you better run, you better take cover” as the car rushes through the palm-lined highway.

Karma Chameleon - Culture Club

Richie’s been playing it on Youtube the whole afternoon. Eddie and he are sitting on the porch, it’s a nice summer day and he won’t rest until he can play the harmonica perfectly. He curses when he does it wrong for the 34th time and rewinds the video. Eddie is right beside him, rubbing sunscreen on his back, because last time Richie was exposed to sun without it, he couldn’t lay down for three days. When he finishes, he continues to read his car magazine, and hears him yelling “fuck!” He throws his head back and laughs. Richie looks at him.

“Do you think it’s funny?”

Eddie shakes his head. A few seconds later, they both are laughing together, till chuckles become tears and they start to feel light-headed. They drink lemonade and, at the hour the sun goes down, Richie makes it. He’s so proud of himself, and Eddie is, too.

Relax - Frankie goes to Hollywood

It plays at a fair, in the tagada. At the moment they sit down and the doors are closed, Richie realizes he forgot to take his glass off and goes crazy. He can’t break another pair. What will his oculist think? He’s forty years old! The ride starts to spin and bounce, the speed increasing. Richie looks at Eddie like he needs answers. Eddie just chuckles and shakes his head, and soon offers to put Richie’s glasses on his fanny pack. Richie sighs in relief and mutters a bitter comment of how that’s why he wants to get contacts.

Uptown Girl - Billy Joel

It plays on the radio in a spring morning. Eddie is working on their car and Richie won’t stop joking about how that would make him the uptown girl who falls for the mechanic. Eddie rolls his eyes and tells him that, if he won’t help, he better go inside. But Richie stays there, sitting on a lawn chair, drinking beer and enjoying the show. Eddie stops for a moment, wipes the sweat from his forehead and suddenly feels Richie’s arms around his middle. Richie holds him and rests his chin on his shoulder as Eddie finishes the job.

9 to 5 - Dolly Parton

Richie insists they listen to it during spring cleaning. Even though Eddie is opposed to the idea at first, they soon find themselves singing and dancing as they sweep the living room, air the cushions and, somehow, make everything even dirtier than it was before.

Walk this way - Run DMC & Aerosmith

They sing it as they drive at night on their first road trip, attempting to keep themselves awake while they look for a motel. Even though at first they are super tired and emotionless, it doesn’t take long for them to start yelling the lyrics and headbang to it.

Love is a Battlefield - Pat Benatar

They destroy it as they enter their home at 3 am, completely drunk after a cocktail party. It ends with a broken coffee table when they get carried away with the choreography (they swear they’re doing it right) and stand on it. The living room surely looks like a battlefield once they’re done.

Wake me up before you go-go - Wham! + Footloose - Kenny Loggins + Faith - George Michael

Jiving at the kitchen in rainy days, as the food gets cook. Richie is usually the one to start it, seducing Eddie with his lip-sync abilities and his most ridiculous moves. But, unlike other situations, Eddie totally rolls with it with no second thought. They spin and accidentally step on each other’s feet and laugh. It generally drives to a burned dinner.

Every breath you take - The Police + Just like heaven - The Cure + Lady Lady Lady - Giorgio Moroder & Joe Esposito

Despite the fact they always complain the last one is too cheesy and straight for them, they all play softly at the background at night. Eddie is laying down on bed and Richie’s head rests on his stomach, fingers running through messy hair, gently unraveling. They stare into the ceiling and talk, voices so soft they barely can hear each other, remembering how they fell in love, what they thought about the other when they were kids, how they realized what was happening. They don’t talk about the lives they had after going separated ways. They don’t need to. They’re together now, undoubtedly aware of how meant to be is that.

Their first dance as husbands. Nothing more to say.

You Were Always Mine (Part 25)

An hour after dropping Artemis and Allison home saw Stiles and Scott at a club, breaking in since they saw the Kanima - which they found out earlier that evening is Jackson - slip in through a window. Scott guessed that the Kanima was after Danny.

As soon as they stepped in, Scott noticed something else.

"Dude, I think everyone in here is a dude" He told Stiles in surprise, looking around. "I think we're in a gay club."

"Man, nothing gets past those keen werewolf sense, huh, Scott." Stiles responded sarcastically, seeming to enjoy himself standing in the middle of a group of drag queens who were rubbing their hands all over him.

Scott just shook his head in amusement and grabbed Stiles' hand, leading him over to the bar.

"Two beers" Scott ordered. They got cokes instead since the bartended noticed that they were underaged when checking their IDs.

They were drinking their cokes and making small talk when Stiles suddenly perked up. "Hey, I found Danny" He said, looking searchingly towards the dance floor.

"And I found Jackson." Scott said slowly while looking above Danny's head, on the roof. Jackson-Kanima was right ontop of Danny.

Scott and Stiles bustled through the crowd, trying to get to Danny but when they got to him, he was already paralyzed with a few other guys, laying on the floor.

Scott looked around just in time to see Derek attack Jackson-Kanima with his claws in the middle of the club. Luckily no one noticed since their attention was on the guys laying on the floor.

Scott ran to follow the Kanima and found him in the parking lot, out cold on the ground - as Jackson.

Stiles and Scott got him into the Jeep right before the police got there. Though before he could ignite the engine, his father, Noah arrived.

"Oh my Gosh, oh my Gosh. Could this get any worse?" Stiles asked in alarm, not sure whether he should ignite the engine or wait it out.

"Get rid of him." Scott told Stiles, referring to his father, swallowing nervously.

"Get rid of him?" Stiles asked incredulously. "We're at a crime scene and he's the sheriff."

"Do something!" Scott insisted and Stiles jumped out of the Jeep to distract his dad.

"What are you doing here?" Noah asked too calmly, spotting his son walking towards him.

"What do you mean 'what am I doing here?'" Stiles asked his dad innocently. When his dad just stared, he continued, "What, it's a club. It's a club. We were clubbing you know? At the club..." he trailed off awkwardly, playing with his fingers, not sure what else to say.

"Not exactly your type of club." his father told him knowingly.

"Uh..." Stiles began hesitantly. "Well, dad. There's a conversation that we need to..." he trailed off, trying to lie his way out of it by saying he's gay but his dad interrupted him before he could continue, knowing exactly what he was about to say.

"About Karma...the girl you got pregnant? Which proves that you're definitely not gay." His dad said knowingly.

Stiles sighed in resignation. For a miniscule second, he forgot that his dad knew about his unborn child. "I only found out tonight, dad. We spoke and we..."

"We'll talk about that at home, son" Noah interrupted him. "What I wanna know now is what you're doing here?" He asked, a hint of steel in his voice, "This is the second crime scene you just happened to have shown up on. And at this point, I have been fed so many lies that I'm not even sure I know the kid standing infront of me. Now what the hell is going on?" Noah finished, frustration bleeding into his voice.

Stiles knew he couldn't tell his father the truth. He couldn't drag his father into the world of the supernatural, "Dad, I just.."

"The truth, Stiles" Noah demanded, knowing that his son was gonna cook up some lie again.

Stiles thought for a second, wondering what he could tell his dad that would be believable.

"The truth. Alright" he said somberly, "Well, the truth is that we were here with Danny." he started. He gained more confidence when he saw his dad considering his words, "Yeah, cause he just broke up with his boyfriend. So, you know. We were just trying to take him out and get his mind off things. That's it." he finished with the most sincere expression he could muster.

Noah thought about it and nodded his head. "Well, that's really good of you guys." he said softly. "You're good friends" he told Stiles who gave him a soft smile and a pat on the shoulder before walking back to his Jeep.

Stiles had contained Jackson in one of the police department's armored vehicles after driving away from the club the previous evening. So the next day him and Allison drove off to the edge of the preserve to meet up with Scott after he gave Jackson something to eat.

"There's something else" Scott said while they were discussing the Kanima. "You said that the only thing you found online about the Kanima is that it goes after murderers. What if that's actually true?"

"Well no, it can't be" Stiles responded. "it tried to kill all of us, remember? I don't know about you two, but I haven't murdered anyone lately." He told Allison and Scott.

"Well I don't think it was actually trying to kill us," Scott argued, "You remember when we were at Isaac's the first time? It just went right by us, didn't it?" He asked Allison, referring to the time he had Allison lock him up in a chest freezer on the full moon but he had to break out of it since the Kanima appeared in Isaac's house.

"You're right, it just ran off." Allison replied after a moment.

"And it didn't kill you at the mechanic's garage." Scott continued, looking at Stiles.

"Oh yeah, but it tried to kill me and Derek at the pool." Stiles replied.

"Did it?"

"It would have." Stiles argued. "It was waiting for us to come out."

"What if it was trying to keep you in?"

"That can't be right." Stiles told Scott. "The only people who were at the pool were Erica and Artemis. Erica was out cold but it kept going after.." Stiles trailed off. "There has to be another explanation. That can't be right."

"I think we should have a talk with Artemis." Scott said hesitantly.

"No, there has to be a mistake" Stiles said vehemently "Maybe, it's because of her magic. Or maybe because she fought back. But she cannot be a murderer. She's the most gentle person I know" Stiles said, shaking his head.

"Stiles..." Scott began but Stiles interrupted him.

"I don't wanna hear it, Scott. I saw what happened. That thing threw her across the pool then it went straight to Erica and knocked her out. When it paralyzed Derek and we both ended up in the pool, Artemis went to attack it." Stiles said hurriedly.

"Maybe it attacked her because she attacked first. She blasted its leg off. And she trapped it in massive bubble of water, would've probably drowned it had you not showed up. You saw the damage she did, Scott. It went after her because..."

"Because she attacked it with the intention to kill." Allison finished. "That makes more sense." she looked at Scott, "I know you're trying to figure out the intentions of this thing. But any beast would try to eliminate a threat. That night, Artemis was the threat. She could hold it off while everyone else was easily knocked out." Allison said while squeezing his hand.

"Yeah, you're right." Scott replied. "I can't picture her murdering anyone. She's pure. Like you." he told Allison who gave him a soft smile in return.

"I hope that means you won't jump to conclusions again when it comes to her." Stiles said slightly annoyed. "Why don't we just kill Jackson, problem solved."

"He risked his life for us against Peter. You remember that?" Scott asked, mildly annoyed that Stiles' only response was to get rid of the Kanima which meant killing Jackson.

"Yes, but what did we just find out?" Stiles asked, not relenting. "Jackson got the bite from Derek. It's funny how he just got exactly what he wanted by supposedly risking his life for us. It's funny." Stiles ended sarcastically.

Scott sighed, "That doesn't mean he's not still worth saving. He doesn't know what he's doing. I didn't know either." Scott retorded. "Whenever I almost murdered someone, there was always someone to stop me. He doesn't have that." he took a deep breath, "If we can save him, we should try." he said with finality.

Hey, could you write headcanons where the reader makes a mixtape for her crush and their reaction to it for the Paladins, Matt and Allura please? Obviously when you have the time, I know you're busy xx

This was just what I needed to get back in the swing of things! I ended up actually… Making mixtapes for each of them orz

Know that the playlists are all more so meant to be music that I think each character would like more so than playlists that I think describe each character. Like, less fanmixes and more what I think they would have on their mp3 players, you feel?

He’s??? So thankful????

He probably constantly had music on when he lived alone so it’s really special for him that you would do this

Can’t believe you took the time to make him a mixtape like holy shit

Listens to it for the first time on his own and he blushes the whole time

Not only did you pretty much nail the kind of music he likes

He also couldn’t get you out of his head when he was listening to the mix

Afterwards, he’d make you one in return

Doesn’t really know what to put on it though so he sort of guesses what kind of music of his he thinks you’d like

So excited!!!

He isn’t a big music guy (mostly listens to whatever other people have on at any given time) but he loves that you picked stuff out for him

100% wants you to listen to it with him

He doesn’t talk much while you guys are listening to it but every now and then he catches your eye and tells you how much he loves it

Would try to get you to dance with him during a few songs

Gives you a BIG hug once it’s over because wow he’s just so happy you did this for him

Probably plays it all the time afterwards

Would figure out how to rig it so he can play the mix in his lion

The only reason he’d stop is if you made him a new one
