Fake Robocar Poli fans will say his name is Roy

I was in Romania and I came across a store that had Robocar Poli toys. Of course I had to check it out. But the names of (some) the toys were really… creative. Like Roy here, whose name is “Dildo Color Red”. Sadly, I didn’t buy Poli’s and Amber’s as they cost a lot of money (For a cheap toy, it’s outrageous). Their names were “Blue Buttplug” and “Vibrating Pink Toy” respectively. I’m surprised Helly and Jin weren’t with them. These cursed names even show on the receipt!

Thanks to the poll results, we now have Link, Hero of the Fountain!

If you've been on our AO3 account, Nevermatch, then you might've read our fic, A Dungeon's Worth of (Chain) Links. In the first chapter, I went over Fountain's adventure in cutesy poem form. Because of this, there won't be much story to be had here, but definitely personality and whatnot

As you can guess, Fountain is a fairy (he's pretty small, standing at a tiny bit over 2.5 in/6.35 cm), but he's also Navi's son, and she named him after a "snot-nosed sweetheart" she used to know, hint hint. As said in his chapter, he's energetic and friendly, if a bit forgetful, and he's always doing his best to be kind and helpful, although this does not mean he is a pushover; if the time calls for it, he will not hesitate to call you out, complete with oddly accurate insults. Plus, he has a surprisingly strong pinch, so that's something else to look out for.

He has a long scar on his upper left wing, as you can see, thanks to it being torn during his adventure. Fortunately, Princess Zelda rescued him and patched him up before joining him on the adventure. These days, they're sweethearts, and they're very cute together; Fountain brings her forget-me-nots whenever he's in the area, even if it's not for very long, though he will substitute with other flowers if he can't find any forget-me-nots.

Alas, aside from just telling you his story, I don't have much else on him, at least nothing that's the most interesting in comparison to what I've given, but I hope you liked reading about him nonetheless!

If you're not too busy, would you mind listing some of the things you think count as death flags for Mr. Spender?

There's the obvious fact that he's the "old" mentor to group of young protagonists, but what else do you think would count?

OHH BOY ok so I'd think I'm a crackpot for this but since we're talking about Zack "Foreshadowing" Morrison. I have some thoughts

No harm in leading with the (chronologically) first thing that jumped out at me:

This one IMMEDIATELY made me antsy whenever I came back to it after my initial read, and considering Zack has referred to it on twitter in the past as one of their favorite jokes it's definitely not been forgotten about.

Second, the sheer amounts of near-misses, jokey or not, of Spender narrowly avoiding specifically lightning

Again, not much, but it's weird that it happened thrice, latter two of which had real gravitas rather than an one-off joke.

And third, Spender himself. He's repeatedly shown himself to be kind of a self sacrificing idiot, as well as prideful to a fault. Granted, it's both him and Mina trying to take on all the responsibility of saving Mayview and its inhabitants from their fate.. But Spender is exactly that right measure of doesn't-value-himself-enough (chest footprint aftercare or lack thereof), having an obscene amount of power (enables his loner act + pride) and poor judgement that has the capacity to put him at great risk. And it has!

Spender has not only shown low enough self-esteem to view himself as the de-facto scapegoat for the safety of the town, but also prideful enough to make very bad calls that end up in people, often himself, hurt (COUGH FORGE INCIDENT COUGH)

This is all conjecture, but it's definitely enough to make me worried about him :') Even if all this doesn't mean he'll necessarily die he's definitely getting (even more) seriously injured at some point. I love the guy but he's so far doing a horrible job of convincing me he wants to live bad enough to circumvent at least that

you know what tv show i don't care much about? like, it's basically fine? doctor who. but the odd thing is, it turns out that people who have doctor who brainworms make incredible and unhinged spin-offs constantly. constantly. some of them are books. most of them are radio plays, like from the fucking 1950s or something. and they're actually really really good 😭

what i was liveblogging last night was counter measures, a series of radio plays that follows three characters who were in one (1) episode of doctor who in 1988. they weren't even particularly important. they're a task force of cold-war era scientists (and also gilmore, who is not a scientist but does have a driver's license) whose job it is to research aliens and misuse the word 'quantum', but mostly their job is to have intense yuri and electrocute each other lesbianly

if you mean the thing that i've been liveblogging and obsessing about for months, that's gallifrey. it's another doctor who audio drama spin-off, but this one is about the government of a planet of interstellar catholic fascists. it's mostly about hypocrisy and backstabbing and (arguably) villain protagonists and a pathetic middle-aged war criminal building a religion around a woman whose main priority is setting up elaborate schemes to kill herself. none of them ever acknowledge this. one girl is maybe a werewolf. every character fucking sucks. it's the best show i've ever 'watched'.
