WHAT AN AMAZING RUN!!!!

We've come to the end of the week across the globe and it's been such a blast seeing the creativity and enthusiasm that this tiny and beautiful fandom is capable of! So much wondrous imagination skilfully brought to life, and so much love given to this series 10 years after it aired! What a way to celebrate it's 10th year anniversary.

It's definitely made me emotional to see so many new fanworks throughout this event, with so much self-expression and creative exploration of ideas, headcanons, designs, stories... The TSME fandom has always been one where fans get to take the series, say "what if?" and create something new from it, and I think it's beautiful. A warm thank you to everyone who participated, whether by creating or by cheering on the side!

If you couldn't find the time or energy to participate but wanted to, don't worry. If you would like to create and post something now, please do! I will still be scouring the #tsmeweek2024 and #tsme10thanniversary tags until around May, at a much slower pace, and will continue to reblog any new works to this blog.

If I have missed some works until now, please don't hesitate to ping me with an @tsmeweek as well. It seems the tumblr tags are not always reliable! Pinging me is more than okay.

how are we at the end of sinoh already... I followed when johto was halfway through yet feel like its only been a single week. we're rapidly approaching the point where I stopped playing! (gen 6)

Time certainly flies! Gen 4 will be fully done in 4 days, 8 more polls, for a total of 44 polls of Gen 4 as the main focus.

That being said, if we include the older polls, Sinnoh has a total of 71 polls total.

It’s just that about 1/3rd (27 polls) have already been posted in gen 1, 2, and 3! Making these polls just fly by way quicker ^^

In comparison, Unova is gonna be set for awhile with a total of 82 polls!

It’s been a hot minute since I seriously tried to do a Pokemon design (crazy hybrid that this man is).

His name is Erebus, and I love him. I love him so much, in fact, I finished this in exactly 1 hour (I was very inspired). Sandslash dominant, Mawile/Spiritomb secondary, Eevee tertiary. He evolved during a lunar eclipse so he is both Espeon/Umbreon, just like his wife <3 I haven’t finished her ref so I’ll just slap her under the cut so you can see how big this beast is too!

I was also really inspired by that new Infinite Fusion game, it made me want to revisit some of the characters I made for this (eventual) blog entirely. Sandslash is my favorite Pokemon of all time, and I don’t do enough with it!! The Eevee/Sandshrew and Sandslash fusions are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I’M IN LOVE WITH THEM!!

Her name is Eunomia and they have two beautiful babies <3333 I haven’t revisited their designs yet though so you guys will have to wait for that haha! NO SHE IS NOT RELATED TO VANILLE. Yes I couldn’t get away from Gardevoir/Eeveelution hybrids, I love it so.

in my perfect little world digivolution mechanics are slightly tweaked so that ultimate and mega digimon are harder to evolve into, rookies and champions are viable for a longer time when repeated digivolutions make them strong enough to face even higher digivolution stages without being at a significant disadvantage, ultimates feel like the natural peak of a digimon's lifespan and seeing them in fights is a sign that shit is REALLY going down, and megas are showcased sparingly due to extremely difficult requirements for evolution that only rise in the direst of situations that might only happen a few times over the course of the story. alas -

What was the first recorded mega evolution?

that, actually gets a lot harder to pinpoint unfortunately. there are many different thoughts on what was seen as "the first" occurrence. it also depends on the region you're in, i guess. those in kalos believe it to be from lucario and aura or when the ultimate weapon was first fired 3,000 years ago. in hoenn, people will tell you it was rayquaza that brought forth mega evolution. it gets dicey, and frankly, i'm not one about to overstep on others beliefs here. but, i will be a bit biased for a moment and say i am inclined to believe it does originate in kalos. we do have a much more abundant natural occurrences of mega evos and base stones to be found.
