Something I’ve observed in men’s fashion week this year is the push to more feminine silhouettes. I don’t know whether this is a push towards more gender neutral fashion or it is implied to create controversy.
This is particularly due to more and more collections featuring skirts and extremely mini shorts which show the full extent of the leg which is somewhat shocking when combined with a 3-piece suit. Think about the talking point Pedro Pascal was at the met gala last year.
Plus, I’ve noticed that there are more female models being featured in the men’s collections as well as male models being expected in ‘women’s’ (usually typical) fashion week. Which is nice to see given that male models are expected in women’s spaces but female models are rarely seen in ‘men’s’ fashion.
Recent trends have been pushing towards a more gender-blurred androgynous fashion shows and I feel consumers -particularly young and more marginalised- are reflecting this. But I’m taking it is only a natural progression given that silhouettes are becoming more deconstructed in a meta-modern sort of responsive way.

I love sabo cz he is so bougie and elegant in his outfits but he also understands the importance of carrying around the sickass stick he found in a junkyard when he was 10
