Hey so we all think about this a regular amount..

Like I'm not the only dude thinking of Hosea and Dutch and their suits having the exact brooches, right??

I even went to search which these could be, and their meaning. Apparently, white flowers symbolize purity and innocence — and whatever flowers these may be ( google had given me carnations and camellias—If anybody actually knows what flowers their brooches are, do say!! ). I also, believe that white carnations usually(?) partake within a wedding? Because they too symbolize "pure love" and from what I had quickly found, "devotion". I seriously do not know, I'm not at all understanding of flowers so take what I yap to a grain of salt. I just felt silly today and wanted to look into this because I had to replay The Glided Cage mission!! Royal Men & Their Jewels 2/?

This brooch features rubies and sapphires to mirror the red and blue of King Edward VII's racing colours. The diamonds spell out the name Minoru, one of the King's most successful racehorses. Minoru won the Epsom Derby in 1909 to the great delight of his owner and supporters.

This brooch belonged to the King's son, the future George V.

Summer Ensemble

The jacket is linen with many hand done elements including the buttonholes and pockets. I based it heavily on the extant example at Colonial Williamsburg and another at the Kent museum. I was going to draft it myself But I lost my book so I just altered my tailcoat pattern. It was really cool to make a garment more specific to where I’m from. It can be worn with or without a vest.

The breeches are made with cotton with a slight sheen. I think it’s glazed cotton. The buckles I got from Burnley and Trowbridge and I like them a lot.

Both fabrics and the cravat fabric were acquired second hand.

The straw hat is vintage from roughly 1950s

 I'm in the process of making some new pin bar collar pins inspired by Scotland and the Celts. Luckenbooth pieces are heart shaped pins that sometimes have decorations on them.
