It’s been a hot minute since I watched any spn at all but I’m pretty sure Emily Swallow’s raw charm and screen presence quite literally saved Amara’s character from the depths of writing hell. Do you ever think about what this person was up against. Do you ever think about how bad some of Amara’s lines are. To say nothing at all of the Dean thing. And it’s just like.. how did Amara survive that? How did she become a Good Character not only in her initial season, but then also go on to become something of a fan favourite for just her minor role in s15? I’ll tell you. It’s because Emily got out there in front of the camera in spn s11, and she looked up from her script and said, I am going to say these lines but I am going to tilt my head and make my little faces and add just the right cadence to these words and I am going to create scenes of incredible palpable emotion and I will have her be so alien yet so human at once in faultless balance. I am going to make Amara Supernatural more endearing and sympathetic and dimensional than she could ever be on the page in my hands I will do this if it fucking kills me

Whitewave College: Special Round II

I played en extra round of college back when Aada Puhto and Emilie Hunt were introduced to the hood but didn't want to include their college adventures in my normal rotation. So, now it's time to properly introduce ex-townies Meri Broman and Aamu Simola! Both are rocking Finnish names courtesy of my Finnish game.

Aamu (means morning, blonde hair) is a student and a secret society member at the college, who has been dating Apple Farwood. Yeah, I admit. The reason I wanted to play this special round now is purely because I wanted Aamu out of college. She's an art enthusiast and therefore studied art in college, specializing in paintings (like Apple's mother!) and flower arrangements.

Meri (means sea, brunette) was, once upon a time, a teenaged friend of someone's, I absolutely have no idea anymore. I sent her to college but forgot about her entirely. I wanted someone to accompany Aamu, so I threw them together in the same dorm. Meri has been a bit of a challenge for me, both in deciding how she should look like and what her purpose/fate/future should be. I always plan ahead with my sims, but for now I have no plans for Meri. She is a science enthusiast and studied physics in college.

Once they graduated, Meri rented an apartment and Aamu moved in with her. It's a small apartment, but Aamu probably won't be hanging around for too long :)

So, in other words...

I stay up through the night; because that is when the moon and I have our conversations. I tell her about how I drown in the sparkle of your brown eyes and she tells me about how the sun makes-even the darkest parts of-her shine. 🌙💞🌻

Getting to know her was not easy. She had walls. Many walls built up. She put them as a test to see who would climb them. Climb them, and you’ll find a locked door. The key is communication. After you open the door, that if you get there, you’ll see her wearing masks. A thousand masks. The trick is to let her peel them off one by one and give her a safe haven to be herself around. She's goofy, sedulous, smart, chaotic, and a bit more. You just have to wait till she divulge one trait at a time.

I see the story in your eyes, and I want to read it. Your eyes are filled with such peace and thoughtfulness, I want to study their meaning. I am interested in the story they tell.

I see them sparkle and shine. I see them filled with emotion and desire. I want to know the story behind them. As dark as the night and yet lit like the full moon they shine. They look so deep like the deepest book, filled with endless pages I turn with such delight.

Let me know your story, let me read your heart that fills them. For your eyes are the index of such great content. Open them to me and let me look inside.

in this shot u will see what it looks like when viewing ur servers list. it's mostly the same, altho it is a darker colour now, which is more easy to tell when u see it on ur own device. i have highlighted the bottom section and the upper left corner bc, as u will note, they MOVED home/dms . this is evil

next, the new messages section, which also has a new design that i also hate so much. in this style, when u swipe out of a chat, u dont just go to the side of it (so as to check other notifs without leaving the given dm), you just get booted out. combined with how servers are now on the bottom, not the left, it Really Really sucks for people who liked being able to swipe over and easily check all possible activity at a glance (like me)

they also have some sorta?? scroll bar of other dms at the top?????? i have not talked to the user with the ratatouille icon in Litch Rally forever why the HELL are they up there. i think this might be how they're now displaying things like 'who's online' and what people are doing but it's ssosoosososo bad what the hell man i dont need to accidentally tap into a dm with someone i havent spoken to in half a decade

and here we see the new sidebar view containing things like server members. also a new terrible design, made worse by the fact that you can no longer swipe over to it. where old discord had u swipe to the right to see the sidebar, you now have to click the top of the given channel to see it. y'know why? bc now swiping right is a quick way of replying to a given person's message. oh, your muscle memory has you accidentally setting up replies to random messages for no reason bc you were trying to see the member list? seems like a you problem

in conclusion : this is bad discord go to hell
