In Latvia, base model Mazda MX-30  with 35.5 kWh (30 kWh usable) battery has a price tag - 33 990 €! (Real Range: between 120 - 255 km; City - Cold Weather - 170 km; Highway - Cold Weather-120 km; Combined - Cold Weather- 145 km)...

Look at the competition!?!  For example in Latvia, Opel/Vauxhall Mokka-e with 52 kWh battery has a price tag -  33 590 €, and real range: between 175 - 370 km;  City - Cold Weather *250 km; Highway - Cold Weather *175 km; Combined - Cold Weather *210 km.. 

Check prices and specs of these electric vehicles: Peugeot e-2008, Citroen e-C4, VW ID.3 (electric hatchback), Peugeot e-208, Opel Corsa-e and etc...   In some Western European countries, 2022 MG ZS EV (facelift) electric crossover (Unfortunately, it isn’t available in Latvia) is very serious competitor against Mazda-MX30...

MG Motor India electric vehicle sales up 145% to 2,798 units in 2021

MG Motor India EV sales spiked 145 per cent to 2,798 units in calender year 2021 amid a gradual shift towards electric vehicles in the country, the company said on Monday.

The company had sold a total of 1,142 units in 2020.

Currently, the company has one electric sports utility vehicle ZS EV in its India EV product portfolio, launched in January 2020. It later rolled out a facelift version of the vehicle in February last year.

With a certified range of 419 Km in one full-charge, ZS EV, according to the company, offers the longest range compared to any EV in India.

The ZS EV continues to attract customers' interest in India as MG averages 700 bookings per month, the company said.

MG ZS EV फेसलिफ्ट के इलेक्ट्रिक पावरट्रेन की बात करें तो इसे पहले से कहीं ज्यादा अपडेट मिले हैं। यह अब 72 kW बैटरी पैक के साथ आता है। कंपनी का दावा है कि नई इलेक्ट्रिक कार सिंगल चार्ज पर 439 किमी की रेंज देगी। यह रेंज अपने रेगुलर मॉडल से काफी बड़ी है। कंपनी ने यह भी कहा कि 318 किमी की रेंज वाला 51 kW का बैटरी पैक 2022 में उपलब्ध होगा।

अपडेट किए गए MG ZS EV फेसलिफ्ट चार्जिंग पोर्ट के अंदर चार-चरण संकेतक एलईडी इकाइयाँ हैं। यह चार्जिंग स्थिति दिखाता है। कार टाइप 2 और सीसीएस चार्जर के साथ-साथ ऑन-बोर्ड एसी चार्जर के साथ आती है जो बैटरी को तेजी से चार्ज करने में सक्षम है। ये सभी पिछले मॉडल की तुलना में काफी अधिक परिष्कृत भी हैं।

P.S.  Such a high price of fossil fuels significantly improves the competitiveness of electric cars...  If Chinese-made electric cars appear on our car market at "Chinese prices or significantly cheaper prices", then the sales of new diesel and petrol cars will collapse quickly even in our market.  The only factor that slows down the mass introduction of electric cars in the Latvian market is their initially high price.  However, Chinese made cars such as the facelifted MG ZS EV, MG5 EV, new ORA Cat and Xpeng P5 that are already available in Western Europe can make a huge acceleration in the introduction of electric cars as well in the Baltic region.  I am personally interested in long range versions of ORA Cat and BYD Dolphin...
