HOME ALONE (1990) REWATCH

You may be asking why is a horror blog reviewing Home Alone? Because the premise is terrifying! An eight-year-old being left Home Alone for the holidays and two (2) grown burglars coming in to do nefarious deeds? And how about from the perspective of the burglars who get bested by this child? They go through a living hell because of Kevin! Either way it felt more than appropriate to be reviewed here. This movie is very fun and very heartfelt. Worth a watch each holiday season or just whenever you want a bit of Culkin family fun.

Our film starts with a horror story about how the McCallister family live next door to a crazy killer (he is just a kindly old man but the kids don’t know that yet). Kevin is the runt of the family and isn’t having the best time being treated poorly by everyone. Things get even worse when he is left Home Alone when everyone else leaves for the Christmas vacation! At first Kevin is very excited about this but that excitement fades quickly when he meets our next two characters (and are they ever characters) Harry and Marv who plan to burgle Kevin’s home! This is very scary for him but he wants to be the man of the house so he staves them off by tricking them into thinking the family was still home by hosting a fake party.

Kevin is able to keep up his charade for a little but Harry and Marv are hungry for the house and are not going to let some snot nosed little brat stand in the way of them and treasure so they make a plan to break in. Kevin hears this plan and makes his own plans to thwart the burglars. Icing the stairs was a devastating blow to both men, he set Harry’s hat on fire, dropped an iron on Marv, honestly it was a house of horrors for those two men. And not to mention the tarantula! Kevin's brother, Buzz, had a pet tarantula that Kevin used to scare Marv and it worked like a charm. Kevin is caught momentarily but is saved by the man he thought was a killer in the beginning. It just goes to show what you really know, especially since Kevin and his neighbor are now friends. The family comes home and everything ends up okay!

Wendy and Kevin (Japanese: デジモン ウェンディとケビン 二人の選ばれし子供たちの物語 Hepburn: Dejimon: Wendi to Kebin - Futari no Erabareshi Kodomotachi no Monogatari lit. "Digimon: Wendy and Kevin - The Story of Two Chosen Children") is a Japanese/American anime musical romance film produced by Funimation and released by Toei Animation in cooperation with WiZ, Bandai and Fuji Television. The 15th Funimation animated feature film, it was the first animated feature filmed in the CinemaScope widescreen film process.

Based on the Cosmopolitan magazine story of "Home Alone" and "Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior" by Elizabeth Mayuku. It was inspired by William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. Wendy and Kevin tells the beginning of the story of a lonely 8-year old Chinese girl named Wendy Wu who made friends with several Digimon (Digital Monsters), led by SooLingmon after she and her family move to a suburban Chicago where they open their own five-star luxury hotel and a mischievous American boy of her age called Kevin McCallister, the son of the rival concierge, who was also home alone to defend himself from the burglars with the help of his faithful Digimon partner, Dracomon. When the two children and partners meet when they were kidnapped by the evil scientist, Yan-Lo and his henchmen, the “Wet Bandits, they embark on many romantic adventures and fall in love despite their feuding families. While in the Wonderbolt Academy, Kevin and Alex Pruitt became friends when they helped Kevin's mother, Kate. Unfortunately, they'll soon have to become mortal enemies. Wendy and Kevin was released to theaters on June 22, 1955 to box office success. It initially received mixed to negative reviews by film critics, but critical reception for the film has been generally positive in modern times, and the film is now seen as one of the best animated films from Funimation. Directed by Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, and Hamilton Luske, the film features the voices of Myriam Sirois, Brenda Song, Stephanie Sheh, Kathleen Barr, Macaulay Culkin, Johnny Yong Bosch, Vic Mignogna, Aaron Dismuke, Catherine O'Hara, Chris Sarandon, Devin Ratray, Hillary Wolf, Angela Goethals, Michael C. Top 5 TV Shows That Might Get a Possible Reboot 📺♻️

A list of 5 television shows that could, emphasis on could, be rebooted in the future. I can't say that I'm right about that, but, who knows?

1: Kenan & Kel (I mean, after all, if they could do a Good Burger 2, why not a reboot of this hilarious AF sitcom?)

2: Daria (They rebooted Beavis and Butt-Head and Clone High, why not this? Plus, Tracy Grandstaff did reprise her Daria role in an episode of the Beavis and Butt-Head reboot.)

3: The Adventures of Pete & Pete (Possibly. But it would have to depict the Petes as adults since Danny Tamberelli and Michael C. Maronna are in their 40s. Also, they'd probably have it in animated form.)

4: Hannah Montana (I heard that there was a planned reboot for this back in 2019.)

5: The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius (Again, once rumored to have a revival planned.)
