My headcanons for the monkees

1)Davy has plush Paddington

2) Every Friday there's a 'movie night' at the pad. Peter falls asleep in the first 10 minutes of the movie (unless it's a horror movie, of course.) Micky pops the popcorn and blows up the microwave, Davy picks the movie (they're watching a British comedy.) Mike sets up the couch, 'nesting' as Davy calls it. It always ends with Peter sleeping on his chest and Davy on Micky's shoulder.

Mels the Original (cos she has a junior, Mels Jr) is a wonderful, clever, talented, and caring girl who is also an assertive tomboy and often challenges the norm! She identifies with her heroes such as the electrifying Sailor Jupiter and the wayward Rorschach who is Micky for us (and thus also Captain Levi who is an expy of Rorschach in a way). Fun fact: Melody's Bday is March 20th, a day before Rorschach's bday on March 21st.

Melody Bijou is an aspiring fashion designer, and she is the one who designed Mumsy's new whimsical green themed outfit you see here. :3 💚 And picked out her own outfit for the illustration (the other Little Crow Goblins do this, too! =^.^= 💚)

For this picture, I have green cotton candy like I got on my first date with Melody's father, Karasu-sama 🐦‍⬛, while Mels has two orange-red balloons 🎈🎈 which is her favourite colour, and her favourite stuffed bunny rabbit 🐇tucked under her arm. And Papa 🐦‍⬛ looks great! =^-^= 💚

almost all of the songs are depressing or angry or neutral... even the monkees songs are either sad or far too complex to be considered happy. but I'm gonna go with daily nightly by the monkees because it;s poetic and vague enough to pass the test and it makes ME extremely happy and, as my good friend pitypang once put it, it's basically micky dolenz messing around on a moog over mike nesmith's dense but beautiful lyrics. <3

My dudes...

THE DAVY STRIPEY SWEATER IS CONPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just have to weave and clip the ends, but I'm at rehearsal tonight for a big band I'm in and have work all day tomorrow, so I will post pictures of it being styled tomorrow! I will also post a poll for the next sweater you want me to make. I'm making a slight adjustment to which ones I'm doing, as I seemed to have forgotten to include Micky... 👀 and one sweater looks hard to construct via crochet (I can only knit socks, sorry!).

Once this sweater series is done, then we can also do more Monkees clothing that I can crochet! :)

The pattern will also be posted with the video I mostly used and including the slight alterations I made to make it fit a little better. I'll have the colors and steps all mapped out too!! So if you wanna make the sweater, do it!!

𝙼𝚢 𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚍𝚊𝚢 𝚊𝚍𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎 ✨ // [Butch Patrick • The Munsters]

It has been such an honor to have finally gotten the chance to meet & spend some time with another longtime favorite of mine - Edward Wolfgang Munster himself. Fun fact: Butch also guest starred on an episode of The Monkees (which happens to be one of my favorite episodes 😂).

I really enjoyed hearing him share a small handful of his life stories at his panel interview yesterday. Both Butch & Micky talked about the terrible contracts they were given back when they were on their shows - including no residuals (residuals weren’t a normal thing back then because there wasn’t much for syndication. Times have obviously changed & it really sucks knowing that contracts don’t get updated with the times). Hearing Butch share some stories about Fred Gwynne & Al Lewis was a huge highlight to hear as well.

Butch is such a sweet, kindhearted soul. He really does appreciate his fans & genuinely cares about what he & The Munsters mean to us. His awareness & understanding of Munsters fans in particular really means the world 💚

'Tis December 10th...

I honestly didn't realize that 2 years ago today was the day that one of my favorite artists, Mike Nesmith, passed away. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in class (thankfully most of them went outside to do stuff) and decided to check my Instagram and saw Micky Dolenz's post saying Mike had died and I went into shock. I started pacing around the room and my friend was trying to figure out what happened and calm me down. Obviously, death is inevitable, and I had never met the guy, but I was raised with The Monkees. It had felt as though he had practically raised me (and it didn't help that my family and I had gone to his last concert at The Greek Theater). When you think of someone as highly as I did him, you think of them as almost immortal, and it's such a shock to the system. But for now, his music, his history, and his legacy live on through young/younger fans like me. We love ya Nez 💚

Me and Karasu adopted our son Teddy's 🧸 best friend Melissa!! So we have a new daughter!! 😊 🤍

Teddy 🧸 calls her Goldilocks! 🤍 (But Teddy 🧸 and Melissa says only Teddy 🧸 can call her that, tehe! 🤭🤍)

Melissa said her teddy bear 🧸 here is named Arthur, after King Arthur, with big emerald eyes! =^o^= 💚

Melissa is sweet, humble, courageous, talented, beautiful like a little angel princess, with a strong spirit and kind heart. I'm so happy to call her my daughter and one of our Little Crow Goblins. 🤍

I am reminded of The Legend of Zelda, especially The Wind Waker, with Melissa reminding me of Princess Zelda with her strong beautiful spirit and quiet yet cheerful energy, and Micky @octobernocturne said she has mermaid, ocean vibes. I agree. My Little Mermaid Angel Princess. 🧜🏼‍♀️🐚

Melissa helped me draw her last night in my art journal and again today with this digital portrait of her. Melissa said she wanted a deep ocean colour for the background, so that's what we went for. 🌊💙
