Hi! Could we see more photos of Chateau Simont? It's SO SO cool and I'm so inspired by it!
ahhh thank you so much! I'm happy you like it! I have these for now as they didn't fit into the last set, but I'll definitely take some more soon :)
btw, the original build is by simprehend on the gallery, I changed a lot of things, but it's a great base!

I'm not ready to shut up about Aveline and Carver--so, when you go see Aveline in Act 1, you can catch up with her a little bit and that's where this conversation can happen:
Aveline: "It's just one more change, though. The real end for me was Ostagar. What about you, Carver? You were there. Do you feel something similar?"
Carver: No.
Aveline: All right, then. Bit of a tit, your brother.
I wanted to see what she would say if Carver isn't in the party. Instead, she says this:
Aveline: Carver was there. I imagine he feels something similar. If he allows it.
......well, at least she didn't call him a tit?

Something I've been thinking a lot about lately is how everyone thought Egon had gone insane. What Happened that made them think that. They've fought a gigantic Stay Puft Marshmellow Man TWICE (counting the 2009 video game because iirc it's canon? Correct me if I'm wrong), fought an interdimensional god, fought a blood thirsty ruler that killed thousands and was hated by all that was trapped in a painting (and managed to get in to beat him by making THE STATUE OF LIBERTY start walking down the street with slime that reacted purely based on vibes), found an underground abandoned transit system full of the moodslime, had a bathtub try to eat Dana and her baby, fought a giant murderous black widow lady, fought the fisherman ghost who turned an entire hotel floor into the bottom of a ocean, and that's not even mentioning them getting trapped on an island that randomly raised up from underwater that had been abandoned for decades created by Ivor Shandor who worshipped Gozer. So what did he do or say that made everyone else think he'd gone insane?? All I can think is maybe he was acting strange / eratic before, but he's always been like that to some degree.
I don't know. It's something that I've been thinking about. The correct answer is 'it's not that deep and they needed a reason that the others weren't together anymore and weren't aware of Egons death or know what was going on,' but also. What Was He Saying that prompted everyone, including Ray, to think he lost his mind when he'd been right almost every time before that.
I'm genuinely so curious as to what he was up to before this. What was he doing. What insane idea was working on prior to this or was he even working on anything at all??
Also want to clarify this post isn't negative 😭 I really love the newer movies and their lore / the newer storyline / characters, I just like thinking about small stupid things like this. Gives me something to think about / speculate about / figure out an answer to.

So I deliberately failed the wisdom save just to see what happened and... ouch. I'd heard there was an option to beg the party to put you down like a rabid dog (and get a unique bad ending by successfully getting them to do it) and I wanted to see that, but it didn't show up. Which is very sad, but this almost makes up for it.
That "No one will ever love you now, might as well take pleasure in being feared" thing... Augh. Again, I find myself wondering if this sort of thing has happened to Durge before; that "It is better to be feared than loved (especially if love is likely to end in murder)" thought process is the sort of conclusion I can see them coming to pre-amnesia. "No one will ever love you now" is also not an unreasonable conclusion to come to, since as you may be able to guess from that Shield reaction popup the party does in fact immediately try to put Durge down like a rabid dog—their words—if you don't convince them you had nothing to do with it. I said I didn't get the option to beg them to put me down like a rabid dog, not that there was no putting down being attempted.

"Albie" (main story 11-21)
At the end of Episode 11 (Part 1), we find out that "Albie" is simply a name that Vyn made up on the spot when Rosa asked. He may have been inspired by his own birth name, Vilhelm Richard Albert de Haspran.
In Chinese, Vyn choose the name "阿明". "阿" is a prefix used to form nicknames, "明" can be a name but also means "bright, clear". In Vyn's Romantic Rail Getaway card "Food for Thought", he tells us the meaning of his name:
You can see the character 明 appear in the word 明亮 ("bright"), although 明 is such a common character that I wouldn't say that this Chinese text alone is enough is sufficient evidence to show the connection between the two names. It's the way that the "Albie" and "阿明" happen to coincide in the name "Albert", which made me take note of Vyn's "careless" choice in name.
If the Chinese name was intended to subtly reference "Albert", I can certainly imagine imagine this as one way to preserve that reference through translation, even if it becomes more obvious. We do have an example of the translation preserving plot-relevant wordplay in a name: Lowe Leare ("Lowly"), originally 萧仁 ("小人", both pronounced "xiao ren" but with different tones). However, there's also an incident of a plot-relevant name being missed through translation, though it was in an event (not the main story) that probably foreshadowed a distant plot point and had infamously bad translation issues.
Anyway, it remains possible that "Albie" is a coincidence. However, after Vyn and Rosa wrap up their conversation about Albie's name, the narration makes a comment on the importance of that moment:
It isn't until the whole case is settled that you are surprised to realize something... You had briefly touched on the key to cracking the case at this very moment.
...which at least gives me enough confidence to not feel silly writing up a whole post about it. We've only seen part of this case, and there's a lot of mystery still surrounding Vyn's behavior so I don't have any definitive hypotheses on why Vyn might have chosen his own name for Albie. Is there something that made Vyn seen himself in Albie? Did the delinquent's attitude remind Vyn of the cruel, stratified world that he was born in? Is he reminded of how people who have imperfections will be tossed aside and abandoned? I guess we'll see when part 2 of this episode is released.

longing for the sunshine, even if my wings may melt away
id: a digital drawing of mirage and gabriel from ultrakill. they’re shown running in green fields over a blue sky. mirage is closer to the viewer and she’s looking up, her legs are cut off by the frame. gabriel is fully visible, behind mirage and holding her hand, looking up into the sky as well. end id

I got Faruzan, and I also had elegy, I was going to use elegy on Venti but he has a r3 stringless that has high EM. I feel bad for giving her his bow I was trying to save for him, but the only reason I got her was to make him and Scaramoche stronger!
I hope he isn’t mad at me 🥲
😬😬😬
Mad probably isn't the right word, not like he could ever truly be mad at you of course, but maybe concerned fits better? You're not thinking of investing more into her than him right?
He's a bow user too! He's got wayyy more experience with a bow that she does you know. Ha, someone who claims to be a century old or so? Try 26+
And don't think he's forgotten about our dear Scara there, you're not thinking of switching over to the shiny new anemo user, right? Honestly, it's his element, he shouldn't be one to discard so easily
You're in the clear for now, of course your choices are always absolute and he respect them no matter what, but he might just have to prove how he can perform even better with a simple 4 star bow that that nice pretty decked out limited time 5 star one, you wouldn't bench him then right?

School is starting tomorrow and since I'll be so much busier with it I've decided to take a hiatus from social media from now until I finish playing Echoes of Wisdom. I'll still be on AO3 as much as I can to read/post, (and I mean commissions still open because I need money). Except for my queue which should last through the hiatus.
REAL PINNED POST
