Mike & Abby Easter Headcannons

• Mike always hides eggs for her. Without fail. Every year. He probably enjoys hiding them more than she enjoys finding them, honestly.

• He's super annoying about not just TELLING her where one is when she can't find it, he'll just go "warmer..." or "colder...!" until she gets fed up and throws empty plastic eggshells at him.

• Abby knows the Easter bunny isn't real. She's not dumb. But it's a fun tradition, and she's willing to play pretend for as long as Mike is.

• Mike never busy himself any Easter candy. He "doesn't need the extra calories". Yet every year without fail, he ends up bumming Abby for candy, stealing a chocolate here and there. (She acts annoyed, but secretly doesn't mind sharing.)

• The first time Mike showed Abby the "draw with white crayon on an egg before dyeing it and the dye won't stick there" trick, she thought he was magic. Now, she draws a doodle on every single egg before dunking it in the colored water. Mike always makes comments on how they look "too good to eat," then eats one before they're even done dying them anyways.

• Once he forgot where he hid one of the hard boiled eggs... until it stank up the front porch. He nearly gagged when he found it two weeks later, tucked into an old flowerpot.

• Easter is like, the one time a year Mike drags Abby to church... If only for the giant egg hunt they host. He definitely has some kind of religious guilt from not going more often, but he's just too busy and tired. (He used to use Abby as an excuse, since she refused to sit still when she was younger. Now that she's older, he could go, but just doesn't care to. Neither does Abby.)

• (Post-movie) He and Abby happened to run into someone dressed as the Easter bunny outside of, like Walmart. And it just so happened to be a YELLOW bunny. Mike jumped two feet in the air and nearly pissed himself, and Abby just laughed at him. The guy in the costume thought it was hilarious to see a grown man so scared of a bunny, and the high-five he gave Abby made Mike just want to punch him. He didn't, thankfully.

How Mike would treat his 💙partner💙 on Easter:

• He'd definitely make you an Easter basket. Nothing super fancy or expensive, he spends most of his budget on Abby. But he'd make sure you feel included and appreciated.

• Your basket would include: Your favorite candy, a pack of gum, something related to one of your hobbies, (ex: guitar pick, yarn, nail polish, colored pencils, etc), a cheesy hand-written note, a few plastic eggs with candy, a small stuffed animal, and a savory snack, like chips or pretzels. He's attentive, and knows what you prefer.

• Depending on how long you've been dating, he might even throw in something a little raunchy... like a pack of flavored condoms, lube, or a "toy". More as a gift to himself than you.

• He'd absolutely let you spend Easter with him and Abby, but wouldn't pressure you if you wanted to be with your family. If YOU invited HIM to spend the day with YOUR family, though? He'd fucking melt. ESPECIALLY if they were warm and welcoming to him. It'd make him cry like a baby to see Abby getting along with the other kids.

Oh you two definitely snooze on like. Every "date" (watching TV after Abby has gone to bed). Mike swears up and down he wasn't snuggling you but you wake up to his firm arms tight around you

If you yawn, he will yawn. You tease each other for making the other sleepy. Jokes on you both you're always sleepy.

"Are you up" "yeah" "I texted you that three hours ago"

He's shy to ask, but he does prefer when you come over and sleep with him. It helps with the nightmares and Trauma™ (he'll pretend it's just so you can babysit Abby)

In a Relationship

You both fucked up the other's sleep schedule. You work the day shift, he does nights. You're both sleepy all the time but refuse to rest unless it's that small window of overlap

Mikes bed is soooo boring before you came along. Now it's full of fluffy, warm blankets and pillows and plushies. (Abby is a smidge jealous)

The winter time is prime snuggle n snooze time

Mike often kisses your temple as you begin to nod off. He does it more often than not that it's almost like your "lights out" button

Oh my godddd, I was really excited to do this one because I've never done this trope before!! Sorry if it's a bit all over the place. As always, feedback is appreciated greatly! :) (Tried to make this gender neutral.)

The smell of rain filled the air as the downpour surrounded the area. The grass y/n stood on had quickly become damp as they stood there; bag over head, desperately looking around for cover of some sort.

By a stroke of luck they saw a dimly lit building. It looked abandoned to say the least. Y/n immediately started to run towards the building, their shoes squeaking against the wet grass. Once they were right outside they took a closer look at the sign. "Freddy Fazbear's", with some sort of bear wearing a top hat and bowtie.

What is this place? They thought to themself, subconsciously scanning the building for any other people. Nope, definitely empty... Empty with locked doors. Y/n sighed and started walking around the side, their clothes becoming soaked by the rainwater. Gross.

Y/n let out a sigh of relief upon seeing an unlocked door around the side of the building. They gently opened the door... (this was done on purpose, sorry ddlc fans)

The inside was dark. Very dark. Various tables and chair were scattered across the tiled floor, thy were dusty and unkept. Much like the arcade machines to the right side, untouched for what looked like years. At the very front of the room sat a stage, covered by a crimson curtain, though it was hard to see in the dark. What mattered was that it was somewhere to wait for the rain to stop.

They carefully took a step forward, looking around the room, eyes squinted. "Hello?" Seems like no-one's here. Y/n took several more steps forward, making their through the dark building; failing to notice a little pebble just waiting to ruin their day. Y/n yelps, being dragged down to the floor. "Ouch.."

They hold their knee for a minute before jolting up at the sound of a flashlight being turned on. The bright, headache inducing light pours down, illuminating them along with some of the hard-tiled floor around them.

They look up to see a man wearing a security jacket. Now I'm in trouble.

"Um.. Hello?" The man looked to be in his 20s. "Uh sorry, am I not allowed to be here…? They quickly stand up, pulling an arm above their eyes to avoid the light. “What are you doing here? This place is closed.” Just look at that short, brown, curly hair.

"Well, it was raining and I need to find somewhere to cover until it stops. Sorry, I'll go if I'm causing any trouble."

"No, no, you're good-" And gorgeous brown eyes.

He turns the flashlight towards the floor, giving them a half smile. "What's your name?" Oh, and that face... Y/n felt their heart melt at the sight, this guy is... Amazing! Wait, what did he say?

"I'm y/n! And yourself?" They smile at him. Trying to hide the blush creeping onto their face and trying not to get lost in his eyes.

He smiles in return, his brown eyes almost glowing in the darkness surrounding them both. "That's a pretty name. I'm Mike."

He pauses, his smile faltering slightly. "Hey, you look cold. Uh, here, take this." He says, unzipping his jacket and removing it, holding out to them instead. Y/n can't help it anymore, their cheeks glowing pink even in the dark. They take the jacket and zip it around themself. "Thank you, Mike... So, do you work here? I thought this place was abandoned."

“This place closed down in the 90’s.. but I'm the security guard. I just check in on this place after dark to make sure nothing bad is going on here.” That makes sense. If he's a security guard he must be strong. God, just look at him... I've never seen anyone so perfect before!

Mike must've noticed their eyes staring at him, he clears his throat. "So, I need to go check on the monitors and stuff, feel free to just sit in the dining room for a while. I'll be in the office if you need anything." He smiles back at them, now blushing a bit too. Probably from the attention he isn't used to. "Oh and one more thing,"

He pauses.

"Would you like to get coffee some time?"

Little thing from my Detective Ness AU (<- the name is sorta inaccurate for what the au actually is but whatever)

Remember how I said he's immortal in the way that he can die but is auto-revived?

In the au there is a moment where Ness gets stuck in a springlock suit for a couple days and he actually does really well at not dying then Mike and Vanessa find him and Vanessa's all like "I got this" then accidentally sets the springlocks off and kills him. Then she's like comforting Mike for a while and Ness is like stuck in a silent death loop bc he keeps getting revived then bleeding out bc his wounds can't heal. Eventually Mike and Vanessa get him out of the suit to respect him properly or something and Vanessa is fully expecting the animatronic to move on it's own or some other sign that it's possessed by Ness, she is completely caught off gaurd when the guy stands up like "Wow, that was painful 😀" and just goes on with his day

I want a fic where Mike is, like, extremely superstitious. The reader makes fun of him for it, teasing him while they watch a scary movie or something. But the man has literally seen ghosts. They haunt his nightmares.

But he can't tell anyone that, or he'll be put in an asylum. So he just has to suck it up and get bullied for being a scaredey-cat.

He's the type to thrift toys and do DIY dollar store activities but that doesn't make them any less fun and in fact it's a tad more meaningful as he had to put more work into setting these things up

Does not like to be called dad/Dada/papa or nicknames that give the impression he's your dad

Does like to be called your older brother, big bear, papa bear, Mike, Mikey

Nicknames he'd have for you: Bubba, buddy, princess/prince/princette, troublemaker, animal related nickname like puppy/ducky/kitty

Oftentimes your playtime would be the TV on with a movie from Blockbuster playing. Either you're seated on his lap, or playing with toys on the floor. Mike, meanwhile, is napping. You tease him for his loud snoring

He'd take you to the park. His favorite thing to do there is play in the sandbox with you. Afterwards, he'd take you to Sparky's to say hi to Ness and get your favorite order.

There's a dedicated VHS section to your little shows like Dora, Blues Clues, Wiggles, etc.

When it grew colder, he'd help put on your coat, mittens, and hat. There would be plenty of Snowball fights (Mike loses, of course) and you'd proudly build a snowman in front of the house while Mike makes you a mug of hot cocoa

He'd never be ashamed if you needed padding, a paci, a sippy cup, or any other little gear. He'd actively ask if you needed it, and would keep everything in a box in the closet, never too far away.
