I've been having a string of crappy days, with an occasional decent one. But, I peeked back into tumblr and saw @mikefrawley snowball post and it made me smile, when I really needed a smile ❤️ love you all!

While I'd love to take full credit for my incredibly altrusitic nature LOL, the numbers actually represent something far more simple and extremely less egomaniacal. In truth, they remind me of how grateful I am to be surrounded by the lovingkindness of so many dear and talented friends! Grieved the Loss of That Version of Myself:

Seeing my Tumblr show up as "Not Found" felt like the universe had sucker-punched me. After almost a year, I finally returned to Tumblr, ready to refresh my personal abode. I decided to change my theme, and somewhere between coding, saving, and refreshing, Tumblr decided to remove my blog—at exactly 5:51 PM (because, of course, I was looking at the time when I refreshed my blog).

I was stunned for five minutes, panicked, Googled frantically, and sent an email to Tumblr support—only to find out they no longer respond to that email. One article online advised creating a new Tumblr account to contact support from there. So, I sent another support ticket via Tumblr and then messaged Mr. Mike @mikefrawley. I cried for a good 20 minutes, sat there in shock for an hour, refreshed my new Tumblr, and saw that Mr. Mike had replied to my message. That gave me some relief—because he reblogged my last poem! At least one piece of my words made it into someone else’s space before everything was wiped away. 😭

I stopped crying and reblogged my last poem from @dontcryitsonlyreblogs! Haha—how fitting is their URL, given the situation I was in. Wow…

I had dinner and then started working on my new Tumblr theme (inspired by Parti’s Twumbler theme from 2010) for this fresh start. It took me exactly 14 hours to accept that my blog, which I thought was 14 years old (turns out it was nearly 13… but let’s just round it up), was a relic of a past self—a self I had, until recently, dismissed as weaker, less articulate, and completely lost.

Already Changed My Mindset:

Two days ago, I spent an entire day reading through my old posts. I was shocked by how deep and well-expressed my thoughts were. Sure, there were plenty of self-pitying posts, but they were balanced by just as many motivational ones. That realization hit harder than losing the blog itself. If anything, it confirmed that I need to document and preserve my thoughts more intentionally.

Tumblr Was Just a Medium, Not the Message:

Who I am didn’t die with Tumblr. That version of me still exists within. If anything, this is just a fresh start.

Detached, Strategic Mindset Now:

The past is not a place to dwell in—it’s a resource to extract lessons from.

Finally...

Yes, losing my Tumblr was a gut punch, but my current mindset absorbed the impact quickly.

By 9:33 PM, I had already stopped grieving.

My Dear Friends

Good afternoon everyone, and I hope you all are well. Just wanted to let you know I won't be here tomorrow. It's outpatient surgery day. I'm getting ready for a 445 am pickup, and I'm almost excited. 😊 I hope this finds all of you well, and do not worry about me.
