sighing, you shoved your phone into the back pocket of your pants after sending a quick reply to your friends' messages. you took your time staring at the practice room's door even after mina closed it in front of you. the piece of paper taped to the door with NEOS written on it seemed to taunt you before you began to hear footsteps approaching the door from the other side. just now realizing how long you've been standing there, you quickly made your way to the stadium.

the loud conversations of each audience member greeted you as soon as you stepped out the backstage door. your friends weren't hard to spot with how ochako was waving you over to the group. you made your way through the crowd, excusing yourself from the others that came to watch the band, most of them more excited than you were.

"there you are!" ochako's raised her voice to compete with the crowd's. she pulled you in closer to the group when shoto stood beside you.

"were you able to talk to mina and the others?" his voice sent shivers down the back of your neck when he leaned down to make sure you heard him clearly.

"oh my god I was! he was so AAAAAH and I didn't know how to respond so the whole time I was screaming on the inside DO YOU KNOW HOW HE LOOKED AT ME? I was about to melt on the spot! BUT THEN BAKUGOU OH MY-" you were cut off by ochako raising her hands in front of you as if you were a car about to run her over.

"woah there lover girl. as much as I'd love to gush with you over whatever happened, I need to know who we're talking about first." from your right, you could see hitoshi looking at you from the corner of his eye before turning his attention back to the video playing on his phone. you turned to ochako before going on your rant again.

"I'M TALKING ABOUT SERO! andmaybebakugoubutI'llgettothatlater literally when I got in their practice room he walked right up to me and hugged me! BUT RIGHT BEFORE THAT YOU SHOULD'VE SEEN HOW HE LOOKED! he was sitting on a table with one of his feet on the stool in front of him and he was playing with the strings of his guitar OHH-" ochako started grabbing at your hands when a grin that stretched from one side of her face to the other replaced her smirk. to your left, shoto and izuku could only watch you girls as you talked about your previous interaction with the band.

"wait stop you mentioned bakugou too right? WHAT HAPPENED WITH HIM?" matching ochako's energy, you leaned in to her face just as much as she did before screaming your lungs out as an answer.

"AT FIRST HE DIDN'T LOOK OR COME CLOSER TO ME AT ALL BUT WHILE I WAS TALKING TO MINA AND JIROU HE WALKED UP TO US AND WHEN WE MADE EYE CONTACT HE NODDED AT ME THEN MY JAW MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE DROPPED BUT WHEN IT DID HE FUCKING SMIRKED AT ME" you could feel a hand patting your back after you shouted what had happened with the drummer in one breath. at that point, you and ochako were holding onto each other's hands as support as you jumped up and down with her as she squealed about what you had just said.

"okay, maybe take a breath for a bit?" izuku chuckled from behind you as he continued to pat your back and hand you a water bottle. as you slowly stopped your jumping fit, you let go of ochako's hands and turned to izuku. you quietly thanked him and took the bottle from him when you got a punch to the arm from ochako.

"we're so lucky to have front row tickets then! it's a bigger chance you FINALLY get your k-drama moment with bakugou." every word she spoke came with a wink and a nudge to your arm courtesy of her. "or maybe, sero?" with a final wink from ochako, you gently nudged her off next to hitsohi as you finished drinking from the water izuku gave you.

you were about to retaliate against ochako's teasing when the lights around you dimmed down, and the intro to crushcrushcrush blasted through the speakers scattered around the stadium. along with the others, ochako, izuku, and shoto all turned their attention to the stage in front of you. from the corner of your eye, you see hitoshi shut off his phone and tuck it in his back pocket. without a second to waste, you and your friends joined the crowd in welcoming the band.

cheers and applause filled the venue as one by one, each member of NEOS made their appearance on stage. of course, no concert of theirs would be complete without bakugou's signature drum sequence once the spotlight was on him no matter what the opening song was.

the album today's concert revolved around was the first ever album of the band's that had the boys' voices featured in most of them. kaminari has sung She's Thunderstorms, and bakugou sung part of Die For You along with jirou. for most of the songs, it felt as if your attention was on the drummer, and only him. the only time your eyes were peeled away from him was when sero stepped up to the microphone at the center of the stage.

the loud cheers of everyone around you were drowned by the bassist's voice that resounded from the speakers the moment Suck It and See played in the stadium. the faces surrounding you were blurred out too when a smirk played on his lips and his eyes caught yours.

"that's not a skirt girl, that's a sawn off shotgun and I can only hope, you've got it aimed at me"

it seemed that that the only thing that mattered was the spotlight that shun on his figure when the lyrics left his tongue. and when a wink from his dim eye was sent towards you, you were starting to wish you wore less layers with how warmth overcame your senses. sero's eyes almost never left you for the rest of the song and you couldn't be more grateful. bakugou could've used the break from your burning stare by now, and with your eyes on sero for the rest of the setlist, he got the well deserved break you thought he might've wanted. little did you know, sero wasn't the only one with his eyes on you for the rest of the concert. too bad you weren't looking at the poor drummer at the back of the stage anymore.

it had been a few minutes since the band left the stage and slowly but surely, the crowd started to leave the stadium one by one. you and your friends had stayed behind to comply to mina's wish of seeing you all backstage. without a second thought, shoto agreed to the offer while hitoshi only hummed and nodded since his attention was divided between your conversation and whatever he was looking at on his phone again. ochako grabbed onto izuku's shoulders as she started to jump up and down as you all walked balkstage and toward NEOS' dressing room.

your reply had just finished sending when ochako and izuku that were in front of you stopped walking. you heard a knock and you raised your head to the sight of sero opening the door for all of you, his bright signature smile was ever so present. and you were sure you'd go blind from how bright his grin was, until a pair of red eyes behind the bassist caught your attention once again. if you were to go blind from sero's grin, you're for sure going to get a seizure from bakugou's smirk.

a/n: I'm genuinely ashamed at the way I kept grinning while writing the whole part with sero singing bc he's just so</3 anyways!!! the start screen is finished!! who do we think S is so far??

"You missed rehearsal today," Sana announces, dropping into the seat beside Kaori in the empty photography club room.

"I was busy." Kaori doesn't look up from her contact sheets, definitely not noticing how Sana's uniform skirt rides up as she leans over to peek.

"Too busy to watch me practice the balcony scene?"

"The promotional photos are done. You don't need me there anymore."

"Hmm." Sana's finger traces one of the photos – a candid of her laughing during break. "Then why are you still developing pictures of me?"

Kaori freezes. "These are... for the drama club archive."

"Really? Including this one?" Sana points to a shot of her sleeping in the library, sunlight making her glow. "Didn't know drooling was part of my Romeo aesthetic."

"I don't—I wasn't—" Kaori splutters, face burning.

"You know," Sana leans closer, her breath tickling Kaori's ear, "if you want to stare at me, you don't need a camera as an excuse."

"I'm not staring."

"No?" Sana plucks the loupe from Kaori's hands. "Then why do you have three rolls of film just from yesterday's rehearsal?"

"The lighting was... complicated."

"Must have been, since most of these are close-ups of my face." Sana's smile turns wicked. "Especially my lips."

"That's not—"

"Want a better view?" Sana turns Kaori's chair, eliminating her escape routes. "No camera needed?"

Later, when Mina finds them, she just sighs at the abandoned contact sheets and the way Kaori's usually perfect camera bag is knocked over.

LAKE SONG.

INFORMAÇÕES E CONEXÕES

Lake é o herdeiro da Blossom Vineyard, e vem de uma família que está em Apple Cove há décadas, seus pais, infelizmente, já falecidos. Cindy e David, eram "cientistas malucos" do vinho e criaram receitas secretas, portanto, os vinhos dos Song são únicos e Lake passa muito tempo nos laboratórios fazendo exatamente o que aprendeu com seus genitores. Seu nome na verdade é Logan, mas ele se recusa a responder por ele, já que se rebatizou quando adotou suas novas ideologias, após seu encontro com o sobrenatural nas minas, quando ainda era um adolescente.

Sempre foi um adolescente descontraído e era facilmente impressionável pelas lendas locais, portanto, um dia quando saiu com seus amigos rumo às minas e acabou se perdendo entre a profundidade da mesma e jura ter visto criaturas sobrenaturais antes de apagar. Quando foi encontrado e relatou a experiência aos pais, ambos acreditaram nele, mas o restante da cidade não achou nada demais, especialmente vindo de um jovem que passava tanto tempo bebendo vinho e fumando maconha com seus amigos na floresta.

De qualquer modo, isso o "transformou" e Logan passou a acreditar em todas as lendas locais: o mago, a bruxa, os junimos. E, por isso, também decidiu mudar toda a sua vida e se tornar alguém em contato profundo com a natureza. Acredit em todo o misticismo da cidade, faz oferendas aos espíritos da natureza e tenta ser respeitoso com toda a magia que acredita estar à sua volta. Por isso escolheu o nome "Lake" já que era ligado à algo natural e, desde então, tornou-se mais um dos lunáticos da família Song.

"Alright everyone, I'll regret saying this... I just know it," the professor mumbles with sleepiness clearly evident in his voice. "Pick your partners for this quarter's project." The entire class groans right along with the professor. Yuriko was gathering her things as it was almost time for class to end. She knew she'd be working this alone since none of her friends were in this class, even though if they were she would still want to work alone. "Oh yeah,"

Please don't say it... "It has to be at least two people in the group; Toma no flying solo on this one." Yuriko forces a smile and rolls her eyes in annoyance. Now, Yuriko was not a problem student, no. She was the one who stayed to herself most of, if not, all of the time. So having to look for a partner was going to be easier said than done.

The bell finally rings and everyone is making their way to the door to either go home or to their next class. Yuriko sighs and heads to the front of the class towards the professor. "Sir?" She starts off timidly, "Could I have a second of your time?"

"What is it Toma?"

Yuriko rakes her manicured nails through her bangs as she composed herself before asking, "Are you sure there is no way for me to work on this alone? I don't really know anyone."

The professor neatly piles the papers on top of each other before looking at his student. "I would let you do this on your own if it wasn't such a big project." Yuri sighed. "Listen kid," he starts. "Pick anyone, no...  Not just anyone. Pick a kid who's smart and gets their work done." The professor looks around the near empty room and spots the one kid he had in mind by name. "Maybe someone one like Midoriya?"

Hearing that name Yuriko froze. Midoriya? As in Mina and Eijiro's friend?  Looking to where her professor was looking her pale hazel eyes widen in shock, similar expression on Izuku's face.

"Toma, hey."

Later on that day after all of her classes Yuriko looks at her notebooks which had the premises for her project. Sighing she pushed the chair away from her desk and throws the pen down. After reading over it she realized that her professor was right, it's too much to do on her own. It's three essays with over two thousand words for each one on the global pandemic and how it's effect each country, honestly overkill.

Yuriko's mind wonders to who she was partnered with. It was surprising to find out he's in the same college as her, even taking the same class. "I should've gotten his number..." Yuriko says to herself as she walks over to her kitchen. She pulls out a bag of chips and heads towards the couch to watch tv.

A little over an hour goes by of her enjoying the show before the phone begins to ring. "Hello?" She answers. There's silence on the other end of the line. "Hello?" She repeats. Finally she hears shuffling from the other side. Yuriko pulls the phone away to check the number to see if she knew it. It was completely foreign to her. After not hearing anything a couple of more seconds she goes to hang up before a voice cuts her off.

"Toma?"

That sounds like... "Midoriya?"

The caller lets out a chuckle as he situated his notebooks on the desk. "Yup," Izuku starts. "I got your number from Momo, sorry, I should've asked for it at school."

He sounds so calm and laid back that it causes butterflies to erupt in Yuriko's tummy. The line was silent as Yuriko tries to voice her thought without accidentally stuttering her answer. "N-no it's okay Midoriya." Fuck! "What's up?"

She heard more shuffling and assumed he was getting comfortable. "The project. I was wondering if you wanted to meet at Sunnie's tomorrow to go over it?"

"Sure, what time?"

Izuku smiles as he can hear the shyness in her voice. He found that to be adorable. Izuku wanted to hear it again and again. Only if... he thought. "How about 12pm?"

"Okay yeah, sure, sounds good. See you there Midori-"

"Izuku— we're going to be getting to know each other more— might as well be on first name bases right?"

"Right, Izuku."

chapter 005 - go fishing ( night four )

❝"( L/N ) THE THUNDER has seemed to move farther away." Kaminari stood by the window observing the light drizzle and clouded sky, as he shuffled a deck of playing cards.

( y/n ) hummed in response, absently tracing over her remaining marks from the previous night, they swam across her legs in faded squiggles.

She couldn't help but let a smile spread as she remembered last night.

Blue pen had stained her skin like tattoo ink. Intricate designs of sapphire etched across her limbs seemed permanent. Until the steamed water from her shower head burned most everything away. The stream ran a muddy haze of indigo, spiraling the drain in a murky hurricane.

While most of her complexion cleared, a few Os had remained. And when she crossed the doorway into class the next morning, those marks were the first thing a pair of amber eyes found. The pink girl's face seemed to subtlety glow with excitement as ( y/n ) blubbered excuses of mindless doodles.

Of course, in the end, ( y/n ) didn't think her white lies would pass Mina's observant mind. And she was completely correct. However, Mina didn't think to call out her friend, instead she began to silently plot something behind her glowing eyes.

Small pockets of conversations blossomed around ( y/n ). And while she wasn't particularly listening to anything in specific, a dazed smile flowered on her lips as she began to daydream of a certain yellow boy. She wasn't sure why this particular flower rooted in her mind. In fact she found thoughts of him more like weeds. Small, but quick to grow in numbers, and she never knew where the root was. All the girl could do was pull at the leaves, never quite knowing why he bloomed in her thoughts.

As she began to question her sanity, her gaze found a strikingly tired pair of golden ones. And almost as instantly as they crossed, the lightning eyes had disappeared.

Leaving her veins electrified, her skin felt as if she had just shoved a fork in an outlet, bubbling with a pricking sense of adrenaline. Though she hardly knew why.

Simply recalling this morning's scene made waves of heat wash over the girl's face.

It was almost 3 am in the common room and she was no longer suited in a tsunami of blankets, as she lacked a reason to hide. Spending time with a sunshine boy had brightened the darkness of the dormitory. The semi-hero had less of a reason to burrow away from the personified gloom when she carried her own personal bucket of sunshine.

Being around him, she felt like a cat in a pool of rays spilling from the window. Warm and comforted.

Finding her footing back on Earth, ( y/n ) called, "Kaminari?"

A small smile highlighted the boy's face when he heard his name escape her lips.

"What do you have planned for us this evening?"

"I'm glad you asked dear ( y/n )." He hummed, using the endearing title, "Yesterday's tic tac toe was very entertaining," the girl rolled her eyes, battling the creeping heat that danced along her nose and cheeks when he neared.

"It was also messy" She added turning his sunny yellow to an almost sunset red.

He cleared his throat, "Therefore," he continued, "tonight I have prepared a game of intellect, skill, and observation." Kaminari paused, "Go Fish."

The thunder sarcastically rumbled in response.

"Go Fish?" She held back a laugh, collecting the fan of cards dealt her way.

"Yes, Go Fish." After arranging his cards the bright boy looked beyond his paper edges to the girl in front of him. Even in shadowed hues, she seemed to radiate. There were small bites of joy highlighted across her figure. Cheerful creases decorated her eyes as hints of a smile lingered on her lips.

Not that he was looking at her lips of course.

"Okay, you rea-" The girl had looked up from her and instantly met a pair of lightning eyes. She choked on hot air, flustered to have caught him staring at her.

The yellow boy reddened with confrontation, "Are you alright!" He stuttered, reaching over to ease her fit.

Which would have been comforting had he not been the cause of her coughs.

With the movements of one simple action, the boy had somehow doubled her ruffled state. His hands fell atop her shoulder blades like a warm sweater. As if he were her favorite cardigan she began to soften under his touch. Melting like Midas' gold. He continued to circle lines across her arms, weaving into the very fabric of her skin.

She began to sink further into his connection and away from the confrontation of something weaseling towards her surface.

Realizing how long it had been, and that her abrupt coughs had ended long ago, she brushed him away, wheezing in air as if she had just ran for miles. "I- I'm good. I'm good." Her unassured reassurance made him lean back to his previous state. Though she had noticed he didn't remove his gaze from her.

"Do you want me to start." She nodded like a little kid with a crush.

Then it dawned upon her, is that what this was? Did she- Was she- All background noise had reduced to fuzz. She felt carbonation rise within her stomach in a flash flood. Her veins boiled with bubbles, and she could swear he heard the popping from under her flushed skin. In fact the whole surrounding area most likely heard the fresh crack of her conclusion as if she had opened an arena full of soda cans, echoing that refreshing crackle.

A sigh was released from across the couch, silencing the roaring sounds of the sparkling feeling. She quickly darted back to his gaze with realizing eyes, causing the boy to stumble over his words and drag his warm vision to the cards in play. "Do you have a four?"

She wondered what was on his mind. Did he happen to like her too, or was she merely a fool shot by some misguided cherub with an arrow.

"( l/n )" He called for her.

She smiled softly, unknowingly adding to the prickling sensation atop his skin. Maybe she did have a crush. But that was an adventure for another night. Tonight, her mind was absent. It had gone out fishing, "No I do not darling Kaminari, go fish."
