Sometimes, rarely, probabilities will break in Minecraft

The first time it happened, almost every oak leave I broke dropped an apple. This lasted a few seconds, but it would happen again every time I opened the world. I got like 3 stacks of apples before getting stone tools

The second time, which was even more ridiculous, happened recently when I got back from the Nether. There was a thunderstorm and it seems like all the lightning that would have happened during the time I was in the Nether happened at once? It was a lot, multiple seconds of constant lightning.

The thing is! All that lightning spawned a ridiculous amount of skeleton traps. I lost count of how many it spawned but definitely over 10, I'd even say close to 20. ~20 skeleton traps. What the fuck
