@blastlight I do!! I'd normally keep game screenshot posts for my main but Just This Once here's some from my current main world :]

this was my starter area; most of the buildings were just video tutorials I followed to fill the space without spending too long here, and the railway in the corner leads 1200 blocks away to my new base

I've yet to actually build anything at my base as it took days just to light up and fix the default terrain into a workable space, but it'll be in this Very Cool Cave™

the water/lava pool in the 3rd image is my favourite spot, I don't know how yet but I'm gonna build my house there because it's too cool to not make the focus. the rest of the cave will get filled with farms and spaces for pets/animals/cool mobs and an underground village!

a couple extra things: nether tunnel design! I still need to finish building a farm for more sea lanterns but I love this colour scheme ✨

and some cool shots of a mountain a few hundred blocks away from my base:

(shaders are complementary unbound, bushy leaves and other resource packs are from vanilla tweaks, and the world seed is -406319130 with the big cave at x940 z640)

i like how they rereleased oneblockmc, kept it up for long enough for me to get mildly obsessed again, and then put it into maint for more than 24 hours lmao

wait i have a really really terrible and extremely inhumane experiment. i need to know if villagers in the nether still try to automatically sleep in beds

really depends on the type of house you have and the overall design and vibe you're going with

i've had a tower that best looked with torches

a greek temple that was so beautifully lit up with sea lanterns and soul lanterns

a cosy park that was lit with glowstone

streets lit with lanterns

and those were all in the same base, literally next to eachother. and they looked good!

i really love how we've been getting more and more diverse lighting blocks. but also frog lights are utterly horrendous to obtain in survival and so completely unintuitive. there's literally no clue in the game that it's even possible. not sure whether there is an achievment for it but even then, that still makes it a very bad implementation

the best way to light your minecraft house is and will always be glowstone FIGHT ME
