Vine-Infested Undead Druid - CR3 Undead/Plant
It’s the circle of unlife.

A vine-infested undead druid is an undead creature resembling a zombie, but whose rotting body is being used as soil for unnatural vines, which have grown from it and become connected to the undead creature’s evil intent. It retains some fragments of the personality and skills that the druid had in life, but is twisted and unable to be reasoned with.
This creature has two attached vines which are considered to be additional creatures. As soon as you give the vines their own turns on the initiative tracker, players will nearly always realize that they can be attacked as separate targets without having to be told so.
The vines themselves aren’t considered undead creatures. They’re just evil plants. Similar to an animal companion, they don’t give their own experience points and are counted as part of the druid’s challenge rating. However, if you attach the Infesting Vine to a different creature instead of the Vine-Infested Undead Druid, count it as a CR 1/2 creature that gives 200 XP.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Wood Spike (Sp)
Three times per day, as a spell-like ability, a vine-infested undead druid can cast Wood Spike, dealing 1d8+3 piercing damage to a target creature that is within 30 feet of a wooden object. Both the target creature and the wooden object must within close range (35 feet) of the vine-infested undead druid. The target creature can make a DC 13 Reflex save to take half damage. If the wooden object is armor that the target creature is wearing, the target creature receives no saving throw, and takes an additional 1d3 points of piercing damage any time they take a move or standard action until the armor is removed.
This spell causes a sharp spike of wood to suddenly erupt from a wooden surface and stab the target creature. The spell is instantaneous, but the spike remains protruding from the wooden object after the spell has been cast. The wooden object gains the broken condition.
This is considered a 2nd-level transmutation spell.
Woodland Stride (Ex)
A vine-infested undead druid may move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at its normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that have been magically manipulated to impede motion, however, still affect it.
Infesting Vines (Su)
A vine-infested undead druid has two infesting vine creatures which are connected to its body and share its space. They act on their own initiative, but are moved automatically when the vine-infested undead druid moves. If the vine-infested undead druid is destroyed, the infesting vines immediately wither and die.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Attached (Ex)
An infesting vine is attached to another creature (typically a vine-infested undead druid). It shares that creature’s space and automatically moves with it. It acts on its own initiative, but cannot move on its own, and immediately withers and dies if the creature it is attached to is killed or destroyed.
Vine Strike (Ex)
A creature hit by an infesting vine’s tentacle attack must succeed at a Reflex save or be entangled. A creature entangled in this way can spend a standard action to remove the vines and end the entangled effect. The save DC is Strength-based.
While an infesting vine is entangling a creature, the entangled creature and the creature that the infesting vine is attached to cannot move more than 20 feet from each other.
While entangling a creature, an infesting vine can only use its tentacle attack on that creature. It can choose to release a creature as a free action.
Staggered (Ex)
An infesting vine is permanently staggered, and can only perform a standard action each round.
Inopportune (Ex)
An infesting vine cannot make attacks of opportunity.
