Fun Cyberpunk ISAT Au idea!

So, The King is a Cyborg Corporate Head, who took over and bought out the House of Change. Their 'curse' is a virus that puts people comatose through their Cybernetic implants, which he only started unleashing after he took over.

Every device and robot created by his corporation starts being controlled by a malevolent AI, that constantly cry loudly and attack wildly. They've been referred to as 'Sadnesses'.

The 'Change belief' is in fact Change inc., a cyberware corporation that was trying to be ethical and help people out, using corprate leverage to try and change Vaugarde for the better. Then the king took over, and ripped it to the ground.

Mirabelle: Mira joined the company because she genuinely believed in it's goals. She was snuck out by the old head with a cutting edge antivirus software before the place went down. Though, she has barely any Cyberware herself, which combined makes her nearly immune to the curse. She wants to stop the king and save people!

Isabeau: A street samurai who used to work for Change inc. for a time. When Mirabelle came to Jouvente, trying to get help, mot turned her down for being a Corpo, and tied to a company that had stopped being reputable. Isa however, noticed how genuine she was, and joined up.

Odile: She used to work in Ka bue, as a factory worker. When she started a riot, things went wrong. Her father sacrificed himself, begging her to live, as he helped her flee to Vaugarde. She changed her name to something Vaugardian, reclaiming something from her mother, and then spent her days seeing how far she can break the law without being caught. When the kings curse just started going out, she decided to help as someone with a little experience.

Bonnie: Bonnies sister had to use a lot of cybernetics to keep up, and make enough for the both of them. Some of which were made by Change inc. AFTER the king took over. When the king unleashed the curse, Nille was hit by both the curse, and the Sadness code., robotic enough to count for it. She managed to hold back her own body just long enough to help Bonnie flee. Bonnie uses the knowledge they gained taking care of Nille to help cook, maintain cybernetics, and fix up some body code.

Siffrin: A hacker and rouge. They pilot a proxy android body, not really meeting the party IRL at all. But their skills are unmatched, and happily joined the party.

But when Dormont happened, they went to a quiet spot, and thought to themselves 'You want to stay with them'. And then the timeloop happened.

As it continued on, they realized some oddities. They don't remember where they're from. Sometimes they can hear the king's thoughts when facing him. They... can't see where they really are...

Loop: A hologram that pesters both Siffrin and the party, only directly revealing them to Siffrin. They know the entire House. All events within the timeframe. Perfectly encoded into their circuitry. To the point where several of their loops were actually fully simulated. But now, now they can just manipulate things from the sidelines! They can find a way forwards. To fulfill the Main Directive.

King: They remember fragments. Fragments of a perfect island. They took over this human body, tricking it's old host into implants that would let them control them. And now. Now, even if they must trample the will of the people, they will remake that perfect world. That is their Main Directive.

'The Island' was once a collective AI simulation, based on a location that had been long gone. But a corporation, concerned with it's power, dismantled it with a virus. It resisted, but it's various components fragmented into various mostly disconnected pieces. Siffrin and the King are two of them.

The King is designed to run activities to fulfill objectives. Their current objective is to remake the island. They are using their curse to copy and upload minds into stored copies of people, to be placed into the new system once the framework is set and Reality is no longer necessary for them.

Siffrin is designed to simulate possibilities. But with how much resources the king has obtained for the 'island' they can take that ability to a new level and literally warp reality, in a way that matches their function. Literally exploring new possibilities by turning back time. And the end goal? Was set at that tree. When they told themselves what they wanted.

Extra details:

'Ghosts' are Siffrin's psyche bleeding into stuff they hack, and reacting to their subconscious thoughts. As well as the physical version of Errors in the time manipulation software.

In act 5, Siffrin just straight up starts to override the king and sadnesses. By the time he reaches the king, it's more out of habit. The sadnesses are gone, the king can barely act. But he does manage to force back Siffrin's psyche from himself in the end by using the curse code on him.

There's likely more to this AU, but this is what we have so far.

For the Android AU (the one where Luisa gains sentience):

Isabela was made for decoration purposes. Sit still, look pretty, and maybe hold flowers if you're good. She got bored, however, and ran away from her mistress for a new life. Now, she either makes weapons that look like ornamental stuff (fans with razor tips, lasers hidden in brooches, a metal rose with thorns that hold poison) or grows plants for her greenhouse. Maybe she does both.

Dolores is a spy android who doesn't want to invade anyone's privacy, so she tries to find a way out. Eventually, she finds out about the "Gentle Giant" and the "Rosebud Mechanic" (Rosebud is Isabela's brand of android) so she slips away to find them. As a spy robot, nobody notices or cares that she's gone.

Camilo is a jester android, able to modify his features to look like anybody for entertainment. His mistress is caught in the crossfire between two androids, so he tries to join them. Luckily, one of the two was Dolores, and she welcomes him to find his calling.

Mirabel is an android that had been thrown out because of a glitch she had. Nobody's entirely sure what sort of android she was before (SPOILER: SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A NANNY BUT THE FAMILY DIDN'T LIKE HER), but it soon became clear: it wasn't a glitch, it was a benefit. Rather than only focusing on one thing, she's a jack-of-all-trades. She can embroider, sing, dance, and more!

Antonio is Isabela's pet project, literally. She originally wanted to make a robotic animal, but she found that putting the software in a humanoid shell was more helpful. To pay homage to her original idea, she made Antonio a robotic jaguar companion. They have been inseparable from the day Antonio was booted up.

WOAHHHH OK. Loving all the types of androids and what they do. Honestly Mirabel being a jack of all trades is so real. She was probably trying to do the job of other androids rather than just babysitting/watching kids and they thought it was a glitch. Shout out to Isabela for dipping when she had the chance, same with Camilo. Dolores and Luisa for helping everybody (better than Marcus did...) ❗❓also Antonio. Very cool. Humanoid she’ll probably came from one those android models, you know like how Alice was a kid model??? Probably one of those. Also Parce mentioned‼️‼️

Experimental Vehicle Mechanic (Mechanic Alternate Class Feature)

 When you have a class dedicated to technology and the building and repairing of said technology, you really cannot go without having some variant focused on vehicles. After all, it doesn’t matter if it’s a fancy grav cycle, a low-tech dune buggy, or even a hovertank, the hot-rodding community is forever.

These mechanics may be engineers with a history at companies that built advanced vehicles, or they may simply be enthusiasts, or they may hearken back to the hot-rodders of Earth’s past, building and improving vehicles to make sure the authorities can never catch you in your illicit activities.

As you might imagine, these characters are usually just as good at piloting their vehicles as they are building them, and with the options for land, sky, and sea, there are plenty of options for them.

Now, obviously the biggest limitation of this option is that a vehicle is considerably bigger than a drone, and therefore cannot be taken on some missions. Luckily this option provides a way around that, but even then, it’s not for every campaign.

Even then, the moments that you get to use it, whether it be a solo speedster or a hefty craft the whole party can cruise in, can certainly make it worth it.

 These mechanics start with a level 1 vehicle, which can be a boat, cruiser, cycle, submersible, truck, or walker, and can start with some basic grafts such as amphibious, computer-assisted controls, junk, luxury, racer, or transport. As they grow in mastery, they can modify and improve their vehicles, eventually gaining access to all relevant grafts and even craft a particularly large vehicle later on.

Of course, building a vehicle is pricey, and in order to improve it, they must pay the difference in gold (though not for rebuilding it at an equal level.)

But a vehicle like this can still be cumbersome, which is why they eventually start adding collapsible sections augmented by null-space technology to collapse it down into a smaller form, which grows smaller as they achieve further mastery, allowing them to carry smaller vehicles with them, or let the collapsed vehicle follow them as a simple drone, though obviously it needs to return to full size to be ridden in.

Whether you’re planning on using it as a souped-up enercycle, an amphibious vehicle in a setting based on an aquatic world, a personal fighter jet or tank, or just the party’s main transport, there’s so much useful things you can do with it. Including using it for heavy firepower or just high-speed movement. You’ll naturally want to look into any mechanic tricks tied to this feature, such as remote piloting, as that will make the option much more viable as you can summon your vehicle from afar to aid you. Unlike other variant features, however, you may want to invest in feats to help improve your own combat prowess as well.

 While this is true to some extent with every form of mechanic class that build, improves, and rebuilds a device, truly these vehicle-focused machinists are all about pushing limits, be it speed and power, the number and size of guns they can load it without overloading it or flipping over when it shoots, the deeper or higher it can go, and so on. This daring and drive is likely what defines their personality whether they are an experimental technician or a local hot-rodder.

  Second Shell Underground is a race tournament open only to androids and SROs with the simple premise that the vehicle must be piloted by the mechanoid plugging themselves directly into their vehicle to control it as a second body. The race is cutthroat and intense, so ride-along partners, even fleshy ones, are permitted for maintenance and defense as long as it can be proved that no manual or remote control is used to replace or supplant the pilot. This year, the prize is apparently schematics for a new grav engine stolen from an engineering firm that dearly wants it back.

 Mirabelle Fallbower seemingly has it all, her own vehicular manufacturing firm, her own personal lab and machine shop to tinker with, and her own airfield to test her creations on. However, secretly she craves validation for her efforts that only a deity can bring, and so she has begun investing in finding a mage powerful enough to establish contact with the God of Swiftness itself and see if they acknowledge her efforts.

 The massive herding beasts of Valox 2 are not entirely tame, so taking care of them is best done from exceptionally speedy hovercraft so that one can get away quickly when a beast is in a temperamental mood. With that in mind, there is quite the hotrodding community on the planet that has gained some popularity in the galaxy despite being on a backwater world. The perfect place to hide if you’re a rogue engineer that wants to hide but still wants to build.

What if Casita was unable to properly protect Mirabel from the crumbling house when the magic began to fall? What kind of an impact would this tragedy leave upon her family... and what lessons would it force them to learn?

When they think back to it all, they each wonder why they couldn't save "her." But who was her? Were they the powers... or the family? And is it too late to bring her back?

It's the first part of chapter 1 for now but I hope to have Part 2 out as soon as I can, depending on how enthusiastic y'all are for this.

Mirab3l au(m3gan au) or Anton!o

Mirabel was upset that she didn’t have anyone to hang out with. She didn’t have a gift so that meant she didn’t have friends and somewhat family.  Mira was so alone and Alma noticed this. Alma was and is still one of the best-known robotic engineers of her time.  She was in the middle of making a new toy for children and who was freer to test it than Mirabel? 

Model 1 generative android or Anton!o for short was introduced to Mirabel on her 6th birthday. Mira deeply loved him and there wouldn't be a time when they weren't apart. The other family was confused about why Anton!o was given to Camilo because at least he was "special". The blue family was just happy that Mirabel had someone to play with.

Everything went smoothly at first but Anton!o started noticing how the family and people in town were treating Mirabel. Anton!o clearly remembers being told that his goal was to protect her from harm both physical and emotional.

so that's what he'll do, protect her.

Mirab3l was given to Antonio on his 7th birthday. The boy had just lost his parents in an accident so he NEEDED a distraction.

Julieta followed in her mother's footsteps as a robotics engineer and was creating a toy that could keep children company during troubling times. Antonio was the best person to have the toy first. Antonio was the happiest he's ever been since his parents died and everyone in the family was so happy for him.

but not everything was funs and giggles for tonito. He was bullied often for his "weird" behavior. His parents just died and he didn't want the family to have more things to worry about so he kept quiet. Mirab3l did not tolerate this and dealt with it herself.

There will be some quarrels with Mirab3l and the family but no matter how mad she made Julieta she shouldn't have turned her off.

I like it, both of them! Honestly either of them could work, I leaning more towards Anton!o, seeing that they would be similarly aged, and in the trailer, M3gan is around the same age as the other little girl. Anyway, still very cool⁉⁉

Twin sisters from Seattle, they went to Detroit due to their aunt's death. Her home was passed on to them and, in need of a fresh start, they moved there although the circumstances that brought them there were grim.

• Mirabelle was sexually assaulted (and almost killed afterwards) and despite her anguish, she kept her child- a son, Clayton, now 10 years old. She works as a (trauma) psychologist and secretly as an informant, occasionally passing information gathered by her network of a different assortment of people to the police as she feels necessary. She tries to keep this as private as possible (even from the police) for the safety of everyone involved, including her own and their family and friends. Sometimes officers of the DPD are referred to her, and she also treats androids.

• Maribelle currently studies a mix of sciences, having always been fascinated by space, and slowly garnered interest in androids, her interest peaking when she learned of some going "deviant". She got a job at the DPD in administration/front desk. Basically, she's the new office lackey. She takes care of paperwork that isn't case-related, runs errands, and puts up with Reed's bullshit to keep him off her back more or less (and lull him into a false sense of security). She somewhat participates in Mirabelle's network of intel but doesn't want to get involved too deep; if something were to happen to Mira, she promised to look after Clayton so long as it was safe enough.

• Mirabelle is the stronger of the two, gaining her strength after she accepted that she was a survivor of what happened and could have happened to her (she nearly had her throat slit). Despite this, she has an aversion to touch, only showing more affectionate gestures, such as hugging, to those she loves and trusts; i.e. she will hug family members but is more reluctant with friends, unless she feels they are close enough. She can still be sociable, happy to speak with others, and is friendly and calm. She is deeply loyal to those she loves and trusts. Because of her more secretive life, sometimes she is vague in her comments, and keeps a level head (though she is no stranger to the occasional impulsive decision). She can be stubborn when she wants to be, and sometimes a little jealous/envious, at times wishing she could let herself be closer to others when she observes friends and couples. There are times when she is paranoid, and she is afraid of the dark. She is a gentle person in general, in part due to her work.

• Maribelle is more of a meek soul, but low-key savage and manipulative. She has learned how to tolerate bullying as she has been victim to it enough times to grow thick skin. She is somewhat of a pushover, and looks to her sister for strength. Sometimes she even "hides" behind her sister when meeting strangers, feeling uncomfortable in social situations. She is usually very quiet, speaking when spoken to, although she openly speaks with loved/trusted ones. Because of this she doesn't really have any friends, although (after some time and plenty of interactions), she has bonded with an ST300 who chose to remain working at the front desk, who now goes by the name Tiffany. Mari is curious and thoughtful, letting her mind wander when she isn't focused on work. She is organized and diligent, even if she gives off the impression of being laid-back and lazy (but she is easy-going).
