There is a small setting in HTTrack website downloader that is set by default to download files from the server at 25kb per second (that's kilobytes not megabytes)

because this software was built in 2007.

it's been 7 hours to get 600mb and I just now thought "oh I wonder why the speeds are throttled?" Not that I have great internet to begin (900k down 75k up if the other members of the household aren't also online).

but for real: mirror > modify options > limits > max transfer rate set to something less tiny.

As for downloading pictures from fandom wikis go to https:// NAMEHERE .fandom.com/wiki/Special:MIMESearch/image/jpeg?limit=500 and open a new page for each 500 files (replace the URL above to png if there are lots of pngs)

you'll want the firefox extensions:

open multiple urls (copy and paste the source code of the pages)

tab image saver (saves each image then closes the tab)

and if your internet is naf like mine, tab reloader

As a heads up, it seems some of my posts here are getting hit with mature marks (for violence). Its possible if you have in your settings to never show mature posts, you won't be able to view crucial plot points on this blog. You can set it to blur mature posts instead in which case you then click the view post button iirc.

I'm aware of the recent crack down on art content and creators on tumblr (esp mobile), it's possible this is part of it or not. Either way, their description of violent content is so vague that I can't really submit an appeal (it literally just says violent content like you'd see in a movie) so it's likely posts will continue to get marked.

I always diligently tag content for my posts so users can tag block or navigate my content at their own pace and will continue to do so to the best of my ability ❤️

I don't go here but regarding james from silent hill 2; he is neither good nor evil......what he did was abhorrable for sure but I can't believe that people are missing the nuance of his situation..

Taking care of a terminally ill person is not taxing just for the person suffering from the disease it is literally back breaking for the caregiver as well. It is realistic for terminally ill patients to get violent or say mean things because they're obviously under a lot of duress, they're both in pain and they're trying to come to terms with their own mortality. It's precisely why a lot of people hire end-of-life help, it's a very very emotionally challenging period. James clearly loved his wife and without wanting to sound like I'm excusing straight up murder, you can still sympathize with him and surely understand why he did what he did.

Everyday I wish they explored the class/house system in Piltover further so we could see just how vast the differences in economic status and quality of life exists in the city. We know there is a house system at the very least, but to what extent does it effect things?
