Nah, on a more lighthearted note, Imposter Natalie and I have been SO busy x_x. All with good stuff, don't get me wrong, but I don't have a lot of time right now. Imposter Natalie has even made some edits I haven't gotten around to posting yet!

This blog isn't gone by any means, once life settles down a bit more we'll go back on schedule. Right now though, we appreciate all the support this blog has been getting and the continued asks :)

I know I haven't posted in well over a year, mostly due to stress from school (and exams) ans the additional loss of motivation. I'm sorry I never gave a notice on the blog sort of ending in such a short notice.

But, if any of you would like it, would you perhaps be open to seeing me do a full remaster of the blog and story? It's the only way I can really see myself working on this and in a way I could enjoy it too :]

Regarding the color choices of the Venatori and those that oppose them:

Not sure many people know this, but when you look at blood red for a long time, then look away, the afterimage "color" is a blue-green (a color theory/color history side note: this reaction is in part why in the Munsell color system, red is the opposite of blue-green and not green).

Venatori are black and red. Neve Gallus' colors are primarily white and teal as a one-to-one contrast to them. Same goes for Dorian. Red will always be part of Tevinter and Minrathous but the blue-green and teals are a deliberate choice for contrast.

In real life, staring at a single color for a long time can strain the eyes and that strain compounds when you look away and your eyes get to stare at something else. But, if you're surrounded by that color's afterimage "color", the eye strain ends up being less impactful. It helps you keep going. It's for this reason that surgeons and surgeries often use blue green, blues, and greens in the operating space. It helps reduce eye strain and makes it possible for operations to resume for longer with less fatigue (at least in regards to the eyes).

From the blood red rises the opposite, for those that want change. It's such a poetic color choice for Neve and Dorian.

♥ Not to get political or anything but I highkey HATE Shiver's guts. She acts all cool or whatever but she's a huge bitch. I hate how she's basically the face of the Splatlands (why HER?!), and her stupid smug little smile, and her tacky outfit, and how FAKE she is, and how her voice sounds, and the way her eyes sparkle and you get lost in their deep crimson hues because you keep thinking about how they kind of look like little rubies... Ugh, I get pisced off just THINKING about it!
