How To Use Jewellery To Match Your Personality And Your Outfit
Jewellery is one of the best things that almost every woman loves more than anything else. It is, in fact, essential to finish the outfit of a woman.
You can add colour and style to your outfit with the right jewellery. However, the wrong jewellery can spoil a beautiful look.
When dressing for an event, the perfect cocktail dress can look classy when paired with the wrong outfit. That's why learning how to use new stylish jewellery is so important. It's easy to know how to wear the right accessory.
Here's how to choose jewellery for any outfit. Remember some important things while buying jewellery for saris, lehengas, salwar kameez, kurtis, jeans, tops, skirts, tunics, trousers, shorts, or other outfits.
Accessorise according to Occasion:
A festival, wedding or cocktail party is the time to bring out the heavy jewellery. It gives you an excellent opportunity to choose from gorgeous, heavy, and fancy gold jewellery. From gold chokers with uncut diamonds to cocktail rings, chandelier earrings, and exquisitely cut gold bracelets, shop the finest jewellery for your Special Occasion.
A casual party with friends is the best time to experiment with your look. Try brand-new stylish jewellery and monster-size jewellery.
Small gold rings, earrings, folding bracelets, or gold and diamond bracelets are perfect for office parties and regular wear.
Jewellery according to your skin tone:
Choose the metal and stone of your new stylish jewellery wisely. It should reflect your personality and match your outfit and skin tone.
For example, silver generally brightens any skin tone. In contrast, gold goes well with dark hair and fair skin. Red, purple and blue gemstones blend beautifully with ivory tones. White gold is also a great alternative for people with ivory skin tones. Yellow, orange, green, and yellow metal jewellery goes well with bright skin tones.
Choose jewellery according to your style:
Shopping for jewellery will become a lot easier if you have a certain aesthetic of your style that you want to stick to.
Your style of clothing can help you to determine your style of jewellery. Are your clothes boring with black and leather? Or would you like to dress more elegantly, with simple lines and neat, sophisticated details? Or maybe you like a relaxed style with a bohemian touch, lots of jeans, and brightly coloured tops. Those with a sharp look can opt for layered necklaces, lots of metal, and chunky earrings. You can use classic or new stylish jewellery for a sophisticated look.
 Select the focal piece:
To create attention, it is better to choose a focal point. You can create an edgy and chic look by combining many bold items. And your jewellery can overwhelm your look instead of complementing it.
Think about the main types of jewellery, such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings. You must choose one or at most two categories with each outfit in which the jewellery is a statement element.
Concluding lines:
Mastering jewellery is something anyone can and should do. The new stylish jewellery can take your look to the next level, highlight your character and express your unique style. That's why it's a good idea to learn how to accessorize your clothes.
You can visit the website of Aashir for high quality trendiest designs at pocket-friendly prices. They have a wide range of collections from western and Indian to fusion wear. Moreover, the service and the promptness of their customer care are appreciable. Visit their website for a variety of designs that can help you to choose your piece of jewelry easily.

Devotional Art and Art Magic!
Happy Friday!
Visual art is such an underutilised tool, especially by beginner and younger practitioners. I understand that we all start off excited by spell bags and witch bottles and potions, but as a queer person, so many of us express ourselves through our art and expression can be as big a part of spells as the ingredients (for me expression and intention go hand in hand).
Art has been used both in devotion and in blessings. Displaying art of house blessings was a means to bless the home permanently (Judaism), icons of saints were used as a form of veneration and in prayer (Catholic), and there are several articles and books that dive into art as prayer (mostly Christian).
Sigils + Vision Boards:
Sigils are a visual representation of intent and desire in spellwork and can be incorporated into art through large paintings, sewing patches onto your coat, buttons and badges, painted onto stones, vases, embroidery etc.
Like sigils, a collage can be used as a visual representation of your desire or intent - they can also be an art form of their own and be made as a form of devotional art.
Fashion:
Fashion and style witchcraft are about coordinating your look into your goals and intentions. Whether this is through charmed jewellery, symbols, sigils, colour associations or flagging. Queer aesthetics is a huge thing for identifying ourselves and the community, and as a queer witch I love charming my carabiner, wearing queer jewellery, and playing with gender.
The aesthetics of the DIY movement and the aesthetics of queer culture are almost interchangeable. The appeal comes from the look and the fuck-the-man attitude itself, but also from the connection of having handmade, community-focused things by your side. (Queering Your Craft)
Masks:
Masks can be a great way of incorporating sympathetic and symbolic magic into a larger ritual. Masks can be used to represent archetypes of characters or energies.
In worship of Dionysus, the communicants’ attempt to impersonate the deity by donning goatskins and by imbibing wine and wear a disguise or white linen mask to enable the leaders of the ceremony to make the god manifest. (Britannica)
Masks have been sued in mystery plays, comedia dell’arte, opera, Noh, Dance of the Red Tiger Devil - for both sacred and entertainment productions.
Creating Queer Devotional Art
To protect/enchant the hearts and voices of activists - This spell is meant to protect our hearts and souls, but can be used to honour our queer cultural ancestors, friends, and adapted for honouring deities.
You need:
Art/collage/craft supplies - paint, markers, papers, canvas, glue, magazines, poetry, pens, embroidery, quilting squares etc.
An idea or image you want to create
A white candle
Inspiration:
Devotional art
Jewish Paper Cutting
NAMES project
Queer zines
Protest signs
Trans/Queer Protest Chants
To perform this spell:
Anoint, pray, bless, carve a sigil into etc. The candle and light it - candles often represent the soul so here we’ll let it burn until it naturally extinguishes if safe to do so (a mall candle may be better)
Start creating your image, add in aspects of queer resistance, joy, history, pain, the messages of your own activism. A symbols, symbolism, images of famous activists, sigils, poetry - whatever speaks to you.
If desired, pray, or bless or say an incantation as you finish the piece
Place this art somewhere visible in your house - this spell can also maybe used to make a good sign or banner at protests - optionally turn into a zine, carry around devotional art and art magic in a little notebook or specific sketchbook
This is a very low stakes type of protection. People have been making talismans and hanging up protective decor for centuries. From gargoyles to garlic wreaths to decorative home blessings. This is just a modern adaptation to this world-wide tradition, with a queer and activist focused twist xx

Anne Kelly
Batsford, London 2018, 128 pages, 22x28,3cm, ISBN 9781849944588

From samplers and quilts in Europe, to tribal and nomadic cloth further afield in Mongolia and China, folk and traditional designs have played a crucial part in the development of textile art and craft. In this book, Anne Kelly explores the traditional motifs used in textile folk art and shows you how contemporary textile artists use these in their work today. The beautifully illustrated guide is also packed with helpful step-by-step projects that demonstrate how to apply folk motifs to your own work.
Drawing inspiration from the Far East to Scandinavia, artists and designers have often used folk art to influence their work. Beginning with the chapter 'Samplers in Stitch', Anne looks into handmade momentoes and souvenirs created in the UK and USA. Samplers as statement pieces are also explored and are contextualised within the role of women and children recording their personal histories and lives. 'Nordic Notes' then looks at Scandinavian traditional textile art, and how modern screen printing and embroidery have been used by contemporary makers. 'Silk Road' looks at the influence of nomadic cultures and textiles, including yurts in Mongolia and Miao folklore in China. Projects on how to make felt, pouched and jewellery are also covered. Lastly, 'Trees of Life' looks the motif of the tree in a variety of cultures. Anne also looks at traditional techniques from South Asia and how to create your own 'Family Tree' using photo transfers and appliqué. Featuring step-by-step projects as well as work from contemporary artists and makers throughout, this practical and beautiful guide shows how practitioners of all kinds can draw from folk art for making and inspiration.

PLEASE READ ALL
Hey there Puparoonies! With December fast approaching and a new 101 Dalmatian Street trending party set up for Jan 2- Jan 3, I figured I should make some ART! I've made an all new drawing grid just for Drawcember and made it vague so people can reuse it for whatever fandom they want! (A shout out back to me so I can see your art would be great if you do btw!)
HOW ITS GONNA WORK- I have made a grid of aesthetics that will be the theme of the piece. Basically I'll draw a characters in an outfit that matches the aesthetic provided. They will get a hat, a bag and a piece of jewellery and I'll try to make it match their personality if I can! (For example, if Dylan got the Space Aesthetic I'd go more sciency. For Dawkins, more sci-fi show. For Dolly, cool aliens!)
HOW DO WE PICK THE CHARACTERS TO AN AESTHETIC?! - I'll be holding polls to decide now that Tumblr can do that. We have an A team and a B team. So we'll be voting on two Aesthetics at a time. I'll post the Aesthetic and a description so you know what to expect.
WHAT ARE THE AESTHETICS?!
Tumblr media
(Photos just grabbed off of google. All pictures here are not mine.)
Descriptions
(Please note that aesthetics can very from person to person on what they mean, and what they include! These are just my takes.)
Pastel- The pastel aesthetic is just as straightforward as its name, focusing on everything that's less saturated and in lighter hues. In particular, the word “pastel” refers to a soft and delicate shade of a color produced by adding more white.
Vaporwave- The Vaporwave aesthetic incorporates early Internet imagery, late 1990s web design, glitch art, and cyberpunk tropes, as well as anime, Greco-Roman statues, and 3D-rendered objects. VHS degradation is another common effect seen in vaporwave art.
Dark - Dark aesthetic covers a wide range of different things. If its dark and edgy , it can fall under this same system. Sometimes there's horror elements, but it can also be cutesy. All you really need is black, greys, and sparse uses of blood red and neon green. Some spikes can't hurt either!
Neon- The Neon aesthetic (Or Glowwave.) Is the use of bright, almost glowing colors on darker scenes. Reflective surfaces, sparkles and bright 'neon' pink can dominate this aesthetic.
Pastel Goth- Pastel Goth is an aesthetic that is a result of mixing goth or grunge with the sweet pastel elements of the kawaii aesthetic. Think if horror was cute, or cute was horrific if that's easier. Lots of black and pastel colours here.
Punk-Punk aesthetics determine the type of art punks enjoy, which typically has underground, iconoclastic, and satirical sensibilities. Punk can be as messy or minimalist as you want. It also tends to be more focused on the handmade, reused and recycled. Newspaper collages, safety pin, metal spikes, oh yeah!
Black and white- Contrast. That is the core of the Black and White aesthetic. Using only grayscale to convey detailed images. Tends to be fancy, simple and clean!
Rainbow- COLOUR, COLOUR, COLOUR! Rainbow is all colour all the time! With clear, fun shapes and fun splatters, rainbow is just... colourful fun.
Space- Spacecore is a type of aesthetic that is centered around astronomy, stars and planets. It can also be called astrocore or cosmic core. Spacecore uses lots of stars and planet type things in clothing or decor. Many spacecore aesthetics will have pictures of the sun, the moon or the stars.
Cottagecore- Cottagecore is an aesthetic that celebrates simple living, particularly in the countryside. It encourages a lifestyle rooted in traditional skills—like baking bread, gardening, and sewing your own clothes. Basically you live in a modern day Jeremiah Puddleduck book.
Pale- Palewave centers around muted and pale colors with a very relaxed and comfy vibe. Think light, easy, breezy and gentle designs. Nothing pops out right off the bat in this muted aesthetic.
Kidcore- Bright colours, cartoon designs, nostalgia, and fun! Its somewhat similar to rainbow, but you can't escape consumerism in this aesthetic usually! Toys, games, anything to do with just being a kid and enjoying life is included!
NOW WHAT?!
Now you vote in the polls! Just pick whichever character you want to see in the aesthetic listed. Please note that in order to draw this all in one month, I will be making the polls quick! The first one I'll have last a week, to help spread the word, but after that they will likely only last a day! That being said, each character will only be used ONCE. So once they're picked for an aesthetic, their off the voting board. Were you hoping a character would get a different one? Well don't worry! I may do this again, or you can try it yourself to! Just have fun!
Make sure to follow @bks-blogs for more 101 Dalmatian Street news and updates for the trending party!

Script and sound design for the animatic + Updated storyboard
Panel 1: Back in the 17th century, this building complex
Panel 2: was filled with the sounds of doctors and nurses bustling around, their shoes click-clacking as they rush to attend to patients,
Panel 3: accompanied by the smell of medicinal herbs, a strong scent of cinnamon floating through the air. On the other hand, there was idle chatter inside the rooms, echoing down the halls through the open doors. Drowned out by the sounds of wheels rolling on the hard stone floors... medicine boxes being open and shut as the drugs and herbal mixtures inside are handed over to the staff.
(Sounds : Footsteps, background noise)
(to the storyboard add silhouettes of doctors and nurses)
Panel 4: (sound interrupted by a bag rustling) Now, over 300 years later the heavy sounds of sighs and prayers carrying the weight of lives that have been lost and saved
Panel 5: have since been replaced by the joyful
Panel 6: rustling of shopping bags filled with the local handmade arts and crafts from LakShilpa, sparkling ornaments from Colombo Jewellery Stores and lets not forget all the exquisite Spa Ceylon beauty products.
Panel 7: (Sounds : include the audio I recorded) The sounds of cutlery against dishes instead of medical equipment against trays, happy children walking around with their parents instead of being bedridden as patients are the renewed sights and sounds of what is now called the Dutch Hospital shopping precinct.
Panel 8: Surrounded by the trees and streets of Colombo the scents of the old Dutch hospital
Panel 9: have since been replaced with the aroma of delicious cuisine from the Ceylon Curry Club or perhaps the
Panel 10: Ministry of Crab which are some of the restaurants that now reside within the decade old walls.
Panel 11: The spacious courtyard flooded in sunshine, the warm aura complimented by the huge green trees peeking from above the roof, guiding the rays of sunshine through the pillars into the long corridors...
Panel 12: where if you go walk to the other side
Panel 12: you will see, that at night,
Panel 13: the coloured lights come to life and you are transported into an entirely different atmosphere
Panel 14: (Audio I recorded of songs playing) it's the time for the nightlife in Colombo to come alive. The club music blaring, the crowds laughing as they sway to the beat,
Panel 15: the sounds of champagne glasses echo through the night
Panel 16: as people gather at the precinct's pubs and bars after a hard day of work.
From the panels I have, each four panels can be 1 min each. Will add more if needed.
Each panel - 15seconds
Update : It'll be more than one minute because the script turned out to be rather long.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Research
In order to describe the sights and sounds I had to reimagine for the first few panels of my storyboard which are set in the past, I had to research on what equipment and medicine they used back in the 17th century. They used a lot of spices, especially cinnamon which has been highlighted in the pdf. It was mentioned in this pdf that they did Ayurvedic treatments with the only modern-ish drug being opium which was imported.
They also used to store medicine in locked boxes/chests which only the head doctor had the keys to. He would unlock them and let the staff take what’s necessary and lock the box up again as there were very strict rules on the use of drugs.
Documentary style : Poetic documentary
Sound design :
Some audios I recorded at Dutch Hospital so I can add them in as ambience.
