Thoughts on HD-2D?

After TS and Octopath, I wonder if FE and Pokemon would look good in that style. I miss the charm of sprites in those Nintendo series.

I’m old so I always root for 2D instead of 3D, and I miss the 2D sprites from the GBA era (the snes ones weren’t colorised properly).

IDK a thing about VG design or what costs resources/material from what doesn’t - but I wouldn’t it be cheaper or take less time to make than to work from scratch to make full 3D models?

Also you can’t tell me Rhea’s Saint’s animation werent’ designed with GBAFE’s over the top critical animations in mind

So yeah, I’d root for a FE in HD-2D !

now that im finished with this gay fates update i figured i’d show off the other modding project i’ve been working on, which is a dwarf fortress mod to add a lot of stock fantasy creatures i was disappointed weren’t in the game (or any other mods)

This isn’t all of them, but the sprites im most happy with

cockatrice male and female (megabeast, the snake head on the tail injects a venom that paralyzes their foes)

centaur male and female (sentient and similar to animal people)

peryton

various different ent caste

mogalls (a la fire emblem, shadows of velentia’s design specifically)

quetzalcoatl

wurm (megabeast, based on the wurm design from dungeon meshi)

wyverns (come in 4 different colors!)

phoenix (megabeast, skin made of stone and blood made of magma)

griffon and hippogriff (hippogriff are common domestics)

one of my favourite pastimes is making a post on the MCC Reddit and somehow finding a way to include silverrruns, at first it was a joke but the progress has been insane because now people think it's normal to just include silverr in posts and I find it really funny seeing him mentioned alongside people like docm77 and people don't question it anymore. i have successfully performed silverr-exposer therapy on the redditors, it’s gotten to the point where he’s the communities 23rd most requested newcomer and has been mentioned in multiple wolfeei mogal mails. it’s even leaked into the blockwars reddit where he’s now the second most requested newcomer. if anyone wants to join me in doing this i would definitely recommend it, it’s surprisingly fun and it would be kind of funny
