I found season one to be fun once I stopped expecting it to be good. It was enough to get me to read the books.
Then season two happened, and they strayed so far from canon that I'm not even going to bother to watch season three. Sad fate for such a promising show.
Yup. The first season at least was promising. I mean, you could understand the deviations from canon and feel excited about what was to come, eager to see more. However, now the trust has been completely shattered, and they can boast all they want that this season is the most faithful, but who really believes them at this point?

I'm glad to share the old posts i can find! It will take a while to find them all, i've never been much of a tagger, and i'm a spaghetti code victim rn and can't search my blog. I'll be @ ing you while i reblog them!
Thank you! Anything you can find will be helpful. I'm most likely to see your posts if you tag me as @moiracolleenodell as well, since that's my main blog.

I'm collaborating with an artist on an illustrated novella, and I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of any not-too-expensive software for combining the images and text so I can ultimately turn it into an e-book? Thanks in advance!
First that comes to mind is Clip Studio to be honest. They have a great software that you can use for both e-books and webtoons, and they currently have a spring sale with 40% off for different platforms.
It's also a one-time payment for their main software, so you don't get stuck on a subscription (they do have one subscription model, but that's for their tablet platform.)
Here's about their different functions:
https://www.clipstudio.net/en/functions/
and here's their purchase site, which also explains about their subscriptions
https://www.clipstudio.net/en/purchase/
Don't be intimidated by their interface, they also have a Youtube channel, where different people offer all kinds of super helpful tutorials.
https://youtube.com/c/CLIPSTUDIOPAINTchannel
BUT! If you want a free option, there's also the other two I can think of:
Krita - I haven't tried it much myself, but I've heard people recommend it. Again, youtube probably has a bunch of tutorials.
MediBang Paint - I used this a lot after a computer crash lost me Photoshop. Needs more brush options, but it's otherwise pretty good
But yeah, those two are a good start too, if you feel you can't afford Clip Studio right now. Clip Studio has a sale every few months, and they have an enormous library of assets for free as well =)

How did your relationship with Loki begin, if that's not too personal? I started out with Odin, but my mental health took a turn for the worse and Loki popped up like, "I got this."
Loki paraded around as one of my characters for about four years before revealing to me he who he was. I figured he might’ve been a thoughtform, but didn’t really pry into it because I was too busy enjoying our relationship; we were friends who were very fond of each other and that was all that mattered.
But one day this character left my brain and came back as Loki. Realizing he was a god was profoundly distressing because it forced me to rethink my fundamental understanding of reality.
Things did level out though. That initial four-year rapport Loki deceptively established actually saved our entire relationship. Oddly enough, if not for that, I don’t know where I’d be right now.

I taught myself to knit, and I can even follow a complex cable chart.
Nice, good job!
Sperm whales sleep vertically, like a pillar, and do so in groups to add to the intensely creepy vibe.

How do you feel about Junji Ito? He's done some awesome Cosmic Horror manga that have been adapted to screen. I haven't seen the Tomie movies, but I loved Uzumaki. (And one great thing about Uzumaki is that it was made before the manga ended, so it doesn't spoil anything.)
Junji Ito's work was the first horror manga I ever encountered. I saw Holes The Enigma of Amigura Fault online one night and it fucked me up for DAYS. I've since sought out his other work and it gives me the same creeps that Stephen Gammell's drawings in Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark did when I was a kid. The kind that settle on your shoulders with cold little clawed feet and require a physical shudder to shake them off. The kind that make you wary of your fingers when you're turning the pages. The kind that make you hesitate to turn off that last lamp at night....
(If you haven't seen Junji Ito's work, you need to!)

moiracolleenodell replied to your post “I cannot stand this shit: Me: Strep throat is going around my office...”
Urgent care, if you possibly can!
My Dr’s office apparently has a “walk-in” clinic, which I was not told about until I’d already told the previously mentioned “them” that no, 3 weeks from now would not be okay.
Turns out I do, in fact, have strep throat. Freaking amazing.
The last time I went to urgent care, it was a nearly 2 hr wait for the Dr? PA? NP? Who knows because he didn’t introduce himself to walk in the room, already talking, completely ignore me while he clicked and type-typed on his laptop, not address a single one of my actual symptoms, listen to my heart and lungs, and then say, “Sounds like stomach flu. Have some fluids and get some rest. You can check out at the front.”
(I’m sure I need not say that it was not, in fact, a stomach flu)
After which I received an $80 bill.
That was only the most recent of my negative experiences with urgent care. Urgent care is never my go-to. Lmao.

For some reason I'm hearing Cotterpin Doozer say, "You know, I really like hexagons," and Architect Doozer saying "Oh, we'll have no hexagons around here young lady!" and Cotterpin replying, "Well... not YET."
Pfft omg rebellious math-art

I converted to Norse Heathenism (of the non nazi variety, may I specify) and have been in touch with Odin and Loki, much to my delight and ongoing education.
Congrats!
It is often quoted that an emu “cannot” walk backward; this is actually not true! They are perfectly capable of walking backward, they just choose not to.
