DERROTA MÉXICO A COLOMBIA EN DUELO AMISTOSO DE BASQUETBOL

Torreón, Coahuila., sábado 22 de Julio, 2023.-La Selección Mexicana de Baloncesto varonil que se prepara para participar en el próximo Campeonato Mundial de Básquetbol se impuso a su similar de Colombia con un marcador final de 76-60, en duelo amistoso llevado a cabo el día de hoy en el Auditorio de esta ciudad.

Los "12 Guerreros" dirigidos por Omar Quintero se pusieron arriba en el tanteador desde el primer cuarto con un marcador parcial de 25-10.

Al finalizar la primera parte del encuentro el quinteto tricolor ya se encontraba arriba en el tanteador con una pizarra final de 42-24.

El tercero y cuarto periodos fueron muy similares a los dos anteriores y también fueron dominados por el equipo tricolor, para finalmente agenciarse el triunfo con cartones finales de 76-60.

Los mejores anotadores por México fueron Moises Andreasi con 15 puntos, seguido por Fabian Jaimes con 13, y Paul Stoll con 12. 

Por el equipo Colombiano destacó a la ofensiva Jaime Echenique con 21 unidades.

El próximo juego de preparación del conjunto mexicano será también frente a Colombia el miércoles 26 de Julio a las 7:30 de la tarde en la duela Gimnasio Universitario de la UACJ, por tal motivo el lunes 24 de Julio a las 11:00 de la mañana se llevará a cabo una conferencia de prensa encabezada por el rector de la Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, Juan Ignacio Camargo Nassar, en la cual también estarán presentes los integrantes de ambos equipos.

Los dos últimos juegos de preparación de la Selección Mexicana de Basquetbol serán los días 28 y 31 de Julio contra Argentina en Puebla y la Ciudad de México, respectivamente.

El primer partido de México en la Copa del Mundo de baloncesto 2023 será el 25 de agosto contra Montenegro. El día 27 jugará contra Lituania, y el 29 contra Egipto. Es la sexta participación de México en un Mundial, aunque solo la segunda en los últimos 49 años
