ACEMAGIC S1: Mini PC with new integrated status display
Tumblr media
The ACEMAGIC S1 is equipped with a variety of one-of-a-kind features, such as a status monitor that allows users to quickly check their hardware metrics and an LED light strip that is situated at the front of the device. Both of these features can be found on the device’s front panel. The cost of the gadget does not exceed what would be considered acceptable.
Mini computers with integrated status displays start at $239 for the ACEMAGIC S1 model. The ACEMAGIC S1 comes with a number of unique features, including a status monitor that enables users to rapidly check their hardware metrics and an LED light strip that is located at the front of the device. The pricing is also reasonable.
ACEMAGIC S1 specifications
ACEMAGIC has not too long ago presented their brand new S1 small PC, which comes equipped with an integrated screen that is able to show a range of real-time statistics such as the temperature of the CPU and the load on the memory. ACEMAGIC has also recently announced their brand new S1 tiny PC. In addition to this, at least one of the side panels may be linked using magnets, which would make it much simpler to do maintenance and updates.
The ACEMAGIC S1 personal computer has its operations directed by an Intel Processor N95 at its core. This specific chip is a member of the Alder Lake-N series and has four separate processing cores. This processor has a maximum turbo clock speed of 3.4 GHz and does not support hyperthreading. In addition to that, it has Intel UHD integrated graphics that are equipped with 16 Execution Units. Because the central processing unit (CPU) can only utilise a single channel of memory, the motherboard that houses it includes complimentary components such as a single DDR4 SODIMM socket and two M.2 SSD slots.
Moving on to the connectivity choices, we get four USB-A connections (two of which are capable of 5 Gbps, while the other pair are confined to 480 Mbps), twin 1 GbE LAN connectors, a couple of HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Additionally, there is a 3.5 mm audio jack. The maximum data transmission rate for the USB-A connections is 5 gigabits per second. In addition, the kit has a wireless card that is capable of supporting both WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 simultaneously.
It has already begun to accept preorders for the ACEMAGIC S1, and it is expected that delivery will begin on October 1 of this year. The tiny PC will be available in two separate configurations: one will have a starting price of $239 and come equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of solid-state storage, while the other will cost $269 and have twice as much space available. Both of these configurations will be available for purchase. Both variants come pre-configured with Windows 11 Professional already installed on them.

What to Expect from the World’s First Color E-Ink Monitor
Tumblr media
The world’s first E Ink Monitor, with a 25.3-inch Kaleido 3 color E Ink display, was introduced this week by Chinese electronics maker Dasung. According to the reports, the 25.3-inch display can accommodate up to 3,200 x 1,800 pixels and 4,096 different colors.
It should be noted that although that seems good, the figure is probably based on Kaleido 3’s 300ppi rating. It has essentially the same resolution as the finest Amazon Kindle reader. While Apple’s Studio Display has a resolution of 5,120 x 2,880 and 218 pixels per inch, that PPI surpasses it.

What's your favorite animated or real life lgbtq couples?
Bubbline will always be peak queer rep for me
Tumblr media
If I could be controversial for a second, I actually find most queer characters/rep in cartoons range from bad to inoffensive and boring. I feel like creators either don’t want their lgbt characters to be seen as disrespectful to queer people so they make them as overly nice and flawless as possible, or you have creators who project SO hard onto their gay character that they could kill a billion people and the narrative would find a way to justify it because they’re sad and gay.
I love Bubblegum and Marceline being flawed, complicated girls who need to understand each other more before really getting close to each other. I love the genuine chemistry they have, like holy shit when you see a lot of mid tier f/f couples you forget how good it feels to see two women with a great and believable romance. I also really love that their lives aren’t centered around each other. Marceline and Bubblegum have their own goals and motivations, it’s just that their relationship is also a part of that. Usually I’m not a fan of last minute kisses but I think it worked perfectly for Bubbline, it was basically a payoff to an incredibly long, incredibly endearing slow burn.

THAT WOUND. THAT VILE WOUND. it throbs in time with your speeding heart, and the ache it carries through your veins is oppressive, its hot, it tangles around your jaw and through your spine and behind your eyes. there are needles, sprouting from the lacerations like the most heinous ivy, and it strangles your lungs, rips tears from your eyes, lures bile to your throat. it hurts. oh god it hurts. you cant think, you cant breathe, you cant swallow, you cant see. you cant see. you cant see. you cannot see but you know when your eyes are closed, because there are colors stained upon the backs of your eyelids. they form images of loved ones, of viscera, of bile and blood and blackened mud. its jarring, they make anxiety spike outwards, frantic ferro fluid, frightened from faces too scared, too pained, too dead, too piercing with eyes staring straight at you, straight at you. actually, you cant tell when your eyes are open.

DisplayFusion Expert Multi-Monitor Control
Tumblr media
DisplayFusion by Binary Fortress Software is the program for you if you have many displays or just one ultra wide monitor and you want greater control over your MSI monitors! View customer testimonials for DisplayFusion.
With all of the capabilities that DisplayFusion offers, you can maximize the use of your monitor arrangement and increase your productivity like never before.
Principal Features of DisplayFusion
There are several helpful features in DisplayFusion that will make your life simpler. To get you started, check out some of the best features below!
Monitor division
Do you have an NVIDIA Surround/AMD Eyefinity setup or a wonderful ultra-wide monitor like MSI’s Optix MEG 342C QD-OLED? You may divide your screens into many “virtual” monitors, each with its own Taskbar, Wallpaper, and Screen Saver. This is known as monitor splitting. This eliminates the need to turn off the Surround/Eyefinity group in order to use multi-monitor windowing on a single monitor or on a group of monitors.
Your many monitors are completely supported by DisplayFusion’s Multi-Monitor Wallpaper function, which frees you from the limitations of the built-in Windows wallpaper manager. Span one picture over some displays while using different images on others, load and adjust several images on each monitor, or use a single image across all monitors. To keep your desktop appearing new every day, DisplayFusion can load wallpapers from over 25 different internet wallpaper suppliers.
You may change each monitor’s resolution, refresh rate, orientation, and location using DisplayFusion’s Monitor Configuration function. Even better, you can store your preferences as Monitor Profiles that you can later load by pressing a certain key combination or the TitleBar Button. To have your desktop wallpaper automatically load depending on the connected displays, link a wallpaper profile to your monitor profile. For broadcasters and gamers who constantly swap between display arrangements, this functionality is fantastic!
Window Features
Over 30 pre-configured Functions are included with DisplayFusion, but you can also build your own robust custom Functions. Create functions to switch between DisplayFusion features, move windows around, modify window opacity, load wallpaper or monitor profiles, and more. Want more choices? Use the Scripted Functions in DisplayFusion to script whatever you can think of. To write your own unique scripts inside of DisplayFusion, use C# or VB.net. anything from basic window movement scripts to more complicated ones.
Triggers
You may listen for events like window creation, window focus, desktop unlock, system idle, and more using DisplayFusion’s Triggers feature. Then, you may alter that window or do whatever else you can think of by running pre-programmed functions or custom scripts.
Taskbars for several monitors
Add a taskbar to each of your displays to keep your windows simply organized. Each monitor’s taskbar may be set up to display all windows or only those on that particular monitor. The whole system tray is included in the DisplayFusion taskbar, unlike the default taskbars for multi-monitor Windows systems. Compared to the Windows multi-monitor taskbar, it also gives you more customization options for the taskbar. To make working with your program windows easier, use button grouping, auto-hide, window previews, personalized shortcuts (pinned apps), and more.
For those who want an orderly desktop, the Window Position Profiles feature is a fantastic option. You may arrange your desktop windows as you wish, store the configuration as a Window Position Profile, and then load it whenever you use those windows. Use a key combination, the TitleBar Button, or the DisplayFusion system tray menu to quickly load a window position profile. Even better, you may link a window position profile to a monitor profile so that when the layout of your monitor changes, DisplayFusion will reorganize your desktop windows according to a predetermined configuration.

Continued here because I don’t want to clog up someone else’s post too much, but basically, what I was trying to say in my reply to this post is that I think we have this mistaken idea that “good stories” are something that exist in a vacuum and can be divorced from character and setting while still keeping the good parts. As if the “perfect plot” is something that exists completely devoid of context. But I just don’t think that’s true.
Truly great stories, fanfic or not, aren’t cut-and-paste. They wouldn’t work with any other characters or any other setting. The characters and setting are integral parts of what make the story good.
And authors, yes even fanfic authors, who are good at their craft know this. So only the mediocre ones go that route. The greats wouldn’t dream of trying to take their fanfic masterpieces and cut a bunch of holes in them and try to repackage them as marketable because that would destroy them.
So the shittiness of fanfics made into books is not because only fans of pairings you don’t like choose the fanfic->book pipeline, or because only het romance with tropes you happen to not like get adapted. As I mentioned in the reply, there are slash authors who write different tropes who have gone this route, too. It’s because re-writing a book without its characters and setting (if they were even there to begin with) creates a shitty product.
So, if you’re hoping your favorite slash author will take time away from their demanding job to turn their lovingly crafted hobby magnum opus into a generic mass market paperback, it isn’t going to happen. Not because the good fanfic authors are “too normal” to think about publishing their works, (not a fan of the implications of that statement, in this house we love and support freaks). But because the paltry amount of money they might (most fanfic adaptations are not wildly successful) make from bastardizing their baby is not even remotely worth it.
They would rather stay true to their original vision, even if it makes them $0. And I think we ought to have more respect for that.
