In the Heart of Bali: Monkey Business in the Forest
I arrived at the Monkey Forest in Ubud after a lot of talk about how it was an essential to visit. I had been travelling with family and we all had agreed to meet at 4:30 outside the entrance so we could explore together. A group of us had spent the morning exploring Ubud by Quadbike as well as a coffee tasting session on a plantation that morning. But still full of energy we were keen to get out…
Youtube recommended me this channel a while back and today I came across this video that really just proves a lot of things about monkeys (not apes, monkeys). Yes, monkeys can be harsh in some ways, but oh my goodness do some of them have such a sweet nature. This example being adult vervet monkeys coming to the "rescue" of screaming baby monkeys even if they do not know the babies and have never met them.
I really did not expect that at all. I thought they would be like other animals where they do not take in babies from outside their own group, but I guess it does make sense in a way. Monkeys are social animals that like larger group sizes.
I highly recommend giving this a watch for any animal lovers out there or even just Monkey King fans (haha, I see you). You might get some inspiration from a behavioral standpoint when it comes to the many depictions of Sun Wukong in modern media such as Nezha Reborn, Monkey King: Hero is Back, Uproar in Heaven, Lotus Lantern, Monkey King Reborn, Monkey King(2014), Netflix Monkey King 2023, and Lego Monkie Kid.
These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head where Monkey King really does act exactly like a monkey at times. Even though Sun Wukong is not supposed to be just a Monkey, these movies/shows depict his monkey traits very well whether it be how he interacts with others/socializes, or his mannerisms in general. Seeing how vervet monkeys behave reminded me of this fact with how playful and protective Monkey King often gets when children are in the picture or it's someone who is far younger than him, it's really nice to see.

End note: After watching this, I got really interested in how prehensile tails work and how tails only for balancing work. I'm also curious to know how macaques/baboons stay balanced when they only have stubs or short tails. I might just make a whole post about nothing but monkey tails sometime this week.
So me and my friend played Sky again because of your au, and I can’t stop laughing because at some point my friend told me to follow them and I accidentally forgot to jump and then I watched as they proceeded to fly into every wall possible and then get stuck out of bounds.
And ever since then I can’t stop thinking about how it fits Ace and Luffy in your sky au
Pierre the olive babboon is an inquisitive and intelligent fellow who loves eating fresh grass and flowers. Originally from a zoo in Quebec, when it closed he found a home at Storybook Farm Sanctuary in Ontario. As such, Pierre now understands French and English. He is of strong mind and body and acts as a mentor to Darwin the macaque, the famous IKEA monkey who has since been freed of his little winter parka to learn the ways of primate life.
god can people please stop taking pictures with wildlife please for the love of god just fucking stop taking pictures with wild animals i am going to scream
all those people (with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions) with "rescues" in the US on tiktok are fucking awful people and they're directly contributing to the exotic pet trade
December 11, 2012 was the day Darwin the Japanese macaque was found roaming outside an IKEA in North York, Toronto. He was rescued by Storybook Farm Sanctuary and lives there to this day enjoying the good life with many monkey friends.
You tweet how you want people to die, because they're being "annoying nerds" by disagreeing about a movie, and are suprised people seeing it are uncomfortable?
For if you are burnt out or don't know what to make! ♡
1) Monkey World! ♡
Create a zoo full with only primates! I got this idea from the Mokey world ape rescue centre in Dorset I use to visit all the time as a kid! It's also incredibly fun to make enclosures for these animals in game!
2) Reptile House! ♡
Create a massive building full of reptiles! This is a fun challenge because it makes you improve on creating buildings as well as utilising exhibits! I also LOVE making habitats for the monitors! You could also add amphibians and insects because in most reptile houses they usually also have them!
3) New Zoo! ♡
Create a zoo in a biome you have never or don't use often and fill it with animals you have never made habitats for! This is a good idea for me personally because half of my zoos are African and I really need to branch out! I make too many enclosures for lions and meerkats! Here are some animals I have never seen someone use in planet zoo!
4) Where are you from? ♡
Make a zoo based on where you are from! Select your country and biome and fill it up with animals that live there! (If you are from the uk like me I suggest just making a European zoo because there isn't many native British animals in game.)
5) Big Cat Sanctuary! ♡
Create a sanctuary or a rescue centre for cats! There are quite a few in the game right now from all around the world! This will help becoming better at mixing themes in one zoo!
