im sorry if this is a silly or stupid question but is there a nursery or something at the university? because it seems like with all the sex everyone seems to be having, the university would provide some sort of childcare so everyone doesn't drop out

Not silly at all!! It's a valid question <3

Actually there's no nursery or childcare equivalent on campus itself, but there's a children's care facility just down the street from MC! So monsters who already have children going into enrollment or who get pregnant while they're attending can bring their babies and children to the daycare and have them cared for while they're at school. It also works for those who live in dorms and can't have their children living there, because the facility has an expansive caring program that takes in those children long-term and allows the parents to visit while still taking care of their degree, since it also works partly as an orphanage that helps take children off the street.

So fear not! You can have babies galore at MC with minimal worry about their upbringing--and if you do need or want to give them up for adoption at birth, the facility will gladly take in your baby to give them to any number of monster families looking for a new addition <3

Design notes:

Man I've been postponing this for so long, I don't even remember half of what my process with this one was like. But I concluded that if I don't post this now, the loss of my mental notes will only get worse with time, so here you go, putting this out there once and for all lol

For a general picture I wanted Malleus' vibes to be more fairy tale-like. (He ended up reminding me a bit of Faybelle too, in a way.) The colors of those iridescent black feathers go well with him, I think. And did someone mention Howl's moving castle? Yeah, Howl's monster form.

I got this one ask before, reccomending the Cockatrice monster for Malleus, and searching a bit about it, is apparently also often taken as a synonymous with the basilisk? So like, Wyvern meets Basilisk, but it is also giving fae, idk. Listen, the idea inside my head is like, if you're asked to imagine a mythical creature that roams around a dark forest, outside the castle of a cursed princess, it's him. He's the creature.

And I'll admit I have not been catching up with the Diasomnia's chapter :( so give me 50 years at least so I can make up some more in-depth lore for his MH au counterpart (or maybe I'll just read a resume out of the wiki). Malleus enjoyers are free to drop headcanons onto him, you guys' knowledge of his character are always so astronomical it never fails to impress me /gen

EAH Dorm Rooms Headcanon 4

Blondie & C.A. Cupid

It's time for our two radio heads! One will dish out juicy gossip while the other gives you advice from the heart.

The only time we got to see their dorm was in 'Blondie Brances Out' and 'Cupid Comes Clean'. From what was seen Cupid and Blondie have one of the smaller dorms of the students living on campus. Their room is so small that the girls use wardrobes instead of a closets and the walls seem closer together. So, I'll do my best with this one.

So the layout of the the dorm is: hallway entrance, room divider, mirror, vanity desk, wardrobe, nightstand, and bed. We don't get to see the rest of the room, but my theory is that it's a wall the girls do whatever they want with it, the wall where the balcony is where the girls' desk for homework is at. Yeah, that's all I got.

Blondie's side: Blondie's got a cottagecore & lolita style going on with a pinch of royalty.

Blondie's furniture features bears, utensils, and keyholes that reflects her story. I like how Blondie stands out in her room, since she's covered in yellow (her dress and hair) while her room is a deep blue and gold.

We Blondie wants to be seen as royalty by her friends and peers so her room seems rather regal than the lolita style she wears and it would've been nice to see her with items that reflect her love of journalism. But we didn't see the whole dorm so she may have some items like: a typewriter (every good reporter has a typewriter), and some cameras, and a collection of microphones.

Blondie's side of the dorm has the fireplace, but we don't see much of it. In 'Epic Winter' Blondie has a chaise, which I believe she has in her dorm on the other side for when she takes a break from school work and reporting.

This is where the layout of the room gets a little weird. When, Cupid goes to get Blondie ready for class, we she Blondie's vanity dresser, when Blondie explains her family tree we she her wardrobe, nightstand, then bed. Seeing how small their dorm room is they probably squished as much furniture into the room as they can.

Apperently, Blondie (and Cedar) were supposed to have jewelry boxes like Apple and Raven but were never made. It's just so frilly and covered with bears, just right for Blondie.

C.A. Cupid's side: The only time we got to see a speck of Cupid's room was during 'Cupid Comes Clean'. I think Cupid's room would have a lot of Greek and heart designs too it, being the adoptive daughter of Eros (the god of love) it makes sense for her room to be covered in lovecore.

Besides the lovecore and ancient Greek aesthetic, I think it would be cool if Cupid brought some items from Monster High (and the other places she's traveled). Like she has posters and CDs of Catty Noir and Casta Fierce and DVDs of Elissabat movies which she let's her friends watch and listen to. But whenever fairy tale teens try to look them up they can't find them except for lore/creepypasta sites, Maddie's the only one (and maybe Kitty) are the only ones to find info on the monster stars. Until, EAH and MH find out the other world exist.

I would also like if Cupid mixed in some skeletal decor in her room since she's a bone elemental. Can you imagine the first day the two met and Blondie walks in and let's out a blood-curdling scream because she sees a couple of faux skulls and skeletal furniture in the room and Cupid is like "What?". Hilarious! Over time Blondie just accepts it as one of Cupid's quirks.

Also, feathers and arrows (I can't believe I almost forgot to mention that)! In her locker she has two bow and arrows sets I bet on her free wall she has a collections of bows and arrows on the wall like a chef has a knife collection. She has to keep reminding Blondie not to touch it just because it's out in the open.

The girls have a balcony that Cupid uses most of the time to grow her flowers, mainly mood roses.

Cupid's mirror was shown when she mirror traveled from Monster High/ Mount Olympus to Ever After High, but in the show there's a different mirror. I'm gonna let this pass an animation error.

When the website was still up players would customize the dorms with furniture after characters' information was released. In the first image I think the lamp would be Cupid's, the second image the first wallpaper and flooring are Cupid's. I know used the candles already but I can see Cupid owning them.

In 'Heart Struck' we found out Cupid uses an inhaler for her pollen allergies, it would make sense if she had backups in her dorm room.

Like Blondie (and Ginger) Cupid has her own show at school. IThe school allows students with shows to do them in vacant rooms of the school. Like I said with Blondie it would be cool to have some of the equipment in her dorm room like the glowing heart background lights.

Cupid has a black wrought iron bed in the shape of hearts, pink drapes behind the bed, I have no idea what that pink transparent thing is (seriously, what the heck is it?).

Since we never saw much of her room here are my thoughts: Cupid is one of the few students that doesn't have a canopy bed, most likely has a lot of romance novels/ love advice books, and her room is a mixture of MH, EAH, lovecore, and Greek mythology.

Legendborn

I put this book off for so long because a) I heard the next book in the series only comes out in 2025 and I didn't want to be left hanging, and b) I wasn't the biggest fan when I heard there was a (sigh) love triangle in there. And yet here I am, having finished it at long last.

Confession: I was/am in the middle of something like a reading slump. February has not been kind to me with my reads. When the Ann Liang book I was anticipating for months let me down horrifically, ALL the books that followed either fell flat too or were just… middling. I went through book after book feeling empty, and then I told myself: you know what. Legendborn has been on EVERYONE and their mother's radar, and their responses are the same—near unanimous acclaim. It's honestly quite insane.

So I took a gamble. I got the book and started reading it. 

You can TELL. You can just TELL when a book hits right for you, unlike the ones I read before it. I was hooked. Engaged. Totally captivated. I'd read and DNFed another fantasy book just weeks ago, which also utilised King Arthur lore (titled Silver in the Bone), but somehow Legendborn succeeded where that story failed (for me). Maybe I'm just a basic bitch who's a sucker for the typical storyline of a normal girl finding herself entangled with a group of monster slayers and doing tournaments to become one of them. (Is this why… I was instantly enthralled with the Infernal Devices??? Or why I love Demon Slayer—the anime—so much????? I am finding out new things about myself.)

But sure… the beginning isn't anything too different from traditional YA structures. But as you get going, and you continue down the road, you start to see new grounds being tread, and it deviates from anything I've personally read as a teen.

As usual, even though I loved this book, I'm going to do what I almost always do and explore the dichotomy of what I liked and didn't.

Spoilers abound. 

Didn't like:

It was predictable… up to a point (and then I was GOBSMACKED but we'll get to that later). Like, I knew pretty quickly which characters were going to make it to Squires and which weren't. You could just tell from how the author treated certain Pages (the folks trying to be Squires) in a more favourable light. The nice ones win, the not-nice ones don't. I'd have liked more nuance in their characterisation, TBH.

Speaking of which, however, Bree's characterisation at the start was rough. Like, she'd do stupid shit and get in trouble and continue being irresponsible. I wasn't surprised Alice was mad at her, and I don't think that the trouble she faced stemmed solely from her race but rather her irresponsible behaviour (going off-campus when she already knows that's grounds for expulsion and she STILL gets mad when the dean, who decides to let her off, is churlish with her. Seriously?). That said, I am NOT Black, and I can't speak for the quotidian prejudices they face, so take my perception of it with a grain of salt. In any case, Bree changed and this was no longer an issue for me later on.

Nick. And his whole romance with Bree. Like, I really did NOT care. And Nick was pretty much a white boy-damsel in distress the entire story. Every time screen time was devoted to their romance, my eyes would glaze over and I'd start skimming all the kissing and stuff. 

There were a lot of characters. Like, a lot. Too many. My brain was scrambling trying to remember and place everyone in their different roles. And aside from a few (bless William), they didn't have very distinct voices. Greer had, like, ZERO distinctive voice other than being non-binary, which should not be the only thing to define a character. Whitty was… nice, is all? Everyone kinda just melded in my brain, which is probably why none of the character deaths really hit me. 

I'm not a huge fan of Chosen One tropes. But this does play on the trope in a VERY interesting way. 

WHAT I LIKED (!!!!!!!!!!!):

The whole concept of Root and Bloodcraft. I LOVED how the author used magic to convey the colonisation of white men. The idea that Legendborns forcefully TAKE their power, while non-Bloodcraft users only borrow their power, speaks volumes to me. It was such a good way to portray real life.

Also??? The ending twist about Bree????? All along, I was convinced she was secretly the Scion of Lancelot, but I wasn't sure HOW, because all the knights are obviously white. And then the author pulls a fast one on me and she's actually fucking Arthur. The reasoning is so good. I loved how the White Man's own cruelty and their disgusting ownership of Black people led them to this predicament. I think THIS was the part that truly sold me on how terrific and unique this book was.

Characters-wise… William. Like, I adore the fuck out of him. In another world, in an even less conventional book, William would have been the hero for me. He's exactly my type with how calm and confident he was without needing to be overbearing about it. In fact, he was so gentle. (Makes me think of Jem Carstairs, but obviously Jem is THE published blueprint for types like this.)

Sel. Yes, I know I just talked about how I didn't like overbearing characters, and I initially went into this book expecting to hate him, but… :) I thought he was quite justified in his hatred / distrust towards Bree at first, knowing what he knew about how the mesmer and Oaths didn't take. I'll see if my opinion of him changes in the sequel. 

I  really, really liked how for once, King Arthur wasn't depicted as just some hero. He actually seemed almost villainous in this book, especially in the moments when Bree was possessed by him. What happened to her supposedly getting wisdom when she Awakened, though? This man does not sound wise at all. I am intrigued.

I am so glad I read this book. SO GLAD. I was down in the dumps for a bit and finally reading a good fantasy made me feel a thousand times better. I'm a bit nervous reading the sequel because some things often don't live up to their predecessor, so I shall see.

Grim 3

Summary: What did you think when you saw the stars for the first time, Grim?

(Lore tiiiiiime for Eldritch Prefect.)

You’ve been wandering outside the dorm more lately. When night falls and the moon is one big round ball in the sky, Grim would wake up to the front door closing downstairs. The first few times, he didn’t bother getting up. It wasn’t his problem where you go and what you’re up to, and the bed was too comfy for him to ignore.

But the wind was cold and carried with it many sounds he didn’t want to hear. It wasn’t the ghosts, they’d laugh at him no matter how many times he’d yell at them to stop. They say there’s nothing here but he knows they’re liars.

When you got up again and heard you opening your closet, Grim grunted and kicked the blanket off of him.

You didn’t say anything and neither did he when he floated over and rubbed his eyes. You simply got a smaller sweater and put it over his head. The both of you went out without a sound.

He’s not a coward. It’s only natural to keep an eye on you when you’re doing mysterious things again. Besides, you could be eating a feast without him. And if that’s true, he will set the whole dorm on fire!

But you didn’t go anywhere close to campus. Instead, you did a sharp turn and walked towards the forest. All the trees were close together, covered in leaved unlike the tree back at the dorm. Grim can’t see any light. The closer he got, the more suffocating it seemed. Like a monster was hiding in there.

“Can you close your eyes for a moment, Grim?” He jumped and dropped his sweater. He scrambled to pick it up.

When you laughed, he got angry, fur bristling. “Huh?! Why should I? So you can ditch me and sneak all the food for yourself?!”

“Food?” You turned to him, hands dusting off his sweater before adjusting it back properly over his ears. “I’m not getting anything food related. Well, unless you count a beautiful sight to be food for the eyes. Then yes, I am getting a feast.”

That’s it? You’re just going sight-seeing? Then why did he bother getting up in the first place then?! Ah, but it’s too late to go to bed. Grim’s too awake and he knows he’s not going to get any sleep like this.

Grim crossed his arms and shut his eyes tightly. “Well if you’re not eating something delicious, then fine! Like this?”

You patted his head. “Perfect. Hold still.”

There was a prickle in the air. A release, as though pressure in a pipe was finally allowed to flow out. An easy sigh, a relaxed hand. Hand. Many, many hands cradled Grim, never clinging, gently holding. He tensed. How could he not?

But he didn’t run, not even with the winds screamed about the ravine he below him.

Then all went silent.

There was pop in his ears. And the ocean’s waves greeted him.

Grim opened his eyes, but you were not watching him. You looking above. Far, far above, as though searching for something that simply wasn’t there. The sky was perfectly clear, dotted with millions of stars.

“H-how did we get to—”

“Dreams are paintings upon a black canvas. The shadows that cradle them are my walkway.” You didn’t even let him finish! What is it with you and riddles? “What did you think when you saw the stars for the first time, Grim?” And you have the gaul to ask him anything when you didn’t answer his question.

“You’re so rude,” But Grim knows when you don’t want to answer. He’s not dumb. And so Grim joins you in looking up. “Hmm…When I first saw the stars, I thought ‘What do they taste like?’”

You coughed into your hand, clearly trying to stuff a laugh down. Grim growled but that’s all he did.

“Of course you did.” You went and sat on a nearby rock, leaning against it. “As for me, I thought ‘When will they stop looking at me? When will they go away?’”

But an empty sky would be boring, wouldn’t it? But he won’t say anything. Your head is stuck somewhere else, remembering something.

“Hey Grim?” You called just as Grim laid on his back. “Did you know the sailors here use the stars to find their way in the ocean?”

“Really? There’s a lot of stars though.” Grim snuggled his coat.

“I didn’t understand it either. But looking at it right now, I figured out why.”

“How?”

“The stars here aren’t alive. They only move one way, with no goal, no hunger. Predictable. It’s a quiet sky. I love it.”

HAHAHA. probably not. i used to say "pregnancy" but i have written 1 mpreg fic and have another angsty trans neil fic that deals with that so who knows... i feel like you must feel the same, like there is just ALWAYS a way to put a spin on something to make it fit my style!!

id say i have 7 wips that are receiving regular attention from me rn? some more neglected than others. one im kind of excited about is this weirdo college newspaper au that i want to do -- the idea is that it would be kind of episodic in nature, like monster-of-the-week except with campus news lol. i havent done anything real with it but i doodle abt it and have a lore doc

5. Share one of your strengths.

i like to think im p concise! in fiction, lol, not in tumblr ask responses... but yeah, i like to practice how to say the most with the least amount of words -- it's an interesting balance, bc if you cut it down too much it verges on flat. its a fun challenge

Kirk is very much that way--giving you a hard time is generally how he shows he cares about you. He's only truly mean to those he doesn't care about, and trust that there is a difference even when you get frustrated over his attitude in the beginning. He didn't grow up with a lot of love in his household so it's really not his area of expertise, he never really learned how to show it and only started experiencing affection when he joined the pack and made friends with all the other werewolves. Being snuggled, having his hair stroked instead of pulled, listening to his friends talk about him being handsome and smart even if he's got a shitty attitude.....it's weird to him. He doesn't hate it deep down, but he hates how it makes him feel vulnerable when he doesn't want to be.

'Vulnerable' is barely even in his vocabulary, which is why he comes at you with so much heat at first. He'd been hoping and praying that you two could boink, have a good time, and then you would pretend like it never happened so he wouldn't have to face any of those feelings he has when he looks at you. But when you don't, and when you're just so sweet, Kirk can't handle it and has to revert to what he knows: being a dick. Not nearly to the extent of how he is with other people, but just enough to keep you at arm's length in his constant fear that you're gonna end up making him feel like he isn't totally worthless. Because what would he do then? He's accepted the role of being an irredeemable, raging douchebag for pretty much all his life. He's got an attitude, his temper is awful, he doesn't consider himself that good-looking, he's got some of the worst grades out of the whole pack, he fixates on things and lets them consume all his thoughts, and he hasn't even got any palate to boot and will eat just about anything, even if it's on the verge of spoiling. He's total garbage and he's friends with a pack of people that couldn't be more perfect; Julian is incredibly charming, Portia's practically a genius, Nick is insanely handsome, Elliott is so gentle and really funny, Priam is a total sweetheart and Athos is the pinnacle of cool in his eyes. How could he even think of measuring up to all that, much less stick out among the rest and prove he's worth even a little bit of your love?

That may be the most frustrating part about Kirk--he can be the prickliest guy you know and he would die before he ever says those things out loud, but he seriously admires his friends and you yet he has little to no belief in himself. Granted, growing up he would've gotten his ass beat for showing that kind of weakness, so it's still deeply ingrained in him as an adult--especially since the pack are pretty much the first friends he's ever made on his own. And at his core, he's jealous. Jealous of them and their nice families, jealous of how well they all turned out despite going through their own struggles, jealous of how easy it is for them to be open when he's terrified of people finding out he's bi, jealous of you for being so brave and so beautiful in equal measure....so that's why the best thing he can do--in his own opinion of course--is to be your collective guard dog.

After all, Kirk isn't afraid to bite. His instincts are hard to control in his human form, could you even imagine how feral he can get when he's full wolf, or even just close to the full moon? If anything it's what he's good at; hunting, beating ass, and taking a punch. If he can't be as good as you and the others deserve, the least he can do is make sure that sweetness and the goodness of your souls isn't ever dominated by someone else. He'll spill blood, he doesn't care. He would even get suspended if it came to that, expelled, arrested, whatever it takes and he'll let the chips fall where they may. You'll know his love for you is real when he starts acting protective over you, not only when other people try to bother you but as far as your daily needs as well. Have you eaten properly? Are you thirsty? Do you need to sleep? When's the last time you stretched? He acts like it's a favour he's doing for you, like you're a little wolf that needs caring after, but in truth it settles his own self-doubts and makes him happier knowing that he's doing something for you--that he's taking care of you like a mate would, and when you smile at him or thank him for his help he just melts. He would do anything to keep hold of that smile.

.....Which is why he's got a plan in his head for after graduation. He and Nick are the oldest and thus are going to graduate first of all of you, so once that's over and done with he's got plans to start building a place for you all to properly call 'home'. It's nothing crazy--just a cabin in the woods--but if there's one thing he can confidently say he's good at it's woodworking, and he's sketched out the designs to make it everything you could ever want.

Personal rooms for you, him, and Portia who has trouble falling asleep when it's noisy. A big living room with enough sofas to fit you all. Polished oak walls like Julian grew up with and always wanted to see again. A bathtub big enough to fit Nicky's giant, muscly legs without spilling over. Tables and chairs to fit everyone and more, to fit all the family gatherings and maybe even the pups you might have one day. A garden out back where he'll plant those ugly little flowers Elliott loves. Trees and greenery around where they can run and hunt and play during the full moon, totally obscured by the rest of the world. A big fucking chandelier in the dining room to intimidate any friends you bring over that think they're hot enough shit to snatch you. It's gonna be perfect, it's gonna be the one thing he can say he's proud of in practically his whole life. It'll be a gift to all of you for putting up with his assholery for so damn long, for sticking with him even when he couldn't find a single reason why you should.

That's the kind of love Kirk shows. Words don't mean much to him--actions and acts of service are how he expresses his affections, because it's much simpler for him to put work into something he can touch and measure and paint rather than throw some flimsy words around and call it love. Plus, one of the reasons why he lives in his own dorm is because his downtime is incredibly important to him. Usually he would request a private one-bedroom apartment, but this year he was assigned roommates that he very quickly drove away with his annoying habits almost entirely on purpose. If he's not comfortable with someone, then like hell is he going to share an intimate living space with them--and after a long day he just needs time to be completely alone. Design notes:

This took way longer to post than I expected mainly because of imposter syndrome and constantly thinking I could do more for his entry but, I'll keep this as Ace's main style anyway. It's pretty simple compared to previous designs, but to be fair, devil Ace's personality and shenanigans would stand out enough to compensate for that matter LOL

As I said on Deuce's post, I wanted to connect their designs in some aspects, so yeah! Complementary color pallettes! That's why they both have few shades that stand out of their main monochrome colors, Deuce is blues and greens, while Ace stays around red and oranges!

Fashion-wise now, I initially pictured him pulling a lot more references from 80s men fashion, but ig by the end I accidentally strayed away from that and somehow incorporated a more "modern" influence to it? Man I'm very bad at describing the creative process and vibes of my designs but what else is new 😭😭 ANYWAYS, off topic but I should mention that, as you can see I'll throw in a high heel in any characters that give me the opportunity to do so, this one especially, I had Cleo's "dawn of the dance" heels in the back of my mind while designing, ( I forgot to include in the image above again 😔) which fun fact, was my first Monster High doll I got as a kid, so-!!! That's a shoe style that I'm very fond of KWDNWKSNSK

LORE DUMP TIME, ok so given each characters unique scare-itage, the way the cast interact with each other and build relationships could somehow differ from how they interact in og twisted wonderland! For example, since MH!Ace is THE devil from THE bible (/ref) he probably shares a common background, or have met Vil and Idia before they enrolled in MH!NRC together! That's such a funny thing to think about for me. Who would have thought they'd ever be a trio of great childhood friends?

LORE.

DEMIGODS, GODLY PARENTS, & ABILITIES.

All characters must be claimed by one of our SIXTEEN godly parents. Godly parents are required to claim their demigod children by the age of 13, as established by Percy Jackson.

Abilities will typically begin to manifest in demigods when they are children, and acknowledgement of their godly heritage will amplify their scent and make it easier for monsters to find them.

Demigod abilities are specific to each godly parent, and they may not possess every ability that their parent possesses, and will develop proficiency in one specific ability, which can vary based on the demigod.

Certain abilities are present in all demigods, including fluency in Greek. Regardless of where they come from, all demigods can speak and understand the Greek language fluently, meaning that many classes within Antica are taught in the language.

While Camp Half-Blood is a very prominent and well-known camp for demigod children, it is not the only one of its kind. Both summer and full-time Greek demigod camps designed to train and protect young demigods exist in all parts of the world.

The virgin goddesses, Athena and Hestia, give birth through magic and retain their virginity. Children of Athena are born from Athena's thoughts, while children of Hestia are born from the hearth. Due to the nature of their birth, children of Athena and Hestia are claimed immediately at birth.

The Greek gods do not inherently possess human DNA. When they opt to have children with a mortal, they create their own DNA, or in the case of the virgin goddesses, give birth through magic. This free creation of their DNA allows for them to have demigod children of different ethnicities in spite of the shared parentage.

When the gods and goddesses appear to their demigod children, their children will see their respective parent in their godly form, while demigods belonging to other godly parents may see a vague parental figure or a glamoured appearance assumed by the god.

ANTICA UNIVERSITY.

Similar to Camp Half-Blood's camp borders, Antica University and the surrounding area of the Village has a border that serves as a mask for mortals and a barrier against the monsters lured in by the scent of demigods in the city. To mortals, it has the appearance of any other mortal college or university, one that is elite in every way.

Regarded highly by both mortals, demigods, and gods alike, to mortals it is merely a prestigious school with an excellent graduation rate.

For appearances sake, and some semblance of normalcy, the university does compete against mortal schools in athletics and other intercollegiate activities, using the mist to maintain the secrecy and true nature of the school.

Students are allowed to venture off campus and into the city of Athens, so long as they remain vigilant if they choose to enter the city beyond the university's borders. There is a mandatory curfew that requires students to be on campus, or within the Village, from the hours of midnight to 7:00am.

DIVINE HOUSING.

Due to the risks associated with living outside of the university's border, all students are REQUIRED to live on campus. Each resident hall is dedicated to a specific godly parent to facilitate bonds with half-siblings, designed with their god in mind, though it is not uncommon for demigods to spend time in other residence halls. The housing of the godly parents are set up in a large, spaced out circle just east of the main campus buildings, circled around a moderately-sized communal park-like area with a large gazebo in the center fashioned in the shape of Mount Olympus. This allows for students of different godly parents to study and mingle with one another among the benches and grassy patches.

The most common room layouts are double-singles or quad-singles, complete singles often reserved for resident assistants and graduate students. There are no communal bathrooms, so each room has 1-2 full bathrooms, depending on the room size. Roommates are generally chosen among one another, though can be randomly matched together.

The Residence Assistants of each hall are three of the oldest and most experienced children of their respective godly parent, students that are responsible for enforcing the rules, the curfew, planning events between halls, and maintaining hall cleanliness. Each hall is also overseen by a member of staff from the same godly parent.

Overnight guests are permitted, so long as all roommates are comfortable, though they can only be demigods as no mortals are allowed beyond the campus barriers unless it is for a sporting event.

➺ ninth house/dark academia: for nh specially she is a senior member of manuscript studying fashion design and performing arts she also tends to the campus community garden on the side. she is still very much a changeling in this verse but she leans more into her status as a hedge witch. she is hungry for magic and constantly looking for ways to get back to the halfway ( limbo ) ➺ high fantasy: she already is a changeling so this would sit somewhere in the realm of faerie lore but i am thinking of making her a skin-weaver of sorts. dead souls bargain with her and if they offer her something of important she will stitch them into a new body hehe ➺ grishaverse: she is some sort of frankenstein's monster of a grisha healer while grey herself was an adept heartrender before dying. brought back with possibly jurda parem in her system as a way to revive her and it truly messes with the process. basically her abilities are super weird and break a lot of the orders conventions in ways that are entirely unnatural. ➺ dc/gotham verse: she is basically poison ivy but she doesn't care enough to be an eco-terrorist. she is still very much a socialite/model in this scene. she is london-based first and foremost but has her own apartment in gotham as well. it is a pretty well known fact that house of hollow has uhhh not the most moral of benefactors helping fund the operation. her clothes carry all sorts of neat tricks from money to drugs to flesh-eating spores you name it.

HELLO!! I just read your Twst x LiEat AU and I'm absolutely frothing with it!!!

Like like, imagine little lie eating dragon MC just trotting around the campus talking to students and suddenly there's lie monsters popping around them. The students are startled, meanwhile MC is just like "FOOD!!" and happily chase after the lil guys and started chomping them, and during all that MC just casually asks "Why would you lie about that?"

I think Floyd would absolutely want to squeeze the lil lie monsters ✨✨ Azul would immediately thought ✨profit✨ cause he can use MC to sniff all the lies from his 'clients' and force em to come clean (even if he himself lies a lot).

I imagine being with Rook wouldn't produce any tasty lie monsters as he's always rather honest with his words, i think.

And and, OOOHHH imagine students who's been hiding behind a happy persona slowly getting corrupted by their lies and turning into a big lie monster. And everyone is surprised because they thought it was all blot but no, it was all just accumulated lie from them faking their true feelings.

MC in this can't really control their powers because I could imagine that they're not used to being able to use their powers more easily??? Because I'm pretty sure the LiEat universe is similar to ours except they have a few magic users and ofc other dragons that came from wishes (I can't remember the entire lore, it's been a while)

They deliberately ask Riddle to collar them for a while until they get the hang of controlling their powers. Floyd would definitely have fun chasing around the little lie monsters because it's fun and he wanna squeeze them while MC is like "Hey! That's my food!"

The lore of "What's Happened To Soho": Places and history

I've been working on this project for a looooong time now, however feel like many people don't quite know what it is, so I'm making a lore post (art mode turned off for now).

So far, WHTS has a fixed setting with a few places that come up. This is a list of the basics:

The characters are in England, London to be exact. They live in Soho.

As the world is closely linked in with Lovecraft, Miskatonic University exists. They have a campus in Soho (fictional), as well as one further down the map which will be mentioned later. This campus has a lab and a library, in which Griffin works. Victor and Hyde study here. There is also a museum in close proximity, in which the events of issue 3 are going to happen with Elizabeth and a mystery character who I have not yet introduced. This museum is home to the famous portrait of Dorian Gray, a man found dead in his apartment, suspected suicide, Victorian era (hint). This portrait was lost for a long period of time, however was eventually recovered. This does not guarantee that it will not be lost again. The library contains a copy of the Necronomicon, however special access is required to this section due to the sensitive contents of the book.

There is a 3 hour drive from Soho to Little Innsmouth. Little Innsmouth started as a settlement of former Innsmouthians unhappy with the outdated system of the former town. Little Innsmouth is a popular holiday destination and has a rich culture. Innsmouthians have skills in fishing and jewelery making, just like their American counterparts. However, they are much more open and do not eat people. Some say that there is a religious cult at work underneath the tourist-friendly facade of beaches and seafood....but oh, don't take their word for it. The town is the current home of the ocean god Dagon, who the locals worship. Little Innsmouth is the origin town of Gylphie and Otto, who are 3rd generation settlers. The mass-movement occurred around the late 60s or early 70s. The townies do not like talking about it. Little Innsmouth is small, with only about 2 hotels available, yet somehow happens to be bustling with visitors and photographers during the season. The townies are overwhelmingly religious and devoted to Dagon.

The town is very close to New Arkham, which is also a very popular tourist attraction. The city offers an asylum, another campus for Miskatonic (with an even bigger library), a planetarium and a few factories. It is quite atmospheric, however very dangerous to be around at night. New Arkham have their own mayor.

The Red Rat is a popular pub in Soho, this is where Hyde and Lucy meet. Lucy works here as a waitress. It is 5 minutes away from the apartment in which Hyde, Jekyll, Griffin and Victor first live together. Their landlord is the Time-traveller. Justine lives in an apartment opposite the men. She lives with William, raising him due to Caroline's death. Sometimes she does odd jobs for the Time-traveller, intrigued by the concept of time travel. It is how she first met Hyde, however that was a long time ago. A lot has changed since then.

The Frankensteins (exc William, Ernest, Justine and Victor) reside in a large Chateau in Switzerland. This is where Justine, Elizabeth, Ernest and Victor were raised before moving. Ernest and Elizabeth are travelling characters. They move a lot, not staying in one place for too long. Ernest is a monster hunter in training, Elizabeth simply enjoys moving.

There is an unnamed acre of woods near Soho, which most people tend to avoid. There have been rumoured sightings of a Moth-man here, as well as "wolves". Lucius Moritz, one of the Moritz siblings, was last seen here after his return from a mysterious island. He has been missing since. Justine quite enjoys the forest. It is where she gathers herbs and plants for her teas as well as divination practices.

Whitby is a seaside town home to Mina Murray, Arthur Holmwood, Lady Westenra, Jack Seward and Jonathan Harker. It will be explored more in the near future.

henry hawthorne. jensen ackles. old hollywood actor. born 1932. grew up watching & loving black & white movies, sparking his desire to become an actor. got invited to a casting for a movie in 1953, that sounded kind of fishy to him. using the opportunity, he later found out that the casting had been for an adult movie. initially wanting to decline, because he wanted to become a serious actor, he had to accepted the offer to pay his rent. starred in a few movies with women as well as men, before he got discovered by one of the actresses boyfriends, stanley grunnings, in 1956. a sleazy & greed agent, he used his connections to hollywood inner circles & arranged a casting for Henry in 1957, where he got picked for the leading role of Detective Nick Stanton in a film noir trilogy ( midnight in harlow, girl on the roof, the rippers file ). first movie became a huge success & henry became a weller- known name in the movie industry. his management paired him up with olivia frederics, an upcoming country singer, to make them hollywoods new it couple. olivia was one of the few people, henry was honest to about his homosexuality & both of them covered for each other, after she confessed she was bisexual. the character of Nick Stanton died in the third movie, the trilogy was a major success & therefore helped henry climb the ladder of hollywood success. separated from his management in 1960 because of creative difficulties & the same year, he & olivia decided to end their public relationship as well. Henry had become a bigger star until then, finally making it to Hollywood & was much happier, once he changed managements & signed with Jack Ellis management at the end of 1961. He has a habit of smoking & drinking & is quite naive & trusting.
