to ME. the red keep is like the nebbercracker house from Monster House (2006). its living and breathing and the corridors shift and the secret passages that are there arent there anymore and it slowly swallows people deeper and deeper into it. nobody ever leaves the small council they have to be forced out they have to be killed its a flytrap its a lotus island. it will get up and start eating children by becoming animate in winds of winter and deep inside it theres a heart thats actually what happened to rhaenys. the red keep is rhaenys body and visenya built it. its theirs. its what remains. its how they survived. theyre one. the iron throne is obviously some fucked up eldritch thing too,

Just me or does psimon and devastation give the same vibes as the old man and the dead woman from monster house?

OOOOOOH, oh man, I loved Monster House. Well…I hated Monster House bc it scared me but everything that scared me when I was younger, I came to adore. XD I love it now. I was…well…am incredibly endeared by the old man and dead woman, Horace Nebbercracker and Constance Nebbercracker <3 I’ll watch the movie just for them.

I gotta say, I have not considered that, I don’t exactly see it. They both definitely got that wonderful ‘Small man and his Large Beloved Wife’ dynamic going <3 magnificent. I’ll always advocate for it. Maybe its just bc I haven’t seen the movie in awhile that I don’t see it. I have it on DVD, I got to watch it again sometime. Maybe if we give Devastation and Psimon a few decades though 👀 awwww old Psimon and Devastation, still in love, it’d be everything <333333

Here's an interesting piece of trivia:

In the original script(s) for Monster House from Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab, it was Jenny Bennett who came nose-to-nose with Constance's cement corpse.

But director Gil Kenan later changed it to DJ since he had more of a connection to the titular house.

MONSTER HOUSE (2006) Grade: C-

Odd film in the sense it was too scary and morbid for kids but not clever enough for adults. It pulls at your heart a little. I actually thought I'd like it. It's forgettable.
