My bias is showing, but it is my favorite theme even though fighting in the Vale can be... a experience...

This wasn't my smartest decision, but I decided to toy around with Shin a little more. I kept quiet. I put up my poker face, pretending that his torment didn't affect me. I can endure it. The church put me through worse. However, Shin gradually became more aggressive each time. (1) Until he'd grown tired from my lack of reaction. It didn't take long until I was tossed aside, like a broken doll. He stormed out of the room, dissatisfied that he didn't get the reaction he wanted. Biting through the pain, I rose back to my feet and ೃ⁀➷SMILED. He has yet to realize that I'm the one in ೃ⁀➷CONTROL.

(1) Noctis is referring to the time the vampire hunters put their trainees, including herself, through brutal training in order to prepare them for the kind of torment vampires can put them through.
A/N: Damn that dialogue was long, but it was so much fun! In contrast to Shin, Noctis tries to control Shin psychologically. She mostly succeeds, but it always comes with the cost of getting injured. In the Dark Chapters, she goes through trial and error and tests various things to see how she can push his buttons in her favor. Sometimes her attitude gets the best of her and she gets in trouble with Carla and Shin because she can't keep her damn mouth shut and lets a sassy remark slip 😭

As sad as I am about the collab not being DMC (realistically I always knew Monster Hunter was the better choice), somehow I think the public has yet to realize the new Siracusa event is sorta like an Ace Attorney “collab”. The setting has our operator Texas making music onstage with vocalist Sora and the band. Lappland enjoying it in the audience. The latter had no qualms about smashing her enemies right through the formers’ performance though. None of the 3 operators are phased in the slightest. Lappland crossing blades with Texas before tossing the second blade Texas needed to deal the finishing blow on the poor NPC. Sora was even so kind to provide live vocal BGM at the right moment (who’s to say she’s not using her Bard abilities). It’s strongly hinted that this isn’t the first time these 3 Lupos came across one another.
Life isn’t all sunshine & giggles for Texas though because of a death within her family. Lappland & Vigil are revealed to be members of their own criminal families. Lappland being a person of interest in someone’s theory crafting/case planning as seen by her photo being pinned in the middle of an evidence board. Private investigator? Detective perhaps? Penance being a judge of sorts, deliverer of justice, possibly having a hand in the courtroom drama playing out in this event. Plenty of news headlines could mean it’s a high profile case. We may not check off every single bullet point but as of now things are lining up pretty well.

咱可是去年五月尾就开始玩《Tears of the Kingdom》到今年都他妈的还没玩完!真的很喜欢这样慢慢摸的进度,因为省钱,不会想买新游戏啊!
不过呢,最近突然有股想玩这个以前的我超级喜欢游戏,所以昨晚玩了。游戏就叫... Astral Chain!
Man, I remember our brain growing new neurons just to know how to control my Legion. Which is this ghost-ish alien thing connected to the main character that has some limited capacity to fight on its own, but its power is best utilized if you actually control it at the same time as your character.
For someone whose track record suggests incredible idiocy at games requiring quick reflexes (fighting games, shooters, etc.), Astral Chain was strangely one of the games I became pretty good at a faster rate than other games I'd played! Yea, that includes Fire Emblem and Monster Hunter. Kinda funny because of how insane the requirement was; you have to control two characters at once essentially.
"I" loved Astral Chain! And now, I also love it! So much! The Sword Legion is so cute! Quite handsome too, but mostly cute! The Bow Legion is very cute too! And the world? This cyberpunkish sci-fi world is beautiful. It's probably not suitable for people who can't look at neon lights or bright, stark colors, but I'm not one of them!
And the Astral Plane! IT'S MY FAVORITE! I love that world so much. Part of it is also because of the BGM that plays in the Astral Plane. Is it psybient? Something like that? Anyway it transitions between psybient and djent—
The BGM overall is amazing. Djent is the concept! I love djent!
At first, I wondered why there was suddenly this mood to play this old game. It's not like I got bored of Tears of the Kingdom. In fact, it's the opposite! But the 8 Foot Tall Woman and Fionn knew some things about me better than I do sometimes, meh heh!
It's because of what I've been reading lately! No, not the science and philosophy stuff. The manga! The manga stimulated the parts of my cortex that hold memories of Astral Chain based on some similarities! Those ghosts reminded me of Legions, that's why! Legions and other aberrations cannot be seen by normal people save for those who are connected to a Legion! And the undercurrent of Amoral Science, too.
The two ultimately don't share that much commonality beyond superficial similarities, but I already like Astral Chain and I'm just looking for an excuse to play it anyway.
Oh. But I remember how fucked up my fingers and joints were from playing that game, because man, it's a frenzy. And once again, I play "Hard" mode because... it extends gameplay time! Make me milk that game's worth!

[Review] VR Archery similar to Mario. | Shooting star vr
Hello 😊
in April, a VR archery game called "SHOOTING STAR VR" was released on STEAM. As a fan of VR archery games, I downloaded it and gave it a try.
I know that there are quite a few people who enjoy VR archery games like myself, so I've decided to write a review this time.

[Tutorial]
When you enter the game, it starts with a tutorial.

- The game provides instructions on how to summon, pull back, and shoot the bow.
- If you hit three stars, you can move to the lobby.

- The lobby is grand and adorable, reminiscent of Mario. It's so big that it can't be captured in a single screen.
- Once you enter it yourself, it becomes even more majestic. You'll hear gentle water sounds and an orchestral BGM reminiscent of an amusement park. There are monster objects playing around and objects that can be directly hit and broken with your bow. All of these elements evoke the atmosphere of an amusement park.

- In the lobby, you can move to different lands.
- There are a total of four lands: Forest, Lava, Ice, and Star.
- To move to a land, you need to hit the portal in front of you with an arrow.
- As for the stars, you simply need to hit them directly. (However, you must hit stars with eyes on them. If there are only numbers, it means that the stage is not yet open.😙)

- There is also a UI on the left side! When you press the gear button on the left, options like these are enabled.
- One-handed mode, vibration, hand preference for holding the bow, and various other settings are available!

- On the right side, there is a bow storage where you can see the bows you have collected so far. Selecting a bow will transform your current bow into the selected one.
- New bows are given each time you clear the Star Land.

- Oh! If you look behind, there's a mirror! It's fun to see your character in VR, just like in VR Chat.
- There are two character options. The outfits are like Robin Hood, so cute! 🙂
[Forest]

- Forest is all about "Hunting."
- Do you know how hunters used to practice shooting arrows at wooden boards with animal drawings for hunting practice? It's similar to that. You need to hit the wooden boards within a certain time limit.
- However, the wooden boards in Forest move around, making it challenging for us to hit them. It really feels like hunting in real life.
[Lava]

- LAVA is all about "Battle."
- It's straightforward. Monsters will attack the player.
- The player needs to hit and eliminate the monsters without getting hit.
- As you progress further into the stages, the number of monsters increases, so you'll need to move rhythmically to stay ahead.

- ICE is all about "Sniping."
- The ice formations have "Cores." Do you see the red spots behind the ice? Those are the cores.
- You need to hit all the cores within a limited time. Aim for the moving cores while avoiding your arrows!
- As you progress further into the stages, there will be different types of monsters guarding the cores.

- STAR is essentially a "Rhythm game."
- In each stage, there is music playing, and stars fly along with the rhythm.
- There are moments when black stars turn into yellow stars in sync with the beat. Hit the stars at that moment!
- The stars approach slowly before turning yellow, making it easier for you to hit them.

- The boss is located in the final stage of each land.
- The boss has various patterns.
- Quickly analyze the boss's patterns and defeat it within a short time.

- It's unique that the game incorporates various gameplay elements that can be done with a bow. Usually, when we think of bow games, we only consider hunting or combat. However, this game eliminates monotony by including elements like sniping and rhythm.
- The graphics are quite cute, and it seems like even young children would enjoy them.
- The sound design is rich. With the lobby, different lands, and rhythm gameplay, there is a variety of sounds. If only one song kept repeating, it could have become monotonous, but the game offers a fresh experience with diverse sounds.
- Each land has 30 stages, which makes it enjoyable. Usually, games in this genre have around 10 stages or go as far as 300 stages. However, this game strikes a good balance with an appropriate number of stages.
- In conclusion, it seems like a decent game worth playing.

Monster Hunter Rise... some complaints
Okay... First off I love Monster Hunter Rise, it’s probably more addicting to me than World was and is ALMOST the perfect blend of Classic hunter games and World’s modernness... almost. 
One of my first main issues that rooted it’s self at the very beginning of my playtime was the main theme for the village. It’s lovely the first time you hear it but I muted the BGM because it got beyond annoying. Previous games had fantastic hub/village music but Rise decided to go with vocals for some reason? That just adds to the annoyingness of it as it clearly repeats quite quickly.
The charm is there in some areas but not others. Where is my poogie? He’s GONE! Where is the ability to flop into your bed? Gone I guess? The bun dango or whatever is cute but again... overstays it’s welcome. I’ve not seen it change or anything even when getting new ingredients or seemingly upgrading it. While it’s cute the first time I skip it every time now.
WHY AM I FIGHTING MONSTERS! Okay... previous games always gave reasons to fight big monsters, like “oohhh this one is blocking our path to the mine... kill it!” and you did. But now I’m fighting Zinogre and other fan favorite monsters without reason. It feels like how Generations Ultimate did things but at least in that game it made sense because it was a “greatest hits” collection style... Rise is pretending to have a story but it boils down to “Do 4-5 hunts and do an urgent.”
The Flagship... I loved my fight with Marshmellow. It was great, it was tense it was the first fight that actually was difficult. But the lead up was awful. Remember 4U where you saw/fought Gore 2-3 times before the final fight, and all the conversations were like “Ohh know one knows who he is, the ace squad almost was wiped because of him” and it added to that power fantasy at the end... Marshmellow is just like “Oh, yeah he’s been around... kill him.” and you do and that’s it. No special arena either even though I fully expected it because he was “lured into a trap” but... also wasn’t? I left the fight feeling like “oh... uhm... okay anyways.” and that’s not okay after fighting a flagship.
It’s just... easy? I’m not a pro hunter at all but I’m breezing through quests against monsters that carted me several times in past games like Khezu, Rathian and others. I’ve only carted once because my controller was having a bad drift day.
Now I love Rise, and I’m honestly so addicted but I’m not seeing anyone talk about these issues so maybe I’m alone? I just needed to get this out there somewhere. Love you all and Happy Hunting!
