Egg prices are so high where I am that I’m thinking about just eating Breg’s eggs. 😭
[Allow me to retcon something about breeder eggs, I should have fixed it sooner. 🤔 You're right though, inflation will affect us all common mortals.]
You're likely to not know Breg's species can be oviparous until much later on, or unless he mentions something related to it.
See, the eggs are mostly only ever utilized when breeders mate with each other, or a monster species which is also oviparous. These monsters function in odd, odd ways which science honestly struggles to comprehend. Their bodies can tell when it'll be supposedly necessary to generate/accept eggs and modify accordingly. Meaning, when he's with you, Breg won't start that process, because his body can tell (through some sort of signal) that's not how you reproduce.
What ends up happening rarely is that, during heats, which have been exacerbated due to the treatment and modifications done to these poor monsters, they'll sometimes cross wires and start egg production anyway. These eggs are the same ones utilized for breeder/breeder couplings, meaning you're not about to be a parent even if Breg manages to stuff a good number of them inside you. (The size of them is roughly a slightly larger chicken egg at first, but if accepted properly by another breeder, they do grow a good bit.)
Breg has no attachment to his eggs outside of heat, mostly because he recognizes they're pointless, so you can definitely eat them if you'd like, once they're out of you. He enjoys watching you do so, but it's not a sexual thing. The type of coloration is similar to ameraucana eggs, and the yolk is a light greenish tint. The taste doesn't differ all that much from a regular chicken egg, but it does vary with his diet.

went out yesterday to feed birds and found my old buckeye hen dead. she had gotten a toe caught in some wire on the bottom of their nestbox shelf and ended up dangling, probably all night or at least the whole morning before i went out there. poor girl. that flock is getting slowly smaller and smaller and it makes me sadder and sadder that my old incubator ruined all those beautiful eggs i bought from california. i didn't hatch hardly any chicks this year and i don't think i kept any either, but i really should sit down and find good breeders next year so i can repop my chickens :(

I need us to bring back regular old veggie burgers and bean burgers. I’m looking at menus for the places I know my brother will want to go eat this weekend, and it’s all Impossible or Beyond, including one place where I used to be able to get the best black bean burger. It’s also all more expensive.
I guess the one saving grace is this place has a really good non-dairy shake, so I can just have fries and a shake.
