Not to make you one more time hopeful after another lose (but that's why btw I use my ideas more for fics and less for real hope on the show bc they have interesting way with grabbing and throwing away the arcs), but sweethearts, it's still not the end. possibly

Firstly, because how and in which tense Oliver speaks. Second, because remember how last season ended open for henren with Mara and Eddie with Chris? They knew that they have next season and they decided to basically put everyone on good ending, except Buck, who's arc to happy ending actually need more time and have it next season (tho ofc it might be not bucktommy)

Also, Oliver might have not worked with Lou after 8x15, but are you sure it's no interaction between them from finale at all? What if, you know, Buck starts calling someone and says "hey, Tommy" and boom we have the open ending for 9s where we find out they try to be friends over the phone, but big emergency make them meet and they start kissing and get back together

What it solves? They can give us one-two calls and tell that they were talking their old problems on the phone during time jump. Not satisfying, but c'mon it's 911

Why it's better? Because they can say that they talked, Tommy can be a hero one more time and they solve the problem of Buck being too sad and grieving after Bobby(he's NOT in mental space for building relationships)

Anyway, you're being sad is valid, as well as it was valid for people not to have much hope and i hated how so many people was aggressively trying to prove them wrong. I hope situation today taught everyone good. We can hope, we can have "oh, c'mon they did all this it can't not happen" but it still happens not like we expected, so please stop make people feel bad for being pessimistic from the get go

It sucks we don't have canon and might not have it anymore, but maybe, stop waiting so hard and consecrate on fanon? It hasn't fuck me yet

love that xie lian canonically gets jealous like he was so sullen and gloomy every time hua cheng brought up his special someone and he literally threw himself in front of hua cheng’s sweaty shirtless torso cause the idea of someone else seeing even an inch of his man half-naked had him stressed as hell ... i truly feel that xie lian is the possessive one cause while we all know hua cheng is protective and will hold a centuries-long grudge, i feel like he would never dare to lay claim to xl whereas xl is like mine mine mine, this ghost is mine!!! and if someone else touches him i'll throw up and dig a hole to die in!!
