1920s BIRTHSTONE LOOKBOOK - PART 2
Welcome back to the glitz and glamour of the 1920s birthstone lookbook! After hair, jewellery is my favourite CC to hunt for so these ensembles were so much fun for me to put together. Want more good time gals and fabulous flappers? You can check out part one here.
Ruby is one of the most expensive gemstones and with its rich red colour it isn't hard to see why. Rubies have long been connected with physicality and strength, thought to be intimately connected with the human body.
Hair | Earrings (TSR) | Necklace (TSR) | Dress | Gloves | Bracelets | Ring (TSR) | Shoes (TSR)
Peridot is one of my favourite stones thanks to its gorgeous yellow-green hue. Because of this lively appearance they were often thought to protect their wearer at night.
Hair (retired - direct download) | Hairband (TSR) | Earrings | Necklace | Fur Bolero | Dress | Gloves | Bracelet | Cigarette Holder | Stockings (TSR) | Shoes
Sapphire is considered a protective gemstone. They may shield the wearer from physical harm, as well as bad intentions and envy. It was also thought that sapphires had medicinal properties.
Hat | Hair | Earrings | Necklace (TSR) | Coat | Gloves & Stockings (Base Game) | Shoes
Opal is an incredibly unique gemstone with its multi-coloured appearance. Opals are associated with light and magic, with some crediting them with healing properties.
Hair | Earrings | Necklace (TSR) | Feather Trim | Dress Mesh (retired - direct download) | Dress Recolour (retired - direct download) | Gloves | Bracelet (TSR) | Ring (TSR) | Stockings | Shoes
Topaz comes from the Sanskrit word for fire, which is reflected in its vibrant and rich orange-yellow colour. It is believed that topaz worn above the heart assures long life, beauty and intelligence.
Hair | Hairband | Earrings | Choker (TSR) | Coat | Dress | Gloves (Vampires) | Shoes
Blue Topaz actually comes out of the ground colourless or pale blue. A two-step heat and radiation laboratory treatment is then used to turn these stones vivid blue.
Hair (TSR) | Hairband | Earrings & Bracelets | Necklace (TSR) | Dress | Gloves & Stockings (Base Game) | Shoes

Hi Maddy! I have several questions if that's okay I love the quality of the photos you take of your Sims! Do you have any tips for good programs or apps that allow you to edit photos well? (Sometimes your photos almost seem edited with Facetune or something and I think it's so beautiful) And do you perhaps have any tips for me on how I can get my tumble page organized, unfortunately I don't understand it at all. (Maybe a good tutorial that you know about) Thank you very much in advance!!🥰
Hi gorgeous, no worries at all!
My biggest tip in terms of quality is if your PC can handle it, use SRWE. It is the most game-changing application you can use when it comes to increasing the quality of your photos.
Example | 1027 x 1027 vs. 3000x3000
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even without editing, the photo quality is amplified perfectly. Although SRWE can get a bit..moody with you, it is a process of trial & error and what works for you.
As for editing applications I use, I only use Photoshop & I have my own filter/editing folder that I use on most of my photos. But besides that, I use the "Dodge" & "Burn" tool to add more dimension to my photos by lightening under eyes, intensifying contours, etc.
I personally prefer the way I edit as well because it adds more dimension to my photos which is something GShade doesn't do for me well enough on its own.
Example | With & Without Photoshop Editing (this was roughly edited but you get the gist)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do not use any other editing softwares for photos besides Photoshop! However, before this I was using Remini and I am now so mad at how much money I wasted over that stupid app.
As for organizing your Tumblr, I recommend abusing using hashtags to sort your content! So for Anastasia Brownstone, anything she or content related to her is posted, I always use the hashtag "brownstone*". This way, I have everything sorted for her and have it linked on my Navigation post.
I do the same for Lookbooks, Interiors, Downloads, etc. and have found this the best way to organize my content!
I hope all this information is enough for your questions, but please let me know otherwise!

EIGHT. throw pillows: not for throwing
written — 2.2k words
warnings: strangling, suicidal thoughts (not actually but it sounds a lot like it), yn beats up heeseung
Tumblr media
At seven years old, your grandfather had put you into self-defence classes.
By nine years old, you had been blacklisted from every self-defence and martial arts program in the country.
It wasn't that you had done something so egregious that every instructor you had would call the next in a frenzied panic warning of your existence—you'd simply been a little...enthusiastic.
But maybe sending four kids to the ER and knocking your third instructor into a water fountain did garner some short of reprisal.
You didn't learn much during the two short years you were taught (all of the hospitalizations you caused were done with impeccably horrible technique), but when your target walks around like two kids stacked in a trench coat, being good at fighting wouldn't have given you that big of an advantage anyway.
You weren't a violent person in nature, but the universe had some sort of vendetta against you and it decided that today was the day it would act upon it, so a couple of enraged actions had come from your hands as of late.
The first of which was after you'd come to the realization that your company was seconds away from going up in flames.
Okay, maybe not seconds away, but someone definitely left a candle unattended in your office.
With a month and a half left before the announcement of Le Désir's biggest campaign since their 2011 "La Vie en Rose" collection, the lack of a face to adorn the company name was becoming more and more apparent.
Liz's lookbook felt like a Pinterest board that would only exist as soulless inspiration for a vision that would never come to fruition, Yujin's proposal had been collecting dust on your desk for weeks, Yeonjun hadn't even bothered finishing a contract, and paying every other employee became another sore reminder of all the work they weren't able to do yet, simply sitting around, answering emails and gossiping all day about the stale cucumber water in the foyer.
After letting off some steam by threatening to deprive your best employees (and friends) of food, the stroll Sunoo had loosely suggested seemed like a fair idea.
It didn't help—mostly because you had not been clearing your head and instead walked the streets with your eyes peeled for someone to manipulate into becoming a model—and barely 20 minutes later, you were ready to go back to the office.
As you were heading back, a small path you'd neglected to notice earlier peaked out from the line of trees along the sidewalk. In a last ditch effort, you'd ventured down the lily-lined clearing.
It wasn't long before a sparkle slipped through the branches, the spectrum of light bouncing through the air and seeping into the space between matter as you continued on your way. The shimmers grew more harsh against your vision the further you walked until the path fully emerged into a clearing onlooking a punchbowl of shine and crystalline speckles: a lake.
As beautiful as the sun's playdate with the Earth was, the spectacle only reminded you of the diamonds around your wrist, the Le Désir name engraved along the underside branding your skin until your blood pooled at the scene and spelled out Shin Yuna's name.
You were not a violent person, maybe that's why you decided to pick up the first rock you saw and chuck it into the lake instead of at someone.
You were not a violent person, maybe that's why you screamed your hate for Shin Yuna's company into the limitless forest instead of at the poor intern who sent the email confirming their cancellation of the collab.
You were not a violent person, maybe that's why you threw your blazer into the grass and walked into the water hoping it would swallow you whole instead of selling your pride to find a celebrity to work with.
You were not a violent person, maybe that's why the second you recognized the face of the man who saved your life, you jumped on his back instead of strangling him—though, your arms wrapped around his neck probably felt all the same.
"What the hell!" He choked out, his hands prying at your forearms. He whipped himself from side to side in an effort to shake you off, but you simply hooked your ankles together in front of his stomach. "What are you doing—" A grunt. "—I literally just saved your life!"
"Exactly!" You shouted, "Why would you do that?! Now I have to live in this stupid world without my stupid brand deal!"
"What the fuck are you even talking about?!"
Through borderline screaming and exasperated groans, the man finally got you off as he fell backwards onto the sofa, holding you in place beneath his weight.
It didn't take much to push him off, watching him fall to the floor between the couch and the coffee table. You grabbed one of his frilly throw pillows and whacked his shoulder, barely missing his head before deciding you might as well hit him there too.
With a squeal, he covered his head with his arms, barely managing to scramble onto his feet and run into the kitchen.
"Get back here!" You exclaimed, the dampness of your clothes not hindering your agility in the slightest. You ran after him, blocking the one entrance to the kitchen as he trapped himself against the sink.
His hands flew out in front of him as if to stop you from getting closer. His chest rose and deflated rapidly like he'd just ran a 5K and the genuine fear in his eyes was illuminated under the flickering pot lights.
"Please," He heaved out, "I have a wife and kids."
"You have three empty cups of ramen and a framed photo of The Weeknd in your room," You deadpanned, "The only wife and kids you have are the ones on your Octodad play through."
"Oh my gosh, did I leave my computer on?" He asked, his hands falling to his sides again.
"Yeah," You replied, dropping the pillow against your thigh as well, "And how are you only at the aquarium? It said you were like twelve hours in."
"I suck at mouse controls—" His annoyed explanation halted itself as his eyes fell on you again. "Wait, shut up, you just jumped me in my own apartment—"
"Do you want me to continue?"
"No!" He shouted, "I-I mean, no. But, I think I deserve an explanation or something?"
You shrugged. "I had a rough day, found that lake, went into said lake, and then your nosey ass thought it was a good idea to pull me out and make me live another dreadful day full of corporate captivity."
"You're talking as if I have any idea who you are—"
You didn't hear a single word that escaped his mouth as your arm swung the pillow at him again.
Maybe those self-defence classes did actually teach you something, because a second later, the man was on the ground.
Tumblr media
"Stop moving."
The man winced again as you swiped another drop of hydrogen peroxide along his cheekbone. Every time he flinched, your finger would land the chemical on his nose instead, and the delicate swoop of its bridge was glistening at this point.
Your lips pursed together as you focused on picking away the dried blood and fully coating the shallow gash on his face. You hadn't intended to send him flying to the tiled floor, and you certainly hadn't meant to make him nick his cheek on a part of the glass tile that had chipped off.
The mindless rage you'd felt towards the mystery man quickly dissolved between the feathers of the throw pillow you'd misused for actual throwing. As he rolled onto his back, his hand clutching the side of his face as it contorted out of your full view, your stomach filled with limestone bricks and your airways cleared until your breathing sounded like an echo.
The pillow fell to the floor at the entrance as you fell to your knees by his side.
"Oh my God, are you okay?"
"I mean, probably," He groaned, "But I'm gonna say 'no' to make you feel worse."
And it worked, because here you were ten minutes later, patching up the cut you gave him.
Your clothes were barely dry, and you tried to avoid getting your half-drenched sleeves on his face as you cleaned him up.
You flattened a butterfly bandage over the wound, your fingers crowding on his cheek to make sure the adhesive didn't latch onto itself or crinkle on his skin. As you pulled away the paper, you let your eyes rest from the staring contest they'd started with his freckled face. They decided to settle on the man's eyes, wide as they looked up at you with an innocence akin to a baby deer. A smile etched its way onto your lips.
You looked away to throw out the wrapper and took a seat on the closed toilet, right next to where he sat on the edge of the bathtub.
You had finished atoning for your attack, yet neither of you made an effort to signal that. Instead, you sat in silence, waiting for your involuntary host to welcome the next idea.
But he never did.
"So," You began, trying to ease some of the indecision, "Why did you go after me? In the water?"
The man shrugged. "Isn't that just like...what anyone would do? You see someone in danger, so you help."
You nodded, opening your mouth to speak but being cut off before you even knew what you were going to say. The man crossed his arms over his stomach and raised his eyebrows, glaring at the floor as he said, "They're usually more appreciative of it, though."
Your lips snapped shut again before you scoffed. "I wasn't in danger."
"You were drowning."
"I was taking a dip," You defended, "For an extended period of time."
"Whatever," He groaned.
As the man softly poked at the bandage on his cheek, his attention on the bathmat on the floor, your phone vibrated in your pocket; The man must have picked it up for you because it was laying next to you when you'd woken up.
RYUJIN: your location is off, where r u?
everyone is worried, especially liz
ok that was a lie its jay
but i thought you might come back sooner if it was liz
"Is someone looking for you?"
Your head shot up at the man's crackly voice, his focus on you for the first time since you'd sat down. You cleared your throat. "Yeah."
As much as you wanted to run away from all of your responsibilities and trash your company, people were counting on you. You'd forgotten about that.
"Maybe," You mumbled, "I do appreciate you pulling me out."
For the first time since you'd met him, the man smiled—genuinely smiled. His lips thinned out against his teeth as his smile lines defined themselves in his skin as a way of saying 'you're welcome'.
Happiness looked good on him. You felt bad for almost robbing yourself of the opportunity to see it.
Your eyebrows quirked up as you watched his grin fall back into his normal visage. "What's your name, anyways?"
The man hesitated for a moment, but eventually breathed out an answer, "Heeseung."
"Heeseung," You repeated, testing the name out on your tongue. It slipped between your teeth and fell back on your ears with ease. "I like it."
"Thanks?" He said, "What about you?"
"Y/N," You quickly replied.
"Well, nice to meet you, Y/N." Heeseung smiled. "Now, could we please get out of my bathroom?"
With a quick quip of agreement, the two of you stood up to head back out. Heeseung lead the way, and you couldn't help but admire the way his shoulders straightened out as he passed through the door.
You hadn't noticed it from the way he practically folded in on himself and made himself smaller earlier, but he was quite tall as well, his head barely scrapping by the door frames—though, he did have unusually low ceilings.
And as Heeseung lead you back to the living room, the gears in your brain started moving again, clinking into place and pulling strings around until a sentence formed in your throat.
Ingenuous yet ardent eyes, broad shoulders, impressive height, defined facial features—holy shit.
You'd spent two weeks mulling over your dilemma. All of your employees had bent backwards to solve your issue, you hadn't gotten more than two hours of sleep in 14 days, and every corner of your mind had been plagued with the absence of the most important aspect of the project.
And all you had to do this entire time was try to drown.
Perhaps God felt bad for you, or maybe this was always how things were supposed to work out, but either way, it was as if the weight of the world had been lifted off of your shoulders.
He was right here the whole time, right here with his twin sized bed that his feet definitely dangled off of, with his figurines of characters intended for children, and without any sense of how to carry himself.
"Heeseung?"
He hummed, looking up at you standing in the open space between the hall and the living room as he sat down on the sofa.
"Have you ever modelled before?"

[surfaces from the deep with art in tow]
'tis i, the purveyor of fem!kinnporsche lookbooks, this time bearing kimchay. if you missed the kinnporsche one it's here. if you didn't, you know the drill, thoughts and refs beneath the cut.
okay let's start with kim:
i'm gonna be real with you folks: i struggled hard with fem!kim. in my head, kim much like fem!kinn is someone who uses her clothes to send messages, but where kinn is trying to communicate power and authority, kim is instead using her clothes to adopt different personas or elements of her personality. and so, i can see fem!kim wearing nearly everything, basically.
kimlor swift aka wik aka internet popstar kim
so, return customers may notice something odd about kim: i gave her different poses for each of her personas. why? i think kim is someone who embodies a lot of different personas, and i think the change is more than skin deep.
this was very much the first set i drew. the brief for these outfits in my head was something like "k-pop kim possible". also a lot of these were drawn when i still had covid lmao so i barely remember most of it.
it was very important to me that kim had a wolf cut. that fact came to me the moment i started thinking about fem!kim. so. you know. you're welcome.
runing errands (first outfit) - this one was the first outfit i drew for kim, and it was mostly summoned up from my own head. i spent a lot of time scrolling through pinterest before i started drawing. in my head, this is sort of what she wears when she's out and about as wik but not like, performing or whatever. still a very crafted image, but a little more casual than her performance gear.
performance (second outfit) - this one does have a ref! i found this image on pinterest and was like yes. this one. i thought long and hard about what i wanted wik's fashion and persona to be, because i debated going along the family friendly singer-songstress route, but in the end i figured she had to be cool and a little edgy. hence [gestures at the clothes].
award show/red carpet (third outfit) - this one's kind of fun. longtime listeners will recall that i started drawing these lookbooks bc @mortimerlatrice told me they didn't think fem!kinn would wear dresses and i had to disprove them -- so i thought it'd be fun if for kim, she only wore dresses when on mafia business. kim in a dress is a blaring warning signal that you're gonna get your shit rocked. so, kim's award show look is a pantsuit. she doesn't wear dresses at all as wik. there was definitely a reference image for this one, but i drew the entirety of this first set when i had covid, so i don't think i saved it OTL
detective wikachu aka mafia kim
another fun detail you might notice about mafia!kim -- she's always got her hair up. that was also deliberate. also holy shit this set killed me so bad. we'll get there.
running errands (detective errands) (first outfit) - this is what kim wears when she's gotta blackmail randos for info. fairly casual, all things told, but very different in vibe to her wik stuf. also the pattern on that suit is incredibly simple but it took me 45 mins to create bc i still had covid brainfog at this point. the reference for this look was celine's spring/summer 2021 rtw collection look 24.
visiting dad (to snoop) (second outfit) - another source of debate for me. what, exactly, does kim send as a message to her father when she comes back home? i played with the idea of her wearing a sort of perfectly pretty mafia princess disguise, but i don't think that's what she'd use to get on her father's good side. so, she's wearing a dress (fuck your shit up vibes for her) but it's got a strong vibe to it. so, i had to go with alexander mcqueen, which is one of my favourite designers. this one is specifically alexander mcqueen pre-fall 2022 look 17.
at a gala (mafia-flavoured) also to snoop (third outfit) - oh my god you guys will not believe how many of these i went through. i even fully drew another option before discarding it completely. (originally, i was going to go with erdem pre-fall 2023 look 8 which i drafted here but i just didn't vibe with it the more i worked on it. i guess it felt a little too princessy? so i pivoted.) this one is from another of those designers i actually really like, zuhair murad. this one's from fall 2022 couture, specifically look 38. very much love at first sight. the moment i saw it, i knew i was gonna draw it. and oh boy did drawing it make me suffer. that bead pattern on the dress? killed me. actually killed me. fucking OW. worth it though.
family portrait (fourth outfit) - after all the suffering of kim's formal look this one was comparatively a breeze. found a pic on pinterest, and whoosh i went drawing. the reference is here.
chay!kim
this set is very much what it says on the tin, the clothes kim wears around chay. let's go.
guitar tutoring (first outfit) - okay so in my head the brief for this one was "what kim thinks chay thinks wik wears on her downtime", which very much sets the tone for the entire outfit. i just think it's fun if kim twists herself out of sorts with how clever she is and then chay just bulldozes straight through that. i don't actually have a reference for this one. just drew it.
rescue chay (second outfit) - this is what kim wears to go save chay from the tawan kidnapping. i dubbed this one "when you got library study session at 9, rescue bae at 12, and cyberpunk revolution at 3". the loose inspo for this one was this dress on pinterest which i tracked to the brand ganni and then found they no longer made.
say no to drugs, chay (third outfit) - okay so i wanted this outfit to be like. a wake up call to chay. the first time chay sees kim in a skirt, and the first time chay realises that maybe kim is a little dangerous. it's alexander mcqueen (ofc it is) and actually in the time between me drawing this and posting it, someone actually wore the skirt from this look on the red carpet. it's the spring 2023 rtw collection, look 24. salma hayek wore the skirt to the 2023 brits here.
the youtuber apology video fit (fourth outfit) - the brief here was "kim forcibly bolting on hinges". the idea was to kind of soften her mafia edges but leave the cornerstones of how she dresses for that very much there. so, dress, hair up, but much more relaxed. this outfit is from tommy hilfiger's spring 2023 rtw collection, specifically look 17.
onto chay:
chay was really hard to start with, i'm going to be real. i think the sum total for my notes when i started was just one word: dungarees? as i drew more of her i started to think of her as someone who thrifts and then alters a lot of her clothes. i wanted colour and patterns, and i suffered for them. by god did i suffer.
a few lil headcanons i have about her:
i think chay probably finds it easy to be considered cute and hard to move out of that box. i think there's a part of chay that wants to be sexy the way porsche is (ESPECIALLY if this is a fem!porsche universe) but doesn't know how to go about trying to achieve that. she had to ask yok how to teach her how to apply eyeliner bc porsche doesn't know how to and doesn't care to learn.
i think the role of like, female role model/influence in chay's life is later taken up by fem!kinn, who is full of the kind of advice porsche would be horrified to hear given to her precious baby sister.
chay has short hair because when she had long hair porsche was obsessed with getting her the right shampoos and conditioners and stuff to take care of it (probs based on some internalised stuff from when porsche was at school and girls would mock her for her split ends) so chay just puts a stop to that by cutting all her hair off and it turns out she kind of likes it? so she keeps it.
casual outfits
i drew all these patterns myself. from scratch. you're welcome.
green dungarees (first outfit) - the reference image is here. this was the first look i drew and also the moment i realised how stupid i was to choose a "fun" foot pose for chay. this caused no end of suffering going forward.
orange dungarees (second outfit) - ref here. here i started to regret the pattern aspect of my chay design. also those messy canvas ankle boots killed me to draw. they were so hard.
sweater vest (third outfit) = MORE FUCKING PATTERNS. i also had a reference for this one somwhere but i was drawing this whilst playing dnd so i think it just got lost.
special outfits
school uniform (first outfit) - i did a bit of looking into school uniforms in thailand and from what i can tell they basically all look very similar. idk if the lilac shirt + navy skirt combo is standardised for girls but it was pretty much all i found when i went looking. also she has a long skirt because when she and porsche bought it for her, they bought a really big one that she could wear all through school.
one (1) smart dress (second outfit) - the idea here is that this is the one smart item of clothing that chay has, and it's the one-size-fits-all-occasions dress. it's dark so it can be worn to funerals. it's somewhere between business and formal so it can be worn to both those kinds of occasions. it was based on this dress i found on pinterest.
going to a concert with friends (third outfit) - i... just wanted to put chay in a bucket hat? yeah that's all i have. no ref. just my mind.
porsche's first paycheque present (fourth outfit) - the idea here was that after getting some money from the whole mafia thing, porsche buys this as a present for chay. maybe it's a dress chay's always looked at when they walk past it in a shop window? this is a slight tweak on this dress by alaia. the original's like £2k which i cannot picture porsche and chay spending on a dress but shhh it's fine.
post-kim
these are the outfits from after the whole kim debacle goes down. i just really wanted to draw goth chay. and really, who wouldn't?
break-up era #1 (first outfit) - at this point i was just having way too much fun. the pattern took for-fucking-ever on the skirt though, because i thought i'd just cheekily re-use the dungaree flower pattern with colour changes but oh no that didn't work at all. i had to edit it so much. the reference is here. here her hair is freshly dyed blue, and she's given herself a little heartbreak undercut. you go girl.
say no to drugs chay (second outfit) - this is what chay is wearing when kim points at that rando in the club who offers chay drugs. you see all of the goth reference images i was finding were just too clean-cut and employable, you know? so torn fishnets it was. the refence i found for this is here but i changed it up bc i couldn't see chay wearing a little nightdress to go clubbing no matter how heartbroken she was.
visiting mum (third outfit) - in this one, in my head, chay has dyed her hair back to normal, but she's still got the undercut, so she straightens her hair and pins a little of it over the short bit to try and appear a little more normal chay to her mum. very simple outfit, no refs.
family portrait (fourth outfit) - there's a part of me which delights in this implied scenario because i just think it's funny if chay and kim are posing for a family portrait with kinnporsche and chay's ready to ignore the fuck out of kim and pretend like she doesn't care about her staring but then kim is in full-hide-any-weakenesses mode because korn's there so now chay's the one staring. relationship status: it's very awkward. anyway fashion wise i wanted two things from chay's outfit: for it to be simpler than any of the theerapanyakuls' and for it to be in a lighter shade of porsche's colour (blue). the reference was this cool dress i found on pinterest.
[exhales] is that everything? i think that's everything. obligatory tag for @yeetlegay bc i know they like to see the fem!kinnporsche content.
big shoutout to mort (tagged earlier), @antique-forvalaka, @luckydragon10, and @dr-lemurr for art troubleshooting and cheerleading duties.
everything was drawn in clip studio paint, which i cannot recommend enough. if you want more detailed info abt that side of things, send me an ask.

@literalite uhm excuse me, are you sure it's legal to post works of literal ART here??? and without a warning? For real your edits are a spiritual experience and your sims feel more like actual people
@moonsyrups I've been seeing your pip legacy posts and !!!! i cannot express how much i love them, they feel so dreamy i want to be in them so bad, everything is so vibrant yet so soft, it's soooo good
@elmleif your postcard legacy challenge is so easy to love!!! Cillian and Saoirse are such a cute couple and Weston and Rowan... I have no words for them I just want them to life the happiest of lives.
@briteboy I already told you that my brain specifically remembered your posts from when I was around years ago, and i have reasons for it. Your posts are so cinematic and your characters are memorable (i was so happy to see santi again btw)
@softpine the emotional damage i get when i see your posts is equal to the happiness they give me ironically. Your story feels like it should be studied in literature classes and the things you create for it, wow, you're so talented!

@tropetember #5: famous au
outlast trials ♡ mother gooseberry ♡ prerelationship ♡ second person pov ♡ ofc ♡ ao3
Saying you are nervous would be an understatement. That's all right, you're not saying anything and no one is asking anyway. The questions will come later and you cannot wait to detail today's design with its accessories. You are great at your job, which should be no surprise given how much you like it. And how much you like her.
Phyllis Futterman is a lot of things; a successful TV host, a functional addict and the best employer you've had in your life. More importantly, though, she's your own personal nightmare today. Strongwilled, eclectic and with no regard for your education or skill in dressmaking, these wardrobe sessions are something you've come to look forward to as much as you dread them. You don't often get to rant on about fashion like this and she makes for an attentive, if often critical, audience. It's intense enough when you do this at the studio, surrounded by the rest of the team, and this is the first time she's coming to the newly acquired atelier. Your newly acquired atelier, because that's how good the show is going. It's, of course, in the corporation's name; but she's given you free range to set up shop. When she does things like this you think she might have a sliver of professional respect for you. As she gave you the news, though, she'd offered to get at least part time staff, in case you found it overwhelming, eyes glinting patronisingly. Of course you raised to the bait, biting out the type of reply that has her wondering why would anyone ever think Brits are polite outloud.
As she rushes in today clad in one of your works, a side smile breaks through when you see her despite yourself. You do good work. She wears it even better. You serve an early tea while showing her your sketches, and she's vocal about both your hits and what she considers your misses. She objects vehemently to a tulip sleeved new look dress the colour of gooseberries.
'That green is nasty.'
'It pairs well with the red in the headpiece, it's simple colour theory!'
'Gooseberry?' she leans over your notes. 'I didn't take you for the literal type.'
'I figured Americans like slapstick so much, let's not bother with any intricate symbolism.'
'It's too muted for a kid's show.'
Her voice is calm, refusing to acknowledge your words, and she is, ultimately, right. Maybe that's why you're spitting mad about it. Then again, it's always been easy for her to get a raise out of you. She turns the pages while you sulkily pour yourself more tea, and examine her expression from the corner of your eye. She's got such a commanding presence it's hard not to be put off when she dislikes something you've invested so much time into. You've been having fourteen hour days, trying to get the workshop together in record time all by yourself. And you do want her recognition. She's a remarkable artist and her show is on the rise, fresh off the war. Would it kill her to reciprocate an ounce of the regard you hold for her, as an entrepreneur? Unaware of your thoughts, she continues to flip through the lookbook. Or not.
'Don't pout. It's just the business'
'I'm not.'
'Brat.'
That catches you by surprise so much the scowl you give is only halfhearted. But it shouldn't, really. She's prone to flying into character, specially when you're working on this.
'Your pretty mouth in your pretty face would make a pretty smile.' She says, singsongy.
You huff, not as annoyed as you should be, and make a point of showing as many of your teeth as you can, lips tight in an unnatural expression. She shakes her head, amused. 'Are you serious, about the pants in a children's show?'
'Well, if it's all bad you can set it aflame.' you give a disinterested shrug. But you were, and tried to make them as feminine as possible to get around that.
She gets up and for a second you're sure you've finally exasperated her. It's a thrilling thought; part of you has been working for it since the job interview. Part of you is devastated. But she doesn't make to start a fire, or stalk out of the room like anyone should after almost an hour of your attitude. She sits down next to you, and you feel your breath hitch.
'Do you know why I hired you?'
You look down, unable to stop an embarrased flush from rising on your face. Shake your head once. And the truth is you don't. You've got a difficult personality, no American accreditations and a penchant for last decade's fashion. An ugly weight sets on your throat, and she forces you to look at her with a firm hand under your chin. You should get up and walk away, because otherwise you might start crying, and that's gonna make the rest of your antics look incredibly professional by comparison.
'Words.'
'No, I don't.' Your voice is clipped but even.
'You couldn't stop arguing with me during our meeting, and I knew you'd bring me designs I'd hate.' You try to look away, but she brings her other hand up, holding you with more strength than you expected. 'I knew you'd make clothes that had no place in this line of business.'
'I'm-' you hate apologising, but the truth is you're quite argumentative. 'I'm sorry.'
'If I wanted you to be sorry I wouldn't have hired you.'
'What?'
'You have ideas, ideas that anyone would dismiss as improbable, but you're set on them. I wanted to know how far you'd go I still do.' She sighs, resembling a weary mother so much it might make you cry had you had one. 'And of course I don't think it's all bad.'
You close your eyes, and manage to even out your breath. You don't know how to thank her, or for what even, so you deflect. 'So,' your voice is raspy now and you clear your throat before continuing. 'So what you said about the green...?'
'Awful.' Despite that, she looks fond as she shakes her head, releases you. Can't win them all, you figure. 'Terrible. Now, are you going to show me the dummies, or what have you even been doing here all week?'

okay will you please share your sims screenshots of fics? <3<3
be warned, you have just opened the floodgates for me to overexplain every decision.......... under the cut for the sake of how insufferable i am
HWFG!!!!
starting off with Here I Go Again (mamma mia au for anyone unfamiliar). now i actually have a lot more than what i'm showing here but let's say they're... more prequel focused. and thus. kinda spoilery... but they may come later!!! anyway
Tumblr media
just picture slipping through my fingers playing and you can tell exactly what's happening here <3
Tumblr media
SAY I DOOOOO... I DO I DO I DO I DO I DOOOO
Tumblr media
and a bonus, non-spoilery prequel type - silena, annabeth and piper out partying in the world's hottest girl summer ever
moving swiftly and embarrassingly onto my url namesake, the beloved miss beryl. i chose the best of what i have which is admittedly SO MUCH
Tumblr media
this one is my FAVOURITE okay let me explain (though - obvious). left is 1979 (age 20) beryl: playful, flirty, youthful. retaining some of the country aesthetic from where she grew up. modelling a lot around this time, beer ads, cars, that sort of thing. anything that required a hot blonde in a bikini or white shirt. this is also the year (in my fic) that she has an agent, sends out headshots regularly and is not against using her feminine wiles to get roles. middle is 1986ish (age 27) beryl: full blown celebrity of the 1980s. glamorous, sexy, demanding. big hair, tan skin. many many magazine covers, tons of movies. she is hollywood. this is how she meets zeus, and later has thalia. right is 1993 (age 34) beryl: the year she wins her oscar, gets back with jupiter, and has jason. she's slightly thinner and paler in this one, with lighter hair, following with the vampy 90s look, swapping red lips for brown. career definitely at a high but the rest of her life beginning the downward spiral.
Tumblr media
here's a better look (bad quality SO SORRY) at the differences in makeup, skin and eyebrows (though this was before i lightened the hair) to get a feel of the differences between 80s (left) and 90s (right) beryl.
Tumblr media
and, for fun, two party looks.
now prepare for an entire lookbook because i have a problem!!! remember you asked for this... if only you knew. as always, left is 80s, right is 90s.
Tumblr media
(everyday category) big shoulders, big jewellery, vs vampy, almost soft-goth.
Tumblr media
(formal category) award show chic! a lot more ostentatious for the 80s side but fully glamorous both ways.
Tumblr media
(athletic category) definitely took inspiration from like, 80s celebrity fitness tapes (lbr i mean cher) for the left, and then the sporty bright colours of the 90s.
Tumblr media
(nightwear category) pretty simple, standard. a big robe for either if someone is at the door.
Tumblr media
(party category) some of my FAVE looks. an 80s LBD with big hair, and a clueless-inspired ensemble <3 ugh i love playing dress up can you tell...
Tumblr media
(swimwear category) no comment just me being obsessed with sims custom content.
Tumblr media
(hot weather category) one thing about me is i am OBSESSED w the like, 80s supermodel in just a thin white tee and shorts look. it's SO good. i can't pull it off being too breasty but it's stunning so ofc that. and a sweeter, softer 90s look to follow.
Tumblr media
(cold weather category) this 80s one is my FAVOURITE possible of them all? something about the brown colour pallette and the big loose shapes and layering is very 80s movie to me, like this is always how they look in the films and probably how she did too! the 90s is more playful and cooler tones, shifting into different trends.
that's all i have that's worthy of being seen I SAY AS IF I DIDN'T JUST WRITE AN ESSAY... um yeah i have a sims addiction and being a writer i love making my own fanart this way it's so dumb and entertaining. anyway, hope you enjoyed lol, probably more to come later.

My JP Visit (Starting with this most recent one)
Tumblr media
There are times where I'm visiting JP Ship 2, the ship in the JP servers that started my PSO2 journey. Of course.... the account I use isn't what I started with... So backstory...
Sometime a bit after the Xbox E3 announcement that PSO2 would come to the west with the Xbox One, and then later Windows 10, I downloaded PSO2 on my PS4. At the time, I didn't have a PC that can run it because I was using my dad's pc cause my old PC was being weird with heating and stuff. That, and my dad's PC's hard drive at the time was dying, so PC was not an option to me back then.
Whether it was on PC or PS4, I was set to move from JP to Global when the PC version released, so I stuck around till that faitful day. Of course, I did do the predownload, so it got some additional time for me to play more of PSO2JP, and then uninstall it when I start Global, or NA as it was called back then.
On PS4, back then, I used what was called "Simple Login", which skipped logging into a SEGA ID account, and pretty much bound my PSN account as the login. As such, I no longer have access to that account anymore today, cause of the IP block on NGS, that and VPNs don't quite exist on PS4.
On PC, sometime back, wither this year or last year, I finally use that SEGA ID I initially made to use on PS4. Using the Tweaker, as that's the only way I'll be able to get in the JP servers today, I made a new account called "GL_Emil" and attempted to recreate Emil, my main, as she currently looked like in Global at that time. Since at that time Slayer wasn't released, I stuck with Braver. Then now recently, I am transitioning my main class to Slayer. I am struggling, cause... well... lack of good gear will do that, but I'm enjoying the challenge that's given to me.
Currently, as of this blog post, and it's long, I am in the Sita Region, trying to get through the Driesen Plant to do some Yellows, probably, to level up Slayer more.
So the main question...
Why did I visit JP after so long in the first place?
Well... If you want my honest opinion, it was to see if my older account, that's the same name as my currently Global account, is still there, and surprisingly, the Lookbook is. Which is a start, so it's still there. I also came to visit some friends from Phasion Arks. I don't go on JP much, but it's nice to get that nostalgic feeling again, despite now seeing things in a different way since JP and Global are all different. O.o
When I moved from PSO2JP, it was before Luster was released. So when Luster was released, and brought to Global, I was in unfamiliar territory, that and my Global self long since overtaken my JP self. So it's a good idea to let JP "Emil Sato" rest and have a visiting "Emil" come by and visit some friends.
Also she looks similar to younger Emil, before I made her look older, because I didn't have all the stuff needed to make older Emil. So in a sense, I could do a lore thing where Emil was dreaming of being in another reality or something. Ehh... who knows.

I have at least 47 questions that could be posed. Here are some of them:
Can I change my name from atrociousphish to something you would recognize?
Pretend I have NO social media presence other than this tumblr account I just created. Does that count as a question?
Do you think I created this account with the SOLE PURPOSE of reading your work without subscribing to the Globe?
What if God walked into your house in human form and started swearing just for the sheer fun of defying expectations? Would you invite her to stay for dinner?
Why do they keep Boston so goddamn far away from Portland?
Do they still have Emack and Bolios?
If you had, say, 3 children, might they ALL be giants? (asking for a friend with children who are way too tall)
Favorite sandwich?
Did you know that NOT watching SNL was WAY ahead of its time?
How bad was that cold snap?
Do you really think I'm going to come up with 47 questions?
More importantly, do you think I'll remember to check tumblr ever again? I kinda hope so!
When was the last time you rode the T?
Do you still reserve 30 minutes for writing every night? Or is it more now? Or is it less now?
17. This is question 17, right?
Did you get that Pomona lookbook link? Kristina (Foley) posted this:
Tumblr media
19. Pretty awesome, right? :) Look at those two! :)
Nineteen is like 47 today, 'cause that's where I'm gonna stop. If you don't know who this is, you should alert the tumblr police.
20. Are there tumblr police?
This is delightful and I miss you. And also, you had me (knowing who you are) at 47. There was just no way it was anyone else.
And that photo is awesome. Look at us. And I haven’t done that lookbook thing yet, but if you are on there, I’m in.
And why DO they keep Boston so far away from Portland? It doesn’t make a lot of sense, practically. I don’t even know if Emack and Bolio’s still exists. I haven’t ridden the T for a couple of years, alas. D works in the city and so does not want to visit it during any of his time off. I still love it there. What to do? Go on my own, one might say. But who do I meet at Cafe Joy, if it is even still there?
My children are not all giants. Two of them are mighty big, with one of them being the tallest thing we have. The third one is smaller than I am by a couple of inches but personality-wise and power-wise, she is huge. She just did a semester in London where theater people with British accents trained her to not be afraid of her own power and to take up space. Now, watch out. I am so interested that your boys are giants. I miss them. They look like such nice people in the photos.
I read that some movie theater tickets now cost $16.50. No, they don’t! They cost $5 to me forever, because that is what you and I used to pay most of the time, I think. I haven’t been to a movie theater in a long time, either, but that is okay.
If God came into my house and started swearing, I would be delighted. And He would be in good company among my kids. Not that they are here. God could fill in.
How bad was that cold snap? Bad enough that I thought your thing about it, the one involving witches. It really was. I’m guessing.
Not watching SNL — that’s funny. I am still ahead of the curve in that department. Or right alongside the curve?
Favorite sandwich lately: Fake BLT. Well the B is fake. The L is real. The T is real. So is the mayo and the bread. Maybe I should call it a Mostly Real BLT. You?
I am not, I’m sorry to say, still writing for 30 minutes a day. I spend so much time and energy on the Globe work that I don’t have the oomph left for other creative stuff. I’m milked! But maybe someday I will do that again. It is a good way to keep going.
I am really touched that you would make an account just to see my work. You can do that here, because then I might be able to see that you have seen my work. OR I also post all my stuff on my website, which is just my big old three-car train of a name plus the dot com. Or you can ignore my work altogether. As long as you are my friend, I don’t need anything else from you. I’m so glad you are my friend.
I send you and your whole crew love. Thank you for making me happy by making this account and writing me so many questions, atrociousphish. Would know you anywhere by any name! Or, you know, by one number.

My finished looklook: Evaluation
I like my front and pack pages because I think they represent my trend as they remain minimalistic, but are also mood-boosting and eye-catching. The direct contrast between the swirls and the harsh lines of the staircase encapsulates my trend because it's about two elements working together in harmony. To improve these pages I would increase the size of the text so it's clearer, and edit the back page by balancing it out with two smaller models rather than having one placed off centre. I think I could have extended the swirly lines even further on the back page to finish it off nicer and solidify my theme that I've had running all the way through.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think my narrative page is successful because it clearly shows my colour palette and it has dimension because of the purple lines which look like they are coming off of the page. My architecture images adds to the mood of my trend because it shows structured shapes in a colourful and exciting way like the garments. The garments on this page instantly give an insight to my key shapes and fabrics to keep it consistent across my whole lookbook. One way I would edit this page if I was going to do this again is the change the layout of this page, because my design in the middle might get lost when printing. I edited the colour wrapping around the photo to make it bigger so that it should be seen more, but I would try and find a way so that my design doesn't get disrupted in the middle. I think my body text is successful because it gives a general summary of my trend discussing key garments, colours and shapes. If I could improve this page I would like add something else such as in image or text to fill the space at the bottom. I think I should have edited the colour underneath the text to ensure it can all be seen clearly, as the M is slightly cut off.
Tumblr media
I think my key garment shapes and colour palette is successful because it combines them both in a way that flows. I think I have chosen key shapes that are shown throughout my lookbook so that they are clearly communicated, and are an accurate representation of my trend. Ive also added some primary images to show some fabrics that I have found myself to show what my key fabrics look like. To improve this page i's try to use different images that are better quality and zoomed in closer so that the texture of the fabric is really clear. Id also edit the subheadings listing the fabrics to incorporate them on the page better so that they are still readable but don't stand out as much. I think my colour headings are successful because they are clear to read and look effective but I think I should have made it clearer which name links to each colour.
Tumblr media
I think my key shapes page is successful because I present all of my key shapes throughout my lookbook on four models. The subheadings are easy to read and are placed next to the garment so they're easily communicated. I have included some other images of a key fabric (linen) in between the swirls and in the circle which is good as it is a way to communicate some fabrics on this page as well as the ket materials page. I think the page matches the others and flow well, because the colours are the same and it has architecture to go along with the theme. I think it communicates my trend because it gives the key shapes, some materials and colour on one page, and the fluid shapes and the architecture add to the mood to show the fluidity mixed with ridged shapes, like how the structured garments are more relaxed with the fit of the garment and the colour. To improve this page I would edit or change the image on the right side underneath the model because it mostly gets covered, it's difficult to see the shapes and understand what it is.
Tumblr media
Overall, I think my lookbook fits the brief because it contains the key materials, garment shapes and colour palette, and the narrative of my trend is presented all the way through. I've presented good use of image manipulation in Photoshop and accurate use of Indesign in this project. If my lookbook was going to be used in industry, I would develop it by adding more pages to the trend can be communicated even clearer, as well as and show a better display and quantity of key fabrics so a company would be completely sure about what kinds of fabrics they would need to buy for the upcoming season. I would also update it with a page displaying key designs and patterns to give a brand more information.

Hi Madi, I hope you’re having a good day!
I’m forever obsessed with how detailed your content is, and I can tell it takes so much time and effort to create it. With that said how do you manage posting everyday?
Do you schedule posts? If so how far in advance do you plan your content? Do you block out time and how do you balance it with other existing tasks like work, school, etc? Overall, I just want to know what goes on behind the scenes. I’ve been thinking of taking my account more seriously however time is such a big issue for me and I’m interested in hearing how other creators such as yourself handle it or any workarounds or recommendations you could provide.
Thank you so much for answering!
Hi gorgeous, I hope you are having a lovely day as well!
Thank you so much for your kind words first of all, they are very much appreciated! As for content, posting everyday is not for the faint of heart as sometimes it can become quite draining, but I love the commitment I've made to doing it. I'm so proud to say I've done it for nearly a year and a half with technically no days off considering even while I am on holiday, I have posts going up while gone.
BUT, I do not recommend this method at all for most simmers because if you are someone who suffers with burnout easily or frequently, this will severely hurt your creative output. However, I do recommend posting frequently because I am a firm believer that consistency is one of the top ways to build a beautiful community.
I do schedule my posts, and currently I have a whole month queued out as I will be going on holiday for a while at some point in the coming months, so I've been prepping! And usually when I am prepping content, a lot of the motivation and drive comes at night, so I could push out maybe 4 lookbooks in one evening, and that covers me for 4 days. Sometimes it's only 1, other days like a week ago I made like 8 in an evening. It all comes down to creative drive and inspiration with that in mind.
If you wish to start taking content more seriously, there truly is no "right" method because everyone's journeys are so different. But my formula was posting every single day and trying to be as active as possible with the community as a whole.
At the end of the day, you need to find a method/formula that works for you because my method may not work for you for reasons stated prior. I recommend searching for what fits your schedule and creative drive, and see if you can expand on it! I wish you the best of luck in this community when you do decide to take simblr more seriously.
But one last rule. JUST HAVE FUN, that's all we're doing here!

What do I want to achieve this year?
I know we often see blogs with the achievements they wanna do this year and it’s so cheesy, but I wanna preface by saying that I have always been so intimidated by these people because they always listed down the biggest tasks such as saving up a lot of money, losing a lot of weight, meanwhile normal people know that it is much easier to save up a lot of weight and lose a lot of money.
So, I wanted to lay down some actual challenging yet also achievable goals. Some of these goals can be very specific but…this is also kind of my list in my own blog.
Start and finish a commonplace book/journal
I'm not a consistent person when it comes to making journals, however I have been trying to put myself into a state of mind where I start reading again. It’s a lot for me to even start reading again because I’ve just been so busy with life to the point, I find it pointless to even start a book because every few minutes I just stand up and do something else.
I'm the type of person who binge reads and binge journals. I put all my time and all my effort in a specific time slot to get myself situated and ready to create/read something, but when you’re a core member/facilitator/big sister/daughter of a disabled mother/honour roll student, you don’t really get that luxury of being able to just sit down. I find it really hard to spend time on myself, in fact that’s why I’m even considering going back to blogging on a regular weekly basis. I wanna finish something and be proud of it.
Focus more on my studies
Has anyone ever heard of the saying “don’t let schooling get in the way of your education”? Because if you have, chances are…you already know what I’m going to say. From personal experience, I find that school is a great way of introducing me to a topic, however it is not a good way for me to learn. I learn a lot more by self study and by interactions with other people. I have focused a lot on my school life and it has gotten in the way of things that I really like pursuing such as learning about economics, practising art anatomy, and teaching myself how to become a leader. All of these things, I often study and actively try to teach myself but due to the large amount of academic and school works, it has become quite a bother on my own education.
In this year, I wanna focus on self growth, thus I’m making room for self-education. I'm going to lessen some work load on my hands, if a project no longer feels like it's a good idea, then I’ll simply leave it. This year, I want good results, if not better.
Table at a convention
Tabling at a convention with my products, my art, and all that jazz…it has been a dream of mine ever since I stepped foot inside a convention hall. My very first con, I told my friend that we should get a table and sell at a convention hall. I feel like I’ve grown much as an artist, and though I know I still have plenty to learn, I think it would be about time for me to get in there.
Though I do a lot of illustrations and cute drawings, I also sell other stuff like earrings and bracelets! I have a few ideas on what to sell and I’ll even make a product list if anyone asks for it, but essentially…I just have a lot of stuff to sell aka I have a lot of things I need to get rid of. I would love to do a table this year, and I would be down to participate in anything like that.
Build myself a LookBook
I have always been a big fashion person and I have gone through a lot of phases with my style, however ever since I started going to the thrift market and referencing a ton of “clean girl” looks, I’ve realised a big part of my style revolves on that fact that I might be someone’s grandma. I wanna make myself a LookBook aka I have to face my fear of taking pictures in public and actually take photos of myself. I wanna really hammer it into myself that I’m going to have to start accepting that I look like what I look like. This is a big project for me to finally start practising my body neutrality and to find a lot of peace in how I'm perceived.
Get my average higher
So…technically speaking, my average is already high. In fact my average is 1.2 during my last two semesters, and in our grading system…the total 100 perfect is a Flat 1. So to be complete about it, my grades are not bad at all. However, due to a mistake in my last sem…I got a 1.35 average and to me this was an atrocity. I would not honestly let that slide, if not for the fact that I worked hard to fix that grade, I worked perfectly. Day and Night, I did so the fact that I didn’t get the grade I wanted, it made me see red.
So this year, to rectify my mistake, I’ve taken it upon myself to actually try. To study and to submit all of my work properly. I could not risk it again and I will certainly never do so again, so this is to hoping I get a really high grade soon
After all those resolutions, this year my main goal is to be a better version. I think almost everyone always wants that, to just be a better person. To get better, to do better, to be better. It’s so easy to say and to put into a mantra but being better just takes so much hard work that when you do try to be a better person, everyone seems to try to mess you up.
But that is what life is about and I want to enjoy it while I’m in my prime. I’m only 19 and I’ll be 20 this year. I wanna show who I can be, I wanna show everyone what I can be. I know this year will be tough, but when was any year ever any easier?

Why Are Hoodies So Popular
Hoodies are one of the most popular pieces of clothing on the market today. They're comfy, stylish, and easy to wear. But why are hoodies so popular? Hoodies are trendy, comfortable, and versatile. They come in various styles and colors, and they are perfect for casual wear or even formal occasions.
People love hoodies because they are warm, cozy, and practical. The hoodie has become a staple piece of clothing for men and women alike. In addition, hoodies are great for wearing over jackets and sweaters. They’re super affordable too, which is exceptional compared to other types of clothes.
In this article, we’ll explore the reasons hoodies are so popular and how you can wear them in a variety of ways.
A Brief History of the Hoodie
The hooded sweatshirts, or “hoodies” we know now, were first created in the 1930s by the Knickerbocker Knitwear company, which later became the brand Champion. They sold hoodies to cold-storage warehouse laborers to protect them from freezing temperatures.
Hoodies first gained popularity in the hip-hop and skateboarding communities in the 1980s. They’re seen to rebel against the mainstream and are often worn by people who were considered to be outsiders.
Over the years, hoodies have become more mainstream, but they still maintain their cool, edgy reputation. Today, people of all ages and backgrounds wear hoodies and they are a staple in many people’s wardrobes.
Whether you’re looking for a cozy option for a chilly day or a stylish piece to add to your outfit, a hoodie is always a good choice.
Why Hoodies Are So Popular Today
There are many reasons hoodies are so popular today. First, they are comfortable. They make hoodies out of soft, cozy materials like cotton or fleece, which make them perfect for lounging around the house or running errands on a chilly day. They are also easy to throw on and take off, which makes them ideal for busy people on the go.
Another reason hoodies are so popular is that they are very versatile. You can dress hoodies up or down, depending on the occasion. They look great with a pair of jeans and sneakers for a casual outfit, or they’re worn over a dress or collared shirt for a more put-together look.
Hoodies also come in a variety of colors and styles, so you can find one to match any outfit. There are hoodies with a zipper, hoodies with a drawstring, and even ones that have no closure at all. The best part is that these clothes come in all unique designs and sizes, so you can find one to suit your style.
Hoodies are popular because they are comfortable, fashionable, and affordable. Many hoodies are low-priced, which makes them a great value for money.
5 Ways to Style a Hoodie

I'm not sure what simblr's general opinion on this is, but peeking back in after my long hiatus, I have a lot of thoughts...
In my opinion, Patreon killed all of the momentum that ts4 simblr had pre-2020. I think we all know a lot of the bigger issues- permanent paywalls, creators doxxing and bullying, cliqueing up and sharing info- but I mean even besides that. I mean specifically early access, two to three week delays for releasing cc, the version of paywalling that most people (including myself) accepted.
It's good that creators were able to get paid for their work, especially during the pandemic. But I think, unfortunately, it had other effects too. I remember back then, being disappointed at how much was eacc, and that was only like 25% of the cc coming out, and it (almost) always was popular creators with high quality work. But slowly but surely, nearly everyone moved to patreon (which I've noticed has caused a lot of cc to be forever lost once patreons were closed/deleted) and 99% of the time it was early access or even exclusive. Many people started blogs with early access cc from the get-go, without having a presence beforehand, and those blogs seemed to be some of the most focused on blocking anyone that shared their cc. The cc varied in quality- it could be simple mesh edits that were still mostly ea, or recolors, or even just patterns sourced from other sites. It didn't matter what it was, it was just content for money, anything to pad out the month and keep patrons. Creators would do early access and then link the cc through adfly or to TSR or simsdom/simsfinds, one by one, even if it was supposed to be a pack. It wasn't bad enough to call out, but it was purposeful.
CC on tumblr became a business in a way it hadn't before, even with other paysites in sims history. And while some people are happy to donate to creators they like now and again... most people either can't or won't. Many simmers are children, and many simmers are adults with strict budgets, especially during the pandemic. And truth be told... they probably got bored. Because it's all terribly boring. CC shopping isn't fun anymore. It's the briefest serotonin seeing something interesting on your dash and then instantly flying away when you see you'll have to wait almost a month for it. And if it wasn't a creator I really liked, I forgot about it instantly after that... sometimes even if I really liked them. Motivation dropped. People stopped being excited, and stopped playing.
Nowadays, it seems even worse. Because the amount and variety of cc and creators has dropped drastically. I'm shocked to see 2-3 cc posts per day, if that, most of them paywalled. It isn't just cc posts either- used to you couldn't look in the s4cc tag for cc, it would be so crowded with non-cc sims posts, but now it's depressingly easy... and empty. Lookbooks, edits, gameplay, cc, it all seems more sparing. And you don't see the same creativity, the same fun random little items, stuff that was interesting even if it wasn't necessarily perfect. Or wild ideas or cc that would appeal to certain small niches. Because that isn't profitable, is it? When you need to create a certain amount of items per month at a certain quality to keep patrons and therefore income, you have to strategize, for good or for bad. Some people are able to do that, and while good for their business model, it limits what they can create and how much energy they can spend on each item. Some people aren't able to do it, and burn out and leave. Either way, creativity suffers. Enjoyment suffers. Creators leave from the passion being sucked out of their hobby; non-creators leave from frustration and boredom. And you're left with a handful of creators still going by their cc business playbook, month by month. But how long can those few sustain themselves?
It's natural for communities to ebb and flow, or even completely die out, but ts4 simblr had been going strong for years before this overall, even if it was in waves. In the pandemic, it should've flourished the way other many other communities did, especially gaming focused ones. But, it didn't. Instead it slowed down, more people left than the amount coming in, the engagement died down, and it seems like as a whole custom content hasn't advanced at all. Maybe it would've happened anyway, but I honestly think patreon contributed a lot. Also, ts2 and ts3 communities weren't affected in the same way, afaik, which makes me think it was paywalls even more.
Can it be fixed? Maybe. If paywalls weren't as much of a thing anymore- and I don't mean completely gone, but just a fairer ratio- I think it could. But now that it's become a standard, I doubt that will happen. I think most people have moved to other places where they don't have to deal with it, like discord servers, and simblr will continue to lose momentum.
It's good for creators to have the option of getting some income for their work, but I guess I'm just saying... at what cost? Beyond the monetary? If you're not super popular, are you even making enough for the added stress to be worth it? If you are, is this going to be satisfying and maintainable long-term, without burn-out/effects on your mental health? Who will pay for it when the number of players keeps dropping? And will this continue on to the Sims 5 community in the future? I honestly hope not.
