I remember there was one person who was specifically looking forward to the voiced version of this song being posted, so I hope it was worth waiting for (^.^)

It feels like this song is one of the lesser known ones sung by the Keroro Platoon, a lot of those songs were used as the opening and ending credits, or were at least given more of a spot light in their episodes like the Birthday song, Keroly Night, Poi Poi The Keron Man, Omatase Pekopon Iccho even made a cameo in the manga, while you can barely hear this song in the movie

Choi Moo Ryong - 꿈은 사라지고 (The Dream Fades Away) (1958) (English Translation)

I think about this song and listen to it more than I probably should. Oh, how beautiful it is. The way it lifts and soars and the way it yearns for something I can't put in words. The melancholy and atmosphere of this 2 minutes 13 seconds song carries forward it's legacy as a pop music standard that has been covered by singers like Na Hoon Ah, Yang Hee Eun, Cho Young Nam, Moon Joo Ran, and many more.

This is also the first song by Choi Moo Ryong a.k.a (if you know my blog) Choi Min Soo's cheater-deadbeat ass dad that I heard and I was so surprised by the voice behind the man that has such a... reputation for all he's done. It's very smooth and shows signs of classical training. He has multiple albums full of songs, movie OSTs and title themes, and it's not all that bad. 외나무 다리 is another really pretty-sounding song, as is 원일의 노래.

Ah, too bad that all I hear when I hear these beautiful melodies is the voice of a man who could never man up and be responsible. Who saw women as nothing but objects to possess and throw away, and whose son - old enough to be a grandfather himself now - still longs for the parental, fatherly, role model figure in his life.

I wanted to translate the song either way, just go be able to understand the meaning behind it. It is the title theme of the movie of the same name, which also stars Choi Moo Ryong himself.

I'm planning to do more 60s-70s pop standard translations, just so I can come back and revel at the poetry.

l'amour impitoyable has to be one of the best orchestral movie soundtrack piece I've heard in a long long time, it's almost as good as Hans zimmer's work for interstellar.

the melody fits the fallen angel theme, like l=the soundtrack to Lucifer being cast out from heaven and wandering the deserts and seas of earth with nobody and nothing to his name.

The thing that was missing

It's been a little while since we had a song from the movie soundtrack, this one is from around the emotional climax of the film and I really love the deeper, more sincere feeling these sort of tracks have. Since getting back into the series, I've re-watched 3 of the 5 movies, but not in order, so this is actually the only one that's both on the CD and one that I've watched recently

Hopefully I'll have re-watched the other 2 by the time I next upload a song from this CD (^.^)
