Surely somebody else pointed this out but...

Mr Saguaro's classes are the only classes Arven attends. Of course it's probably because he wants to learn how to cook, but what if...

What if he saw him as the dad he never had? It might be something that not even Arven realises. He's such a funny, friendly person who cares about his students and, much like Miriam, he is always ready to welcome them in the cafeteria if they're feeling down or lost.

EDIT: I was flagged this is not the only class he follows, my mistake! I still like to think Arven might think of Mr Saguaro as a father figure, even if he's probably unaware of it.

Well, let's see...

He's very close to Saguaro, for obvious reasons. They're besties.

Jacq is like an older brother/uncle to him. They knew each other for years, since Clavell and Jacq worked together. Arven often went to work with them.

Arven is a big nerd so I guess he would get along pretty well with Raifort.

Tyme basically acts like a mom to him, always pinches his cheeks and smothers him with kisses and hugs everytime. Arven thinks it's embarrassing, Clavell thinks it's hilarious.

Miriam, Dendra and Salvatore are pretty chill with him but they all get along very well.

Hassel, well, he's 1# Dad for every students in the academy so I don't think I need to add anything.
