I always run into the mob when i try to enter the city from the west side im tensed up over it every time now hkdjfghakdfgj
flesh puppetry also feels weird to use solo unless you can start it before combat or something? I like watching the animation on the floating hands a lot though! they're so cute

“The unbosoming of an ugly duckling,” will be the title of all this nonsense. - Anne Frank, Friday 14th April 1944 Notes on 'The Diary of a Young Girl'
Saturday 19th February 1944 The giddy ups and downs of Anne Frank -
Tumblr media
Tuesday 7th March 1944 Anne Frank’s advice for those in a state of melancholy -
She’s such a little philosopher, breaking down the flaws in her mum’s advice. Bet she annoyed the pants off the others in the Secret Annex simply by thinking critically and trying to discuss things. That’s why they harassed her with criticisms so much.
Tumblr media
Thursday 23rd March 1944 Envious old guys tryna sabotage Anne & Peter, Peter blushing and Anne being shamelessly vain -
Tumblr media
Monday 27th March 1944 Every resident of the Secret Annex is crowded around the radio listening to Winston Churchill making a speech. '... I am wearing a nightdress, which is much too small, too narrow and too short.' Anne doesn't say how she feels about this situation. She does say that 'Peter's eyes are popping out of his head' but she attributes this to the strain of listening to the radio.
Tuesday 28th March 1944 I like it much better if he explains something to me than when I have to teach him; I would really adore him to be my superior in almost everything.' DO GIRLS WANT YOU TO MANSPLAIN OR NOT?!
Tumblr media
He longs to kiss you too, Anne. It's because he's afraid of rejection, embarrassment and shame.
Tuesday 4th April 1944 "Eva's Dream" is my best fairy-tale, and the queer thing about it is that I don't know where it comes from. Eva's Dream features a rose who is full of herself just like the flower in The Little Prince. The Little Prince had already been published but only six months before this diary entry and in America, not Europe, which means Anne couldn’t have read it.
Tuesday 11th April 1944 "Then they will find Anne's diary," added Daddy. "Burn it then," suggested the most terrified member of the party. This, and when the police rattled the cupboard door, were my worst moments. "Not my diary, if my diary goes, I go with it!" But luckily Daddy didn't answer. .......................... If we bear all this suffering and if there are still Jews left, when it is over, then Jews, instead of being doomed, will be held up as an example. Who knows, it might even be our religion from which the world and all peoples learn good, and for that reason and that reason only do we have to suffer now. We can never become just Netherlanders, or just English, or representatives of any country for that matter, we will always remain Jews, but we want to, too. ............................... For the remainder of this epic entry in her diary, Anne takes stock of herself and states some of her dreams for the future after the war is over. An indomitable spirit.
Friday 14th April 1944 "The unbosoming of an ugly duckling," will be the title of all this nonsense.
Sunday morning just before eleven o'clock, 16th April 1944 Poor darling Peter awkwardly fumbling his way towards kissing Anne on the ear. Anne in ecstasy.
Monday 17th April 1944 Dear Kitty, Do you think that Mummy and Daddy would approve of my sitting and kissing a boy on a divan - a boy of seventeen and a half and a girl of just under fifteen? I don't really think they would, but I must rely on myself over this. ............. To exchange our thoughts, that shows confidence, and faith in each other; we would both be sure to profit by it! Yours, Anne.
Wednesday 19th April 1944 It is so soothing and peaceful to feel his arms around me, to know that he is close by and yet to remain silent, it can’t be bad, for this tranquillity is good.
Friday 28th April 1944 First kiss on the lips.
Friday 5th May 1944 Anne shares what she intends to tell Daddy in defence of her right to go upstairs for a snog. Very forthright and long-winded. Poor Daddy. The next day, Pim (Daddy) reads it in a letter that Anne gives him and he's upset for the whole evening. Anne talks about it as if she's being grown up but I think she actually enjoys how much it upsets him, which is very childish. The day after that, Pim tells her how hurt he was by her words and Anne realises how obnoxious she's been and is ashamed of herself.
Wednesday 14th June 1944 Aged just 15, Anne works out the narcissistic defence mechanism that is projection and also understands how being far more self-critical than others has emotional and social consequences for her. She may be over-estimating how much of an inner life Peter has. He's not as brilliant as her and he may just simply not have those profound thoughts and feelings like she has -
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thursday 15th June 1944 It's not imagination on my part when I say that to look up at the sky, the clouds, the moon and the stars makes me calm and patient. It's a better medicine than either valerian or bromine; Mother Nature makes me humble and prepared to face every blow courageously.
Thursday 6th July 1944 I've so often thought how lovely it would be to have someone's complete confidence, but now, now that I'm that far, I realise how difficult it is to think what the other person is thinking and then to find the right answer.
Saturday 15th July 1944 I simply can't build up my hopes on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery, and death. I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, I hear the ever-approaching thunder, which will destroy us too, I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right, that this cruelty too will end, and that peace and tranquillity will return again. In the meantime, I must uphold my ideals, for perhaps the time will come when I shall be able to carry them out.
Friday 21st July 1944 With her second last diary entry, Anne is over-excited from optimism about the trajectory of the war and very jokey. So tragic.
Tuesday 1st August 1944 I can't keep that up: if I'm watched to that extent, I start by getting snappy, then unhappy, and finally I twist my heart round again, so that the bad is on the outside and the good is on the inside, and keep on trying to find a way of becoming what I would so like to be, and what I could be, if... there weren't any other people living in the world.
EPILOGUE As for the two girls, they had been sent to Bergen-Belsen in Germany two months before their mother's death. There Anne showed the same qualities of courage and endurance which had already made her noteworthy at Auschwitz. In February, 1945, both the sisters caught Typhus. One day Margot, who was lying in the bunk immediately above Anne's, seeking to rise, lost her hold and fell on to the floor. In her weakened state the shock killed her. Her sister's death did to Anne what all her previous sufferings had failed to do: it broke her spirit. A few days later, in early March, she died.
................................................
“I want to go on living even after my death! And therefore I am grateful to God for this gift, this possibility of developing myself and of writing, of expressing all that is in me. I can shake off everything if I write; my sorrows disappear; my courage is reborn. But, and that is the great question, will I ever be able to write anything great, will I ever become a journalist or a writer?” - Anne Frank
Anne, you were wonderful, lovely and amazing, a great writer and a great person, and you always will be.

Ilyena ‘Sunhair’ Therin Moerelle my beloved.
Like we know nothing about her but what’s implied makes me a little crazy.
She’s got three names which implies that she went to and graduated from Collam Daan university or maybe she even worked as a researcher there! Maybe that’s where she met Lews Therin and Demandred. Did she know Lanfear and the other future Forsaken who we know went there? Were they friends before everything went wrong? Did she know Mesaana and the fact her research grant got rejected???????
What made her choose Lews Therin over Demandred (before he turned to the Shadow) and did that affect her friendships with the others as badly as Lanfears and Lews breakup did? Also girl, if you saw the absolute bomb that would have been Lanfear and Lews breakup why would you get with Lews? How much did you love that man!
She was also probably an Aes Sedai and was probably a very powerful Aes Sedai. I don’t have any evidence of this but it feels right. Which also implies that she was a member of the Hall of Servants so what kind of conflict would have sprung up between her and Lews when that split came on how to end the war of power. We know that all the women sided against all the men (bit odd Mr Jordan but ok). So why did she choose to side against her husband? What was that thing that finally pushed her to stand against him.
Which implies that Ilyena was an active participant in the War of Power. Whether as a fighter in the field for the forces of the light or as more of a backseat general she must have been busy, probably fighting Lanfear, but the Lady must have used Bale fire at least once I feel it in my soul.
And what kind of effect would that have had her and Lews relationship? The impact on there family? And is the war what finally pushed them apart enough that they found themselves with opposing ideas of how to save the world, unable to reconcile them. Is that what pushed Lews to seal the bore anyway without the approval of the Hall, his wife and probably without telling Ilyena anything?
And most importantly how did she react to Lews madness after going through all of that together and there possibly being such a rift between them?
Idk I just think that she’s such a cool character and could have been so much and had so much more to her than just being Lews Therins wife that he cry’s over.

In our Bengali tradition, there is a saying that during sidoor-daan, the ritual when the groom draws the sindoor rekha on the bride’s forehead,during then if the red dust falls on the bride’s nose bridge, it means the bride is blessed  with a happy marriage.
So, while drawing this, inspired by THE ICONIC SCENE (you know which scene) from the movie, I just had to draw that little detail 🙈

Knokke Off ep 1 ENG transcript
Episode 1: Welcome to Knokke, bitch!
Eleonore: Alex? Alex! Alex? Alex? Hey, Alex! Hey, dear. I’m here. Alex, come on! Did you take something?!
Alex: I didn’t take anything, no.
E: Then why did I have to come here straight away?
A: They know.
E: What do they know?
?: Alex?! Alex?!
KNOKKE OFF
[A couple of weeks earlier]
A: Stay.
Earphones: Take some time for a meditative run. In a place where you can run in peace, and where you can run back and forth at least a couple of meters. On a meditative run you will focus on the act of running itself, not on where you’re running to. It’s about being present for every step, for every breath. You’ll focus on every step of your foot, your left, and back to your right. You will notice your breathing. If there are other objects or impressions that come into your field of consciousness […]
Melissa [Dutch accent]: Oh, sure, grandpa. What are you doing?! Are you just going to…
Earphones: […] you don’t have to pay them any special mind.
M: I’m not going to wait for you, grandpa! You should’ve thought about this before!
Daan [Dutch accent]: What was that?
M: A way too expensive car.
Earphones: You can just continue running. And to end this exercise, come to a stop.
Louise’s sister: Dad, left or right?
[Louise’s mom speaking French]
Louise’s dad: But you already have a dress?
Sister: I want another one. And?
Louise: 18,5 in one hour and twenty minutes.
Sister: Great job.
Mom [in French]: You don’t understand! My daughter… [in Dutch:] Can you grab a quick shower, baby? [In French] My daughter, the bride, will be the only one dressed in white. Right, and the guests will all be dressed in different colors. Okay, there we go, that’s right. Okay. So…
Dad: Bye.
L: See you tonight.
Mom [in French]: No, no.
Mom: Your pills.
L: Yeah.
Mom: Don’t forget them, okay?
L: I won’t.
Camping lady [Dutch accent]: Thank you, m’am. That’ll be 720 € please.
M: One hundred, two hundred, three hundred, four, five, six… Daan, do you have 120 € for your mom?
D: No.
M: I just have to grab some from the car.
Camping lady: Okay. Come here a sec, boy. I’m only telling you this once. At the first sign of any problems, I’m throwing you out.
D: M’am, I don’t want to be on this fucking campground at all. So don’t worry about it.
M: And 120.
Camping lady: Okay, thank you. Well, Mrs. Van Lieshout, then I’ll just wish you a pleasant stay here at Cadzand-Bad.*
M: I’m sure we’ll enjoy it. Thank you.
D: Mrs. Van Lieshout?
M: Yeah. What a weird bitch, right?
 E: Of course we’ll be coming over later.
Christine [Dutch accent]: Great. Margaux is just labeling the Fontana. Patrick is still interested, right?
E: Yes. 99 % sure. He just wants to see it in real life.
C: Of course. See you later. Bye, bye, babe.
E: Good morning.
A: Good morning.
E: Olivia? Hello?!
Olivia: Weren’t you going to the hairdresser?
E: What was that?
O: Weren’t you going to the hairdresser?
E: Oh, yeah, but all of a sudden I didn’t feel like it anymore. I went to the bakery.
O: Did you bring cupcakes?
E: Yes. And mini pastries. Where’s daddy?
O: I don’t know.
E: Where’s dad? And nanny Isabelle?
A: Yeah, I obviously don’t know.
E: Patrick?! Pa- Yeah, come on. I know she’s in here!
Patrick: What?
E: Isabelle? Come here a sec, come. I know you’re in here. Isabelle? Isabelle? Isabelle?!
A: Mom, she’s here.
Isabelle: M’am?
E: I’ve had it up to here with you, Isabelle. I would really like for you to pack your stuff.
I: I’m sorry, but what did I…?
E: Didn’t you hear me, or what?
A: Please.
E: Alex. I never want to see you again.
I: But, m’am… Sir, please.
P: You heard my wife.
 M: So, what do you think?
D: It’s…
M: Super nice, right?
D: Yeah.
M: Look, a little grill. Look. The bathroom’s pretty big! It’s kind of a nice shower! Oh, this room is even bigger! This is super relaxed! Look at this, a mirror, a little desk. You can sit here with your photography thing and stuff. Hey, Daan. Are you out of money?
D: No, no. It’s just that someone still owes me 300 €.
 A: Mom. Listen…
E: I don’t want to hear it. I really don’t.
 D: Okay, mom, I’m leaving.
M: Good luck! Do you have everything? Your phone?
D: Yeah.
M: Yeah?
D: Yeah. Bye, mom.
M: Bye.
 D: Hey, can I ask you a question?
Waitress: Wait a minute.
A: I’m telling you, Matti, could be better!
Matti: I get it, but I’m just telling you there’s a lot involved with this. It’s not just opening some bar. You need a whole concept. You have to think about it!
A: You don’t necessarily need to come up with something new? You could just take the Casino Club and copy that. Just make it better, fancier, more expensive…
M: Fancier and more expensive than the Casino Club?!
A: And just make it fucking hot, man, you know? Designer sex, right?
M: Designer sex…
A: What about the title: Crazy Lulu?
?: Crazy Loulou? Sorry, ‘Lex, no.
Margeaux: Loulou? Isn’t that that cheap perfume?
A: Not like the fucking perfume, you write it with two u’s, but you pronounce it…
?: Lulu?
A: Not lulu. You write it with the u’s but you pronounce it like oo. Lulu.
?: Exactly, Lulu.
M: Lulu.
?: Lulu.
M: Aren’t those cookies?
A: Matti, for real, if you don’t have anything to contribute to the conversation, just keep it shut.
M: No, but seriously. Those bears and letters. In this big bag? We have those at home.
L: Lulu? Isn’t that a play?
A: Ah. There we go. A play. About a lesbian high-end whore during the Jack the Ripper era.
L: That’s a little simplified.
A: Matti has to be able to follow as well, you know, baby?
M: And who are you, our great play lover?
Waitress: Follow me.
A: Don’t stare like that.
L: What?
A: Hey.
L: What?
 Waitress: Jacques? The student.
D: Hey, good morning.
Jacques: About time, don’t you think? Are you scared they’re going to steal it?
D: No, I just forgot my bike lock.
J: Follow me. Hospitality experience: none. Seventeen?
D: Sorry.
J: Name.
D: Daan.
J: Last name.
D: Paroty.
J: What?
D: Paroty.
J: Buroni. Buroni… Surinamese?**
D: Half. Racist?
J: Half. Here, you can fill out the rest at home, and then you can start earning some money. I’ll go grab your uniform.
D: Uniform?
 M: I just don’t think anyone’s waiting for a titty bar here in Knokke.
A: Please! It’s not a titty bar, dude!
M: But that’s what it comes down to!
A: No! You don’t know jack shit about doing business, do you?
M: More than you’d think.
A: Aren’t they teaching you this at that Business school? Aside from playing some American football and rugby.
M: Oh! Hockey, not rugby!
A: Sorry.
?: Nice, nice. Yummy.
J: Okay, on top of your head. And now you yell.
D: Boules de Berlin.
J: Louder, Daan. People won’t hear at that volume.
D: Boules de Berlin!
A: Do you still think he’s interesting now?
D: Boules de Berlin!
J: Louder!
L: He’s working for his money.
D: Fresh balls. Boules de Berlin.
J: Fresh balls!
D: Boules de Berlin!
J: Boules de Berlin!
M: Where did they find this clown? He’s new.
?: I wouldn’t mind a taste of his balls.
?: I get it.
J: And we’re off. There you go.
?: Good afternoon.
D: Hey.
Mar: Oh… that’s not for me… These Boules.
?: I’ve never tried them.
Mar: My clothes will be drenched in cream.
D: How many do you want?
A: What’s your name?
D: Daan.
A: You don’t really look like a Daan.
D: I get that a lot.
A: Your box is in a dangerous spot, buddy.
D: No, it’s okay, man. There you go.
Mar: Come on, that’s sad.
A: Sorry.
?: Come on.
A: I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to.
D: It’s okay. It’s okay. Here you go.
A: Do you want one as well…? Oh, I just wanted to ask… I mean. Sorry, I thought… Sorry. I told him, that wasn’t a good spot for the box. [Imitating a Dutch accent:] “No, man, it’s totally fine!”
?: And that on his fist day. What’s Jacques going to say about that?
?: Hey! Hey, what the fuck?!
?: Are you crazy?!
D: No, it’s fine.
?: We got that [on film].
?: What the fuck, dude?
?: Alex, are you okay?
?: Are you okay?
A: I’m okay, I’m okay.
M: Did you lose it [his tooth]?
?: Did you get that [on film]?
J: Hey, what’s going on here?
A: Daan dropped his box of balls, man.
J: On your face?! Come, you, follow me. Come on.
?: Are we going to continue working?
J: Everything is okay, people. Accidents happen.
A: Is he still there?
L: I’m going to the bathroom.
 Boy: Mommy! Mommy!
Man: Move back.
 D: Hey, Jacques. You’re not going to fire the kid, right?
J: Too late, Alex. Already did.
D: You’re not a racist, right, Jacques?
J: What do you think?
D: It doesn’t matter what I think. It matters what people are going to think, buddy.
J: That’s up to the people.
 D: Fucking Knokke, fuck.
Anouk: Good vacation?
D: Knokke. Arrogant, rich assholes.
A: You’ll see more of those here. Anouk.
D: Daan.
A: Daan. And what else? So I can give you a follow. Us tokkies*** have to band together.
D: Paroty. Is that a thing? Brown tokkies?
A: Yeah. They’re the worst, right?
D: True.
A: Are you okay?
D: Sorry, I was just looking at your… shirt. Casino Club. What’s that?
A: It’s a night club in Knokke. Full of rich, arrogant assholes.
D: Fun.
A: It pays well.
D: I can tell. Nice iPhone.
A: Want to buy it from me?
D: If I wanted an iPhone I’d steal one myself.
A: Daan. Do you develop your photos yourself?
D: No, no. I bring them to the store.
A: I’d love to see them. Especially the ones of me. From this afternoon, in the sun. I have to get going, Daan. You can keep that.
M: Hey.
D: Hey.
M: Oh! Wait. Before I forget… [Spanish] Un, dos, tres.
D: How did you get this?!
M: Stole an electric bike.
D: Sure.
M: I borrowed it from an old friend.
D: Since when do you have friends?
M: I was young once. I have friends too.
D: Really?
M: Daan, how was work? Daan?
D: Like this.
M: Will you be sleeping there?
D: Yeah.
M: On that one?
D: Okay?
M: Yes, okay. Yes. Uhm, how was work?
D: Yes, uhm, good. Nice boss.
M: Okay. Bye.
D: Good luck.
?: Oh, look here!
?: Hey. How are you?
Grandma: Hi baby.
E: Hi, mom.
 M: I’ve told you once and I’ll keep telling you. I just think Crazy Lulu is a ridiculous name. It’s just a ridiculous name.
A: Are you drinking two glasses?
M: I’m thirsty, aren’t I?
A: Just make sure you’re not throwing up on my shoes later, buddy. I still remember last time. I haven’t forgotten! There’s still chunks on my shoes!
Mar: I was wearing sandals and it also got –
Louise’s mom: Hey, I heard your nanny quit?
E: Yeah, can you believe that?!
Mom: Yeah, Olivia told me.
E: From one day to the next she just left, without saying a word. Really.
Mom: Yeah?
E: Anyway, I shouldn’t say anything cause she’s going to study to be a nurse, so.
Mom: But come on, so selfish!
L: Your dad’s here.
P: Hey, Daniel. I’ll be with you in a moment.
E: There he is.
P: Don’t forget.
Mom: Hey, hello, Patrick.
C: Patrick, so nice of you to come!
P: Hey. Show me!
C: Yes.
?: Will it take long before…
A: Hey. Your mom is selling my dad that Fontana?
Mar: Uhu.
M: Fontana?
L: Together with Max Baumann he was one of the most important minimalists.
A: The white canvas with the rips.
M: That’s it? Those three rips?
Mar: That’s why it’s a minimalist.
M: It’s definitely the smalles piece here.
P: It’s beautiful. Really.
E: Yeah, it’s is.
M: And how much are they asking for it?
Mar: Mom is asking 1.7 million.
M: 1.7 million? For three rips?
L: I’d spend it better.
M: You’d open a titty bar, wouldn’t you, Alex? Crazy Lulu. Or have you found a better name yet?
P: Can we get down to the business side of things? Before we’re too drunk.
C: Follow me.
Mar: I think they’ve sealed the deal.
M: 1.7 million. I’d know what to do with that kind of money. Right, Victor? I’d buy a nice yacht in Saint-Tropez.
A: I’m gonna take a leak.
[Anouk: now you can look your fill]
C: Well, the Fontana is officially yours!
C: The guests are waiting.
P: Let the guests wait.
C: Oh, yes!
E: Where is he? It’s her last number. I’m going to have a look.
 E: It’s Olivia’s last song. Where’s dad? Hm? What?
A: Mom.
E: What?
C: Well, congratulations!
E: It’s Olivia’s last song! She’s almost done.
P: This had to be signed, right?
E: Great.
Louise’s mom: Did it go through?
E: Yeah, it’s done.
P: Beautiful, little olive. Amazing, honey. Come on, take a bow.
E: Bravo!
C: So talented.
E: She’s amazing.
C: I’d enter her in the Queen Elisabeth competition.****
E: She’s better than her teacher. I mean, he tells us that himself. Chopin, Debussy… Much better.
C: I’m going to…
Louise’ mom: Great atmosphere, Christine! Truly! I won’t be stay for too long. Honey, tomorrow?
E: Yes, 10 at Natan’s.
Louise’ mom: For Emilie’s wedding.
P: You think I could pop by soon?
Louise’ dad: For a shot?
P: It’s been almost three months now.
Louise’ dad: Okay. Oh, you’re kidding. It’s like they can smell it. Emergency at the hospital.
P: The same old, same old?
Louise’ dad: Yeah. Okay.
P: You go ahead.
Louise’ dad: Honey, there’s an emergency case. What?
Louise’ mom: At the hospital?
Louise’ dad: Yeah. Honey, emergency.
Louise’ mom: Congratulations!
P: Thank you.
A: Did your dad leave?
L: Dad always has an emergency case if he’s not having fun somewhere. Anyway…
A: I’ve had it as well with this place, actually.
L: We did what we had to do.
D: Come on, dude, I’ve listened to enough piano.
Mar: Thank you.
D: Hey, good evening.
Security: Good evening. Do you have an invite?
D: Yes. Anouk invited me.
Security: Anouk? Doesn’t ring a bell.
D: No? Short lady, black hair, lots of tattoos?
A: Thomas!
Security: Good evening.
All: Good evening.
D: Maybe she’s inside. She’ll recognize me when she sees me.
Security: No, dude.
D: Hey. He’s with us.
Security: Have fun.
D: Thank you.
A: Welcome to Knokke, bitch.
A: Six glasses, Anouk.
?: Champagne!
L: There’s your flame.
A: I think she’s so fucking hot.
An: Hey, Daan.
D: Hey.
An: Are these those rich assholes? Okay.
A: What the fuck?! Don’t be so shy!
A: You’re thinking about him, aren’t you?
L: Who?
A: I saw you looking.
L: Who?
A: You know who.
L: You’re crazy.
A: You make me crazy.
D: Hey, mom. I’ll be out all night. I’ll be home tomorrow morning.
L: Daan!
A: Daan, come dude!
L: Alex, no.
?: Come on, join us.

Daan and his mom Melissa are Dutch, as is Margaux’s mom Christine. (Margeaux herself didn’t have a particularly Dutch sounding accent to me.)

INDIES TOP 111 HINDI TELEVISION SERIALS OF ALL TIME!
INDIES TOP 111 HINDI TELEVISION SERIALS OF ALL TIME!
Of a time when Indian television, in its nascent stages, in it's first decade as a independent entertainment platform, format & medium, extending itself beyond the 3/4th century old Indian cinema tradition, was able to maintain a storyboard soul structure, alongside it’s much heralded beautiful traditional rich deeply cultured exposition of drama, all whilst giving voice to longer more patient more marinated forms of storytelling within its fold.
Till the new millennia & the few yrs just preceding, that is, (barring a very few modern exceptions, decent enough to mingle with the greats, & included herein), with its commercially driven sloth in keeping the beating of the dead horse on, till viewers & makers themselves lost all sense of carriage, motion, plan, direction, or vision, birthed a collective numbing & dumbing down of societal viewership consciousness, in front of our very eyes – a veritable genetic mutation of sorts of collective taste, just like that.
So here we are at Indies - remembering the old glorious normal, for pleasure & posterity - & for our future generations deserve to have a semblance of sense of our once golden cultural humanity. For no generation, howsoever materially satiated, can thrive w/o deeper hope !
Of our blessed past. And the latent magical shelter of it's proficiently fulfilling, heart-tugging narrative. 🙏

back to kicking my feet and thinking of the sulfur god story bits (fuger termina spoilers but mainly crazed rambling)
I like the theory that daan is somehow key to the sulfer rituals and somehow a new god candidate because of how rher intervened to stop him in other endings (moonscorch) but also I feel like that doesn't make sense? Why would Elise and the Baron wait till he was away from the manor to do their part of the ritual? We see the ritual mark in another location/time in the apartments so like i feel like he's not really that key at all?
But also with the blank soul and the sulfer god ending kind of being similar to how pocket cat is talking about daan freeing himself? The possibility that the ritual needs to involve someone with a blank soul to complete properly is an interesting idea?
I love the sulfer god stuff in general cause even O'saa and mr talking head can't really explain anything. It's a fun ominous mystery to leave floating around. The fact that Daan can have 2 weird endings where either he aligns with rher or the sulfer god via perkele is super interesting though! I want to like keep piecing the lore together that he has a significant weird place in it rather than just being unfortunately adjacent to it.
I also wonder how innocent Elise was? Daan is quick to say she was sacrificed but perkele explains you need to essentially kill yourself or otherwise die in order to finally go to the sulfur god and be born again? I was assuming the baron just killed her for part of a ritual but its also possible she needed to do that to herself?
I feel like if they wanted to have Daan join them both in sulfur they would have held the ritual while he was there? Maybe they assumed he wouldn't be back? It's completely open so I like thinking about all the little possibilities!
It is still stuck in my head though that potentially the sulfur cult, who is masquerading as rher, are related very closely to his backstory? And he is also the only character that really interacts with a part of actual rher through pocket cat?
I'm going to be rotating this in my mind for a while hadkfjghadg - gods cant resist that blank soul rizz

A Teenage in Hiding
In the first entrances before July of 1942, we see a typical young girl with aspirations, teenage melodrama, and school life. It all changes the day she has to go into hiding.
The hiding place is a company building with an annex containing a few abandoned offices. Anne's family, the Franks, share space with the Van Daan (Van Pels): Hermann, an employee of Otto Frank (Anne's father), and his wife Auguste. In November of 1942, the two families are joined by Dr. Dussel (Friedrich Pfiffer), a dentist and friend of both families. Together, they make of the abandoned annex their refuge and home, with as many commodities as they manage to obtain.
For the first weeks, she seems to be coping relatively well to her new life. She and her sister manage to continue studying and entertaining themselves as new books are being brought every now and then. Anne even starts learning new things, like English, Dutch, and French. Besides books, other goods were being brought by the many helpers of the two families to sustain themselves: canned food, flour, sugar, toilet paper, and even magazines and news letters to stay up-to-date with the outside world.
Overtime, however, the life in "The Annex" begins to take toll on Anne. She would feel lonely, depressive, and sometimes almost desperate. During the day they had to keep the windows closed, so only during the evening she could open them just slightly, to let the outside breeze blow her in the face, she would also spend a lot of time listening to the people passing by the building, longing for freedom.
Relationships between her family and the Van Daan begin to turn sour. Anne grows despiteful of Mrs. Auguste, as the latter seems to have taken an unappropriated, coquettish mannerism towards her father. Anne's perception for Mr. Van Daan is not positive either, as she perceives him as a languish man who barely holds care for his wife's behavior. However, not only does her relationship with the Van Pels becomes problematic, but also with her own parents; as she grows more and more depressive, she becomes more conflictive, especially towards her mother, Edith Frank. Anne makes friend with Peter, the Van Daan's only child. Together, as teenagers, they share common feelings and struggles, while trying to make other feel better about their situation.
Outside the "Secret Annex" there's anarchy; the Germans are on a deportation spree, sending thousands of Christians and Jews alike to concentration camps. The streets are ever more empty, and people have begun to loot houses, stores, and other buildings. The police cannot be trusted as most of them have sided with the Nazi occupiers. The lower ground of the Annex became subject of at least two robberies, causing Anne and the other residents much stress due to the fear of being discovered. As more and more similar occurrences take place, Otto and Hermann decide they need to put more strict precautions to keep themselves save, like forbidding anyone from going downstairs when it gets dark or going to the bathroom after a certain hour of the night.
As the weeks turn into months, and months give way to a new year, life in the Secret Annex turns harder, partly due to the circumstances outside of it. Flour and sugar rations have become more scarce, many vegetables cannot be acquired anymore, electricity power begins to fluctuate, and interactions between the inhabitants of the annex become conflictive and evitative. Anne's relationship with her mother has deteriorated to the point she tries to interact with her as little as possible, while her view on Mrs. Van Pels improved slightly. She becomes very close to Peter and there might be hints of romantic feelings flourishing in the future.
Even though Anne's entrances at the beginning of 1943 are much darker and depressive compared to those of last year, she tries to cope with her situation by indulging in activities such as writing to make her feel better. She also decides to actively change her attitude towards the people she lives with. She passed from hating Mrs. Van Daan to be more comprehensive; she stopped holding grudges towards her mother and instead simply tried to avoid her so that they will not have to start arguing and yelling. She believes that she has grown up and matured throughout the year and she feels optimistic that the war will end soon and that she will be free once more, although she knows she would never be the Anne she used to be before "The Secret Annex".

I was deeply inspired by tingin habang nagiging delulu about ni crushie akkskxkxk
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Mga saglit na inilikha, Kakaiba ang tama'
Passing by the school hallway with my friends as we go back to the classroom as our next class is about to start soon.
Sharing stories and laughing as we walk along the halls, passing by students and seniors not paying attention as we passed by and continued chatting....yet one caught my attention resulting to me looking back.
'Ng sinag sa 'yong kutis na kayumanggi, Oh s'an ba 'ko dinadala'
He caught my attention, although he wasn't tan he definitely had a pale complexion, you had glasses too, for some reason I couldn't keep my eyes off him but decided to just brush it off, not thinking much of it.
'Bawat ngiting biglaang nabura, Iyong napinta'
Sitting with my friends during break time as we shared more stories, we never seem to run out of stories to share and that made break time fun.
I see you walk in with your classmates talking.
I see you smile and didn't notice I started smiling too....until my friend pointed it out
"Beh bat nakangiti ka?"
I suddenly stopped smiling, they all stopped their chit-chatting and followed where my eyes lingered and they saw you, they looked back at me and started making teasing sounds, and I knew where this was heading
'Hiwaga ng 'yong tingin, nang-aalipin, Kahit sa'n man madala'
I started looking for you, I didn't even notice that I was until my neck was in pain as it was being too far streched looking for that familiar figure of yours.
I never paid mind to it as I thought of it nothing much.
"Beh baka mahati yang leeg mo kakahanap kay mr. Salamin"
They gave you a nickname, they started teasing me too.
'Di pinapansin ingay sa tabi, magulong kapaligiran sayo lang ang tingin'
I didn't mind or care anymore, I knew within me and my friends knew that I would always look for you and without fail you were always there.
Everytime I would spot you, there would be a smile that would land on my face. Like I just had acquired a big accomplishment.
My friends would even call me when they saw you, telling me that you were right behind me.
"BEH AYAN NA SIYA SA LIKOD MO"
'Di pinapansin, ika'y paiikutin nang dahan-dahan lang, sa gitna na ng daan'
It came to a point where in looking for you after my classes became a habit, even if we had different schedules I knew we had the same breaks, because for some odd reason you were always there when I would look for you.
'Sa bawat sandali na ikaw ay pinagmamasdan'
I felt a pair of eyes on me but when I looked back I only saw a group of girls talking and laughing as if they owned the hallway.
'May dumadapong kiliti na 'di maunawaan'
One stood out with glasses and her hair in a bun, her smile gave off sunshine, it radiated peace and calm yet so much joy
I didn't even notice that I was staring until my classmate called me
"Pre okay ka lang?"
'Walang imik, di mabanggit na sa aking isip, Ikaw lang ang nagmamarka"
I noticed you staring at me through my pereferal vision, but I didn't mind because although my sight was limited I noticed how you would smile and I found that so wonderful.
Wishing I could look into your eyes without you looking away because I can stare at them all day.
"Bro nakatingin na naman siya sayo"
'Kahit mabitin aking salita, mata'y ibinubuyag na'
There you are again I see you along the hallway but I don't mind because seeing you oddly calms me down, you calm me down.
Especially with your smile.
'Sayo lang magpapaangkin, di palalampasin 'wag ka sanang kumawala.... 'Di mawawala'
There you are. Found you
'Di pinapansin, ingay sa tabi. Magulong kapaligiran, sa'yo lang ang tingin'
I would look for you and then once I find you I would purposely walk infront of you to see you smile, you wouldn't but I was aware that you are looking for me too.
I would walk pass by you just so I could see your smile and how your eyes would sparkle.
Because those are what keeps me going.
'Di pinapansin, ika'y paiikutin nang dahan-dahan lang, sa gitna na ng daan'
"Si bro ay parang tanga hinahanap tapos kapag andiyan biglang naging nonchalant"
"Pabayaan niyo na ngumingiti naman si girl kapag dumadaan siya"
Oo nga, pero hindi nila alam na napapngiti mo din ako habang nakita kita. Did I just think in straight tagalog?
'Oh~'
Oh I didn't see you today.
'Oh~'
Still didn't see you today.
'Oh~'
Where are you?
'Oh~'
Nag-aalala na ako, asan ka ba?
'Di man alam and darating, sa dulo at sa gitna ng dilim'
It's finals week and I am drowned with all of the studying, trying to catch up for my grades to be saved. Why did I even enter this course.
I have been studying that I wouldn't even go out for breaks and go home as soon as classes would end.
I haven't seen you in awhile as I am so occupied with studying for finals.
"Beh parang mababaliw ka na kakaaral diyan"
'Sa liwanag mo nakatingin, Sa'yo nakatingin, sayo lang ang tingin'
"Bro parang nababaliw ka na kakaisip kung saan si ate girl"
They're right it's finals week and I haven't seen you in a week.
I can't even study properly because I can't stop thinking about you and the nagging of my friends.
Where are you?
'Di man alam and darating, sa dulo at sa gitna ng dilim'
Another study day. I feel like dying.
The only thing I have been looking at this week were my notes.
I stopped studying for a moment to stretch my neck and back as I have been slouching for hours now.
I took off my earphones as I streched and opened my eyes again and saw....
'Sa liwanag mo nakatingin, Sa'yo nakatingin, sayo lang ang tingin'
I decided to have a change of scenery and decided to study in a cafe, away from my nagging friends. So I could have some alone time with my thoughts as well.
When I was nearing the cafe I looked at my phone check the time and when I entered the cafe I saw....
'Di pinapansin, ingay sa tabi. Magulong kapaligiran, sa'yo lang ang tingin'
You.
I saw You
'Di pinapansin, ika'y paiikutin nang dahan-dahan lang, sa gitna na ng daan'
I shocked when I saw you and even more shocked when you came near the table.
There you are, I didn't expect you to be here yet here you are. It was a good idea that i came here
"The other tables seems to be filled, can I sit with you?"
I nodded in shock, no words could come out of my mouth.
He is literally right infront of me talking to me smiling at me.
'Di pinapansin, ingay sa tabi. Magulong kapaligiran, sa'yo lang ang tingin'
He sat down right infront of me setting his things on the chair beside him as he set his study guides on the table.
I still couldn't process things.
I could sense that she was in a state of shock, I decided to converse with here to ease the vibe.
'Di pinapansin, ika'y paiikutin nang dahan-dahan lang, sa gitna na ng daan'
They both talked and talked
Minimal studying happened, atleast two hearts at a certain table in that cafe are happy.
So happy that they didnt even notice their hands interlocked.
