How do you deal with the build of requests? I have 16 in my inbox and like 3 extra I’m trying to add on and it’s so much, how do you do it?

Honestly man, a lot of the time I’m really bad at it - for instance, right now I have about 50 requests plus like the stuff that I want to write (by that I mean like series, one shots etc) and so I mean I’m regularly quite swamped with requests but the way that I personally deal with it is trying to group requests together if I can and I always start by writing the ones that I’m feeling particularly inspired by at that time (which is why I often ask for requests for specific characters) as that helps to get me into the swing of writing. I just have to remind myself a lot that I’m not under an obligation to write if I don’t want to - I’m allowed to take breaks and reject requests that I don’t feel comfortable writing, and that I shouldn’t have to force myself to write if I don’t want to.

Does that help? Just try not to stress yourself out too much, take it at your own pace, have a cup of tea, relax and come back to your writing when you feel inspired and work from there, that’s kinda the best advice I’ve got - sorry it’s kinda sucky haha

After waking up for a nap, I left mine and Wes’ shared bedroom, walking past the nursery of our daughter. Peaking in, I saw him on the rocking chair holding her in one arm and our 4 year-old son on his lap.

“What are you 3 doing?” I smiled, leaning against the doorway.

“Oh I played with them all morning, made them lunch, played again, read to them, and now he’s napping and I can’t move.” He grinned.

“Need some help?” I giggled, walking over. He just nodded and I leaned down to pick up our son, setting him on my hip.

“Thank you, she actually just woke up not too long ago, so, she should be good.” He stood up, and kissed my head as we left the room to go to our sons bedroom.

We brought him to his room and I laid him down, kissing his head. Wes and I made our way to the living room to watch a movie, I sat next to him as he held our daughter with one arm around me.

“You know, this is the best job in the world. You guys are my world I can’t imagine my life without you.” He kissed the top of my head.

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

I’m very happy with the fact that I choose now, when haven’t been sleeping more than 3 hours a day fir a full two week, to start writing again.
